Pearl awoke on a beautiful day in Beach City. She got up, showered, dressed then sat down to eat with her friends. It had been one day since the statue of Pink Diamond was unveiled. However, it was also something more important. It was one day closer to graduating.

"It seems like only yesterday we moved in here." said Amethyst.

"Soon we'll be going our separate ways." added Pearl, with a fake smile.

"We'll still keep in touch." said Garnet.

"People always say that and it never happens." thought Pearl.

Suddenly, Amethyst cleared her throat.

"I have a major announcement." said Amethyst.

All eyes fell on Amethyst.

"I've decided not to become a pro wrestler." revealed Amethyst.

"But, you love wrestling." noted Garnet.

"And you're so good!" declared Pearl.

"Thanks but, as much as I love it, I've realized it's not my true calling." said Amethyst.

"What is?" asked Garnet.

"I've been taking courses to become a counselor." answered Amethyst.

"I did not expect that." admitted Pearl.

"I've found out I really like helping people more than wrestling." shrugged Amethyst.

Amethyst rubbed her chin.

"Though, I could still wrestle on weekends." mused Amethyst.

"I also want to announce that I am meeting with record labels in the next few days." revealed Garnet.

"That's incredible." said Pearl stunned.

"Which ones?" asked Amethyst excited.

"Est. 1980 Records, Warner Music, the Atlantic Recording Company, BMG, Whoa Dad! and VP Records." answered Garnet.

"Congrats!" cried Amethyst.

"Thanks." replied Garnet.

"Hey Pearl, how's life working with Anastasia?" asked Amethyst.

"I'm only her assistant." said Peal.

"I've heard you're a real good one." noted Garnet.

"Well I'm flattered." said Pearl blushing.

"How long until you hit the stage as a premier ballerina?" asked Amethyst.

"I'm still looking for my big break." answered Pearl.

"I know you'll get it." said Garnet.

"Yeah. Keep your head up." agreed Amethyst.

"Look at Peridot and Lapis. Peridot is getting her computer design business going and Lapis becoming a pro swimmer." said Amethyst.

"Not to mention Bismuth starting her blacksmith business." added Garnet.

"I heard Lapis might even go Olympic." noted Amethyst excited.

"Maybe she can help you if you find yourself dealing with someone in a toxic romance." mused Garnet.

Amethyst rubbed her chin.

"Not a bad idea." said Amethyst.

"Everyone is moving on." thought Pearl.

"Hey Pearl, you gonna finishing eating?" asked Amethyst.

"Actually, I'm quiet full." answered Pearl.

Pearl passed her food to Amethyst who wolfed it down.

"That hits the spot." said Amethyst.

The trio soon got ready to leave.

"I'm gonna be home late. Gotta due some studying." said Amethyst.

"I need to get ready for my meetings so I will be late too." noted Garnet.

"Yeah. I've got work so I'll be late." said Pearl.

"How is working for Mayor Nanefua?" asked Amethyst.

"She is an incredible mayor so there's less work me." answered Pearl.

The trio headed outside to get into their cars when Pearl shivered.

"You okay?" asked Amethyst.

"I got this weird feeling like someone is watching us." answered Pearl uneasy.

The three didn't see anyone and shrugged it off. They chalked this up to the previous times they had been stalked. Amethyst even joked about it. The three went to school and things where fine. However, Pearl just could not concentrate. Luckily, her teacher did not notice. However, Anastasia did. She couldn't ignore it with how spaced out Pearl was. Once class finished, Anastasia sat Pearl down.

"What is wrong?" asked Anastasia bluntly.

"Nothing." answered Pearl.

"Do not tell lies.' demanded Anastasia.

"I am okay. Really." replied Pearl.

"I know you and I can tell something is wrong." stated Anastasia firmly.

Pearl could feel barrier breaking.

"Please, I want to help." said Anastasia.

Pearl caved.

"We're going to graduate soon." said Pearl.

"That should be a joyous occasion." noted Anastasia.

"I feel like my friends and I will drift apart." confessed Pearl.

"Oh. I see." replied Anastasia.

"Amethyst is becoming a counselor." said Pearl.

"Good for her." said Anastasia.

"Garnet has a bunch of record labels wanting to sign her, Lapis and Peridot are both living their dreams. Bismuth too. They're headed in their own direction." continued Pearl.

"You're worried about losing touch.." mused Anastasia.

"I feel like we're going to drift away." said Pearl.

Anastasia put her hands on Pearl's shoulders.

"If they are true friends, and I know they are, you'll never have to worry about that." said Anastasia.

Pearl smiled warmly.

"Thanks." replied Pearl grateful.

Anastasia stepped back letting Pearl get up.

"Feel better?" asked Anastasia.

"Yes. Thank you." answered Pearl.

"No problem." replied Anastasia.

Pearl left and headed to work. Work was mostly boring, but it allowed Pearl to finish any assignments she needed. Finally, worked came to an end and she headed home. She arrived and was surprised when she found Garnet and Amethyst outside. Pearl got out of her car and parked. it. This is when realized the door was slightly ajar. Pearl felt a pit in her stomach.

