I flew to the white house without delay. I didn't go there bewildered or stunned. This was all part of the grand plan of demographic restructuring. Still, I needed to touch base on these pivotal developments.
"Ah, wonder woman, I anticipated your arrival," Lex said while looking out the oval office window with hands folded together behind him. "Surely you've detected the next stage?" "I have." He then turned to face me. "The first of the relocation executive orders are being issued as we speak. We will deal with the courts using existing law for now. Once that is done and we've made substantial progress removing the illegal aliens and others that shouldn't be here anyway we'll next go for all those that are citizens but in fact shouldn't be. This is where congress will come into play. They, together with the other branches of government will pass legislation revoking their citizenship and thus put into motion the legal measures and apparatus to have them all removed. Moreover, I am even willing to spend a good amount of my vast personal fortune to help see this done."
After leaving Lois I'd restored my armor; which showed where I stood on things; my helmet was under an arm. Lex took this into account. "You are ready for duty then?" "Yes mister president." He smiled. "Believe me when I saw this isn't how I wanted things to be; not really. I wanted power, yes; but not through anything like this." "I understand sir; brother is holding us all hostage." Lex scoffed a little. "Indeed he is...but he is the devil of our story isn't he?" "Yes sir." "And you are the savior...but you are indeed as powerless as the rest of us..." "Not actually powerless no. The throne of Olympus is sworn to me no matter what happens here. It is more for all of your sake that I do this."
He nodded set his hands down to his sides and walked over to me. "I...appreciate your restraint Diana; I really do. What good is power if there is no one under you to rule it with in the first place?" "Very true sir." "Well, your brother Hades has been doing his work to be sure behind the mortal curtain to make certain your brother's plans are taken to the next level. Our estimates put the superhuman resistance to be a minimal threat level now. That doesn't mean the mortal aspect won't still be there, but your brothers are leaving that for you to decide." I bowed my head. "I will do so mister president." "Good princess. Because our traditional mortal adversaries will no doubt try to take advantage of this crisis, as they would in any other similar situation. Many nations of the world are condemning us but that's all; for now." "I'll make sure they remember their place; it is the order of things."
Lex laughed. "I never thought we'd interact like this princess; I truly never did. You truly are remarkable. Of all superheroes you're the only one that can see in the shades of gray of how reality really works. I hope our alliance lasts for many years." I couldn't say the same, nor had he expected me to; but it was the reality nonetheless. I donned my helmet bowed and departed the white house for Gotham where my intervention was needed again. It wasn't coincidence; Gotham was already an infamous place; all brother had done was have Hecate put a stronger hellish energy over it to make it worse and thus require my more dramatic visual/flashy intervention. This would further convince the nation of stronger measures being needed to remove those that didn't belong here; Gotham was the proving ground for it now. And with Bats out of the way, and me being proclaimed his slayer, I could more readily go to town on the town that had the highest crime/disorder rates in US history. Brother was going to use LOA theatricality/deception to sell his national vision to the next level; and I was his key instrument to making it all happen. The surgical brutality would soon very much commence again...
