*okay, a little rant here. In Blue Bloods' Growing Boys, Danny says he and Linda kissed for the first time after they saw The Cider House Rules, which would be impossible because that came out in '99, and they knew each other and were married before that. This chap is gonna fix that mistake.*
"Hey, Linda!" Danny Reagan called after the blonde.
"Yeah?" She turned around, hand clutching the strap of her bag.
"Are you doing anything later?"
"Later when?"
"Friday night?"
"No, I'm free as a bird. Why?"
"Uh, do you maybe wanna get some pizza and catch a movie?"
She smiled widely, showing her white teeth, "sure! What time?"
"Uh, six?"
"Six o'clock. I'll be ready."
Danny was nervous as he stood on the stoop of Linda's house. He hadn't know this girl all that long, and he really wanted to know her better.
"Yeah?" A young woman slightly older than him opened the door.
"Hi. Does Linda live here?"
"Who wants to know?"
"Uh, Danny."
"Why?"
"Why?" He repeated.
"That's what I said."
"Wendy, is that Danny?" Linda wondered, checking her purse. She looked to the door, "hi, Danny."
"Hey."
"I'll be back," Linda smiled at her sister and walked out the door. "See ya."
"Your sister?" Danny wondered as they walked to the car.
"Mhmm. Sorry, she's not the nicest person around."
"That's okay. I'm not either."
"You?" Linda reached for the door handle, but was pleasantly surprised to see Danny's hand already there. He opened the door for her, "why, thank you!"
"You're welcome." He walked to the other side of the car. "So," he started, getting in, "what's your favorite pizzeria?"
Linda shrugged, "Sarducci's?"
"Cool. That's a good place."
"What sounds good?" Danny asked, looking at the movie posters.
"Ooh, how 'bout Hook? Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams. It'll be funny, at least." Linda shrugged.
"Sounds good to me."
"Sorry you had to park the car so far away," Linda apologized as the cold winter air blew her hair.
"It's alright. I don't mind the cold. You, on the other hand..." he looked to her, a shivering, coat clutching blonde in heels. "Here, you can use my scarf." He unwrapped it and draped it over her shoulders.
"Thank you." She wrapped it around her neck, thankful for the little bit of extra warmth.
The teenagers walked in silence for a long while, until Danny spoke. "Linda?"
"Yes?" She and Danny stopped on the corner, waiting for the Walk signal.
"Can I, uh, can I kiss you?"
A big smile slowly spread across her face. "You're asking permission?"
"Well, yeah, condoms and consent has been drilled into my brain since I could talk-Uh, not that I want sex with you. That's not to say that I'll never want— I just-" he felt soft lips against his cheek as he flushed deeply.
"You have my permission."
He looked at her, seeing nothing but kindness in her bright blue eyes. Slowly, he leaned in for the kiss, hesitating only a moment or two before his lips met hers.
Linda felt something stir inside her stomach, something she wasn't familiar with... could it be love? She didn't know- all she knew was that she suddenly wasn't cold anymore.
The world stood still as they kissed. They would recall it was a very awkward, very chaste kiss, but it meant the world to both of them. Their foreheads touched, both of them swaying a little bit.
Once apart, Linda smiled at Danny and held out her hand. He took it, then glanced at the street sign. He wanted to remember everything about this night.
"I kissed a girl. On the corner of tenth and university place. And my life was never the same."

Should've been in the spring, but, oh well.
