A/N: This one's been on the backburner for the longest time; it was initially supposed to be written alongside What a Feeling (which was SEVEN YEARS AGO). It's set in that universe and takes place between chapters 8 and 9.

Chapter inspiration: In the Musicals (Dancer in the Dark)

Jeff could've sworn he was just in the hospital room but he was walking through the Dalton hallways. Everything was dark but of course he knew his way. There was harmonizing coming from the rehearsal room. He pushed the door open to see the blue uniforms but no faces.

Why do we love it so much?

What kind of magic is this?

How come we can't help adore it?

It's just another musical

No one minds it at all

If we're having a ball

This is a musical

"Guys?" Someone stepped forward and Jeff could only recognize Louis by his voice.

And there's always someone to catch you

There's always someone to catch you

There's always someone to catch you

There's always someone to catch you

When you fall

It was at that moment Jeff could tell them apart by the tie. Each had a different color, and he recalled one of the group's overnights where they revealed their favorite color, among other little trivias. Louis' was puce, Ted's was electric indigo, Sebastian's was oxblood and Nick's was... The faceless with a French blue sky tie stepped out.

Why do I love you so much?

What kind of magic is this?

How come I can't help adore you?

You are in a musical

Jeff thought about what caused this but came up blank. He figured it was some bizarre dream. His friends circled around him.

We don't mind it at all

If we're having a ball

This is a musical!

And we will always be there

To catch you
We are always there to catch you

We are always there to catch you

We are always there to catch you

When you fall

We don't mind it at all

If we're having a ball

This is a musical!

And we will always be there

To catch you
We will always be there to catch you

We will always be there to catch you

We will always be there to catch you

When you fall

We are always there to catch you

And there's always someone to catch you

We will always be there to catch you

We will always be there to catch you

Jeff felt himself getting dizzy. "When I'd fall," he mumbled before everything went black.

The blond jerked awake, breathing heavily. "Jeff? Babe, are you okay?" Nick was right beside him, holding his hand. "Bad dream?"

"More like crazy dream. You were there, and Louis were there, Sebastian, Ted... I couldn't see your faces. I could tell it was you because your tie was your favorite color." Nick's expression was blank. "And you were all singing this song. I've never heard it before. It even said 'you are in a musical'. Very fourth wall breaking."

Nick wasn't sure how to respond. He tucked Jeff in and kissed his forehead. "Let's maybe watch some TV before Kurt comes back and turns on Jersey Shore, huh?" Jeff nodded, a small blush on his cheeks. "I'll also tell the nurse to lay off the morphine."
