Time for Robin's POV (This isn't proofread but I wanted to post it before it got too late.)

As soon as Regina was out of the door Robin turned to Marian, he had so many questions and he didn't know where to start. Regina had said not to trust his girlfriend and as long as he had known her, she had never lied to him, the same couldn't be said for Marian, he had been aware of a couple of times where she had been deceitful. "Care to explain what all that was about?" he asked with a raised eyebrow, he needed answers and Regina wasn't going to be giving them, so it came to Marian to do so.

"She was tired that's all, she just wanted to go home and rest."

"I don't believe that," he shook his head. She seemed off, he'd seen her when she was tired and that wasn't how she acted, something had happened when they had gone downstairs alone. He thought it strange when Regina hadn't taken him up on his offer to go and get the drinks. She had been rather insistent that Marian join her, she had been acting weirdly when she came back upstairs from getting the pizza. "Something happened."

"Nothing happened Robin."

"I'm not stupid, something happened Marian. Tell me."

"It wasn't anything, we just had a small disagreement that's all."

"About what?"

"Robin it doesn't matter, just leave it already," she huffed, starting to ascend the stairs.

"Marian, I'm not just going to leave it, she seemed agitated and I want to know why. She's our friend, we shouldn't have just let her leave when she wasn't right," he argued, following her towards the bedroom. He wasn't done with the conversation yet, the answer she had given him wasn't satisfying enough to put his mind at ease.

"Oh god! You're always so concerned about Regina, Jesus Christ Robin. Anyone would think you loved the bitch."

At that Robin went quiet, stopping still in the doorway of the bedroom, he simply stared at her not knowing how to answer. He did love her, but he had no idea what to do with those feelings or how to manage them. Marian turned to look at him, her eyes narrowing as she observed him from afar.

"Robin?"

"Just tell me what you were arguing about."

"You didn't deny it."

"What?"

"I said that anyone would think you loved her and you didn't deny it. I thought you might have denied it straight away, but you didn't."

"I can't."

"You can't what?"

"I can't keep doing this anymore," he breathed. He didn't know what he was about to do but he was quickly losing control of himself, it was rash but he hoped that it would be the right decision. "I can't keep lying to myself, lying to you."

"Robin don't, don't do this," she shook her head, moving across the bedroom to take his hands, "don't do what I think you're about to do."

He had to, he hated that he was probably going to hurt Marian in the process but he had been living a lie for weeks and he couldn't do it anymore. He couldn't carry on this way when he wasn't in love with her anymore, when he was in love with someone else and that someone else had just left his house upset. "Marian, I think we have both known that this was coming for a while, we just don't work for each other anymore. We were good whilst we were good but I think we need to call time on…"

"Robin I'm pregnant!"

He stared at her for a moment, his eyes wide in shock at her admission. He didn't think he could have heard her right; he must have been imagining those words because that wasn't possible, she couldn't be. It was a cruel trick, something Marian had fabricated to make him stay with her. "That's not true. Why would you even say that?"

"I'm pregnant Robin, why do you think I've been sick the past months, it wasn't flu."

"So, you're saying you lied to me, you've been lying to me?" He felt deceived, as though she had been keeping something extremely important from him. Regina had said, she'd warned him that Marian was not to be trusted, he wondered if she had found out, maybe that was why she left, why they had been acting so strangely. "How is this even possible?"

"How do you think," she huffed, "we had sex, your sperm decided to cosy up to my eggs and them boom, a baby."

"It just… you've been on birth control, we were safe. It doesn't make sense."

"Well, it's happened Robin, shit like this happens."

"I need to sit down," he breathed, reaching out for the edge of the bed and lowering himself down. This was wrong, everything was so wrong, he was going to make it right, he had been so close to making everything right, to follow his heart and then this. What now? He couldn't leave now. She was carrying his child, their child. He didn't love her anymore but she was going to be the mother of his child and he needed to support her. God Regina. His heart hurt; it was beating so fast he thought it might leave his chest.

Regina wanted a family so badly, she wanted to be a mum; to have her own little brood of children to chase around and dress in cute little onesies. It had been a beautiful dream, the idea that the two of them might have a gorgeous family together. Was that going to happen now? Would she even want him after this? Could he even go to her when Marian was the one carrying his baby now? The baby that was supposed to be his and Regina's. It wasn't fair.

"Robin, I thought you would be glad, you've wanted a family for so long. I thought you would be happy that I'm giving you that."

"That's no reason to have a baby Marian, you have to want children yourself and you don't. How are you even pregnant?"

