Hey readers! Okay, it's almost three months so here you go, a new chapter released for the world to see. Don't want to waste your guys time with my ramblings so let's get on to the story. Still, as always my response to the reviews first.

To Guestashio,

Actually, alcohol on its own doesn't have a specific taste nor smell so you can't recognise them. Besides, although wine and sake both contain alcohol, their base ingredients are different. Wine use fermented grapes, sake use fermented rice, very different especially in the taste so I don't think Louise can recognize it. About the tolerance thing, you raise a good point. However, we need to remember, although Louise used to drink (not sure how often she drink), she didn't really drink that much in the first place so it's plausible to say her tolerance to alcohol wasn't exactly as high as we might assume.

Past tense, present tense, I have problems with them all the time. Even my teachers say that to me back in the day, but I'm trying my best, okay? Emphasize on the try part.

To supersonic0493,

Well... You're close so I'll just say who they are. It is Taiga and Ryuji from the infamous Toradora which is one of my favourite anime of all time. Won't it be amazing to see Louise and Taiga sitting together talking about their respective partner? The meeting of the two tsundere. I wonder what it will lead to?

To chaveezzL,

The first chapter of the year and it's a hot lemon. I think it's a good way to begin the year wouldn't you agree. I never watched nor read 50 shades of gray so I can't really tell, but I guess, maybe?

That's definitely the perfect summary for this, couldn't think of anything better. Oh, and maybe... The best time of Saito's life? He's a pervert after all.

To Kindabruhlol,

Yay! Thanks for mentioning the reference! I'm glad someone noticed. Thank you! More lemons? Sure, why not. Everyone loves lemon, don't they?

To MechaDragon99,

Hey, don't sweat it. It's fine. I can totally understand what you mean by how it looks like a side chapter. Considering how it didn't contribute much to the progression of the story, it's not wrong to call it a side chapter. The point behind it was to fill the gap between after the defeat of the dragon and the couple's marriage plus to give some explanation to some unresolved issues. For example, the state of Romalia after the crisis which was explained in Saito's conversation with Julio. Feel free to treat the special chapters anyway you like. As long as you enjoy them, it's enough for me as a writer.

Two Point Hospital Vs Trauma Center? Both are great games, but like you said, comparing them is unfair because although they're medical games, each was completely different than the other so it's hard to compare. I would still recommend Two Point Hospital though because management simulation games are more of my thing. Oh... Doujin artist? Who is it? Someone famous? Who? Who? Tell me, please!

Manga recommendations? Oh... This sounds interesting. I'll be honest, I don't really read manga much. I'm more of a... Anime guy. Still, your recommendation seems interesting. Haven't had time to read any yet, but I'll keep them in my to-do list. Hopefully, I can fulfil them... Someday.

The lemon, oh the sweet lemon. I'm aware of the catgirl scene, but can you actually expect what people would do when they're drunk? Besides, I'm sure everyone wants to see Louise be more active during her... Ahem! Night activities. 28 chapter ago? Wow, that's a long time. It is difficult to make a lemon. You have to do a lot of research (don't ask what kind of research I did) on making sure it's not repetitive. The hardest thing though was to give details, but at the same time not to go tmi which was pretty much the same thing you said. It's very easy to go tmi and I'm talking from experience. Once failed a test because I gave too many details in my essay which ends up with me unable to finish it in time. It sucks, I tell you. Porn with plot? Really, that's a thing?

Trip to Thailand? Wow, I envy you. I want to go there too or maybe Indonesia, but the one place I really want to go is without a doubt, Japan. I always wanted to see how crazy the Comiket event is in real person. However, my real dream is to go camping somewhere where I can get a full view of Mount Fuji. Imagine, making a BBQ under the moonlight with the mountain right in front of you. That's heaven for me. If I got the opportunity, I'll love to go hiking up there as well. Most importantly, I'm gonna have a feast with real Japanese food made by Japanese hands. Oh yeah, that'll be the highlight of the trip. Sadly, I don't think I'll realize that dream anytime soon. Money aside, with the Covid-19 spreading, it's... Not a good idea to go anywhere. Hope you stay healthy, friend.

Oh, Happy Chinese New Year which has passed for... A long time already. Well, better late than never, right? Okay, see you again! Buh, bye!

To Lockus,

Thank you for the kind words. Take it to a studio? Well, if I did that I'll risk getting sued by the creators because you know, copyright. Even if they didn't sue me, they can take the whole story and claim it was theirs while I won't get a single cent for the idea. As I said, copyright.

To daydreamer269,

Haa... You lose your phone? I feel you brother. That one of the most terrible things that could happen, especially when there's a lot of stuff on the missing phone. Well, at least you got a new one and honestly, I won't put my hope high either.

Oh, yes it's a lemon. Yesss! I hope you managed to get all that blood cleaned up. I don't want to be a suspect in a supposed murder or anything okay? Thanks for the praise. I'll admit if you compared my lemon from the first one up until the recent one, it's pretty clear I'm improving. Training? If you mean watching a lot of hentai, that would be a definite yes. Anyway, glad you like it.

To Kotano-chan,

Kotano-chan... Where are you...? We got some work to do now... (Singing the Scooby-Doo theme) No, seriously, where are you? Did something happen? Are you busy? Well... I'm not forcing to review. As long as you're reading this story and loving it, that's enough for me. Still, hope to hear from you.

Okay, that's it, let's keep this short. Enjoy the story and stay tuned for the next chapter which the release date was a mystery even to me.

MAY PEACE BE WITH YOU

[Read, Enjoy, Review]

Chapter 73: Pool Trouble

"Haa... This is heaven..."

Breathing out in satisfaction while losing herself in serenity was one young college girl, barely pass her twenties yet legal in so many ways than one. With the warm rays of the sun showering over her ripe figure, she lays still with her arms crossed behind her as she embellished herself in every second of this peaceful summer day. On the side, one boy stood firm, silent and forgotten as he found himself dumbfounded to the sight he was left to witness. No words came into his mind nor lips, as he was conflicted between simply ignoring this matter and move on with his life or interrupt the girl's private moment in paradise. Alas, in the end, same as the path the rest of humanity frequently choose, he succumbs to the depths of curiosity and opens his mouth.

"Nee-san... What in the world are you doing?" Saito asked, both out of curiosity and confusion.

As her supposedly calm afternoon officially ruined, Asuna glanced back at her brother with disbelief, less than pleased for the interruption, "Jeez, can't you see? What else? Relaxing in a pool."

Yes, it's exactly as what she said. Asuna was in a pool, kicking back with her body soaked to the brim in the cold, refreshing water. To make it clear, we're not talking about the pool you can find at a water park or at times in schools nor the one the rich and powerful usually have sitting in their backyard which becomes the source of envy for the neighbourhood. No, no, nothing that grand. The pool Asuna was referring to and currently in was simply the inflatable kind. The type you can easily find pretty much anywhere these days for reasonable price especially during the season, yet judging from the surrounding and the way she acts with the bikini and all, it seems like she was at an actual pool. The reality is however, she was only dipping in a plastic pool out in the lawn of her family home. If one has to say, the pool itself was neither too big nor too small, Still, but in the end, a pool is a pool.

