A/N: Hello everyone, I am back with chapter 112 of this story. Here, Pearl meets a new face and has a meeting with an old one.

Disclaimer: I don't own Steven Universe

It was a beautiful morning in Beach City. Pearl dragged her out of bed and forced herself to face the day. She showered, changed clothes and sat down to eat breakfast. garnet and Amethyst where already eating.

"Morning P." said Amethyst.

"Good morning." added Garnet.

"Sorry, but no time to talk." said Pearl.

Pearl threw a piece of bread into the toaster.

"What's your rush?" asked Amethyst.

"I overslept." answered Pearl.

"I could hear your alarm clock going. I should have gotten you." said Garnet.

Pearl made herself coffee in her travel mug

"No it's fine." said Pearl.

The toast popped up and Pearl grabbed it.

"Ah! Hot!" cried Pearl.

Pearl took a bite out of the toast.

"Why are you in such a rush?" asked Amethyst.

Pearl swallowed her bite.

"I was going to met with Anastasia and go over our upcoming lessons." answered Pearl.

"If only we had some sort of time travel device." joked Amethyst.

An idea hit Amethyst.

"I'd form a band with my past selves called Amethyst and the Amethysts!" declared Amethyst.

Pearl noticed the time.

"I've got go!" cried Pearl.

Pearl raced to her room to grab what she needed and went out the door.

"Wait for it." said Garnet.

Pearl quickly ran back in to grab her coffee.

"I'm going to need this." stated Pearl.

Pearl raced off and reached school. However, Anastasia was unable to make it in meaning Pearl wasn't late. However, it also meant Pearl was annoyed that her rush to get out of the house for for nothing. Pearl went to her classes then hung out. As she did, Pearl noticed another girl wandering around. She was big with pink hair and tattoos visible. Figuring she was lost, Pearl decided to help.

'Hi." began Pearl.

The woman nearly jumped.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" cried Pearl.

The woman let out a chuckle.

"You just surprised me is all." stated the woman.

"My name is Pearl Byrd." said Pearl.

"I'm Cherry. Cherry Quartz." replied Cherry.

The two shook hands.

"You seemed a bit lost." noted Pearl.

"I'm new and still trying to find my way around her." explained Cherry.

"Have you toured the campus?" asked Pearl.

"A bit, but I don't remember much." answered Cherry.

Cherry scratched her cheek.

"Actually, I'd really like to tour Beach City." noted Cherry.

"Shall we?" asked Pearl.

"That'd be great." answered Cherry.

The two left the campus and began to tour Beach City.

"That's Fish Stew Pizza and right next to is Boardwalk Fries I don't like oily or greasy foods, but what I have tried is good." said Pearl.

"That'll be helpful for long nights studying." mused Cherry.

Pearl pointed in the direction of screaming.

"That's Funland. I'm not big into amusement parks myself, but there's plenty to do." said Pearl.

"That could be fun to blow off steam." said Cherry.

"This is the Big Donut. Their doughnuts are good." said Pearl.

The door opened and a man stepped out.

"Hiya Pearl!" exclaimed the man.

"This is Mr. Dewey. He's the former mayor." said Pearl.

"You used to work for the mayor?" asked Cherry stunned.

"I still do." answered Pearl.

"Nanefua is doing a great job." said Dewey.

"So, how's the doughnut world treating you?" asked Pearl.

"It's wonderful." answered Dewey joyously.

"Glad to hear it." replied Pearl.

"After being mayor, this is much less stressful." said Dewey.

Dewey snapped his finger.

"Once second." said Dewey.

The former mayor ran inside and came back out with a doughnut in each hand.

"I just pulled these jelly filled out. On the house." said Dewey.

"Thanks." said Cherry.

"This is so kind of you." said Pearl.

Pearl and Cherry began eating while Dewey blushed at the compliment from Pearl.

"These are delicious." said Pearl.

Dewey felt his face going flush.

"It's nothing." said Dewey.

The two finished eating.

"Thanks for the doughnuts." said Cherry.

"It was nothing." replied Dewey.

Dewey turned and looked at The Big Donut.

"I'll admit I was afraid when I resigned as mayor. I didn't know what to do. Then the kids that worked here quit and I jumped onto the opportunity." began Dewey.

"Why'd the quit?" asked Cherry.

"The boy "needed to find himself" and the girl started a band." answered Dewey.

"His son is a member." whispered Pearl.

"But, I faced my fear and I'm glad I did!" declared Dewey.

Pearl and Cherry talked a bit more before returning to campus. Cherry left and headed off to her next class assuring Pearl she knew where it was. Pearl left the campus, got into her car and plugged coordinates into her GPS. She arrived at a sleazy motel and inquired about the room she needed to find. After getting it, Pearl knocked and anxiously waited. Finally, Jasper opened the door. Jasper had two piercing on her forehead and, like Cherry, had several new tattoos. In her right hand was a bottle of Thunderbird whiskey.

"What the fuck do you want?" asked Jasper angrily.

"I just want to talk." answered Pearl.

"I don't wanna." replied Jasper.

