-Root Headquarters-
An expressionless man slammed a bleeding and hurt Haru against a wall not caring about the gasp of air the smaller boy expelled once his back collided with the wall. Rearing his fist back he punched him in the stomach and waited for something to happen, anything to happen.
He dropped the boy to the ground not looking back at his beaten 'opponent' but at his glaring master, Danzo.
"M'lord the boy hasn't shown any signs of letting even a shred of the Kyuubi's chakra out."
Danzo let his exposed eye roam over what was supposed to be his ultimate weapon, which would've increased the power of Konoha's Roots by an incredible margin. Instead, he saw a regular genin, with regular combat abilities and regular chakra.
Minato wasted his time. Twelve years of good behavior coupled with supporting the man. All down the drain due to this boy not being the Jinchuriki.
Walking past his minion Danzo chuckled when Haru's tired face was trickled with blood and a wind crescent smashed against the wall in front of him. In his hand was the head of the now decapitated Root ninja.
"It's just blood boy," Danzo stated, tossing the head right next to Haru who tried to get up away from the head only to be forced down by another Root ninja.
"Why me?" Haru whispered out accidentally looking in the dead eyes of the head. They were like Haku's in a way he noticed recognizing the similarities between the two pairs of eyes, unfortunately.
"Because you were but a tool to Minato Namikaze just as I was, young Sarutobi," Danzo confessed calmly while sending another blade of wind at the Root ninja. His actions, expressing his outrage rather than his words.
Danzo stood over the boy who was now stuck under the body of a dead man watched in cruel glee as he attempted to crawl out from beneath the bleeding man.
First, he'd break this youth then he'd go after that blasted Namikaze. He wasn't the only one hiding secrets. The combined threat of Orochimaru and I will be your downfall Yellow Flash. Too bad, it had to end like this.
He was a good Shinobi and Kage. Yet he would not be used and played with. The struggling boy's grandfather, a Kage for a whopping thirty years never thought of working with him but not against him either.
Minato would fall or feel true terror one way or another.
Danzo kicked the dead body off of Haru and stared down at him, his one visible eye telling the boy that this was far from over. Maybe he could cause a blood phobia like that useless Sannin. Maybe just sell him to Orochimaru as a product for a new body.
He could imagine the smile on his one-time ally's face. Joy for wearing the skin of his sensei's own blood and a perverse smile at torturing him.
"Sai, deliver this message to our Suna ambassadors. " We will happily join you in your pursuit of killing the Hokage."
"Hai,"
Haru couldn't believe what he had just heard. A planned assassination attempt on the Hokage Naruko's dad. Yeah, he had just said that it was the Hokage who put him in this situation, but he wouldn't and couldn't believe that.
Imagining the look on Naruko's face was enough to get him standing albeit with help. In his hand was a wooden staff that had grown from the Earth supporting his weight.
"Touch Naruko's dad and I'll kill you old man," Haru threatened.
Danzo, not thinking much of the wooden staff initially, gazed at the boy and smirked. Naruko Namikaze, Minato's one and only weakness besides from the village the two of them loved. He had to thank Haru and what better way than continuing their training.
Waving his arm he toned down the strength of his wind drastically and sent it soaring towards the boy who was standing on shaking legs holding his staff in front of him as a shield.
Pathetic.
He widened his eye when the wind crashed against the wooden staff and then dispersed sending Haru flying against the wall and the stick to the ground, undamaged.
What the?
Picking up the stick he expanded his eye further feeling Haru's chakra running all throughout it. He lobbed it to the ground in alarm when he saw a picture of a weeping Naruko flash in his mind.
Were those his feelings? His thoughts?
Grinning slowly until there was a massive smile on his face he laughed in satisfaction and awe. He didn't care that his men located within the shadows of the already dark room saw and heard him.
That was Mokuton (Wood Release)!
Shifting his eye to one of his soldiers he pointed towards the wooden staff and motioned for another one to bring him Haru, who was laying against the wall oblivious to the man's sinister smile.
Minato was a fool indeed, he now had the legendary power of the first Hokage and the key to fishing out the true Jinchuriki and controlling them. But how?
He wasn't a Senju, was he?
"Bring me a blood test of my newest pupil," Danzo ordered, to the man before taking back the chakra-made wooden staff.
Walking out of the door he frowned when a picture of Satsuki the Uchiha heiress was blushing cutely while clutching Haru. Ignoring the images that weren't his he closed his office door and gripped the staff tightly in happiness.
Where Orochimaru failed and accidentally gave Minato a Mokuton pretender. Minato sent him one wrapped in the promise of being a Biju holder. Jinchuriki he wasn't, but he seemed to be a natural-born Mokuton user, by how powerful and lively the chakra within the thin staff was.
This would be amusing.
Minato, Orochimaru, the masked man, Itachi, the Sannin, the Kage, everyone was now a possible target.