"I know that!" Saito claim. "But... Just- When did you even get this? I don't remember we have one of this in the house before."

"We didn't, I only got it this morning. There was a sale at the store near the station. You won't believe how cheap I got it for. It's a good deal," Asuna grinned with a thumbs up, feeling smug for some reason.

"Okay, but why?" Saito stressed, yet unable to find logical reasoning behind this seemingly pointless purchase.

"Well... Why not? It's hot and I felt like dipping in. It's what society calls, enjoying the days of summer in case you didn't know and as far as I'm aware, buying a pool is not a crime," Asuna peered, going with her usual teasing tone.

"If you're that hot, why didn't you just go to the public pool then?" Saito points out, refusing to accept such a vague explanation. "It wasn't that far. Besides, fall is pretty close already. Isn't it too late for something like this? It's not exactly hot either."

"Tch! Tch! Tch! You don't understand anything Saito," Asuna waves her finger in front of his face. "Living a summery life even till the very last moment of the season. Appreciating every single second of the sun over your head like it was the last one you'll have. That's what you call dedicating your life to summer. That is youth! Oh, well... not like an idiot like you will get it. You're 1000 years too early to match my maturity after all. Ahaha!"

While Asuna laughs out with pride from her... inspiring speech, Saito was left shaking his head as he was at a loss of words. He gave up. This argument was too mentally exhausting and downright annoying for what it's worth. Hard to believe this girl who just spoke was the same one that used to be an honour student during her high school years and adored by many. If only they knew. No matter, his sister can go on and live with her life principles, he won't be bothered anymore or at least he hopes to. However, his sister wasn't the only reason he went out of this way to come to the pool.

"That aside... How come you're here as well?" Saito turns to face the other girl in the pool who's trying to hide behind a beach ball. An attempt doomed to fail as his eyes instantly met hers.

"Um... Asuna invite me to join her so... I did?" Louise told him. An answer he expects, but it's good to know anyway.

"Hey! Don't pick on my little sis! What's wrong with her jumping in? Unlike you, she knows how to enjoy youth," Asuna said, going full throttle into her sister protection mode.

"Nothing, just wondering. She's my responsibility now so I have the right to know. Especially when it involves someone like you..." Saito muttered the last part, but it was loud enough for Asuna to catch on.

"Eh... Can you say that again, you idiotic brother," Asuna stood up, visibly irritated as she glared at him. "What was it again? Someone like me? What was that supposed to mean? Hmm?"

"I said... Someone like you. Someone who can be a bad influence on my wife," Saito didn't back down, as he glared back at her.

"Oh... Bad influence? To Louise? Wait... Are you talking about yourself? Porn reader?" Asuna went with the first attack, hitting where it hurts.

"For your information, I stop reading them a long time ago you tomboy," Saito counterattacks, not pulling any punches.

"You did... Huh? Didn't expect that the neighbourhood idiot can do that," she went for another strike, undeterred by his attempt.

"Well, maybe I'm an idiot, but at least I have a wife who would stay with me for the rest of my life, unlike a certain someone who never had a boyfriend or kiss anyone in that matter."

"I'm single by choice, but I guess a pervert like you know nothing about that."

"Grr... Archery freak."

"Uhh... Totally average guy."

"Big eater."

"Dumb idiot."

"Terrifying girl."

"Lolicon."

"Um... You two... Please stop arguing..." Louise said from the side, though her words ended up lost into the air as the two keep dissing each other to the edge.

Without the need to be said, this wasn't the first time the siblings argued for her. It's kinda weird having your husband and sister-in-law fighting each other for your attention, but over time Louise has somewhat gotten used to this siblings quarrel. Truth be told, it does make her happy to know that they both cared for her so much, although she would feel a lot better if they didn't have to resort to a petty argument which puts her in a quite an uncomfortable position.

"Uhh... You- Wait a minute. Ah... I see... I get it..." Asuna held her chin while nodding, coming to realise something.

"What? You're giving up?" Saito said, hoping to hear a word of surrender as he was running out of ideas for dissing.

"Ehehe... Ehehe... I knew it... That explains everything... Hehehe... Just admit it Saito," Asuna chuckles in amusement. "It's nothing to be embarrassed of."

"Huh? W-what are you talking about? Why would I be embarrassed about in the first place?" Saito was left oblivious, not having the slightest idea of what's going on in his sister's head.

"Come on... Do you think you can trick me? I know..." Asuna wryly smiled." You're jealous aren't you?"

"Jealous? W-why would I be jealous?" Saito denied but stuttered in his words.

"Come on... Admit it... I know you want a spot in. That's why you keep pestering us. No need to be shy. Hora... If you say so right now, maybe I'll be a little generous and let you in too," Asuna offered, wishing that it would break his ego down.

"Not interested. By the way, did mom know about this? You remember what happened last time we did something involving water in the lawn don't you. Do you want us to get scolded again?" Saito reprimands, not wanting history to repeat itself.

No way any of them could forget the day when their mother got angry. It was an extremely rare scene for the household thus it was near impossible for anyone to erase those memories from their mind even if they try. For a full 30 minutes, all three conspirators of the notorious water warfare, found themselves kneeling on the lawn as Yuno gave them a long, torturing lecture where they can only hang their head in silence, unable to even open their mouths to reply. Not enough with that, she also gave them an hour to return the lawn to it's original, neat state or there wouldn't be any lunch nor dinner for any of them. Luckily enough, no one was forced to skip a meal that day and by the time lunch was served, she already forgave them. Though... She does make them promise not to repeat it again and they knew better not to break it.

"Don't sweat it. It's fine, I already told her. She says it's okay as long as we didn't make any mess like last time. Oh, and do not waste too much water. She really stressed on that," Asuna said, remembering every word her mother told her. "Anyway, no need to change the topic. I can see right through you."

"Uggh..." Saito gritted his teeth as his attempt to escape the situation was blown.

"Saito..." Louise voiced out. "Do you really want to join us?"

"See... Even Louise is asking. Do you want to disappoint her? Hurry and admit already. My offer's still open. You want to come in or not?" Asuna pushed the issue harder, using everything she got to lure him into submission.

"I... I..." Saito's lips shiver while his heart began to falter. If he has to be honest, he was a bit... envious. The two of them having fun together while he alone was left out simply doesn't sit well with him. He wants to be a part of it too, but was that really worth it for him to put his ego down in front of Asuna? Shame or joy? That's the question which in its own was an extremely hard choice to make.

"Last call! Anyone who wishes to get in better say so!" Asuna shouts out. "Ah... So sad for those who couldn't get in! Right, Louise?"

"Um... Yes! Yes, too bad for them!" Louise echoes her, unintendedly pulled into her sister's scheme.

Sweat running down his cheeks, fists clenched hard as Saito struggled to keep his composure. Never had it cross his mind that he would find himself locked up in such a pinch. Even without looking, he can tell Asuna was grinning from ear to ear, enjoying every little bit of his conflict. If he admits his true feeling, it will only serve to please her further, but... he wants to join too... He really wants too...

"F-fine... I... Actually, I-"

"Bzzt! Bzzt! Time is over! Offer's closed! Sorry, no more entry!" With her signature buzzer sounds, Asuna cuts Saito from saying whatever he was about to say. Leaving it for others to assume.

