Homecoming
Black Dragons
The families were readying to move on, Lear decided everyone would move together. His one concern was the enemy amongst them.
He had seen Zech and called him. "Zechariel, I saw you, and I need to talk to you."
Lear had called Zech by his true name, he couldn't disobey. Time to face up to his past. Because of him, so many had died.
Zech came as the grey Fae creature. "My King," he went on his knees.
"Stand, I saw the Protectors, I thought they were gone along with all of you," Lear told him.
"They are here, I called them. I deserve your hate." Zech told him the story of his anger and meeting the Master. And how he could barely remember.
"I thought he was gone. Gellert's parents destroyed him, I asked them to do it. I heard about the things inside Gellert; they came from the demon. He is a second rate demon that killed my father as well. He came thru an old gate, and my father recognized him. He calls himself the Master. He wants all the magic and wants to take over this world. You had no chance against him. Silly Zech, you were being sent to my daughter's house. You were my best, and her family needed protection; she was expecting twins when she was killed." Lear dried the flowing tears.
"It is my fault, kill me if you wish," Zechariel's heart broke in pieces when he heard he had been given such an honor, and, instead, he helped kill the princess. He was making grieving sounds.
"No more crying. Bring one of the Protectors, or better take me to them. They might know who the traitor is. I won't allow the death of one more pup." Lear would destroy anyone who tried.
The sleepers
Lear turned into a wolf, following Zech into a cave. They went deep inside and were greeted by two Black dragons. They changed into Fae creatures like Zech, but their skin was deep black, not a human color. Their hair, much like Zech's, was colorless.
"You came for them," they said before Lear could say a word. "First, Zecheriel needs to free his brethren, we cannot do it."
Now Zech remembered, the Master had ordered to lock the other Helpers in a secret vault. They were made to go to sleep inside the round vault. The black dragons, Zechariel, and Lear arrived; they stood by an old building, hidden by trees in the forest. They went inside, they searched until they found the vault.
The four of them stood in front of the massive metal door. Zech just waved his hand, and the metal door creaked open. The room had small vents to the outside. It was freezing. Inside, they found eleven dragons, in their reduced size, fast asleep. Zech woke them up. All remembered being trapped so they couldn't help the pups and their parents. Zech's brother wanted to kill him, but Lear stopped them.
"No fighting, we all need to stay together, Zech was used by an old enemy I thought gone. If anyone is at fault, it could be me, I should have checked further, but I thought him gone."
The dragons turned into their Fae form and followed the black Fae, deep into the caves.
Lear would never forget that day. In cots, he found several of those he thought dead. The pups were fast asleep, one of his young daughters had made it, his face broke into a giant grin. But that wasn't all. Several adults were also there, nearly twenty. He had seen them dead, he realized, the protectors did it, they created dead bodies to fool the attackers. Five were pregnant females, his friend Donatus, and he couldn't believe his eyes.
"Ari, my love." He ran to her, she was barely waking up. She held on to him.
"Silly, silly man, all that anger, I thought I was dead until recently. I tried to tell you, but you couldn't see me. My brother needs to be stopped. Albus has seen me and thinks I am a ghost. I thought it so as well, until the day the Protectors brought the children here, Margie's grandchildren. Albus is sick, he was behind the massacre. So many dead."' They held each other, grieving all the dead, they cried for their oldest daughter, and for those who didn't make it.
They woke up the ones who survived, 24 pups and 16 adults. The Astus had survived as well as Donatus. Lear's heart was flooded with emotion. He hugged each one of them.
He told her all he knew, and she wanted to see her Fenny and her great-grandchildren.
Lear thanked the Protectors. Unfortunately, they had no idea who the traitor was. "We are leaving to an old Fortress, one the Master doesn't know. You must come with us, but we need to find the enemy within, there is one, so you can help. Once we find him or her, we just watch the wolf, someone stays with him or her all the time, following each step."
"No, we stay here. Fenny can go with a few. Albus wants them, and he cannot have my babies. I want to see Abe. He has the right to know." Ari said. "Zech and the chosen by him will go with Fenny. Protectors also need to go along; he wants to kill Gellert's family, he is mad."
