Part 15
-Leaf Village-
Satsuki glared at the small boy who had opened the door. Pushing the child aside she looked around the house for a certain pervert.
"Hey!"
Glaring at the stairs she stormed her way up them ignoring the child's outburst. Turning to the first door she saw, which was at the end of the hallway, she stomped over to the door.
Only to stop her approach when the scarf wearing brat jumped in her way glaring at her with his arms spread out wide.
"That's my grandfather's room! Who are you anyways chick? An enemy ninja?"
Rolling her eyes at him she turned around and headed in the other direction towards another door. She shoved past the kid when he tried to get in her way again and opened the door seeing a plainly normal looking room that had a monkey themed blanket and a picture of team seven framed on a desk.
He wasn't there.
Huffing in annoyance, Satsuki turned around to the child and picked him up by his scarf to her eye level.
"Where's Haru?" She demanded like she hadn't just entered his home without permission.
"Nii-chan isn't here you demon!" Konohamaru yelled out with fear clear on his face hoping she wouldn't hurt him.
Placing him down, Satsuki grimaced seeing this, she didn't mean to frighten him. "Hey Konohamaru right?"
Seeing him look up at her and nod, she put him down and asked, "Have you seen Haru? I've waited on him for five days now so I kinda went overboard."
Hearing her explain herself Konohamaru looked down and shook his head. He hasn't seen his dumb perverted brother in over three weeks now and it was beginning to irk him.
Who was he and his friends going to play ninja with now?
"Hey Mis," Konohamaru looked up to see the girl walking down the stairs, then through the front door.
"Wait!"
Satsuki stopped outside the house hearing the boy call out to her. Had he remembered something?
Closing the door behind him, Konohamaru ran up to the waiting girl and asked if she wanted to play ninja.
Sweat dropping she continued walking ignoring the fact that Konohamaru was following her. Sarutobi's must be an annoying clan since both brothers shared that same characteristic.

First was a training ground, with a small bridge edged off with a small forest littered with all sorts of ninja weapons. Konohamaru pocketed a kunai and followed right behind her.
Next was a small ramen stand called Ichiraku Ramen. Hearing her grunt in displeasure he followed after her once more.
The academy was next. There wasn't anyone there because it wasn't a school day, but there were children playing at the playground near it.
"What are you doing now Mis?"
"Still looking for your brother," she responded.
"Haru-nii doesn't really leave the house much, but maybe up there." Konohamaru stated, pointing at the stone face of his grandfather.
Smirking Satsuki bent down on one knee and said, "Get on."
Picking the small eight year old up she glanced high up at the Hokage Monument. That was going to be a trip.
Bursting into a sprint she jumped on the stand of a merchant, smirking at his shocked look and launched herself higher in the air on top of a building. She paused feeling Konohamaru shake, but saw that the kid was only holding in his laughter.
Laughing some herself, she continued her run for the Monument enjoying the feel of the wind against her face. Reaching the base of it she held on tighter to the laughing boy and ran up the stone vertically, smiling at his now screams.
She turned her head to the open sky and gazed at the beautiful view of her village. The hidden leaf truly did live up to its name. As all she saw past the walls were the beautiful green leaves of the countless trees.
Green like Haru's eyes.
Setting foot on the top of the Fourths stone head she glanced to her right and widened her eyes seeing a spiky white haired man sitting on the head of the Third. Setting down Konohamaru she made sure he was okay and then sat down and sighed.
Where was that perv?
Sneaking a peek at the man across from her she widened her eyes seeing him write in a leathery journal identical to Haru's. Jolting up, she cried out when Konohamaru jumped at her sudden movement and slipped off the head only to be caught by white hair?
Seeing the man's hair bring Konohamaru near his face she heard the boy yell, "Master Jiraiya is that you?" To which the man nodded and then turned to her smiling.
What was his sensei's grandson and the sister of the banished Itachi Uchiha doing high up here?
"Hey old man!"
Jiraiya felt his brow twitch as the pipsqueak wrestled and squirmed in his hair jutsu. Did he forget that he, the great and gallant Jiraiya saved him from an early death? Dumb kids.
"Have you seen my teammate, his brother Haru Sarutobi Lord Jiryaia?"
Smiling widely at being addressed properly for a ninja of his caliber he hopped up on one foot, smiled and struck a pose. "Nope, haven't seen the brat."
So this was about the Jinchuriki? He should've known it was about him, Haru Sarutobi, his Sensei's eldest grandson. And the boy he died sealing the Kyuubi into.
Placing Konohamaru back down near him he watched closely as the Uchiha sat back down and closed her eyes. Slowing her breathing and calming her rage. Was she even a Uchiha he slightly wondered seeing her meditate her mind and body?
Jiraiya enjoyed the awkward and weird company he now had on top of the Hokage Monument.
His sensei's rowdy youngest grandson and the Uchiha heiress who seemed to be in the process of realizing the bigger picture just like her brother before her. What a weird yet beautiful world.
The village below them and the bonds held within it.