Saito, caught by surprise, remains stunned there for a moment, seemingly having a hard time understanding the situation. Same for his wife who didn't expect the twist either. However, when he did able to process everything, lets just say he's not happy.

"Asuna... Y-you..." Flames of anger spiral in Saito's eyes as he glared down his sister.

"I told you... You should have admit it earlier. It's all your fault," Asuna played the innocent card, yet anyone could tell she did it all on purpose and was definitely enjoying this much to Saito's annoyance.

"Ughhh... Ah! Fine, whatever. Just do what you guys want!"

Finally had enough with the continuous teasing and humiliation, Saito turns away into the house with his teeth gritted and fists clenched, irritated beyond words. He's usually quite patient in dealing with this sort of antics, but there's a limit to how much a guy can handle and this time, he really had enough. He stomps on the ground startling the two girls before him as he forcefully opens the sliding door, generating a loud smashing sounds as it hits the wall. No doubt at this point that he was beyond upset.

"Oh, Saito! Since you're heading inside. Get us some juice! Go, go. Hurry up,' Asuna clapped her hands like a spoiled mistress ordering her butler around. It's baffling how she could be so tactless despite the situation.

"And... Why do you think I would do that? Go get it yourself," Saito retorted, not having the slightest interest to comply as he's barely holding his anger in.

"Hehehe... I know you would say that. You're so predictable little brother," instead of growing irritated or even showing the slightest sign of guilt, Asuna had a mischievous smile, a telltale sign that she has a scheme in mind.

Without a word, the older girl leans over to Louise, whispering something to her ears. Instead of immediately complying, the pinkete stares back at her sister, hesitant to do so, but Asuna reassured her with a simple, It'll be fine. A moment passes with Louise struggling with her inner conscience, but eventually, she turns to her husband with an affirmed, yet mixed feelings.

"Saito, can you get us some juice? Please?" Louise brings out the biggest smile she can, yet it was strained as hesitation still clawed her judgement. That said, it didn't make it any less effective.

"Wha? Y-you... nee-san, that's cheating!" Saito points at his sister, fully aware that it's her plan to exploit his position as a devoted husband.

"No, it's not," Asuna feint innocent once more. "It's your beloved wife asking for a favour. I'm sure a devoted husband like you have no problems with that wouldn't you?"

"S-sorry..." Louise muttered, head hanging low, feeling guilty for forcing him into this situation.

"Asuna... I can't believe you... Guh... Haa... Fine... Give me a minute," Saito weakly sigh, knowing the futility of further resistance. Arguing with her was just not worth losing his temper for.

"Good, now go ahead. Hurry, hurry!" Asuna urges, not showing any signs of guilt.

Saito glared daggers back at his sister, but keep his mouth shut as he entered the house, his back slowly disappearing from sight, leaving only the occupants of the pool out in the lawn.

"Asuna-nee, weren't you being too harsh on Saito?" Louise voiced her thoughts, unpleased with the way her husband was treated. She used to treat him poorly in the past so she was quite acute in this subject. Not something she was proud of, no doubt.

The silence was all Louise got as Asuna remains still on the opposite side of the pool. Whether she heard her or not was unknown, but from her furrowed eyebrows and her unusual quietness, it was clear she was deep in thoughts and particularly restless of something.

"Nee-chan? Nee-chan!?" Louise called out, waking Asuna from her thoughts.

"Oh, what? Ah, sorry, sorry! No, you don't have to worry! Sometimes, we need to give him something to do! It'll be fine! Hahaha!" Asuna laughs out loud with her optimist attitude like she usually would, a complete change from earlier. "Hora, Louise! Pass me the ball! Let's have a battle while our juice comes."

"Ah, right! Here!" Louise throws the ball which Asuna easily catch and threw back at her, creating a rally of ball passing.

From the way it looks, it was as if Asuna's state earlier never happen, but Louise knows something was wrong. That expression on her sisters face... That looks of being troubled. Was it... guilt?

"Ahh... A cold glass of orange juice while in a pool... Guess this is how being rich felt like. Hmm... This is definitely heaven!" Asuna claims, losing herself in her own world.

"Hmm... Hm... I think so too... Louise agreed," sharing a piece of her dream.

"Really, Louise? You don't have to play along with her. It's a waste of time," Saito said as he took a sip of his own juice.

"Oi! No need to say that. Let a girl dream. Not like it's a crime or anything," Asuna replied. "Even you did it once in a while, right?"

"Whatever," Saito shrugs her off, barely making eye contact with her nor having any interest of speaking to her.

With that, no more exchange of words was made between them, leaving behind an uncomfortable silence and tension in the air. Literally stuck in the middle of this conflict, Louise was restless, to say the least as this level of hostility was different from all the previous siblings fight the two had. It was as if... one wrong move could lead to a total disaster. The pinkete first thoughts, of course, were to try de-escalating this situation somehow yet nothing came to mind. Well, she's not exactly experienced with solving problems like this after all.

"It... Seems like there's nothing for me to do here. I'm gonna go read manga or something," Saito rose up, the look of displeasure haven't left him as he looks briefly at his sister. "Go ahead and do what you want. I don't care anymore."

As Saito turns to leave, Louise was pushed into a much more uncomfortable state. If he left now, it will be harder to mend this gap between him and Asuna. The last thing she wants was to see two people she very much care about break apart.

"Wait, Sa-"

"Saito, wait!"

Before Louise could call for him, Asuna did it first, stopping Saito as he was about to enter the house.

"What, you still haven't had enough? You want to annoy me again?" Saito said sarcastically.

Asuna didn't reply immediately as she gathers her words together, realising how thin the line she was walking.

"Look, Saito, I'm..."

"Asuna! Your phone!" Yuno's voice emanates from the house, hinting urgency.

"Huh? Seriously? Ahh... Who's calling at this time? Why does it always have to be at moments like this!? Coming!" Asuna stood from the pool in an instant before grabbing a nearby towel. "Saito, look after the pool, I'll be back in a minute!"

As soon as she says that, Asuna rushed into the house in a record-breaking speed, so fast that Saito could literally feel a gust of wind as she dashed past him. Sometimes, it's easy to forget how inhumanely athletic she was. However, same as how a typhoon left behind rubbles in its wake, Asuna's sprint left behind two people who found themselves at a lost especially Saito who was now stuck in a dilemma between the indoors and the outside.

"So... are you still heading inside?" Louise questions, breaking Saito out from his frozen state.

"Guess... I'll stay for a while," Saito retreat to his original spot. Truthfully, there's no reason for him to look after the pool in the first place, but it does give him a good excuse to stay with Louise after his almost dramatic attempt to leave. Besides, with Asuna out of the picture, it does make staying a bit more relieving. At least, he wouldn't be annoyed again.

As he sat there basking under the sun, Saito took a deep breath, using the peaceful outdoors to calm down. Perhaps, he was too emotional earlier, letting his sister get under his skin, bursting in anger and all. It was just Asuna being Asuna. She was always like that, teasing and making fun of him since they were little. Suppose, he wasn't as cool-headed as he thought he was, or maybe she was more annoying today than ever. Nonetheless, he shouldn't have sulked about that. Definitely not like him.

