"Whatcha watching, Mom?" Jack and Sean sat in the couch next to her.
"Well, you know Donnie Wahlberg?" Linda wondered.
"Mom, we live with you under the same roof. Of course we know who Donnie Wahlberg is." Sean sassed, rolling his eyes.
"Well, excuse me for having an interest. And don't talk to me like that."
"Sorry."
"So what are we watching?" Jack asked, looking at the tv.
"Wahlbergers. A reality tv show starring Donnie, Mark, Paul, and Alma?"
"Who's Paul?" Sean shifted positions.
"Donnie's brother."
"And Alma?"
"Their mother. She's hilarious. I love her."
"And you know this how?" Sean seemed to challenge.
"Are you kidding? Your mom's the biggest NKOTB fan ever. Therefore, knowing about all their families, other projects," Jamie, who had been checking out the plumbing, came into the family room.
"I'm sure there's a bigger fan... somewhere." She pauses the tv, not wanting to miss anything.
"That box in the attic marked 'Linda's fangirl stuff' says otherwise."
"Oh, come on, Jamie. How come I get teased, but you like The Moody Blues a lot, huh?"
"Because I don't have their curtains or bedsheets or sleeping bag... seriously, Linda, you were like, twenty."
"Just cause I bought it, doesn't mean I used it... like wedding china. You wash it and wash it and wash it, and never use it."
Jamie smirked and rolled his eyes, "the plumbing looks good. Have fun with your fantasy guy."
"Have fun with your partner!" Linda retorted, not realizing how that may have sounded.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Just what I said. Go on, Jamie. She's probably waiting at the precinct."
Jamie gave Linda a weird look, then left, leaving the boys and their mother in giggles.
"What're you watching?" Danny looked at the tv, "Wahlbergers, Huh?"
"Yup." Linda took a sip of her drink.
"Dad, did you know that Mom wants a Wahlberger?" Jack looked up at his Dad.
"Of course I knew that. Wanna know why I knew that? Cause every time your mother watches this, or she has a burger, she always says, 'Danny, where's my Wahlberger? When do I get a Wahlberger'?" He mocked Linda.
"I do not." She argued, knowing full well she did, in fact, say those things on a regular basis.
"Yes, you do."
"No I don't..." she crossed her arms, "by the way, when do I get a Wahlberger?"
"See what I mean?" He made his way to the kitchen, "I dunno. Soon."
"How soon?"
"Linda!"
"Alright, Alright."
"Next time the food truck comes 'round. I don't think Baez has had one either."
"Have you?"
"Of course I have."
"And you didn't bring me one?" Linda acted offended. In reality, she was a teeny bit jealous, but she liked poking and prodding her husband till those eight words came out.
"Linda..." Danny rolled his eyes as he poured himself some coffee. "I'll make it up to you, I promise."
Linda smiled, those eight words meant a lot. They also meant lack of sleep and being sore for the next few days, but everything comes with a price.
"Will you buy me a Wahlberger?"
"Linda!!"
"I'm kidding!" She whispered to Jack and Sean, "Mostly."
"I heard that." Danny sat next to Linda and put an arm around her. "No more asking. I'll get you one, I promise."
