The family slowly got used to not having war circulating them, and it benefited everyone to have the boys home. After talking about it for a while, Emma and Ben decided against moving, at least for the moment. Erin's wedding loomed closer and closer, and soon it was December, and a week til the wedding.

"I'm so nervous." Erin muttered as her sisters, Olivia and Grandma helped her with her hair and dress. The twenty three year old was as white as a sheet. "I watched two of my sisters get married and now I'm the one who's walking down the aisle."

"You look so gorgeous, Erin Esther." Olivia dabbed at her eyes. Erin reached up and hugged her tight.

Emma took a deep breath, and looked away before she burst into tears. Elizabeth and Serena were standing, faces soloumn, knowing that they were losing a sister. Emma walked over and wrapped them both in a hug just as Mary Ellen burst in.

"It's time!"

After the wedding, the guests gathered for the reception at the house. Erin had finally gained some colour in her cheeks, and she held Paul's hand as she laughed and talked. Emma knew that she could trust him to look after her sister.

"When should we expect another grandchild?" Corabeth cornered Emma and Ben while she sipped at some sweet tea.

Emma blushed. "Oh, not at the moment. We are far too busy with our two little ones."

Ben tried to change the subject. "Have you heard from Aimee lately, Corabeth?" As they started to talk in detail, Emma slipped away to the shed to check on Ginny and Charlie, who were sleeping.

A soft smile came to her face as she thought about the war ending, the boys returning home, and her family coming back together. The sunlight streamed through the windows, and it seemed to perfectly reflect her happy mood.