"It happened again." said Pearl flatly.

"I was hoping it was you." admitted Amethyst.

"Why does this keep happening?" asked Pearl tired.

"I don't know." said Garnet.

"Maybe Satan just likes screwing with us." said Pearl.

"Did the Rolling Stones have a song about not blaming the devil for shit?" asked Amethyst.

"I'm not serious." noted Pearl.

"Yeah. I know." shrugged Amethyst.

Garnet cleared her throat.

"Whatever the reason, it seems someone else has issues with us." said Garnet.

"We fixed out problems with the Diamonds so who could have it out for us?" asked Amethyst.

"I don't know for exactly that reason." confessed Garnet.

"Jasper." said Pearl horrified.

"It's not her." stated Amethyst.

"Right. She's locked up." noted Garnet.

"Actually...she got out a few weeks ago." revealed Amethyst.

"What?!" asked Pearl horrified.

"She got an early release for good behavior." answered Amethyst.

"Why didn't you tell us?" asked Garnet angrily.

"I knew you'd freak, but I've checking up with her and working at her construction job." explained Amethyst.

Garnet pulled out her cellphone.

"I'm calling the cops." said Garnet.

Pearl took a deep breath and began walking up the stairs.

"Where are you going?" asked Garnet worried.

"Wait!" cried Amethyst.

Pearl got to the top of the stairs and reached the door when her friends caught her.

"What the hell are you doing?" asked Amethyst.

"I am sick of being a victim." answered Pearl.

Pearl pointed to her home.

"I'm ready for whatever will face me!" declared Pearl.

Pearl stormed in with Garnet and Amethyst.

"About time." said a sinister voice.

A white woman with pink hair was sitting on the couch with her hands clasped and her head lowered.

"I was wondering if you where going to stay outside all day." added the intruder.

The intruder stood up and Pearl froze.

"It...can't be." whispered Pearl horrified.

"So you remember me." said the intruder.

"Who is this?" asked Amethyst.

"Ashley Spinel...at your service.

Spinel bowed.

"I've got a new look." began Spinel.

Spinel did a spin. She was wearing a black t - shirt, blue jeans and combat boots.

"I got a new hairdo." continued Spinel.

Spinel reached behind her back.

"And a new toy." concluded Spinel.

Spinel pulled a Colt Cobra revolver out and aimed it at the trio.

"Again." groaned Amethyst.

"So you've been here before." mused Spinel.

"It's a long story." said Garnet.

"Pearl has been at gunpoint twice. First was that Emerald who nearly shot her." noted Amethyst.

Spinel let out a twisted laugh.

"We can't have that. Pearl is mine." said Spinel.

"What's your deal anyway?" asked Amethyst.

Spinel aimed her gun at Pearl.

"Watch where you're aiming!" screamed Amethyst.

"If you want to know my "deal" then you should ask her." answered Spinel coldly.

Garnet and Amethyst turned to Pearl.

"Spinel was a friend of Pink Diamond." began Pearl.

"Best friend!" declared Spinel.

Pearl winced at the force in her tone, but continued.

"They hung out together all the time. Then, she stopped appearing." answered Pearl.

Spinel growled.

"No! No! No!" declared Spinel.

Spinel waved the gun wildly around.

"This could be an opening." thought Pearl.

Pearl began to move, but Spinel quickly spotted her.

"Freeze!' exclaimed Spinel.

Spinel aimed her gun right at Pearl.

"Don't get any funny ideas." said Spinel angrily.

"I think this chick is psycho." whispered Amethyst.

"I heard that!" declared Spinel.

"Amethyst, maybe you shouldn't upset the person with a gun." said Garnet.

"That's good advice." said Spinel coldly.

Spinel turned her attention back to Pearl.

"And I won't let you get away with your lies!" declared Spinel.

"I'm not lying." said Pearl confused.

Spinel growled.

"If you can't be honest then zip it." spat Spinel.

Pearl was going to protest, but thought better.

Spinel smirked.

"Since I can't trust you not to move, on your knees." demanded Spinel.

Without another choice, the three got onto their knees.

'Much better." cackled Spinel.

"You don't have to do this." said Pearl.

Spinel angrily tightened her grip on the handle.

"Quiet it!" demanded Spinel.

Spinel took a moment.

"Now then..." began Spinel.

"What are you going to do?" asked Garnet.

Spinel laughed wildly.

"Wouldn't you like to know." answered Spinel.

"No shit. She just asked." mumbled Amethyst.

Spinel aimed her revolver right at Amethyst.

"You want to repeat that?" asked Spinel threateningly.

Amethyst gulped.

"No." answered Amethyst meekly.

"I thought so." said Spinel disgusted.

Spinel smirked grimly.

"Now then, we'll gonna play a game." said Spinel.

A/N: That's where we'll end this chapter. The record labels Garnet mentioned are the ones Estelle is signed with. A cookie to anyone who gets the reference with Spinel's name. Next time, we continue onward. Please review.