They went back, it was nearly dawn. They didn't come alone. The Helpers came along with Zech. They came as small dragons, some grey, others in different colors. The adults carried the pups, who were waking up from their deep sleep, slowly.
In the children's nursery, Fenrir, the wolf, slept on the children's large bed. He was dreaming of his mother. "My sweet, handsome boy, so much pain. I am here, wake up my Fenny."
Fenrir changed back into a human, smiling he opened his eyes, "I miss you so much, I love dreaming about you. Mommy, I love you, I wish you were back."
He heard his father chuckling, "It isn't a dream. The impossible is true."
Hermione and the other Pixies were waking up. They saw a blond lady looking at them. She came to kiss them and went back to Fenrir. Hermione recognized her.
Fenrir was sitting up, rubbing his eyes. He wanted to know if this were a dream. He saw three small dragons, eyeing the children. He recognized the Greys, the Greyback protectors. The Pixies were up, completely awake, the dogs had also woken up; it turned very loud. The dogs loved the dragons; they barked, inviting the dragons to jump on the bed... The bed was crowded, children, dogs, and Fenrir, who told the large dogs to get down.
"You are really here," Fenrir finally stood up and took his pregnant mother in his arms.
Hermione looked at the lady, "You were there when they were getting the pups when the bad people. I also saw you when the children robbers came to get us. You were asleep on a cot," she looked at the other Pixies who nodded. "You know, the last time when the black bunnies hid us." The Pixies agreed. It was craziness. The dragons also jumped on the bed, the children hugged them. Lear was grinning from ear to ear, watching the small Greyback, his heart bursting with happiness.
Fenrir was already wondering when black bunnies had hidden them? Even in the excitement, he worried about the naughty Pixies. He needed to talk to Lucius. His guard was always up, they had a penchant for finding trouble, just like he used to, or his sister Amelia did.
Donatus came and hugged Fenrir as well. "My dear, dear boy, what a joy to see you."
Fenrir was crying, "Father, you are also alive, I saw you, never mind." Fenrir had helped buried Donatus' body. A body that was created by someone, he was sure. Donatus was his other father, his mother's second consort.
Rattus heard the racket and woke up. His parents were staring at him, "You look like your father, so handsome; is Zaire here? Armin made it, he will want to see her." His mother caressed his face, and his father held his hand.
"Are you really here?" Rattus sounded very young.
In a matter of minutes, the fortress was alive. The pups whose parents were killed found grown-up brothers or sisters. They were no longer a pack of 160 plus wolves, but 40 wolves were back, plus the Grangers, Remus, and the unborn. Fenrir's mother was pregnant with twins, and there were five pregnant wolves. It was a day for celebration, a day of homecoming.
Hermione and the new pups were playing and running around. They changed back from pups into humans. Draco was having a fit, the male pups all competing for his Mimi's attention. Ari was in thrall with the little witches, but particularly with Evie. Lear, her husband, grinned. "She is younger you. I remember when I saw you first."
Donatus grinned, "We were breathless, and a little shocked, you were so very young."
Ari was suddenly quiet, "I am worried, now I know why Albus recognized her. He saw her by using magic. She was in a dark place where he kept Gellert. Albus wants to find her. I don't know what he wants to do with her."
Fenrir heard, "I will kill him first."
Gellert also heard, no, if anyone would kill Albus, it would be him.
One by one, the Grangers came, but for the new mommy, and Remus and Elly, they were still asleep. The Malfoy was introduced, Lucius couldn't believe it. When he saw the kids playing with the small dragons, he grinned. Lucius loved it when he heard what they were. He needed to talk to them, to ask them to control the Pixies; badly needed help had arrived. Fenrir caught Lucius' eyes, and he winked. They both thought alike.
Miss Delacour said she had a headache, forty new wolves made her uncomfortable. Hopefully, they would leave soon.
Many were quiet when two larger black dragons came into the room. Lear announced, "They are here to help find out who poisoned the mothers, and is sending information to who knows who."
A wolf nearly passed out, fearing for his/her life. It was time to lay low, knowing that death would be the easiest punishment. Why had he/she done it, he/she wasn't sure. Maybe it was best to come forward.
