Sorry this is a day late, I actually had a bit of a hard time writing this one since I've been getting burned out lately. So I'm thinking that it'll be after this world is done, that I'll take my break. Which won't be too much longer...even though this world already has the most parts out of any so far. But anyway, I hope that all of you enjoy this chapter.

Inverted Sky: Kingdom Hearts II

Chapter 93: The Caribbean part XII

"I suppose it is." Sora responded to Norrington's words about her weapon, both her and the man watching Turner and Jack rush into the jungle.

Though, after a brief moment, Elizabeth was seen chasing after them. Calling out for the two to stop fighting, making the brown-haired teen and Norrington just glance to one another briefly. Both of them shrugging their shoulders before turning around, only to see Ragetti and Pintel lifting a small black chest from either side. This lead for Sora to clear her throat loud enough for the pair to hear, to which they just smiled sheepishly and put it back down.

At which point, Norrington then turned toward the teen for a moment with a slightly raised brow. "By the way..." he began while, tilting his head curiously to the side.

"...I thought you had silver hair." the man finished silently, making Sora herself turn to him and shrug.

"Yeah...I decided I liked it this color instead." she hummed out, simply offering a small smile.

Norrington raised his brow higher to this, yet eventually shrugged back and sighed. "Very well." he muttered, not seeming to bother arguing or questioning this any further.

However, he glanced back down to the girl's Keyblade once more and narrowed his gaze ever so slightly. "That weapon of yours...it was not on your person before we came here. Out of curiosity, would it be safe to assume that it's some kind of magic?" Norrington asked, shifting the conversation back to his original inquiry.

Sora glanced over to the man once more, tilting her head slightly while doing so. "How much do you know about magic?" she questioned while narrowing her own eyes, seeming to be judging how much he might already know from his reaction.

"Well, I fought a crew of undead pirates, cursed by some sort of Aztec treasure. So I have at least a small idea that it exists." the man claimed, looking out to the side briefly, as if recalling the event.

This caused Sora to blink a few times, her recalling back to when Elizabeth mentioned seeing a curse. The teen wondering if she and Norrington saw the same thing, but it quickly made her take in exactly what he just said. "Wait...did you say 'undead pirates'?" she uttered out with rapidly blinking eyes.

"Yes." Norrington said back while shrugging his shoulders, not sure for the reason behind the distinction.

The teen looked down for a moment before taking in and letting out a deep breath; 'If it wasn't for the recent events, I feel like I would be able enjoy the thought of that a lot more.' she thought sadly to herself.

"Well...you're correct in assuming that my weapon is magical in nature." Sora said, offering a nod to the man.

Whom returned this gesture before glancing toward the small black chest on the ground once more. It being less than a meter away from the hole it was dug up from, as well as the larger chest it had been placed inside of. "Would you be able to use it to unlock that chest?" Norrington asked, making a brief gesture toward the object.

Sora raised a brow before she then nodded her head slowly once more; "Yeah, I could do that." she responded, to which the man took on a knowing expression.

"Would it be possible for you to do so now? At least to confirm the contents." Norrington inquired, him sounding very respectful and honest.

However, the teen could tell there was some sort of hidden agenda, as he already began approaching the small chest. Sora simply let out a sigh and shrugged before following after the man. In getting closer, it was very clear that Norrington's attention was focused fully on the black chest. The girl's gaze though, was on the papers and parchment within the larger one. All the while, Ragetti and Pintel remained a few steps away, allowing the two to do as they pleased.

As Sora made her way over to the bigger chest, she picked up one of the papers folded up into a small square, it having an unbroken seal. Upon removing this and unfolding the paper, she blinked many times at its contents. 'It's a letter to a lover...but why wasn't it opened?' she thought to herself before looking down to all of the other parchments in the chest.

'There are so many here...yet not one of them looks like they were ever read.' Sora continued in her mind, a sad lump developing in her throat.

'Seems like today is just filled with sorrow and misery. Or maybe it's just this island. Jack did say Davy Jones did draw enjoyment from tragedy.' she continued inwardly with a heavy sigh.

Norrington looked to the girl while raising a brow, yet before he could say anything, the teen spun her Keyblade briefly and pointed it at the smaller chest. This caused a beam of white energy to shoot from the weapons' tip and into the keyhole. After a quick unlocking sound was heard, a series of square protrusions came out around the rip of the lid. With a nod of thanks and small smile, Norrington knelt down and opened the chest slowly.

This revealed a still beating heart that looked strangely fresh, despite likely being in there for a long time. Sora turned her gaze away from the letters and looked to this, to which she just stared in a bit of surprise. "Whoa...so when Jack said 'the heart of Davy Jones'...he was being literal." she muttered silently with blinking eyes.

"It seems so." Norrington said as he reached in to take the beating organ, yet paused as Sora cleared her throat in a firm way.

"Nuh-uh." the teen hummed out with a shake of her head.

"I opened it to to confirm the contents, remember?" she stated, more than asked.

Norrington simply nodded his head with a shrug, him then pulling both hands away in order to show he would listen to her demands. "Of course." he said silently, standing up and away from the chest after closing it.

