Later on that day Dwayne and Whitley went out to eat at IHOP with their friends and family.
"So how was everybody's Christmas?" Whitley asked.
"It was good." Freddie said looking through the menu.
"I got a kitten." Brielle said.
"Aww you did." Kim said she glared at Spencer. "I want one but somebody is allergic to them."
Spencer playfully laughed.
"You wouldn't want to kill me would you?" He asked.
Kim smiled and shook her head.
"No."
"Hey Freddie you ok you look kind of upset?" Dwayne asked.
"I'm fine I just don't know what to get." Freddie answered.
"Oh we're gonna be here for a long time sit tight." Dwayne said.
Whitley nudged Dwayne.
"What do you mean?" Ron asked.
"Pregnant woman are so indecisive." Dwayne said. "I went to Olive Garden with Whitley when she was pregnant only for her to take 3 hours to order."
"Oh hush no I did not." Whitley said.
"Yes you did and then you ordered the whole menu when you finally did decide." Dwayne said and him and Spencer started to laugh.
"I did not." Whitley said to Dwayne she then turned to Freddie. "You take as long as you need."
"No you better not." Kim said. "I'm hungry and I want some pancakes."
"Kim!" Freddie yelled. "I can't have all this pressure on me to order."
"Freddie you don't have any pressure on you to order." Ron said. "We'll all wait for you, right Kim." Ron said glaring at Kim.
"Fine." Kim huffed. "Take your time."
"I miss the days when Brielle got to eat free and we got the little coloring books." Dwayne said.
Finally to the relief of Kim who's stomach was growling loudly Freddie finally decided on what she wanted, and Dwayne was right she did order a lot.
When the food came everybody chatted about the baby.
"So what kind of theme do you want for the baby shower?" Whitley asked.
"Whitley shouldn't you plan once we know the gender then you can know a theme." Ron said.
"Oh shutup Ron who asked you." Whitley snapped as she turned back to Freddie.
"Honestly Whitley I really don't know." Freddie said.
"You two should be proud." Dwayne said to Kim and Spencer. "You both haven't slipped up yet."
"Oh trust me we slipped up many times before." Spencer said. Kim nudged him playfully. "Spencer." She said.
Brielle made a disgusted face.
"You all are disgusting." She said.
"Oh lord I forgot there was a child at the table, I'm sorry baby." Whitley said.
"Oh no you all can keep talking it's not like I don't know I mean you and dad did awkwardly give me the talk." Brielle said.
Whitley and Dwayne gave each other a look.
And everybody else tried not to laugh.
When Freddie got home she was exhausted.
"Why does being pregnant make you so tired?" She asked yawning. She curled up on the couch and closed her eyes.
Ron joined her sitting down on the couch and putting Freddie's feet on his lap.
"I don't know baby but we better get all the sleep we can get cause we're not gonna get any once this baby is born." Ron said.
Freddie opened her eyes and a weird feeling appeared in the pit of her stomach.
"Ron?"
"Yes baby?"
"Are you scared?" Freddie asked sitting up, she scooted closer to Ron.
"Of what?" Ron asked.
"Of being parents I mean we don't know anything about raising kids." Freddie said.
"Oh come on Freddie we know some things what about that time we babysitted Brielle when she was 5." Ron said.
"And why haven't we babysitted her again?" Freddie asked sarcastically.
Ron sighed and pulled Freddie closer to him, Freddie rested her head on Ron's shoulder.
"Freddie baby we're gonna be amazing parents there is nothing to be worried about, we have each other it's not like you're raising this baby on your own you have me remember." Ron said.
"You're right." Freddie said smiling.
"I know I am." Ron said getting up. He picked Freddie up off the couch bridal style.
"Ron." Freddie said smiling from ear to ear.
"Ah ah don't protest now baby we're going to the bedroom." Ron said.
Freddie smiled. To think that the man she used to hate would end up being such a wonderful husband.