Taking his mind off the matter, Saito took the opportunity to catch the sight of the lone beauty in front of him. If there was a silver lining in this day, it will be the fact he was able to see Louise in a bikini again. So far, she only wore a bikini twice, both times on the beach and the last time felt like years ago. To get another chance to see her figure clasped in the innocent, white piece, for him it was nothing short of a blessing. The sexiness, the cuteness, the beauty... Oh, how he could stare at her all day long without ever growing tired and he would have if he wasn't greeted by a splash of water straight on the face, blinding his sights for a second.

"B-baka... Don't stare at me like that. It's embarrassing," Louise blushes, splashing water to him yet again.

"Ahaha... Sorry, couldn't help it. I think I said this before, but you look good in that swimsuit. It really suits you," Saito sheepishly said, not learning his lesson despite getting his face wet.

"Moo... I said don't stare. Look away..." Louise said, keeping her body underwater as if hiding from him.

"Don't want to..." Saito went closer to the pool, practically standing next to her with only the pool inflatable walls separating them.

With his eyes literally glued to her, Louise grew more self-conscious, going as far as covering her submerged body with her hands. Being the only one left in the pool didn't help either, as it felt like she was playing alone all this long which was also an embarrassing thing to do for a girl of her age. How she wishes Asuna to return soon and save her from the embarrassment.

However, mixed with the embarrassment in her chest was also a sense of relief as Louise was able to see her husband acting like his usual self. Him grinning like an idiot as he eyed her with undivided attention does make him appear a lot like a pervert, but that's normal for him at least by her standard after living with him for 2 years. An idiot, perverted yet kind-hearted familiar. That's the Saito she knows and deeply in love with. Before she even realises it, Louise already let her guard down and relaxed as she always does around him.

"Nee, Saito? Don't you want to get in?" Louise invites him, seeing no reason not to.

"Eh? Um... No thanks," Saito refuse. "Asuna won't allow me. I already miss my chance after all."

"But, you want to, right? Don't worry, I'll fight for you," Louise insists, willing to stand for his defence in case Asuna came back.

"Nah, it's okay. You don't have to do that. I'm not exactly that interested in the first place," Saito assured her, though it was in reality, half-lie.

"Really? I'm perfectly okay if you want in."

"Really, like I said, I'm not interested. Besides, I prefer watc- AH!"

"Saito?"

The unnatural pause in Saito's sentence along with his surprised gasp immediately alerts Louise as she was quick to notice the change in his expression. From being completely calm to pure surprise, and now to instant alertness. Something was definitely wrong.

"L-Louise, stay still and whatever you do don't look behind you," Saito said nervously, staring sharp into the distance.

"Why? What's behind me?" Like the rest of us or perhaps most of the population would, Louise did the same mistake by doing the exact thing she was strictly told not to. Obviously, in this sort of cases, it never leads to anything good

"Ribbit!"

"Eh...?"

"Ribbit!"

"Ehhhh..."

"Ribbit!"

At that very moment, time itself felt like it has stopped for Hiraga Louise. Her bright face went white as a sheet while her eyes darken, losing the radiance of life. Her throat turns dry as the desert itself and from top to bottom, her body was shivering as if she just caught a cold, but no... It's not a cold, not even close. It was something much, much worse. Something that clutches hard on her heart and refused to let go. It was... Fear.

For a young girl such as Hiraga Louise, there are many things she has grown to hate or rather terrified of throughout her life. Ghost, insects, snakes, being alone in dark places, the usual stereotypical things girls generally tend to stay clear from. Oh, and there's also Kirche, although that's more of someone Louise hate rather than scared of. However, as everyone does, there's one particular thing in the entire universe she could never stand. One that even haunts her in the dream and the same creature she currently has her eyes on as it stared back at her in its malicious form. It's... A frog. A frog swimming in the pool.

Seconds, minutes, hours, or maybe years pass by as the two human and the lone amphibian stared at each other. Without words nor motion, like a still frame of a picture, the scene went by with only the singing of cicadas in the background, clueless to the tension hiding in the afternoon. Eventually, the pang of reality hits and along came the realisation.

"Ah... Ah... Ah... AHHH!" Louise screams out to the top of her lungs, succumbing to the fear.

"L-Louise, calm down!" Saito tried to take control of the situation, but Louise was not exactly in the state to comply.

"Saito, get it away! Get that thing away from me!" Desperate for safety, she went with her instincts and clutches on to her husband as if her life depends on it.

"C-calm down! I'll catch it okay!? J-just... calm down!" Saito struggled to keep Louise calm while she literally chokes him in her fear.

While the couple was trying to sort themselves out, the frog watches from afar. No one knows when it slips into the water nor how did it get into the pool in the first place, but the frog seems to mind it's own business, staying put in the middle of the pool or at least for the moment. Then, whether driven out of pure curiosity or perhaps a sinister intent, the frog swam towards the couple or to be more accurate, towards Louise.

"Ah-ah-ah... I-It's coming to me! Saito, it's coming! Kya! Go away!"

"L-Louise!? Hold on! Wait!"

Losing any sense of reason, Louise left the only safety she got and ran to the other side of the pool, keeping as much distance as possible from the slimy creature. However, the frog took note of this and for unknown reason began to pursue her, making her attempt for an escape nothing more than a pointless struggle

"A-ahh! Why did it follow me!? Go away! Go away!" Louise cried, making another run for it, yet the creature remains close on her trail.

"Y-you frog! Stay away from my wife!" Saito reaches for the frog, hoping to get it out from the pool by the force. However, the frog sees through this and easily dodges before persistently chasing Louise. This... is definitely not an ordinary frog.

From that moment on, began the game of cat and mouse or perhaps should be called cat and frog. Whenever Louise make a move to another side, the frog followed, casually swimming in pursuit while in return, Saito chased the frog from outside the pool, reaching for it every chance he got, but each ends with the frog slipping away from his fingers. Simply said, all three was literally circling the pool, in a game of chase accompanied by screaming, frog sounds, and splashing of water.

To make a point, if Louise wants to get away from the frog, the most logical approach would be to step out of the pool and ran away, preferably into the house. However, in a state of panic, no one can blame her for not thinking straight which sadly makes everything harder for her poor husband who was now at his wit's end. Making laps around the pool while bathing in the sun, was exhausting, to say the least especially in the heat. The only thing in his mind was to end this as soon as possible before he collapsed. As if the gods smiled at him, the chance for that didn't come a minute too soon as the frog stops it's pursuit and stayed idle in the centre of the pool. A chance to good to ignore.

"No more escape, it's over!"

Shouting his warcry, Saito lunges forward with all his might, reaching straight for victory with his eyes fixed on the prize. Yet in his eagerness, he underestimates the strength of his own leap and fails to realise that his feet already left the ground, a fatal mistake he shouldn't have made. By the time he realised it, everything was too late as he was already way past the point of saving.

"GUHH!?"

"Saito!?"

With only the empty air to act as support, gravity was quick to take it's toll on him, pulling Saito straight down to earth, generating a huge splash as he hit face-first into the water. Due to the impact, his vision blurs and his mind lost in confusion as his body slowly submerged to the bottom of the pool, but the lack of breath immediately rouse him to his senses. He sprang up fast, taking his upper body out of the water, before coughing out the water in his throat while desperately catching his breath. Thank the gods, the pool was only around half his height. If this was a real pool, he could have been in real trouble.