Rattus held on to his mother's hands, afraid if he let go, she would disappear. Margie, all forgotten for now. As for Zayre, she couldn't stop kissing her parents. Zayre knew Armin, he was an older wolf. He had known that she was the one for him, but she was a young pup. He was a high ranking wolf, wealthy, and handsome. Zayre, usually bitter, hard, and aggressive, was softer and shy. What a day, her parents were back, and she would have a mate.
Hermione and Evie loved Ari. They went back and forth to her. Ari sat by her Margie, her granddaughter, "You look like your mother, I miss my girl. Gellert, dear, I often dreamed she was alive with the children. I dreamed that they were with your brother. He was hiding, afraid Gellert would find them. My girl was not quite alive, she was sleep, not able to wake up. Have you looked for them?"
"I saw them, and they were dead, I miss them. It was all my fault for not stopping my worthless war." Gellert said.
"No, it is my brother's fault. Albus must be stopped. You must look, we will help." Ari was firm.
That was a day of celebration, the arrival of the lost ones, and Lucinda's birth. Jeanie was waking up when she had a surprise. She heard a mewl, a small furry body lay next to her. She could listen to party sounds. Grant was gone, so was Peter. A petite pregnant blond with cornflower blue eyes was petting a tiny wolf next to her. "What a beautiful pup," the stranger who looked like Elly said.
Hermione came into the room, followed by Draco and Harry. "Mommy, that is Uncle Fenny's mommy. Oh," she jumped in the bed along with Harry. "Lucinda is a pup, may I pick her up?" But before they got close, Lucinda was once again a baby.
"May I? I love the smell of pups." Ari grinned, showing her sharp canines. "I am Fenrir's mother." Jeanie already knew to look at Ari's familiar face. What had happened? She also rubbed her eyes, this was a dream.
"Grandma do you like my smell too?" Hermione asked, feeling a little jealous.
"Of course, my dear, you are also a young pup. I love all children. Come here, my Mimi."
Hermione hugged her and kissed her, then she sat on the bed to look at Lucinda. Maybe the pup would come back.
Harry was already by his mommy. "Mommy, we have flowers you didn't get. I love you. There are many new pups, they were asleep. I acided (decided), I want to be a pup. I'll tell uncle Fenny."
Jeanie dried tears that wouldn't stop coming, she saw Grant and Peter grinning. A small blond girl with very curly hair came in. "Arry, I was looking for you."
Ari smiled, "My daughter Amelia, she is Fenrir's sister."
Hermione looked at her, interested, "I am Mimi. Are you my cousin? Harry is my brother."
"I am Amelia, do you want to play?" Amelia asked. "I will show you the secret room."
Hermione liked Amelia on sight, a kindred soul. Ari looked worried, Amelia was the Master of mischief. Thank goodness they found her secret room, it had taken weeks. She was happy that Amelia wasn't asking for her older sister. The one who had not been saved. She suspected Amelia knew.
Amelia said, "Only girls, is a room for girls only."
Harry was okay with that, "Go, I stay with Mommy, maybe Lucinda will change again." At this, Hermione hesitated.
Draco had just come into the room with Frankie and Evie.
"Evie let's go with our cousin Amelia," Hermione invited her.
Draco and Frankie tried to follow, Amelia snarled, "Just female pups, we have a secret room without nasty male pups."
Draco was peeved, "Mimi is my fansee and asides, you are not a Pixie."
"Dear, my mommy, tells my daddy that she needs time with her friends, I do too," Hermione answered as a matter of fact.
With those words, they left. Ari and Jeanie laughed, and the men shook their heads, females. As soon as they left, Lucinda turned into a pup again. When Draco and Frankie saw it, they jumped on the bed to pet her, Hermione all forgotten. Ari sat to look at them. She held Jeanie's hand. "Thanks, darling, new life after all the, never mind. It is good, so very good. She is pure hope."
Draco asked petting Lucinda, "Can we take her for a little while? We will be careful."