She'd been so determined, spurred on by her desire to find Haru; to talk to him and ask where he's been.
Yet here she was sitting down with her cold parents eating a cold meal when she could be outside looking for him, the boy who besides Naruko and her sensei's could make her feel something warm.
Should she give up looking and just continue on without him? Or leave this table and go look for him?
"Satsuki you haven't touched your meal," Mikoto said looking at the plate and then to her daughter.
Silence.
She didn't feel like talking. She had better thoughts to focus on rather than her mother's obvious observation.
"Satsuki," Fugaku stated, anger clear in his voice.
Anger, that was the only emotion her father seemingly had. And for her motherit was a lack of emotion. If only Itachi hadn't left.
"This isn't about that demon brat is it?" Fugaku asked warningly.
Looking up from her plate with her Sharingan active Satsuki glared at her father tuning out her useless mother's gasp.
"Your father is right Satsuki. That boy is no good." Mikoto said slowly, further infuriating the girl.
God she hated the two of them and was genuinely surprised when she felt more hatred for the two when they bad-mouthed Haru. She hated this house.
"You know nothing about Haru or what kind of person he is," she growled out not backing down from her father's own glare.
"And you do Satsuki? Because I guarantee. You don't know anything about that boy," Fugaku countered, letting his eyes roam over his daughter's rapidly reddening face.
"I hate you."
It was a low whisper, but both Uchiha parents heard it. Neither reacted physically or did anything when she threw her plate at the wall shattering the plate and staining the wall with a red paste.
"If you're done with your tantrum Satsuki you should go to your room while I clean that up," Mikoto stated calmly, not bothered in the slightest bit by her daughter's anger.
Glaring at her mother she raised her head defiantly, daring her to do something. What would she, a civilian do to her? Nothing.
Slap.
She widened her eyes stunned that she actually hit her. She's never hit her or her brother before.
Itachi.
Raising her own hand in retaliation she bit her lip and forced her hand down, leaving her parents in the ruined dining room.
"Fugaku," Mikoto started.
"I'll deal with the Jinchuriki. He needs not cause more slander to our clan by getting close to our heir."

Naruko didn't question Satsuki when her dad called her down stairs and gestured to Satsuki who was standing at her front door. Smiling she turned back around waving for her rival to follow her.
Closing the door behind Satsuki she watched quietly as Satsuki layed down on her bed face first. Dropping her smile the blonde sighed and sat down next to her.
"Is it Haru that's got you this upset?" She asked, staring at Satsuki's black hair.
In truth, Haru's disappearance was troubling her too, but clearly not as much as it was her friend and rival. Why did he always have to go missing at the wrong times.
"No, my parents hate him. More than they hate my brother," Satsuki said with her face buried in Naruko's frog pillow.
What was up with her teammates and animals?
Honestly Naruko was only surprised by the fact that they disliked Haru more than Itachi Uchiha, the supposed kin slayer. Not that they didn't like him, she knew that Haru has never been well liked by most people.
That's why she left him behind for her other friends after all. They were friends now though and that was all that mattered. She hoped.
"I'm going to leave one day to spite them, maybe join Itachi," Satsuki said jokingly.
Smiling awkwardly, Naruko gulped. She didn't know what she'd do if Satsuki ever left. Haru seemed to always be gone too so she'd be lonely.
Jumping on top of Satsuki's back, Naruko traced her fingers through her black hair. "Let's do some girly things for once. Maybe meet up with Ino-chan and Hinata-chan tomorrow?"
Peeking up from the pillow she struggled after looking at Naruko's bright smile, washing away most but not all of her negative thoughts.
Naruko wasn't ready for the pillow that hit her square in the face and Satsuki holding another pillow threateningly.
Ooh it was on.
Minato smiled softly in his study hearing the two girls laughter and joyfull screaming. That was what he sacrificed so much for, his beautiful little girl.
