After the break, I returned to Pokemon Shield and DT-Ace. I forgot to heal Dianah Prince before taking on Allister, but it didn't matter. I still began the floor-mopping.

Round one was Dianah Prince Versus Galarian Yamask. Diana ignored my first order. In turn, she got a Brutal Swing to the face. The same thing happened the second round, but the third led to success. Sadly, though, Wandering Spirit was given to Diana Prince before Yamask was knocked out. Nonetheless, we trucked on when Mimiku came out. The first turn I was ignored, but the second we managed to bust Mimiku's disguise. With Night Slash's PP running low, and the next attack on the third turn not quite taking out Mimikyu, I would have to be luckier than normal. Diana Prince disobeyed me again, and got slashed instead. The next turn, Mimikyu went for Hone Claws instead of Slash, so Diana Prince was safe from any attacks. Finally, Night Slash landed and Mimikyu was removed from the fight. Diana Prince stayed in when Cursola came out to fight, and on our first turn, since she still refused to listen to reason, she got cursed and put into the yellow. On the bright side, the turn afterwards resulted in a successful Night Slash, and Cursola left the field. The curse, however, did not, which meant we had MAYBE one shot to take out Gengar with Diana Prince. Keeping her in, I prepared NOT to dynamax, so that if she was taken out, I would still be able to do it on my next Pokemon. Gengar was sent out, and gigantamaxed, and Diana Prince… turned away. She wasted her one chance, and was taken out by Max Ooze. Well, ALMOST. She held out at one HP, but my hope fled as soon as I saw the curse come into effect. I sent in Octoling as her replacement, and prepared Max Mindstorm. As you may guess from everything that's happened in this tale so far, though, Octoling did not use Max Mindstorm, instead turning around (were there some fans behind her?). She then took a Max Ooze from Allister's Gengar. The final turn came, and I say that because, this time, Octoling DID use Max Mindstorm, and one shotted Gengar. Then Killer Frost leveled up. Nuts. But, with that, the fourth gym was completed, and the ghost badge was under our belt.

With a new badge, a new TM, and a new uniform at our disposal, we left the gym immediately, and were greeted by Sonia and Yamper. She told us about the mural at Stow-On-Side, and of the story it supposedly told. She invited us to come up and take a look at them, but, before we did, there was a shake. Sonia ran off to the ruins, and, after putting Glumbreon back in the front of my party, I followed after her. Turns out that Bede was up there, trying to use a Copperajah to destroy the mural and get some wishing stars for Chairman Rose. Now, obviously, I want to get a good look at the mural without a giant copper elephant in the way, and I would never pass up a chance to kick Bede's butt, so I immediately interfered. First came out Duosion, and, thankfully, it went for a Reflect instead of Endeavor. The second turn, it was one shotted with Dark Pulse. Hattrem followed suit, but Glumbreon began to loaf around, causing him to get hit with a Dazzling Gleam. The pain must have gotten his attention though, because the next turn we succeeded with another Dark Pulse attack. Ponyta came out third, but Glumbreon continued to loaf, taking Fairy Wind as a result. This didn't bother it, as it continued to ignore my orders, while Ponyta pulled off an Agility. With it now outspeeding us, it got off another Fairy Wind, but still nothing came from Glumbreon. A second Agility, but Bede paid for it when Dark Pulse once again struck. Gothorita finally took up the final spot of his team, and immediately, we knocked it out with a Dark Puse. Then Glumbreon leveled up again. Nuts.

The battle over, Bede started to ponder very angily and very frustrated, when Oleana and Chairman Rose, along with a few employees, ran up to the mural. Obviously, they were all mad at Bede for trying to tear down the mural, but Bede, like one of my Pokemon, pretended not to notice. He stopped retaliating, though, when Chairman Rose showed his disappointment by proceeding to pull him from the gym challenge. Shocked, Bede had all of the wishing stars he had obtained removed from his person, and was escorted away, along with Copperajah. Chairman Rose then somewhat apologized to us for the inconvenience before leaving. After this, Sonia gave me a history lesson on Bede before turning back to the mural, saying how she hoped it would survive.

It didn't.

Seconds later, the mural crumpled to pieces, revealing a statue of a pair of kings, plus Zacian and Zamazenta. After gazing at its magnificence and interpreting it's meaning, she handed us a pair of revives and I was on our way down to the Pokemon Center to heal up. At this point, with me headed towards the next town, I decided to give my final party member a try. Slit & Slice was his name, and he was a level 60 Bisharp. Super effective against fairy-type Pokemon. And he would help me work my way to Ballenela and the fight against Opal. But first, we had to get through Glimwood Tangle.

It wasn't that hard. I had found and memorized a route through the tangle on my previous plays that included ZERO trainer battles. With my bike, I was out of Glimwood Tangle in under a minute. With no encounters and no trouble along the way, I made my way to the Gym to challenge Opal.