It was a good thing they didn't need to answer because Lear came in, he saw Lucinda, ran to the bed, and sat to look at her. "Isn't she a beauty? Thanks, darling. Dear boys, she is too young, maybe later. Just stay and look at her."
Jeanie was still speechless, "Am I asleep?"
Harry answered, "Mommy, you are awake. I'll show, let me kiss you."
She smiled, "I must be."
Soon the room filled up with new and old faces. They heard there was a newborn. Jeanie couldn't wait to listen to what happened. When a small grey dragon jumped on the bed and sat by the children, Jeanie asked, "Can someone tell me what happened?" After a while, when Lucinda started fuzzing, the room emptied but for a few. The baby was diapered, and Jeanie fed her.
Harry stayed, another sister to protect, Lucinda had a lifetime protector. "Did I eat from my other mommy like this?"
"I am sure you did. I love you just as much as I love Lucinda, my only boy." She could see Harry's concern.
"I love you, I will take care of my sister, don't worry Mommy."
Jeanie knew it would be so, she loved her little boy so much.
Albus' Brother
Later that day, Aberforth Dumbledore had a visitor. After listening, he closed his pub and left with the cloaked visitor. He arrived inside a castle and walked into a big hall. They were having a big celebration. A man with wild curly hair, almost a giant, dressed like a king, was dancing with a petite blond. Abe had seen the hair before, long ago. He remembered the student, the sad young wizard.
The kingly man kissed his lady passionately, and many applauded, then passed the pregnant blond to another giant, who bent and kissed her as well. Many applauded again, much to Abe's surprise. They did the same a few times, so Abe deduced, the lady was in a triad.
When Hermione saw Abe, all hell broke loose, she screamed, terrified, "The bad Santa came to get us." Frankie, Harry, and Draco also were saying the same, and, "We are getting deader." They ran to the adults crying. Several giant wolves came towards him growling.
Then he saw Evie, a small replica of Ari changing into a blond pup. Before he could react, the petite blond said, "Stop it, he is not bad, he is my brother."
Aberforth asked, "Ari?" The room was spinning as he went down. He woke up on a couch, "It is you." Aberforth said. "I was right, you are a wolf, thank God, my dear," he held her, crying, "What happened? Why so long? I was right. I saw you leaving with, I guess, your husbands."
By the time his sister finished telling him, Abe's face was hard. "What do you want me to do. I wish you had come to me, I missed you so. My dear, dear girl, I was never the same, never."
"First, do you want to be young again? Do you want to stay with me? Let Albus think you are gone. We need to plan." Ari waited for her brother's answer.
It wasn't a hard decision. Abe Dumbledore had never wanted a wife, his heart ached too much. Now, he was given another chance.
The next day when Albus went look for his brother, he wasn't there. Later he received an owl that scared him and made him cry.
"You are not my brother. You killed our sister and her babies. You also killed her daughter and her children. I heard our niece begged you to look at her, and you let them kill her, pregnant with our grand babies. I was right, Ari was a wolf. The wolves are not the monsters you are. Who are you, killing pregnant females, children, killing your own sister, and Dumbledore babies? I hope to never see you again. If you keep looking for the little witch, you are as good as dead. I will do it personally. I won't let my nephew do it for me. Abe, D."
Albus' greatest fears had been realized, but instead of heeding his brother's warnings, he started plotting. He needed to find the blond angel. "She is mine, if there are more, I have the right. Gellert's seed, ha." He would call Moody, he was a good detective. The owl had changed into a shadow, it was Zech; he heard Albus' ruminations. Zech went back and alerted Fenrir. Thru the Silver Shadows' ring, Lucius contacted Moody, so he would go by the agreed place to get instructions.
At Azkaban, Dolohov waited for a response from his aunt Thalia Malfoy. He wanted out and was sure that Lucius had something to do with the angel. He knew because he also had a second nature, he was also like Lucius. Same as aunt Thalia and other Dolohov. Some believed they were related to real angels, and now was certain. He kept an eye on rabid Bellatrix. She was planning a big escape, and Lucius needed to know. Lucius hated Bella and should know. She kept saying that Lucius would pay and would take care of the little brat.
A/n let me hear from you.