"Saito, are you okay? Are you hurt?" Louise rushed to him, her tone filled with concern as she found him coughing non-stop.

"*Cough* *Cough* I'm okay *cough* I just... Swallowed some water," Saito assured her. "The frog... where is it?"

Saito's eyes travel left and right, scanning for any sights of the accursed creature who was the cause of the turmoil and quite literally almost costs him his life. The last time he saw the frog, it was right in front of his face as he reaches for it before he fell into the water, but now it was nowhere to be found. His empty hands were proof enough that he didn't catch it.

"It's... Gone," Louise muttered. "It jumps out from there."

Following Louise's direction, Saito gazes upon at the empty side of the pool. As she said, the frog was no longer there, perhaps already left to bother someone else which was good riddance, to say the least. It was disappointing that he couldn't catch it with his own hands, but at least the problem was solved and his wife was safe. That said, although the frog was gone, now he was left to face another new problem.

"C-cold..." Saito shivers as the sensation finally sank down. He looks down and there was no doubt. From head to toe, he was officially drenched. Droplets of water dripping from his hair and his wet clothes.

"Ehehe... Seems like you ended up in the pool anyway," Louise giggled, finding his state as funny in a way.

"Yeah... Guess I am. Haa... How am I going to explain this to Asu- Eh?"

As cliche as it may sound, once again Saito was sent into pause mode as yet again he saw something unexpected. No, it's not another frog nor was it another kind of animal. It's something else entirely. Something involving his wife which greatly tested his ability to calm his chest. Why is this beautiful day have to become so challenging for him?

"Saito? Why are you looking at me like that?" Louise asked, noticing the blush and his diverting eyes as if he was shy about something.

"No- Nothing... It's just..." Saito hesitates to continue. Not knowing whether it's a good idea or not.

"Why? What is it? Hora... Tell me. I don't like secrets," Louise demands, still oblivious to her own condition, putting the poor Gandalfr in a harder position to explain.

"O-okay... Just don't get angry, kay?" Saito said which she replied with a simple nod. He then gathers his courage and asked in the most casual way he possibly can.

"L-Louise... Where's your bikini?" Saito pops the question, expecting the worst to come.

"Bikini? What are you..." For a second, Louise thought Saito was making one of his silly jokes, but his serious expression was a telltale sign that he wasn't. He wasn't joking.

At that very moment, Louise felt an unusual chill creeping upon her chest, different from the coldness of the water. Blood began rushing to her cheeks as she slowly glances down. Upon looking, she soon discovers two small mounds hanging from her body with a light pink cherry popping out from both of them. Meanwhile, the fabric that was supposed to cover them was nowhere to be found leaving them exposed for the world to see. Tears welled up in her eyes as her face went bright red with shame.

"Ah... Ah... Kyaaa!" Same as the one before, but with different circumstances, Louise screams out, immediately sinking her body with her arms crossed, protecting her dignity.

"C-calm down! It must have slipped away. I-It should be somewhere around- There!" Spotting her bikini floating nearby, Saito rushes to get it and with the same speed, return to his wife.

"H-here I got it. It's fine. No need to be shy, I mean... We have seen each other naked a thousand times already. It's okay," Saito tried calming her down.

"No... It's not okay," Louise shakes her head. "We're outside. Someone might be looking. I-I don't want them to see me like this. My body... I'll only show them to you. No one else can see me naked."

Hearing her sincere feelings, a smile forms on Saito's lips. This wasn't the first time she said such things, but he was touched all the same by her utmost devotion. Though logically speaking, the Hiraga's family lawn was surrounded by solid walls so if anyone wants to peep, they would have to climb up, but surely Saito or Louise herself would have noticed. Besides, if anyone even dared to sneak a peek on his wife, Saito would have given them a black eye on both eyes and knock the memories of anything they saw out from their minds. As her husband and lover, guarding her dignity was part of his duties after all.

"Don't worry, Louise. No one's around. It's just us. Here, put it back on. I'll cover you," Saito said as he placed himself in front of her, covering her body from view.

Assured by his confidence and warmed by his protective instincts, Louise gradually calms down. She turns her head left and right, making absolutely sure no one was around before coming out of the water, bringing her chest back to view with only her arms left to cover them. Her eyes met Saito, and both found the other smiling, yet blushing from the... odd circumstances they found themselves in, but neither remove their attention from the other.

"Put it on," a voice as low as a whisper escaped Louise's lips as she hangs her head low, embarrassed by her own words.

"Huh?" Saito was dumbfounded, unsure whether he heard her correctly.

"H-Help put it on me..." Louise shyly repeats herself, her eyes avoiding him. "I want to make sure no one sees me. Y-you always take my clothes off s-so... you should at least know how to put this back on."

Unable to believe the words she herself spoke, steam flows out of Louise's head as she blushed furiously in shame. Her husband, on the other hand, was left speechless upon hearing the unexpected request. Though he has to admit, she does have a good point. By this day, he was already a full-fledged expert in undressing her and he wasn't bragging. Be it a shirt, blouse, nightdress, skirt, socks, pants, underwear, towel or any kind of garments, he can easily take it off her even with his eyes closed. Guess all the experience in bed helps to unlock that hidden skill of his. However, dressing her back up? That's...

"Sure, no problem, Saito didn't hesitate." Well, he did help dress her up a few times in the past. Besides, it's only a bikini. How hard could it be?

Showing his willingness to help, Saito held the bikini close, ready to put it on her. Louise struggled with her self consciousness, still deeply blushing to the idea, despite the fact she's the one who suggested it in the first place. Eventually, though, she shifts closer and closer to Saito until the bra was right in front of her chest, separated only by her folded arms.

"D-don't stare too much," Louise muttered as she lowers her guard, revealing once more her assets as a woman.

'No need to worry, I won't,' was what Saito supposed to say as a response, but he couldn't possibly say that as it will be a complete lie. In fact, the exact moment her chest came to sight, his eyes instantly fixate on them. The small, soft pair of breast with the pink, hard nipples accompanying them, how could he possibly not stare at them?

Despite the tremendous allure, Saito gathers his willpower to resist the temptation and focus on the task at hand. Carefully, he aligns the bikini to fit both of her breasts before gently wrapping the cloth around her. Now, all that's left was to tie them up and she will be ready to go. As he was tying the bikini, naturally he should be looking at the strings in the back, but alas he's still a man deep down and the temptation to glance at the piece of heaven was too much for him to handle. Without a word, his eyes slowly peep down and the moment he did, once again the sight of her cute breast was entirely revealed to him. Unfortunately, at the very same time, Louise stared up and immediately noticed the direction his eyes were pointing at.

"Baka... Where are you looking? Y-you pervert! I-I told you not to stare," Louise cried, catching him red-handed.

"You said not to stare too much. I'm only staring a bit," Saito tried weaselling his way out, using her own words against her.

"M-moo... Just do your job properly!" Louise said, hiding her eyes away.

"Hehehe... Sorry," Saito chuckles before returning to his tasks. Teasing his wife always makes his day.

