Her Touch

Jack and Kristoff headed back to Arendelle. They both decided to not search for any shadows, they were both too exhausted from catching baby snowmen. As they parted Jack went up to Elsa's private quarters and he caught Anna closing her door. She looked up and noticed he was there. "oh did you wanna see her? She's asleep right now." She asked, she had a little smirk on her face. "sure I'll see her, she can't see me." He said giving a small laugh.

Anna laughed too but she knew that it hurt him that Elsa couldn't see him. "thank you for the perfect day Jack." Anna said to him. Jack blushed. "your welcome Anna, but really it was all her," he said pointing at Elsa's door. Both smiled and Anna reached for a hug. Jack felt her warmth, he was happy to feel the touch of someone, and this was more special, because heisted Anna and she was his friend.

They broke their hug and as Jack went into Elsa's room he stopped and said, "Happy Birthday." "thanks Jack." She smiled and headed to her room yawning and skipping.

Jack entered Elsa's room, it was warm, and the candle flickered softly and made the room have a golden glow to it. He looked down at her face. She was breathing with her mouth open, her nose still looked slightly red. Her bed stand had a cup of water and an empty bowl of soup, and a handkerchief. He chuckled softly. '' you say the cold never bothered you." He said chuckling. "and yet it did."

He sat down at the edge and watched her chest move up and down from her deep breaths. "I wish you could believe in me…" he said softly. He reached out his hand as if to brush her hair out of her face. Unaware that he actually moved it away…

Jack's eyes grew wide. Moved his hand more and brushed her cheek. Elsa stirred a little. Jack quickly moved his hand away and stared at it with shock. He touched her, for the first time in a long time. Jack jumped for joy and could not express his emotions without squealing like a little girl.

I should go tell Grandpabbie! Jack thought and with that he bolted out her French doors that led to the balcony and jumped off. He flew as fast as he could to the rock trolls. The wind flowed fast and swift for Jack. He landed at his destination less than 15 minutes with a big grin on his face.

"Grandpabbie, I have great news! Where are you?" Jack asked and looked around.

He realized that there weren't any trolls, anywhere. Jack was puzzled. "Grandpabbie? Guys, what's going on?"

There wasn't anything around, it was dead quiet. Until Jack heard a small blast. A green mist shot straight towards Jack, but he then struck it quickly with frost. Jack stood defensively. Then a low rumble came around, shaking the ground. All the trolls showed themselves and, in the front, came grandpabbie.

"grandpabbie, what is goi—" "Jack we are so sorry, we thought… we couldn't see, we thought you were something else." Grandpabbie said. Jack now knew that something was wrong. "what happened?" Jack asked. Grandpabbie held his hand up to tell Jack to give him a minute and turned around to look at all the other trolls. "everyone please go back to hide and try to get some rest; I will sort this out with Jack Frost." All the trolls turned back into little round boulders and rolled back.

"Grandpabbie, tell me what happened." Jack was very concerned. Grandpabbie's face was very tired, it was obvious, and it looked as if he'd been injured. He had a limp and had to use support by using a walking stick.

"Jack, we tried our very best, but my magic wasn't strong enough," he paused and looked deeply into Jack's eyes. "they escaped, the fearlings." Jack was shocked. "how?" he asked.

They both walked to a small hut where Grandpabbie performs his magical arts, keeps books and manuscript, and the jars. Jack looked inside, there was glass shattered everywhere. There was even some silver substance on the ground, he bent down. "uh, that is our blood, the glass was to sharp and the fearlings are vicious." Jack looked back down, he couldn't look at grandpabbie, he was heartbroken. The trolls had been endangered and no one was here to protect them.

Jack turned to face grandpabbie. "this was not your fault, do not feel sorry that they escaped, you were hurt and I wasn't here, you are forgiven." Jack reassured the old troll. Grandpabbie gave a weak smile, and long deep breaths.

"but grandpabbie may I ask, I mean I thought the shadows were pretty secure in the jars, what happened." Jack asked. "well, someone found a fearing here, it was chasing one of our children, but it wasn't a fearling that we've seen before. But later I found in one of my books" grandpabbie pulled out an old book that looked like it was going to crumple to dust at any moment. The book was titled, 'End of the Golden Age' " it has all records of Pitch's doings, it's a magic book made by the lunar llamas, have you heard of them?" grandpabbie asked. Jack shook his head yes. In North's workshop there was a huge library and something jack read was the lunar llamas. They worked for Man in the Moon, they were holy monks, and had all the answers of the universe.

Grandpabbie continued. "the lamas have a copy themselves and every time pitch or any of his minions pillage and plunder, it is recorded, and a new page magically fits in." jack was in awe and looked down at the page the old troll opened up to.

TENDRILS. Jack had never heard of them, he looked at the picture, they looked almost like a wire, but to a plant. It spiraled and looped but at the very end of it was a hand. It grabbed whatever it could find. "grandpabbie, is this what came here?" Grandpabbie nodded. Jack looked around the troll village to take a closer look. The tendrils caused a lot of damage. Slash marks in the trees and holes in the ground, where it shot straight up. Jack was very worried, he never encountered a more threatening fearling before, this one in particular seemed strong, too strong.

"Jack I'm worried about Elsa and the Kingdom." Grandpabbie said. Jack had forgotten all about his revelation earlier with Elsa. Her soft hair in his hands. "grandpabbie I am worried also, but I believe we are making progress with Elsa, and her faith in me." Grandpabbie tilted his head confused. "I could touch her today!" the trolls eyes widened in disbelief. "well maybe there is hope after all!" he said. "you must go back immediately, we will be fine, come back soon though, we need to sort this out." Grandpabbie was very excited. This was great new for him after having a terrible night.

Jack rose off the ground and flew with wind to take him back to Arendelle.

But there was something glowing at the castle. A bright golden light, it almost seemed to familiar. Jack got to Elsa's balcony and saw a golden figure by her bed… Sandy?
