It now has been hours since Grove Street has taken over as many territories from the Ballas and Vagos as possible. CJ felt his heart thumping. He was very determined to search for Big Smoke and Tenpenny and get back at the two for all they had done, especially the latter since he was responsible for the riot in the first place.
CJ was just about to head back to Grove Street when he heard his cellphone ring. So CJ pulled the cellphone out of his pocket to answer it.
"Yeah?" CJ answered.
"Yo CJ, it's LB," he heard LB answer.
"What's up, LB?" CJ greeted.
"Yo I got something important to tell you," LB told him. "So you better get over here real quick."
CJ didn't say another word. He just stored his cellphone back into his pocket and continued walking down the street. It had to be important for LB to want him to see him right away. Plus LB had been very helpful with CJ and the Grove Street even before he had even met him in person. So CJ decided to just swing over to LB's place to see what he wanted this time.
CJ walked through the riotous streets and made his way to Playa del Seville. There, he saw that the street was stable and no longer riddled with anymore guards or police. So it looks like Seville Boulevard were still going strong at this point. Up ahead was LB and Ryder in front of LB's porch. Ryder walked up to CJ ready to greet him.
"What's happenin', Ryder?" CJ said giving his friend a handshake.
"Straight," Ryder answered. "Yo LB got some inside information to spill to us!"
"What's up, LB?" CJ said. "Y'all straight?"
"Almost," LB told him. "My gang is definitely poppin' heads again, and now that C.R.A.S.H. has lost many of its guys and are getting weaker by the minute thanks to you and the Grove, we free to take over the neighborhood!"
"I know, man," CJ said. "Now we can finally see where Smoke hiding at and tear Tenpenny apart."
"Hold on there, CJ," LB told him. "That was only the good news. This is the part where I have to tell ya the bad news."
"Bad news?" CJ asked. "What's the bad news?"
"I got something to tell you," LB told him. "We're fucked, man!"
"What you talking about?" CJ asked confused.
"I just discovered that there's a rat in the hood!" LB answered. "He was working undercover, and he's sending info to C.R.A.S.H. to show them all the shit that you and your gang did to weaken the system. Now he's gonna expose us all, and C.R.A.S.H. is gonna send the whole army after us!"
"Aww shit!" CJ groaned.
"He got the evidence on camera too," LB continued, "and he's making his way to Pershing Square to expose everything on tape!"
"Shit, shit, shit!" CJ shouted as he kicked a bucket towards the porch. "If he send that video to the police, they'll send the whole army against us and lock us all up for good! Then we'll never get a chance to search for Smoke and Tenpenny will get away with all of this! Goddamn!"
"That's why you and Ryder gotta hunt down that rat before he exposes the evidence to the cops," LB said. "His place is in the apartments of East Beach, and he's developing those photos right now! So y'all gotta run over to his place and make sure he doesn't make it to Pershing Square."
"I'm on it, LB!" CJ replied. "We gotta bounce!"
CJ and Ryder then hopped into Ryder's Picador and drove through the streets. They looked around the city to find more pedestrians running around carrying bags of stolen goods and electronic material.
"Man, this city is fucked up," CJ said. "Now we got undercover cops onto us."
"Don't sweat it, homie," Ryder told him. "That fool want to go undercover and snitch on us, we gonna play his game."
"Oh yeah?" CJ asked. "How we do that?"
"Ninja style, motherfucker!" Ryder replied. "We been there, done that, fool! We robbed from the soldiers! We capped them and the members of C.R.A.S.H.! Now we gotta sneak up on the snitch and take his ass out by surprise! That means we have to stick behind him and make sure nobody following him."
"I got it, homie," CJ replied.
He continued driving through the riotous street, avoiding the pedestrians roaming wildly around the streets. The SWAT team were also hanging around the streets as well, and they had tanks as well. It was only a matter of time until the city was completely demolished. CJ didn't wanted his city to tear apart, especially knowing that Tenpenny would get away with all of this. CJ made it to East Beach and parked in front of the apartment to their left.
"This the same apartment Lisa used to live at," Ryder said.
"For real?" CJ asked.