A few twist and turn, a knot or two, and a little fiddling with the strings, the bikini was finally back where it's supposed to, wrapped neatly around Louise's chest. He won't say it out loud, but Saito thinks he's done quite a good job with this.

"There, all done. It won't slip out anymore," Saito told her, proud with his work. For a first time attempt on attaching a bikini, he did quite well.

"T-thank you," Louise muttered, relieved that her dignity was protected and no one sees her other than her husband.

"No, problem. At least I got a nice view," Saito joked.

"Pervert. Even though I told you not to look. How much do you love breast?" Louise pouted, still upset with his earlier actions.

"Nope, you're wrong," Saito attempt to correct her. "I admit I do like breast, but I only love yours. Your breasts are all I ever need. Small, cute and lovely just like my beloved master."

Faced against his bold statement plus his casual, yet serious expression, Louise was left entirely flushed, leaving her face as pink as her hair. He's possibly the only person in the world who could ever say something like that out loud without the slightest sense of shame and cause her heart to throbs uncontrollably. In her chest, the feeling of anger, delight, annoyance and moved was all mixed up that she didn't know how to appropriately react. Should she thank him, or should she get mad at him? She didn't know. In the end, she came up with the most common response she had. The usual tsundere way.

"B-Baka!" Louise splashed him over and over leaving him under her mercy as he cowered for the inexistent cover. However, in that seemingly wave of rage, a shy smile form of her lips along with the shade of blush on her cheeks. As I said, the tsundere way.

"So... Saito, what would you do know? I mean you..." Louise asked after she calmed down, worried of him in case Asuna returns.

"I know," Saito briefly replied as he checked on his own state. He was already drenched when he first fell into the pool but after Louise's relentless attack... Let's just say, he looks like he just comes out from the deepest side of the sea itself.

Now, stuck in a dilemma, Saito was also short in time as Asuna already left for quite a while so she could come out at any moment. He has to choose whether to stay in the pool and face his sister head-on or leave as soon as possible but risking bumping into her on the way to his room. Either way, it's clear as day he already went into the pool and claiming it was an accident won't cut it anymore. Asuna might just use that to make fun of him more. As time ticks away second after second, Saito was forced to come with a decision soon and a decision he did make.

"Guess, I'll stay," Saito said as he took off his wet shirt before throwing it toward the house leaving him only in his shorts. "Better go all the way, right?"

"Hm! Hm! Right! I know you would change you your mind," Louise smiled in delightment as right from the start, she's secretly wished for him to join her. "D-don't worry, if Asuna asked, I'll defend you."

"No need, I can handle her. Before that... There's something else we need to settle..." A grin formed on Saito's lips, but make no mistake, it's not the perverted one. It's a mischievous one.

"Saito what are you... Kyaa! C-cold!" Louise squealed as a huge splash of water hits her by surprise. The perpetrator behind it was none other than her husband.

"You keep splashing me earlier and I didn't do anything, but now... It's payback! Prepare yourself!" With intense speed and strength, Saito splashed the water over and over. His mercy was long gone.

"S-Saito! Stop it! Stop it! Uhh... Fine! You asked for it!" Not intending to simply lay down and die, Louise began her counterattack.

From that point on began the official second war of water in the lawn. Whenever Saito splashed her once, Louise retaliates with two of her own which was then returned by three and she later responds with four. That's how the relentless battle keeps going back and forth with water splashing all over while they're lost in their own world, laughing aloud like children seeking their fill of excitement all the while enjoying themselves to the fullest. Soon enough, the exhaustion caught up to them and with the fear of Yuno's warning in mind, they enter a truce before any unrepairable damage was done and return to their once more relaxed lives.

"Haa... You know what? I don't like to admit it, but Asuna's right. It does felt like heaven here," Saito said, finally finding the calmness he has been missing as he basked under the sun as his sister did a moment ago. If only he knew, perhaps he would have lower his ego and accept Asuna's offer from the start.

"See, I know you'll understand," Louise said in approval, glad to know he was enjoying himself.

"Yeah... But..." Without warning, Saito placed his hand around her waist before pulling her closer to his side. "It's even better cause you're here."

"Moo... Stop saying things like that. You're embarrassing me," Louise shyly muttered, but made no attempt whatsoever to remove herself from him instead enjoying the comfort of his embrace.

"But, it's true... Ehehe...' Saito pulls out his signature grin before resting his head against the walls. "If only Asuna didn't come back, it would have been perfect."

The mention of the older girl brought back Louise's attention to the matter that transpired earlier. There has been an... awkward air between the two siblings and she wasn't happy with it. Yes, the two quarrels a lot, but they usually get along in the end anyway. However, what happened earlier was different and it especially didn't sit well with Louise. As someone who was raised with two older sisters, she was well versed with the matter and the last thing she wants was to see was Saito and Asuna's relationship as siblings fall apart.

"Um... Saito?" Louise called, immediately getting his attention. She was tongue-tied for a second but reaffirmed herself as she spoke. "Are you angry with Asuna?"

"Hm? What do you- Oh, is this about earlier?" Saito asked to which Louise replied with a nod.

Saito folded his arms, not giving her a quick answer as she thought he would, instead of taking the time to ponder on the matter. He asked himself the question, repeating it over and over in his head. Was he really mad at Asuna?

"Nah, not really." Saito eventually answered. "She keeps playing me like that since we're kids, so I kinda get used to her at some point. "

"But... You look so angry. You even raised your voice and- and the way you act. I-I thought you must be really mad at her," Louise questions further, not expecting the answer, but she knows very well what she has seen.

"Well... Umm... That... Okay, maybe I'm a little frustrated," Saito admits, seeing no reason to hide. "You can tell, huh? Guess, I can't hide anything from you."

"Of course not, I'm your wife, remember? I know you all too well," Louise proudly stated. "But... You really not mad at her?"

"No, I'm not. Just lost my patience a bit and I suppose I kinda overreacted, but really, I don't hate her or mad at her or anything," Saito continues denying it.

"I see..." Louise nods, but her eyes are filled with doubt, unsure to believe him or not. She knows he's not lying, but was he really fine with the way things are?

"Look, Louise, don't get this wrong," Saito said, attempting to assure her. "I know Asuna can be quite a handful and she tends to be... Impulsive at times. Honesty, I lost count how many times she purposely causes trouble for me. Still, despite that... She might not show it, but she really cared a lot about other people. I mean, she takes good care of you right?"

"Well, she's so nice to me. She always treated me like I'm really her little sister and I'm happy with that. She's a super nice person, almost as nice as Cattleya," Louise claims, giving her the highest praise she can. "But, that's why I found it strange. If she can care so much about me, why she always... She always...," The word lies on the tip of her tongue, but Louise couldn't bare to say it as she fears it would sound offensive.

"Bully me?" Saito helps, knowing exactly what she was about to say. It's not the first time he heard that of course.

Louise only nods to the question before muttering sorry, fearing Saito would get upset with her for saying something like that.

"Hey, it's fine. Not like it's the first time someone says that to me," Saito explains, not feeling offended in any way. "Even my friends said the same thing."