"So, how's your team Ino-chan?" Naruko interrogated, wondering how her two chums, Shikamaru and Chouji were doing.
"Terrible," Ino sighed, "They both never want to do the missions we are assigned. Always troublesome this, and I'm hungry, can I eat that."
Naruko and Satsuki both sweatdropped. And they thought they had it tough at first with Haru.
"How about you Hinata? Dog boy isn't getting arrogant now is he?" Satsuki asked, cracking her knuckles. She did still feel the urge to hit something after her argument with her parents. And who better than, dog boy?
Maybe Haru.
"K..iba is the same really," Hinata stuttered out.
"Hey, boss!"
The four girls turned around and saw Konohamaru running at them and halting in front of Satsuki.
"I was on my way to the academy when I saw this pink-haired pervert over there, muttering your name angrily," Konohamaru told his idol.
Satsuki scowled at the pinkette boy who was hiding behind a pole. Watching him stumble forward and pretend to not have been caught she patted Konohamaru on the head.
"Aren't you a tad bit late to the academy?" Satsuki questioned with a brow lifted.
"I think I'll be fine. Iruka sensei knows not to mess with me. I am the third's grandson after all," Konohamaru cockily declared with a roguish smile.
He yelped when the girl his brother always talks about hit him on the head and pointed out of the shop, telling him to leave.
"Nii-chan said that you were always late Naruko. Why can't I be late?"
Naruko blushed and turned her head away. It was true, she was often late to class and was never punished for it due to being the Hokages daughter and the top of the class.
"That was different. I was still at the top," she muttered bashfully.
"Hypocrite," Satsuki said, rolling her eyes.
"What was that bastard?" Naruko demanded. Her attitude, doing a whole one-eighty ready to and wanting to fight.
Satsuki didn't reply, she just let her eyes rest on Konohamaru's brown hair. She wasn't going to putter with the blonde's absurd pride right now. "Well now I'm being a hypocrite," she thought to herself.
"Who are you brat? And how does your Nii-chan know our whiskered blonde?" Ino teased, rubbing her shoulder against Naruko's.
Konohamaru snickered and brought both of his pinkies together and made a kissing face, only to be hit in the head by Naruko who swiftly put a stop to it.
"He's Haru's little brother Ino-chan," Satsuki said, pretending that she didn't see Ino's disgusted look.
"Have you found him yet Boss? My Nii-chan?"
Satsuki frowned. She didn't want Ino and especially Hinata knowing about their missing teammate's m.i.a status.
"No," she said, locking eyes with Naruko's blue eyes.
Hinata perked up at hearing that Haru was missing. That was strange because he didn't leave the house often. She was going to say something when Ino scoffed and shrugged uncaringly.
"Hey your that, jerk Hanabi's sister aren't cha? She's the worst," grumbled Konohamaru, kicking the dirt beneath his feet.
"Hey there girls, and Satsuki," Sakura announced, walking up to the girls pushing Konohamaru out of the way to the ground nonchalantly.
"Hey!"
Deadpanning, Ino slowly got up from her seat plucking Hinata who was next to her up and waved goodbye to the two girls of team seven. Gosh, she despised that big-headed Sakura.
"I'll see you during the chunin exam, this one's supposed to be the biggest one ever held here!"
"Satsuki! Let's go train!" Naruko yelled, slamming some Ryo down on the counter shaking her stacked pile of bowls and hopping down next to Konohamaru. She completely forgot about the Exam.
Satsuki smirked confidently and nodded, she would never turn down a chance to compete with the idiot. Picking up Konohamaru she said, "Let's drop him off to Iruka and then spar."
"See ya Sakura-kun!" Naruko yelled, waving over her shoulder while walking away with her teammate.
"Can't be creepy my boy," Teuchi said wisely, shaking his head at the now alone Sakura.
"Oi, get over here Sakura-chan these kunai aren't going to polish themselves!" Anko yelled in the street behind him juggling kunai behind him in front of a shocked crowd.
Sakura nodded and turned around to his sensei. Why was he the only one to get placed in an apprenticeship? He just wanted to talk to someone who wasn't too crazy.
Forcing a smile on his face he ran over to the cruel woman who he now called master.

Naruko lied down on the bridge that she, Satsuki and Haru first met on as a team. Her angsty Uchiha friend sat down next to her breathing heavily meditating.
"Who taught you how to do that?" Naruko probed.
"Itachi."
"Hey don't worry about that pervert Satsuki." She looked up at the stars in the night sky. "He'll show up just like last time."
"Yeah he will, won't he?"

An: Going to be fixing the chapter name's it's getting annoying to look at lol, it was only like that for convenience. Also, I regret making Sakura a guy, but couldn't get this one idea out of my head. The hint is Bisky from HxH.The dark and gloomy vibe will sorta be hanging around Haru for another two chapters. (I'm sorry lol) Stay safe guys.