"Jeah," Ryder replied. "But that's not the point. Right now, we gotta sneak up on the rat before he makes a break for it. We can't surprise him, because we'll just startle him. We want him to get killed by surprise. So we gotta keep it discreet. Make that motherfucker bite the bullet indirectly."
"I got you, Ryder," CJ whispered.
Ryder handed CJ the sniper rifle. "You know what to do, homie," Ryder told CJ.
"Yeah," CJ uttered.
He and Ryder exited the car and took the nearby overhead catwalk behind them. They stood over the edge of the guardrail, expecting the rat to exit the house up ahead.
"Now remember, CJ," Ryder told them. "Keep it discreet. We like scorpions stinging him by surprise. He'll be sent to his grave spontaneously. Tonight will be his impromptu demise!"
"Yeah, I know," CJ whispered. "I carried a sniper rifle before, Ryder. I got this."
CJ aimed for the apartment and waited for the rat to come out of his apartment. He knew he had to keep silent to avoid alerting him. It had to be indirect, because if the undercover rat discovered that CJ and Ryder were after him, he'd called the members of C.R.A.S.H. and they'd be prepared to send the army on CJ and the rest of the gang. So it was very important for CJ to stay inconspicuous instead. No point in getting the heat turned up on him or the rest of his gang.
CJ then zoomed in closer to see the door swing open. There was the undercover cop, who appeared to be a scrawny brunette white male wearing a white jacket and blue pants. He was holding what appeared to be a stack of photos against his chest and walked down the stairs. By the time he made it downstairs, he was on the ground, and CJ aimed for his head, pulling the trigger in the process.
"Bull's-eye!" Ryder yelled as the undercover rat far away fell dead to the ground, dropping his photos on the ground. "Right in the fucking cranium!"
"Come on!" CJ said. "Let's pick up them photos before anyone else grabs them."
So CJ and Ryder ran down the catwalk and over to the undercover rat's corpse to scoop up the photos. The rat's head was gushing out blood profusely. They stored them in their pockets and then came across two other guys.
"You just shot our partner," one of them growled at the two Grove Street gangsters.
"Wait, you were working with that asshole?" CJ asked.
"I'm guess you two were the scums that set the headquarters in Pershing Square on fire," the other guy replied. "Now give us those photos!"
"Over my bloody corpse, motherfucker!" Ryder snapped posing to fight. "Just come and try me. I'ma mess with yo' nervous system, fool!"
"Okay," the other guy said. "A fight you want, a fight you'll get."
So CJ and Ryder each battled the two guys hand-to-hand. One of the guys started punching on CJ. But CJ then remember Lisa's counter attacks she used on him during sparring months ago. So as the other guy continued throwing punches, CJ used Lisa's counter skills taught to him and dominated on the guy. He also used the martial art skills he learned at the gym in San Fierro, as well as his boxing he learned at the gym on Ganton. He was getting the hang of the mixed hand-to-hand moves, and soon, he started prevailing in the fight.
Meanwhile, Ryder was using his martial art skills to physically dominate the other guy that was fighting him. Despite not being very muscular, Ryder was skilled in hand-to-hand since he learned all his moves from the kung-fu movies he watched as a kid. He also had a hard swing as well and can throw a punch hard enough to knock another guy's teeth out.
After a few minutes of fighting, the other two guys were now beaten to a pulp by the two gangsters. "What'd I tell ya?" Ryder bragged making a pose. "We can't be stopped! They fucking with a kung-fu warrior! Yo' shit was tight too, homie. Say CJ, where you learn how to use those moves?"
"Lisa taught me how to use them," CJ replied.
"Ah, so you were training with Lisa, huh?" Ryder asked.
"Yeah," CJ replied. "She's got some quick hands too. I also learned these moves at a gym in San Fierro, as well as the boxing over at the gym in Ganton."
"Shit," Ryder replied. "Looks like you got the moves of a switchblade."
"You heard that, homie," CJ said. "Now let's get these photos back to LB to stuff into the shredder."
Just then, they heard a gun go off, and the bullet went flying and hit Ryder's left shoulder. "Shit!" Ryder shouted.
"Ryder!" CJ yelled.
He turned to see another Caucasian male holding a pistol. "You just beat down two of my allies," he growled.
"Seriously?" CJ groaned. "How many more of y'all are there?"
"Time to die, champ!" the guy told CJ.