"We can wait for the others to return." the man continued, yet turned quickly toward Ragetti and Pintel as they suddenly ran past.

"Good luck with that!" the latter called out, leading for Sora and Norrington to look and see over a dozen creatures emerging from the water.

Each of them looking like some kind of bizarre human merged with one or multiple creatures of the sea. One having the head of a Hammerhead shark, another having the arm and claw of a crab. But each one was covered in all manner of barnacles and kelp as they moved onto shore. They then came rushing toward the two, yelling out in a frenzy when they noticed that the chest was there. "Oh wow." Sora muttered silently while readying her weapon along with Norrington.

The creatures rushed forward and immediately moved in to surround the pair. Yet the brown-haired girl leaned forward slightly before vanishing from sight. Her moving fast enough that everything else was moving in slow motion, to which she weaved between each of the mutated beings until reaching the very back. Along the way though, she hit all but three in the back of the head. This leading for the first few to hit the ground by the time she had stopped on the shoreline.

As the remaining three creatures watched their comrades drop to the ground around them, they quickly looked back at where Sora stopped. Them staring in sheer shock, as this was not something they expected, nor anything they've ever seen before. This lead for them to just turn and run at the chest Norrington was currently guarding. Though the man was also surprised from the girl's display, it wasn't quite as remarkable to him after everything else he's seen.

Norrington then shifted into a more battle ready pose and began fending off the remaining three foes. Each of which were very obviously no match for his skill, to which Sora smirked and faced the ocean ahead of her. 'Now that I've taken notice of them...I'm definitely sensing more of them in the water.' she thought to herself, drowning out the sound of fighting behind her.

'If these guys are after the chest, then they must be apart of Davy Jones' crew. And that means...' the teen continued in her mind before holding a hand out and closing both eyes.

After a few moments her hand tensed slightly before lifting upward, at which point, a massive sphere erupted up and out of the ocean. It looking like one of Sora's barrier spells, only much larger in size. Within this sphere, was a ship of ghostly visage. Pale white wood, similarly colored kelp-like sails, and a bow that resembled a mouth of sorts. Long jagged planks giving the illusion of teeth. But in seeing this, Sora couldn't help but blink many times and smile softly.

"That's actually kind of cool." she whispered to herself while bringing the ship closer to shore before releasing the spell.

This dropping the ship onto the surface of the sea about fifty meters away, as well as allow the trapped water to splash down. As the ship hit the water, it created a wave that splashed out and around it, before slowly coming to rest. Once it did, the crew on board moved to the sides in order to see exactly what was going on. At which point, Sora noticed one in particular as he brought up a telescope in order to see the teen on shore much better.

This individual was a man with light brown skin, and a long beard made of tendrils that resembled octopus arms. He also had what was clearly a crab claw as his left arm, while his right one appeared to have a long tentacle for his index finger. This man wore a long captain's coat that was covered in barnacles, and had many holes across it that ranged in their size. Even his hat held all manner of barnacles and sea weed on it. But as he looked at Sora via his spy glass, his only open eye squinted briefly before removing the scope from his face.

In the same moment, Sora was suddenly standing in front of the man with a small smirk on her features. "So...you must be Davy Jones." she muttered silently.

Upon appearing in this way, the others nearby quickly drew their weapons in order to protect their captain. However, he actually brought up his clawed arm while keeping his gaze on the teen. His gesture leading for each of the crew to stop in their movement of attack, to which he slowly lowered his arm once more. "You have my attention-a." he said silently, yet with a rather thick accent.

"As well as my interest." the man continued while cocking his head to the side slightly.

Sora gave a nod to this before she took in and let out a heavy sigh; "Well...since all these people seem to be determined to get your heart for their own purposes, I figure we could come to an agreement in order to help everyone involved." she stated while unsummoning her Keyblade and crossing both arms.

Davy Jones gazed to her with a slightly raised brow, not seeming to trust her words. But just as he was about to speak on this, he couldn't help but pause when noticing the determined look in her eyes. This lead for him to slowly take in and let out a breath of his own; "You seem to be quite confident-a. Yet I doubt even the Keyblade wielder can mediate something like this." he claimed in a firm and knowing manner.

Despite blinking a few times in surprise that he knows about the Keyblade, she just shrugged her shoulders in response. "Whether or not it's possible...I'm still willing to try and negotiate a peace so everyone gets what they want to some degree or another." she stated before actually sitting down on the deck of the ship and crossed her legs.

"So lets talk things out." Sora stated, gesturing for the man to sit down as well.

"And what if I were to say, that what I want...is the soul of Jack Sparrow?" Jones questioned as he took a step forward and did indeed sit across from the girl.

Whom simply shrugged her shoulders to this claim, to which she then glanced to the side. "I get the feeling, if those letters were anything to go by..." she started, making Davy Jones' eyes widen heavily.

"...his soul isn't what you really want." Sora finished while looking to the man once more.

And there you have it, Sora pulled a Davy Jones on Davy Jones. ;D And now we'll see how things progress from here. Let me know what you thought of this chapter, and until next time.
