Hey everyone!
Hope your February is going well. The UK is currently getting battered by storms so it's a case of staying inside where it's safe. It's also still very cold here as well so staying inside an warm is also a great idea currently. A couple of fics I'm waiting to see what happens with them so stay tuned. I also have a book where I'm writing my ideas down in as well.
Lots of love,

Hidden Child-Part 65:
Lyra was on edge. After the dorm war had been declared over Astrid had been glaring at her more than usual and it made her feel uncomfortable. She couldn't stand being around the witch and spent as much time as possible out of the dorm.
A few days later and Dumbledore had called an extra training session for Lyra as he wanted to see if her shields were holding up in the situation of a duel.
"Thank you for organising this extra training session for me sir," Lyra said as she stood to face the Headmaster.
"You're welcome Lyra. I wanted to see how your shields are doing now. No I won't be trying to bring them down but you'll have them dropping naturally and you will have to try and up them and duel me at the same time," Dumbledore explained and Lyra nodded before taking up her starting position and watched Dumbledore, ready to strike when he sent something her way.
Soon Dumbledore did and Lyra began to move, block and send minor hexes back at Dumbledore and then she could feel her shields lowering and began to bring them back up. She managed to get her shields back up and then one time she couldn't and she fell to the ground.
Her wand clattered to the floor and her hand went onto her ears and she began to rock backwards and forwards. Her Occlumency shields were down and she began to cry as her mind began to overfill with everyone's thoughts. Dumbledore hurried to her side before grabbing her and her wand and apparating to the Hospital Wing and immediately cast shields as soon as he could so Lyra could calm down.
"What's happened?" Madam Pomfrey asked.
"I was training with Lyra and her shields shattered," Dumbledore said, "but they shouldn't have shattered like that so I can't help but wonder if there's something that I have missed. I brought her here…"
"Because I am the only one that can properly examine her without her parents going crazy," the matron said as she began to look at Lyra as Dumbledore watched on.
Silence fell as Poppy began to examine Lyra and she bean to calm down and settle into the bed as her head began to stop hurting. The Headmaster sat by the bed and watched as Lyra was examined before watching and wondering if the Hogwarts matron could find anything wrong with Lyra.
A sigh escaped the matron's lips before she looked at the Headmaster.
"It appears that there is a charm on Lyra but not one that you have on her. Those ones last moments… this one doesn't. It stays the whole time and can only be done by an adult," Madam Pomfrey said, "so someone has been feeding inside information to someone outside of the Castle."
"Miss Astrid maybe. I cannot help but wonder if the dorm war went on longer than we know," Dumbledore thought aloud, "then action will have to be taken. Can you remove it?"
"Alas. This is one that Lyra has to fight off herself but after she has recovered from the shock of what has happened to her today," the matron said, "I would advise that Miss Lyra and her friend are changed dorms immediately and Lyra fights it off before Miss Malfoy's parents are informed. They will no doubt be horrified to learn what has happened to their daughter." Dumbledore agreed and left Lyra under the care of the matron.
Over the next couple of days the dorm change was made and Lyra was confined to the safety of the Hospital Wing as she could begin to fight the charm that was on her and affecting her Occulemcy shields. They were crucial to Lyra being able to re-join her classmates.
The monitoring began to increase, albeit secretly, on Astrid to see if she was contacting someone that she shouldn't be. Suspicions were raised because Astrid would have known when Lyra was going to Hogsmeade and that seemed the most obvious place that the curse could have been put on the 11-year-old Malfoy child.
Jasmine and Zenon, along with Draco, Astoria and Daphne were the only visitors allowed to see Lyra. Lucius and Narcissa remained oblivious to their daughter's suffering as she recovered from her shields breaking and then she was able to begin fighting the charm.
Lyra was asleep when Draco went to see her.
"What happened?" Draco finally asked the matron as he pushed his sister's hair back off her face.
"We think that a charm has been placed on your sister that affects her Occulemncy shields," the matron said, "the Headmaster suspects Astrid has been giving inside information on when you two have been going to Hogsmeade."
"But why would someone do that? Unless they meant to do her harm…" Draco said.
"The Headmaster is aware and looking into it now. Jasmine and your sister will be in a different dorm when Lyra is allowed to leave and that won't be until her shields come back up," Madam Pomfrey said, "we are also looking at letting your parents know once we have answers to what has been going on because you know what your father is like."
"That I do. Father is going to be furious when he does find out. He's getting rather protective of Lyra now he's leaning what it's like to have a daughter. I juts wish he could have discovered it sooner," Draco said, "I have no idea how he's going to react to this."
"All we can do is help Lyra get her shields back up and then we can figure everything else out," the matron said.
"That we will, that we will," Draco said.