But CJ just pulled out his pistol and shot the guys dead with no hesitation. He then dragged Ryder through the sidewalk and to his Picador.
"Come on, Ryder," CJ told him. "We gotta get you to a hospital."
"I'll be fine, homie," Ryder told him. "It's only a bullet to the shoulder. Nothing a little operation wouldn't fix."
CJ carried Ryder to the vehicle and drove through the city. "We gotta get you fixed up, homie!" CJ told Ryder.
"It's gonna take more than a bullet in the shoulder to stop me," Ryder replied. "Just wait, I'll be out of the ER and back out on the streets in no time."
"Well, you gotta hang in there, homie," CJ told him. "We gotta keep you healthy so you can cap these gangs again."
"I told you, CJ," Ryder said. "I'ma be back onto the streets again. It's only one bullet."
CJ didn't say another word. He knew that Ryder was always the one who never wanted to go down without a fight. So he continued driving around the riotous city and prayed that the nearest hospital wasn't replete with rioters as well, especially inside the hospital. To his surprise, however, the County General Hospital was crowded with doctors, and they were all keeping the rioters back.
Thank fucking goodness for this shit, CJ thought. This same calamity don't need to be happening inside the hospital.
As CJ made it to the hospital, Ryder was now carried on a stretcher by the doctors, and CJ turned to see LB and Lisa behind.
"Get your hands off me!" Lisa shouted at the doctors who were grabbing her. "That's my brother over there!"
Lisa freed herself out of their grip and ran up to Ryder, who had just noticed her approaching.
"Whassup, Lisa?" he told Lisa casually.
Lisa stared at Ryder wearing a nervous expression on her face. She examined Ryder carefully. "Where did you get hit, bro?" she asked. "Where does it hurt? Are you bleeding? Please say something, bro!"
"Chill out, Lees," Ryder told her. "I only took a bullet to the shoulder. I'll be cool."
Lisa just sighed in relief. "Thank goodness," she said. "Well it looks like we're both scarred for life now, huh little bro?"
"Jeah," Ryder said. "We ain't so different after all."
The two siblings just laughed. "Well take care of yourself, fool," Lisa told Ryder shaking his head around. "Don't get yourself killed doing some dumb shit."
"I'll be cool, Lisa," Ryder repeated. "All I need is a bullet removed out of my shoulder. They still can't stop me! I'm a genius!"
Lisa just laughed at Ryder's claim. "Of course you are, Lance," she joked. "Just get some rest, fool. You'll need to rest that brain of yours."
"Jeah," Ryder agreed. "See you later."
Lisa then watched as Ryder was taken inside the hospital. CJ and LB walked over to Lisa.
"Hey, Lisa," CJ said as he gave Lisa a hug and she returned the gesture. "What you doing all the way over here?"
"I just decided to come over to the Grove to check up on y'all," Lisa replied. "So I called Lawrence to pick me up and we just happened to come across this."
"Yeah," LB said. "Lisa wanted to come over to see you guys. She's been stressing out over y'all."
"Okay," CJ said. "Is Kendl okay?"
"Of course she's okay," Lisa told him. "She's staying over at El Corona with Cesar. They ain't staying, but Cesar said he wanted to protect his home until this riot ends."
"Okay, cool," CJ said. He then pulled the photos out of his pocket. "Me and Ryder stole these from that rat. He won't be getting any information out of us again."
"Excellent," LB replied taking the photos. He ripped them all up in shreds. "Yo CJ, want a ride back to Grove?" LB offered. "I'm taking Lisa over there as well."
"Sure thing," CJ replied. "Thanks, LB."
"No problem, CJ," LB said as he, CJ, and Lisa walked over to his green Elegy. Lisa wrapped her arm around CJ's wrist, which caused CJ to blush a little. LB noticed right away.
"Looks like your new lover is counting on you, CJ," LB teased smiling.
CJ didn't care. As soon as the riot was over, he would soon be closer to Lisa anytime. The two hopped into the back seat while LB took the driver's seat. He started the engine and drove through the city. With Ryder getting treated for his bullet wound, it was up to CJ and the rest of Grove Street to finally search for Big Smoke and confront Tenpenny to finally put an end to the never-ending riot. This was his moment!
