A/N: Sorry for the long time between updates. Life has been absolutely throwing me one shit storm after another, and I really haven't had the time or desire to sit down and write until today. Hopefully everyone is staying at home and taking care of themselves during this crazy time. I keep telling myself that the quarantine is a good thing, because I will have much more time to write. So hopefully starting now I can make that happen. I think I said awhile ago that my goal was to finish the first season of Victoriously Jade by the start of summer. As of right now, that is still my plan, so hopefully I can manage to make it happen.

I would like to send a huge shout out to everyone who reads, favorites, follows, sends private messages, and reviews this crazy story of mine. It's been a LONG work in progress, (FIVE years I think?) and I'm amazed daily that people enjoy my writing. So thank you for sticking with me, and constantly motivating me to write more.

Enjoy?

Freak the Freak Out

Part One

"Jadey! You're finally back!" Cat runs up to me as soon as I step foot into the Blackbox Theater. She starts to throw her arms around me.

"No!" I yell at her, and she freezes, her eyes going wide and her arms stretched out in midair.

"Jade you don't have to be so mean. Cat was only trying to-" Vega starts to say, but I interrupt her.

"Why isn't there anything wrong with your face?" I interrupt after spinning around to look at her.

"Um, what do you mean?" Vega asks, as both of her hands come up and start touching her face in concern.

"I heard Cat gave you a swollen nose and black eyes," I told her, looking back at Cat for confirmation. Cat nods and I examine Vega's face carefully. "You look all," I gesture wildly to her face, "normal now," I say in disappointment.

"Is there anyone in this school who doesn't know you punched me in the nose?" Vega whines to Cat.

"You told me to!" Cat squeals.

"No- I said if I was you I would just punch me in the nose," Vega tries to correct her.

"Same thing!" Cat says.

"Sounds to me like you were asking for it," I agree with a smirk. "I just can't believe I missed witnessing the damage."

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm a fast healer," Vega replies.

"Cat and Andre, you two are going next," Sikowitz calls out, and Cat scampers off to collect the props she needs for her scene.

I turn my back on Vega and walk over to Beck and fling myself down in the seat beside him.

"Why are you in such a bad mood today?" Beck whispers to me, as Cat and Andre begin to set up for the long scene they are going to perform for Sikowitz.

"It's not fair," I grumble, crossing my arms.

"What's not fair?" Beck asks, perplexed. "Are you upset that Sikowitz didn't pick us yet to do our scene together? You've been out sick all week. I'm sure that we won't be performing it until Monday."

I roll my eyes. "That's another thing that's not fair," I grumble. "How come all of you guys recovered so quickly from the damn pukka fish poisoning? Everyone else was only sick for a couple days. I was sick for over a week! How is that fair?" I complain, annoyed. "Stupid shit immune system."

"That's why you're upset?" Beck asks. "Cause our immune systems are better than yours?" he says, trying to hide a grin.

"No," I tell him. "I'm pissed because of that," I say, pointing at Tori. "I missed seeing Vega walking around with a swollen nose and black eyes," I admit. "And you refused to take a picture of it for me."

"That would be because youtold me you wanted to see it in person," he says, throwing my own words back at me.

"I was delirious with a fever. You should know better than to listen to me when I'm like that," I tell him.

Sikowitz claps his hands and then Andre and Cat begin their scene. Halfway through their intense scene a sudden ringing breaks the silence, causing everyone (including Cat and Andre) to jump. Thankfully, Cat didn't jump into the tweezers that were right near her eyeball! Whoever's phone that rang is going to be in a world of trouble.

"And the ringing is back!" Sikowitz says, flapping his hands near his ears.

"Hey Sikowitz! Sikowitz!" I yell, along with half the other kids in the class, attempting to gain his attention.

"That was a phone," Robbie tells him, once he sees Sikowitz calm down.

Sikowitz crosses his arms. "Whose?" he asks, drawing out the words.

"Mines," Vega answers, mimicking our teacher.

"Tori!" Sikowitz begins to lecture. I can't help but smile. Finally, Vega is going to get busted for something- and I'm finally here to witness it.

"I swear I thought I had it on vibrate!" she says.

"Class is no place for swearing or vibrating," Sikowitz says.

"We can only do that in my RV," Beck whispers to me, and I hit his arm while trying to hide a smirk. I anxiously await Sikowitz to lay into Vega, or at the very least to take her phone away, but instead he just stays silent.

"Maybe we should start the scene over," Andre says, staying in character.

"Can we?" Cat asks, sitting up.

"No Cat, it's too late. By now that spider would've bitten your characters eyeball and you'd be dying a slow, spastic, painful death," he says, walking up to them and handing them their props from the floor.

"Thanks a lot Tori," Cat says, taking the first aid kit from our teacher's outstretched hands.

