A/N: I hope everyone is staying sane during this crazy time in our lives. I know I am going completely stir crazy, but I'm immunocompromised, so I have to stay at home at least until April 30. The good news is since I've got a lot of time on my hands, I should be updating this story much more regularly. So that's one positive anyway.

Thank you everyone who reads, follows, favorites, private messages me, and takes the time to write a review. It makes me so happy to know that people are enjoying this story.

Freak the Freak Out

Part Two

"I need to look extra hot tonight," Cat says the second she walks into my room.

"Why?" I ask her, putting down the jar that contains Beck's uncle's gallbladder. For some weird reason that I can't explain, watching the organ float and dance around in the formaldehyde is extremely calming and soothing.

"Oh ew," Cat wrinkles her nose as she looks at the jar. "I can't believe you still have that thing."

"So are you finally ready to forget about Daniel?" I ask her, putting the jar back onto my shelf. I turn back to face Cat with an enthusiastic grin on my face, encouraged that she seems to be more upbeat right now than she's been since the night of the Kickback.

"Yeah, about that….." Cat voice trails off and she refuses to meet my eye.

"Cat, please tell me that you aren't still talking to him," I walk up to her.

"Help me pick out my outfit," Cat says, changing the subject and thrusting her bag into my arms. "I need to look good tonight."

"Why?" I ask her, as I start pulling out tops and throwing them onto my bed.

"I just want to," Cat says, shrugging her shoulders and still refusing to look me in the eyes.

"You didn't," I tell her, and grab a hold of both of her shoulders and force her to look at me. "Please tell me you didn't invite him to Karaoke Dokey tonight!"

"I didn't invite him exactly," Cat tells me meekly. "But I maybe mentioned in passing that we were going to perform there tonight," she admits, and I drop my hands. Cat takes the opportunity to dart away from me and walks up to the bed, and grabs a sparkly sequined tank top. "I was thinking of wearing this with maybe a pair of jeans?"

I look at her stunned for a moment. "I thought we agreed you weren't going to talk to that cheating asshole anymore," I tell her, and sit down on my bed.

"But he keeps texting me telling me how sorry he is," Cat says, and sits down next to me. "I think I should give him another chance."

"Cat, no," I shake my head. "You most definitely should not give him another chance," I tell her. "If you want to look extra hot tonight on the off chance he shows up so he can see what he missed out on, fine."

"Easy for you to say, you have Beck," Cat pouts. "Is it so wrong for me to want to be in a relationship with someone too?"

"It's not wrong for you to want a boyfriend Cat. But no relationship will work without trust," I tell her. "And how can you possibly trust him after what he did at the Kickback?"

"This coming from someone who constantly gets jealous any time another girl even looks at her boyfriend," Cat replies, raising her eyebrows at me in disbelief and crossing her arms.

I stand up and begin pacing around my room. "That's not the same thing at all," I snap back at her. "I know that most of my jealousy is stupid. Do you think that I like to be this way? Always suspecting the worst, but knowing deep down that Beck would never cheat on me? It gets so exhausting, constantly battling yourself," I admit to Cat. "But you can't blame me for not wanting Vega to be alone with Beck. Especially after what happened the other night."

"Do you think that Tori is trying to steal Beck from you?" Cat questions me. "I thought you got past that."

"I was. I mean, I am," I correct myself. "But I can't help that my guard is up whenever she's around," I tell her, and start to look through the different clothes of Cat's that are tossed on my bed. "And since when were we talking about my relationship anyway? This was supposed to be about why you need to forget about Daniel," I tell her, and hold up a pair of miniscule jean shorts. "You should wear these tonight with that top you picked out."

"I think those might actually be my little cousin's," Cat tells me, grabbing them and holding them up to herself. "They are really short."

"Well, who's the one who said they wanted to look super hot tonight?" I smirk at her. "If Daniel does decide to show his face at the club tonight, he's going to have to pick his jaw up off the floor after seeing you in those. NOT that you are going to take him back or anything, but it won't hurt to let him see what he's missing out on," I tell her with a smile.

"Thanks Jadey," Cat says, and throws her arms around me in a bear hug. "You're the best!"

"Robbie and Rex are doing so good!" Cat exclaims, as we are watching Robbie perform a song with his dummy.

As much as that stupid doll annoys me, I can't ignore the fact that Robbie is a pretty amazing ventriloquist. Looking around at the other tables most people seem to be enjoying his song, which is good. I would never actually tell this to Robbie, but I am glad that others are appreciating how talented he actually is. I would probably appreciate it a lot more if he would just acknowledge the fact that Rex isn't real, but I don't see that happen anytime soon.

"When do you think it will be our turn to sing?" Cat asks me, once the applause for Robbie dies down.

"I don't know," I shrug, "I think there are a couple more people before us."

"Do you think that Robbie is going to get lucky tonight with those Northridge girls?" Andre asks, and I just roll my eyes.

"I wonder if they would involve Rex," Beck says with a laugh.

"Involve Rex how?" Cat asks, her eyes wide.

"That is NOT a mental picture I want in my head," I tell them all and drain the last of my drink. "I'm going to go get a soda," I tell everyone, getting up.

"Get me one?" I hear Andre ask.

"No," I say, not even bothering to turn around and stride up to the counter. "Can I get another diet coke?" I ask, handing the guy behind the counter my glass.

"Sure Sweet Thang," he says with a wink. I roll my eyes. "So I haven't seen you in here before," he says, handing me back my drink, as his eyes roam me up and down, and then his eyes remain focused on my chest. "Your first time here?" he asks, leaning on the counter towards me. "My name's Brian."

"First of all, my eyes are up here," I tell him, "and second of all, I have a boyfriend," I tell him, effectively shutting him down. I see no need to even pretend to be polite when some random person hits on me. Especially one that can't even bother to tear his eyes away from my boobs.

"Hey, I'm just trying to be friendly," the guy says holding up his hands. I spin around and walk away from him, not even bothering to respond to him.

"Hey Jade!" Robbie stops me as I walk by his table.

"Shapiro," I nod at him.

"I'd like you to meet Christy and Bella," he says, indicating the two girls at the table with him.

"Hi," they both say, with big fake smiles on their faces. I nod once at them, and put a hand on my hip.

"Jade's going to be performing later tonight too," Robbie tells them, and they both look at me smile politely. "So what did you think of my performance Jade?" Robbie asks me, after an awkward pause.

"It was okay," I shrug. "You need to work on your vocals a bit more. I'm not sure why you have Rex singing better than you, but…" I turn around and my voice trails off after I see a some chick sitting in my spot at the table, with her hands all over Beck.

"Jade," Robbie says my name, looking over at the table. "Don't do anything stupid," he says nervously. "You don't want to get kicked out before you get a chance to sing."

I narrow my eyes and watch as Beck takes the girl's hand out of his hair and then moves her hand away from his. Before I even register what I'm doing I have walked up behind where she is sitting.

"Um, hi. Miss?" I hear Cat say.

"What?" the random skank snarls at my best friend. Like I didn't already have a reason to hate this bitch.

"He has a girlfriend," Cat says calmly.

"I don't see her," she says.

"Turn around!" I tell her and take a drink of my diet coke. The girl slowly turns around in her seat to face me. "Now you see her."

"I don't see much," she says, smirking. I lower my drink and she gets up and takes a step towards me.

That's it. This bitch is going down.
