We had our next crisis management plan in mind - Pete Storm and I would go to Namor directly to make a diplomatic overture. If we could get the Atlantean prince to break the alliance with China...that would give us all the added leverage we needed. There was some time sensitivity though; Magneto and his allies were out there and might take advantage of this situation as well. We needed to attempt peacefully weakening the enemy wherever possible.

To expedite things for this I'd have the wonder plane beam us from A to B; we were going straight from Wakanda to Atlantis in the blink of an eye...

We appeared moments later in the air portion of the Atlantean realm...we were instantly surrounded by tons of Atlantean guards and their attack creatures. I remained in amazon armor for this. We were tempted to use our power but we held back with discipline.

A regal Atlantean woman stepped through the many undersea warriors present and demanded, "What do you want here?" As this was a mutant matter now Storm led the diplomatic angle on this. "I am Ororo Munroe. I am Storm among the X men. I am here to speak with your prince." The woman frowned a little but then raised a hand; the warriors lowered their weapons. "I am Dorma; royal adviser and cousin to the prince. You were not invited here; coming here like this was very dangerous." "Yes, we know, but the threat of world war is a very real possibility if this crisis continues to escalate without peaceful solution. We had to risk it."

Wonder plane bio scans of the Atlanteans confirmed that they were all amphibious mutants like the prince was. Thus the X men were the best qualified to relate to them.

Dorma that looked over me and Peter. "The prince will see you...but only if you come unarmed." "We have abilities that are not physical," said Storm. "Surrendering physical items alone won't matter in our case." Dorma sighed. "Very well; but you will be heavily guarded; and you will only speak to the prince through a protective shield." "Of course; we understand."

We were led to a massive chamber that had the water removed; this occurred too through the halls we traveled through to reach this chamber. Peter and I as gods didn't have respiration issues; Storm would.

We arrived; Namor was consulting other aides/commanders when we did. He saw us and dismissed them. Dorma stood near him and a force field was put up between us. "X men here?" he said. He made a thoughtful sound. "What is Xavier up to now?" "Only peace my prince," said Storm, bowing; Pete/I did so with her. "Storm; I've heard of you, but not these newcomers." "They are not mutants but are allies in peace as the X men are." "The mutant brotherhood would say peace is not the way." "It is." "Have you always been so sure of that Storm?" Storm sighed. "No; but the professor convinced me that it is the only way we'll all survive - human and mutant alike." "Mm." "...The brotherhood has contacted me..." "And?" "We are...considering all options at this point."

The situation had indeed grown even more complicated. This was still a Mandarin led matter to be sure, but a greater alliance of possible villainy had entered the fray as well. Now mutant militancy could factor in as well. And this was in addition to everything else that remained outstanding - Sobek terrorists, China and so on.

Namor then said, "But we've made no bigger decisions then what you already know about... There is room for talk." That's all we needed to know for now. "Lower the shield and let's talk more." His men, including Dorma, were reluctant to do that but they did so. Our diplomacy with Atlantis continued.