"They... did?" Louise replied. If it's his own friends Saito was talking about, it certainly means he's referring to the Wild 7, his closest circle of friends. To think that they all thought the same way as she was anything, but relieving. "So... Is it true? Asuna... Bullied you?"

"Hmm... Yes and no," Saito briefly answered. "I mean yes she does play pranks and make fun of me all the time, but that's the same for all siblings. So... I didn't really see it as bullying, besides sometimes I pulled pranks on her too. You can say we're even."

"But... Why sometimes it seems like she didn't care much for you?" Louise went to strike with another hard question, before realising her own insensitivity. "I'm sorry, d-don't get me wrong! I-I don't mean it that way. I-I mean... She treats me well, but the way she treats you... it's different."

"No, you're wrong, Louise. Asuna really cares for me. More than anyone knows. She's annoying and childish at times, but she... She's the best sister I could ever ask for," as he says that, Saito's thought drifts to a past memory. A piece of his childhood which he could never erase from his memories.

"How dare you... You bastards! Don't you dare touch my brother! Only me... I'm the only one in the world who can pick on him! No one else can, definitely not assholes like you! Remember this in that tiny brain of yours... If I ever saw any of you come anywhere close to him again, I'll kill all of you shitty brats! I'll kill all of you!"

Those bold, terrifying words accompanied with curses, that could intimidate even the strongest heart, Saito still remembers it as if Asuna only said it yesterday, but the truth of the matter, it was already 10 years since that day, or was it 11 or is it 12 years? He was a kid back then so like everyone else, it was hard to point at an exact date in his childhood memories, yet the events itself was fresh in mind. That specific day, was the only time in his life when he saw his sister so angry and furious more than she ever was, yet the very same day he learnt how much she truly loves him as a family. Also, it was on that day, she first says 'I love you' to him, but unfortunately it was also the last and if Saito asked her about it, he's 100 percent certain she will deny it entirely. Still, she does love him and... though she constantly annoys him with her childish attitude and day to day pranks, he mutually loves his sister as well.

"I see..." Louise smiled, seemingly satisfied with his sincere answer. Truth be told, she knows despite the infighting, the brother and sister are actually close, but it's nice to hear it from Saito's own mouth.

"But... Y-you know, Louise. Don't ever tell Asuna I said all that, okay? Don't tell her anything. I beg you, don't tell her!" Saito stressed, his face blushing.

"Don't worry, I won't say a word. Promise," Louise said, giggling to his flustered state.

As Louise thought about it, perhaps this is how Asuna felt as well, too embarrassed to admit her feelings to her own brother. Well, at least now Louise knows how much they truly cared about one other, like true siblings they are. If only they can be a little more honest with each other.

"Oh?" Without warning, a voice of surprise came from behind them, taking the couple's attention as they turn to look.

"Oh?" The two replied in the same surprised manner as they find Asuna who has finally returned from her long call, standing in the house with a surprised look. At the same time, Saito also grew restless as without the need to be said, he's the reason for the expression on her face and he knew it.

All of a sudden, everything became like a silent game of chess, each waiting to see what their opponent would do while at the same time preparing for the aftermath. No words were spoken, no actions were taken by any side, each stunned at their place, but alas soon enough someone needs to make a move. The first to react was none other than Asuna herself, shrugging her shoulders without a single word before stepping out into the lawn. Casually she strolls around the pool, adding to the tension as she passed both Saito and Louise without locking eyes with them, eventually stepping at a vacant side of the pool. With all eyes on her, she slowly enters and soaks her body into the water, retreating back to the similar, relaxed posture she had before she left.

The curtain of silence remains as Asuna simply sat there, both arms and legs crossed with her eyes closed, taking in both the heat of the sun and cold of the water or as she called it, enjoying her youth. Saito and Louise, exchange glances, unsure on how to react to this... normal behaviour of hers.

"Ahem, don't mean to be rude, but can you guys please stop staring at me? It's making me uncomfortable," Asuna asked, waking the two from their awkward silence, later turning to Saito. "Why, you think I'm gonna kick you out and say something like you're trespassing or get out of my property?"

"Um... Yes?" Saito admits. In all honesty, he thought she would drag him out as soon as she saw him.

"Jezz... What kind of monster you think I am? I'm not that mean," Asuna claims, slightly insulted that he would think such a thing, though if one has to say, his thoughts were well justified.

"Really? Who was it that keeps telling me not to trespass and make a fool of me about it? Oh, yeah it's you," Saito pouts as his mood turns sour, remembering exactly what she did earlier.

"Wait, you're mad about that?" Asuna asked, caught off guard by his quick change of attitude.

"Whatever, I won't be here long after all. I'll leave in a minute," Saito looks away, retreating back into his upset mode.

After the little heartwarming talk about his relationship with Asuna, one would genuinely think the boy had calm down and put everything in the past. He even claims that he loves Asuna as his sister and go as far as saying he wasn't offended by her in any way, but the reality behind it shows a different story. Deep down seems like he's still a bit upset from what she did moments ago leading to the cloud of awkwardness from before to befall the siblings once more. Seeing the sudden turn of events, Louise was once more thrown into an uncomfortable spot. She wishes to step in, but before she has the chance to, Asuna briefly glanced at her as if trying to tell her not to. Thus, she stayed where she is while hoping for the best.

"Hey, are you sulking? Just because I teased you a bit?" Asuna asked, checking the waters.

"Not talking to you," Saito didn't even glance back as he said his reply. Without a doubt, he was sulking.

Scratching the back of her head, Asuna let's out a big sigh, realising how much of trouble that now lays in front of her. As his sister and someone who lives in the same house as him since he was born, she as the main witness of practically his entire life can say with absolute certainty that it was extremely rare for Saito to sulk or get mad at anyone. However, when he did, it can prove to be somewhat... troublesome a lot like what's happening now.

Usually, whenever this rare occurrence was to happen, Yuno would be the one to console Saito, but this time it was Asuna's fault for upsetting him and she was fully aware of it. Despite all her immaturity, she was an adult and as one, she knew she has to be the one to sort this out on her own without relying on her mother. It's part of her responsibility. She's the older sister after all.

"Saito? My little brother? Hello...? Are you there?" Asuna playfully called him, knowing it would force a response from him.

"What do you want? Do you intend to annoy me again? I told you I'll leave soon. No need to bother me," Saito replied as expected, yet filled with sarcasm sprouted from his sulkiness.

Undeterred by his response, Asuna breaths deeply, fighting against the nerves holding her back, yet her conscience urges her. Can't blame her for being nervous. Just as rarely Saito sulks, doing this was rare to her as well, yet there's no other way around this.

"Look, Saito... I'm sorry," Asuna finally said the words, sincerely seeking his apology.

"That's all? Seriously why did you bother to- Wait? w-what did you say?" Saito asked, believing he has misheard.

"Y-you heard me already! Don't ask me to repeat it," Asuna looks away slightly blushing only to find Louise smiling in amusement. She didn't expect Asuna would ask for an apology, but she hopes this went well, but it all depends on her husband.

"N-no, I... didn't hear it clearly," Saito claims as he was lost in disbelief. "Can you please repeat that, nee-san?"

Growing embarrassed by the second, Asuna gritted her teeth, finally giving up on everything. She couldn't tell whether Saito was being serious or was trying to get payback at her, pretending he didn't hear her the first time. Either way, humiliation be damn. He can laugh at her for all she cares, but enough is enough.