"Well, we have about," Sikowitz looks at his non-existent watch, and I can't help but smile. "Four minutes left. Why don't we all chat about our weekend plans? Robbie, I assume you have none?" I pull out my phone to check the clock and notice that Sikowitz was right, we do only have four minutes until the bell rings.

"I don't," Robbie admits, after a minute.

"Rex?" our teacher asks, and I wonder why he even bothers to address Robbie and his stupid doll separately.

"I'm going to par-tay with a couple of girls from Northridge," Rex says, and I can't help but raise an eyebrow. Why wouldn't Robbie just admit himself that he was hanging out with a couple of girls? I mean, yeah, we all know Northridge girls have a bit of a reputation, but it's Robbie. I would think that he would be bragging about hanging out with a couple of girls, no matter where they are from.

"Northridge girls," Sikowitz laughs, "that should be an adventure."

Oh ew. For some reason the fact that Sikowitz knows about their slutty reputation makes me totally grossed out.

"Hey, guess what Jade and I are doing tonight? There's this new place in Los Felis, it's called Karaoke Dokie, and they have singing competitions on the weekends. So Jade and I are gonna do a song," Cat says.

"I'm picking the song!" I butt in. I don't want anyone thinking I'd be singing anything from the Waggafluffles or some other idiotic song that Cat might randomly pick.

"Jade's picking the song!" Cat agrees with me cheerfully.

While I was sick most of the week I was busy going through a bunch of songs that Cat and I have done duets with over the years. And while I would love to perform "Take Me Or Leave Me" from Rent, because we both kick ass at that song, not many people know it unless they are into musical theater. So I decided on "Give It Up" because even though it's a pop song, it still is challenging. Not to mention the fact that we perform it brilliantly together.

"Can Rex and I come sing too?" Robbie asks.

"Sure," Cat answers happily.

Robbie begins to argue with Rex about the Northridge girls, and I tune out until I hear Vega start to complain.

"Awww, I wish I could go to Karaoke Dokie," she whines.

"Why can't you?" Beck asks.

"Who cares why she can't," I tell him.

"I was just wondering why she-"

"What? You need Tori around to have a good time? Is that your point?" I ask him, freaking out a bit. After all, I've been sick for over a week, and it's my first day back at school. Who the hell knows what went on while I was recovering from the damn pukka fish poisoning. I'm just guessing that Vega found lots of little ways to get closer to Beck while I was gone.

"Dude," Beck says.

"What?" I screech at him.

"Jade!" Sikowitz yells to get my attention and I turn to him. "You're lucky to have Beck. Don't be such a gank."

I can NOT believe that my own teacher just called me a gank! What the fuck? I sit there in stunned silence for a minute.

Vega explains that she is going to have to take care of Trina (who is getting her wisdom teeth out) all weekend while her parents are going to be in Santa Barbara.

"What for?" Andre asks.

"So they don't have to take care of Trina," Vega answers.

"You can't blame them," Beck says.

"Sucks to be you," I agree gleefully.

"Gank!" Vega calls me, and I narrow my eyes at her.

The bell rings, and Sikowitz freaks out next to me. "Now who's phone is that?" he asks, pointing at several of us.

"That's the bell," Andre says.

"Oh. Bye!" Sikowitz says, spinning around and practically running out of the Blackbox Theater.

"What's his rush?" Andre asks, grabbing his backpack.

"Maybe he drank too much coconut milk," Beck says.

"Or maybe he was having a craving for one of his special brownies," I say with a smirk. "Too bad he refuses to share."

"Yeah, maybe he should share one with you," Vega says, surprising me. "Maybe it would mellow you out."

"You wanna see me act like a gank?!" I ask her, and begin to walk towards her. She squeaks and hides behind Andre.

"Jade, just leave her alone," Beck says, taking ahold of my hand.

I wrench my hand free from his grasp. "And why should I listen to you?" I ask him, narrowing my eyes. "So far today two people have called me a gank, and you've just sat by and let them!" I yell at him, not realizing how much I was bothered by that fact until I said it out loud. "If you don't say anything when they say it to my face, what the hell are you like when people say shit about me behind my back?" I ask him. "I bet everyone had a field day over this past week while I was sick," I say, stepping away from Beck.

"Jade, come on-" Beck starts to say, but I cut him off.

"I don't want to hear it Beck," I tell him, and turn around.

"Come on Cat," I say, and she walks up to me, looking between Beck and I with wide eyes. "Let's go talk about what song we are going to sing tonight," I tell her and guide us out the door, without looking back.

A/N: I hope everyone liked this chapter! I actually love this episode, but the beginning has always really bothered me, when both Sikowitz and Tori call Jade a gank and no one seems to care. Anyway, please review and let me know what you think! The more reviews I get, the more motivation I have to write. I know it's cliche, but sadly it's the truth.
