Part 14
-Leaf Village-
"See you Satsuki, Haru," Naruko said waving goodbye. She needed to speak to her father right now about a certain incident.
Haru watched as the optimistic girl ran off into the busy streets of their village, the civilians parting way for her each smiling and greeting her.
He was interrupted from his observation when Rin and Kakashi jumped on top of a nearby building also, waving goodbye.
He gulped and looked to his right seeing Satsuki looking at him with an eyebrow raised boringly. Opening his mouth to speak, he closed it when Satsuki beat him to it.
"Walk me home Haru, I'll show you my training grounds and if you want you can come by tomorrow since we don't have any training," she said grabbing his hand and dragging him through the busy streets.
Haru frowned, seeing villagers scowl at he and Satsuki's linked hand. Gulping he tightened his hold and felt a smile grow on his face when the Uchiha squeezed back.

Fugaku Uchiha was a scary man, Haru already knew that. But that was cemented when the man stopped him from entering the Uchiha Compound glaring at him with much more ferocity than even the villagers.
Haru lowered his shaking hand that he had extended to the man minutes prior. Scratching his head with a grimace he supposed calling the man father was a bit too far. It did work on the Hokage however, so it was worth a shot.
Haru smiled at Satsuki who was glaring daggers into her father's back. He watched her nod her head to him with a blush on her face and stomp off into the extensive compound.
Getting ready to leave the Uchiha Heads presence he halted feeling the man grab his shirt and bring him high up to his face. "Stay away from my daughter demon, you've already caused enough damage to my clan's reputation."
Demon again? How was he a demon?
Haru was surprised when four ninja, each wearing white mask surrounded the powerful Clan Head not flinching when the man's own ninja, the Uchiha Police force surrounded them with twenty some officers each waiting for something to happen.
Why do I always get in situations like this? Haru thought to himself crying comically. He wanted to save a princess from a situation like this, not be the one needing saving.
Fugaku glared at the brat in his hand. Why was he crying? And why were these root ninja here? He supposed he'd get his answers seeing as how Danzo, the head of Root and the sleeziest man in the village was walking towards him.
Danzo stopped walking due to an Uchiha officer blocking his path. Pointing at the boy Danzo said, "Hand my student over Fugaku."
Fugaku looked at the shrugging kid and then to Danzo. Easy choice.
He dropped Haru down on the ground and motioned for his men to follow after him back inside the compound, not caring for whatever sick plans the war hawk had for the brat.
"Thanks for helping me out there Mister…"
"Danzo, but you will be calling me Sensei, Master, or Lord one of the three will be fine,"
Haru sat on his butt watching as the seemingly important old man put his hands behind his back and turned his back to him.
This crazy old man was his new sensei? What kind of joke was this? Only Rin and Icha Icha were his sensei's.
Getting up with a glare he took a step towards the bandaged man to give him a piece of his mind. But he stumbled back when a breeze of air pushed him.
Feeling one of the men behind him grab his shoulder, Haru turned back and glared at the masked man, but then found himself in a dark office of sorts.
The bandaged man walked from behind him and sat down at a stone carved desk with neatly ordered books and scrolls on it.
"Tell me, do you know what the word Jinchuriki means, my student?"
No response, He knew the word, but not what it meant.
Danzo gestured for him to sit down in the chair in front of him and smirked slightly seeing the boy comply.
"A human sacrifice for the betterment of a village, the vessel of a tailed beast."
Haru's eyes widened in shock and realization. The glares, the isolation, and finally his mother's treatment of him. It all made sense.
Letting his eyes drop to the floor he wanted to go home. Why was he always getting captured by one person and then another?
Was he really weak?
He wanted to hang out with his little brother. Or attempt to play shogi with his uncle. Not be here in a dark office with this creep. Haku is somewhere in the village too.
"You are the host of our dear Kyuubi, Haru Sarutobi and I plan on making you a Shinobi who can rival that of your grandfather. "
Snapping his green eyes on Danzo he glared. "What do you know of my grandfather?!"
"Everything."
Haru was left speechless by the man's simple but confident answer.
"I want to go home. Right now," Haru demanded slamming his fist on the stone desk.
If Danzo cared he didn't show it. He merely got up from his seat and pointed at a pitch black door on the other side of the room.
"That is your home for the next two weeks until I've deemed you worthy enough to leave. Show me that feresome power that lies within you and I'll consider letting you see the sun again"
The sun. He thought of Naruko smiling a dazzling smile at him with Satsuki smirking at him, recognizing his skills. Never seeing the sun again sounded like torture to the max.
Danzo then waved his hand, shooing Haru away. He closed his eye when a ninja silently dropped down beside the boy and dragged him through the now open door.
Minato was a fool for thinking he wouldn't try his hand at messing with the Biju power within the boy.
Or was he? What did Minato have planned? Danzo thought to himself basking in the silence and darkness of the room.

Naruko knocked on her father's office door instead of just barging in like she would usually do and smiled awkwardly at seeing him open the door with a confused face.
"Hey Tou-san?"
"Yeah?" He asked opening the door fully so she could enter the room. Already knowing vaguely what was about to be said he closed the door and watched as his daughter got comfortable on the couch in his Hokage office.
"This might sound crazy, but I don't think I'm like other people," she whispered while looking down at the ground.
"I'm a monster," she said remembering how she enjoyed beating Haku over and over against the water and how happy she was letting the rage inside of her out.
It disgusted her thinking of it.
Minato watched his strong little girl break down for the first time in years. Appearing in front of her he hugged her and rubbed her back hating the sound of her sobbing, he was never good at this.
He wished that Kushina was still alive to help him out, she would be great at this. But she wasn't so he'd deal with this his way.
Pulling back from her he asked, "Do you know what a Jinchuriki is sweety?"
"A little," she said with fear in her voice.
"It's nothing to be afraid of, so you know your sensei is the holder of the Three tailed Beast right?"
She nodded her head not liking where this conversation was going.
"Naruko-chan, you are the holder of the Nine Tails, but so was your mother and ancestor before her."
Gulping nervously at seeing her scared expression he hugged her again and continued.
"Each one of those women were able to live their lives knowing and experiencing love and friendships. They weren't monsters and neither are you."
"Can I tell Satsuki and Haru?"
"No, it's a village secret only you and I can know. It's for your protection." Minato said honestly, rubbing her head.
Naruko nodded and slowly fell asleep on the couch clutching at her father. Minato created a clone to finish his work and layed down next to her, also falling asleep.
That was the most stressful conversation he's had in years.