"Jeez! I said I'm sorry alright!" Asuna shouts, unable to handle the pressure. "I'm sorry, okay!? I really didn't mean to offend you earlier. I know I acted like a jerk and honestly, I felt bad about that! I'm sorry for playing with your feelings, I went too far. I don't mind if you want to get in the pool, heck I thought about inviting you in right from the start, but you're just too stubborn! Right now, I'm sorry! I'm so, so sorry! I'm a jerk! There you go! Happy now!?"

At the end of her outburst, all that's left was a long silence and a crimson faced Asuna, a sight both Saito and Louise has only seen for the first time. Despite her boldness and 24/7 cheerful optimism, Asuna was also capable of feeling ashamed and the blush on her cheeks done more than prove it. Facing this... side of his sister, Saito was left speechless, not knowing how to react, but if what she said was true and she really meant to apologize, why would he deny her?

"Ne, Saito. Please... forgive her," Louise whispered as she got close to him, seeing it as the best opportunity for them to make up.

Nodding in understanding was all Saito could do as he laid eyes upon his sister who was now hiding her face behind a ball which ironically the same one Louise use earlier. If he has to admit, it was quite a sensation to see his sister in this unusual state and if he had a camera in hand, he would have taken a dozen photos already as potential blackmail material, but of course, he's not that sort of a jerk. Especially when she was sincerely asking for forgiveness. Against such sincerity, there can only be one possible reply.

"I'm... Sorry too...," Saito said, looking straight at his sister. "Guess I'm taking it too hard... I shouldn't have acted like that. Sorry, nee-san."

"Y-yeah... Same here, brother. I'm sorry too for always making you pissed. Um... So... we're good?" Asuna stretches her hand, hoping for a mutual handshake.

"Well... We're good," Saito reaches for her hand, replying in kind.

Closening their gap for a shake of truce, their hands reach for the other, hoping to put an end to any further hostility. However, at the last minute, before their hand's touch, Asuna makes an unexpected, spontaneous move. Instead of shaking his hand, she naturally places her hand on top of his head, a move that caught him off guard.

"There, there, I know you'll forgive me. That's a good boy," Asuna gently rubs his head as if petting a dog. In a way, maybe she is.

"H-hey! Stop rubbing my head like that! I'm not a kid!" Saito tried to resist, but he's powerless to escape.

"Oh, come on! No need to act tough, you know you like this," Asuna said, all reverted back to her normal, cheery self. "Besides, I think this suits us better, don't you think? Dumb brother?"

"Haa... I can't believe you..." Saito sighs, realising that his sister was back, yet at the same time, a smile found itself on his face. "Tomboy sister."

Both of them look forward to the others face, grinning sheepishly at each other before bursting out in laughter as the memories of their little quarrel slowly slips away from their mind, left to be forgotten in time while the good memories filled the spot. Thinking back, what exactly were they fighting for in the first place? Not that it matters anymore because, in the end, the bond of siblings proves to be unbreakable.

From the side, a smile was visible on the young pinkete lips, glad that the sibling was able to sort things out without further complications which were more than she could ever hope. Suppose what Saito said earlier was true. They do care about each other, more than anyone knows and Louise felt blessed for being one of the people with the knowledge of the strength of their bond.

"Moo... You two. Don't fight like that anymore. You have me worried," Louise said, unable to contain her relief.

"Oh, sorry, sorry. Didn't mean to get you involved too little sis," said Asuna. "If only someone didn't become too stubborn, neither of us would have to go through the trouble."

"Hey, are you trying to blame me on that? You're the one who-"

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever, it's all in the past, forget about it, let's move on. It's time to play," Asuna cuts him off which annoys him a bit, but by this point, Saito didn't even have the energy to get angry again.

"Play?" Louise echoes Asuna, later noticing the mischievous, yet playful expression on her face.

"Yup, play! Since we're in the pool, it's time to play a new game I invented. Pool Shiritori!" Asuna grabs the ball from earlier holding it close to her chest. "We'll go with country names! I'll go first, China! Saito, go!"

With next to no warning, the ball changes hand as Asuna swiftly passes it over to Saito who despite the surprise was able to react fast enough to neatly catch the ball. His well-trained reflexes deserve the thanks for the feat, but his mind was nowhere quick enough in grasping the situation.

"Eh? Ehhh? Shiritori? All of a sudden? Seriously?" Saito was at a lost as everything was going too fast for him.

"5... 4... 3..."

"Wait! Y-you're already counting!? At least let me- AHH! A... A... America! Louise, your turn!"

Panicking, Saito pass over the ball into his wife's hands, making her next person in line continue the chain. However, instead of coming up with a word as she's supposed to do following the rules of the game, she blankly stared back at both of them, furiously blinking her eyes in confusion.

"Umm... Sorry, but what's shiritori?" Louise innocently asked, not having the slightest idea of the unfamiliar word. If this was an anime, countless question marks would have popped around her head, indicating her cluelessness.

An awkward moment pass with the singing of cicadas once again accompanied them as Saito and Asuna shared a glance, realising one thing which was pretty obvious, to say the least. Louise has no idea what shiritori is.

"Seriously? Let me guess, you never play shiritori with her?" Asuna asked, seeking an explanation.

"No, I didn't get an opportunity to," Saito admits. "Before you say anything, you're to blame too. Country names? How in the world she's supposed to know? And what's with the name? Pool shiritori?"

"We're in a pool and we're playing shiritori so pool shiritori. It makes sense!" Asuna justified herself. "Forget that, now we have a bigger problem. Louise!"

"Y-yes?" Louise answered as her name was called.

"Get ready! We are giving you a crash course on shiritori. It's a vital cultural heritage of Japan passed from generation to generation since the founding of the nation by our forefathers. A secret kept hidden by the Japanese that was sought after by all of mankind which has lead to countless wars and destruction of many powerful clans in the past. As the Hiraga's family sole daughter-in-law and my cute little sister, you're obliged to learn it and thus, I as your amazing sister will pass down this ancient knowledge to you. Ready yourself!" Asuna passionately declared. Exaggerating what was supposed to be a simple game into some kind of legendary treasure, but the only epic thing present here was the ridiculousness behind her words.

"Oi... Oi! Since the founding of the nation? What the hell are you talking about? Louise don't even listen to-" Saito turns to his wife, but it was too late as her eyes already sparkled with curiosity.

"T-that amazing...? A secret like that and you're sharing with me? I-I'm ready! I want to know!" Louise replied with enthusiasm, completely intrigued by this false story. A good example of how innocence and too much trust can lead to destruction.

Literally facepalming himself, Saito shook his head, unsure to what this will potentially lead to, especially how much correction he needs to make later. With Louise already captivated and Asuna eager to begin her story, saying anything at this moment would only fall on deaf ears. All he could do now was hope that Asuna didn't mislead her too much. When they're done, there was no doubt in his mind that they're going to play the so-called pool shiritori again. For the time being though, he's going to lay back and enjoy the pool, for as long as it lasts. While at it, maybe he'll go and get another glass of juice. Like Asuna said, enjoy the youth.