Jasper tried to shut the door, but Pearl blocked it with her foot.

"I won't go away that easy." said Pearl.

Jasper flung the door open.

"I have nothing to say to you!" spat Jasper.

"Well, I do have something to say to you." said Pearl.

Jasper angrily grumbled under her breath.

"Make it quick." said Jasper.

"I was hoping to do this more privately." noted Pearl.

Jasper let Pearl it.

"Oh Jasper." said Pearl hurt.

The paint job was poor, the outdated yellowish wallpaper was peeling and brown carpet grungy. It was truly a roach motel.

"Most of the people here are shooting up smack or banging a hooker." shrugged Jasper.

"Then why are you here?" asked Pearl.

"It's the only place I can afford." answered Jasper irritated.

"Well...how are you?" asked Pearl.

"How do you think?" asked Jasper angrily.

"How is your job?" asked Pearl sheepish.

"Fine. I like working with my hands." answered Jasper.

"That's good." replied Pearl.

"No thanks to you." stated Jasper.

Jasper took a swig of whiskey.

"My cousin helped me." continued Jasper.

"Amethyst sure is great." stated Pearl.

"Unlike some people." huffed Jasper.

Pearl gulped worried.

"How are Lazuli and the runt?" asked Jasper.

"They're doing real good." answered Pearl.

Jasper snarled.

"Of course they are." said Jasper disgusted.

"I know you still miss Lapis..." began Pearl.

Jasper laughed.

"I don't need her. I don't need anybody." said Jasper.

Jasper took a swig of her whiskey.

"One piece of advice, never trust anybody." said Jasper.

"I don't think that's a good way to live." replied Pearl.

"Of course you wouldn't." said Jasper angrily.

Jasper took another swig of her whiskey.

"You ruined my life." said Jasper coldly.

Pearl winced, but remained calm.

"I didn't do anything." said Pearl.

"You kept butting in." noted Jasper.

"I had to. You where in a toxic relationship." said Pearl.

"And you had to be the white knight coming in to save the day." spat Jasper.

"I only did what I felt was right." said Pearl.

Jasper took another swig of whiskey.

"So high and mighty." scoffed Jasper.

"I'm not!" protested Pearl.

Jasper shook her head.

"You need to own up to your bad decisions. That's why you're here." said Pearl.

Jasper gave Pearl a glare of hatred.

"I never asked for you to but in and ruin my life so get of your high horse!" spat Jasper.

"I won't take it back." said Pearl defiantly.

Jasper sneered.

"Are you going to graduate soon?" asked Jasper.

"I don't feel comfortable answering that." answered Pearl.

Jasper took a swig of whiskey.

"Tell me." demanded Jasper.

"I can't." replied Pearl.

"I'm not going to show up." said Jasper.

Pearl remained silent.

"I assume you are." said Jasper.

Jasper stood right in front of Pearl.

"And I should be there too...instead I'm stuck in this shit hole drinking this crap whiskey because I can't afford Jack Daniel's!" exclaimed Jasper.

"I'm on good terms with the Dean now..." began Pearl.

"I saw the statue unveiling on TV." noted Jasper.

"Anyway, I might be able to talk her into giving you another shot." offered Pearl.

"With my arrest and scandal...there's no point." said Jasper.

"You can't give up." said Pearl.

Jasper threw the whiskey bottle at the wall causing it to shatter on impact.

"You're lucky that wasn't your head." said Jasper.

"Look..." began Pearl.

Before she could continue, Jasper grabbed Pearl by the shirt.

"No, you look. I had a good thing and you ruined it. Now you come by giving me your piety like I'm some charity case. I am Jasper and I don't need anyone." said Jasper coldly.

Jasper tossed Pearl down.

"Now get the fuck out of here and never come back!" demanded Jasper.

Pearl got back up.

"Goodbye." said Pearl softly.

Pearl left the apartment, got into her car and headed home. She arrived in time for dinner where Amethyst recalled meeting Cherry Quartz who mentioned Pearl by name. Pearl confirmed she knew Cherry, but was clearly down. Pearl didn't hide anything tell Amethyst and Garnet about meeting with Jasper. After the initial horror that Pearl would do this, they saw how much Jasper's rejection hurt.

"I just wanted to start over." moaned Pearl.

"It's not that easy." noted Garnet.

"Especially with Jasper." said Amethyst.

"After what happened with the Diamonds and Spinel. I thought I could reach her." continued Pearl.

"Some people can't be helped." shrugged Garnet.

"Jasper is still a pain in the ass. She might come around or she might not." began Amethyst.

"Not helping." noted Pearl annoyed.

"You can't beat yourself up." concluded Amethyst.

"I guess you're right." sighed Pearl.

"Feeling better?" asked Garnet.

"Yeah." answered Pearl.

Pearl finished eating and went to her room.

"I couldn't help Jasper and needed help overcoming my funk. God knows what I'll do we they're gone." said Pearl sadly.

A/N: That's where we'll end things. The tattoos are the corruption splotches and Jasper's piercings are her horns. So, we're in the home stretch now. Next time, we'll be putting a few episodes together. Please review.