"As I said, shit happens, it was a mistake. We'll deal with it, together right?"

"I just… we always used protection and you were on birth control as well."

"I must have forgotten to take them or something. You will stay with me. Won't you Robin, you won't leave me. You can't leave me alone with this."

He closed his eyes and twiddled his fingers in his lap, she was right, he couldn't leave her alone. He was a man of honour and if she was pregnant with his child he couldn't just leave, even if he was in love with someone else. He felt sick, physically sick and he needed to get away, needed space to think, to not have her staring at him. "I'm just… I need to go grab a drink," he shook his head, standing from the bed and moving out of the room.

He headed into the kitchen and slipped onto one of the stools standing at the breakfast island. He rested his head against the cool marble as he tried to collect his thoughts. He was freaking out, this should be a happy time, he was going to be a father, that should be a good thing, but he couldn't think that way. He couldn't bring himself to be happy about it and it made him feel awful. Before he met Regina hearing this news would have been something he dreamt about, but he'd met her now and he was screwed. He was so stupid.

What was he going to do? How was he going to deal with it? People co-parented and weren't together, right? He was sure that there were plenty of people who did it that way, but how would Regina react? He was sure she wouldn't take it well; he couldn't imagine what he would do if he found out that she was pregnant with Daniel's baby. His head was pounding and everything inside him was screaming that it was wrong, this whole situation was completely wrong.

He sat back up and ran his hands over his face before looking around the kitchen. He really should get that drink, he took a glass from the cupboard and filled it with water before drinking it down in large gulps. He was about to refill his glass when a piece of ripped up paper on the floor caught his attention. Leaning down he picked up the pieces and placed them on the counter, staring at the words written on the page, his chest tightening as he did so, the glass dropping from his hand and shattering on the ground.

"Robin are you okay, what was… Robin?"

"What's this?" he asked, gesturing to the paper, a lump forming in his throat as he slid the leaflet over to her, just in case she wasn't aware of what he was referring to, but it was blatantly obvious by the look on her face that she knew exactly was it was.

"That isn't anything."

"It looks like something to me."

"Robin…"

"You were going to get rid of the baby?"

"Robin I can…"

"Were you going to get rid of our baby without even telling me about it?!" he asked in part rage, part despair. Would she have done something like that? Just gone behind his back and had an abortion without him even knowing the baby had ever existed?

"No, Robin it wasn't like that, it was just… I was scared okay; I didn't know what to do. I don't want to be a mother; I didn't want to be a mother."

"Well, which is it? Don't or didn't because there is a huge difference," he spat. He was angry at her, angry that she didn't have enough trust in him to tell him about this sooner. She didn't think she could confide in him and he had no idea where she had ever conceived that notion, he had been there for her throughout their relationship, she had been the sketchy one, not the other way around. Why didn't she think she could come to him with this?

"I don't know."

"Bullshit. You know if you want kids or not Marian. So, do you want kids or not?"

"I don't know! I already told you I don't know!"

"Fuck, Marian just be honest with me!"

"No! I don't, I never have! Is that what you wanted to hear?" Marian yelled, "I don't want children!"

"I swear you just keep trying to find new ways to hurt me," he breathed. She was messing with his head with her ever-changing thoughts. She was lying and deceiving and he had no idea what was truth and what was fiction. "Are you even pregnant or are you just doing this to fuck with me?"

"I was pregnant Robin, that wasn't a lie."

"Wait, was?"

"Yes, I took care of it."

"So, you aren't pregnant anymore?" he asked. Pain, betrayal and fury were some of the many emotions he was going through in that one moment. How could she be so deceitful? "Why did you… you said you were, you told me… I don't understand."

"I didn't want you to leave me."

"So, you thought you would lie to me? Trick me into thinking you were pregnant when secretly you already went and got rid of it without even talking to me first?! Marian how could you do this to me?! Why would you do this to me?"

"I'm sorry, Robin! Please don't…"

"Don't you even dare, don't even talk to me."

"Robin don't leave! Please, I'm sorry! I'm…"

"No. You're not sorry. Even if you were, saying sorry isn't going to cut it, Marian. I don't think I can ever forgive you for this." He needed out, he needed to get out of that house, away from her. He never wanted to see her again if he could help it, he couldn't bear to look at her knowing she had gone behind his back on something so important. If she had just told him about it, talked to him, let him know step by step what was going on, it would have been okay, he would have understood. The lying was just too much to take, it made it so much more painful.

"Robin where are you going?" she asked quietly.

"Anywhere away from here," he huffed, catching his foot on a shard of glass, but not stopping to tend to the wound which was dripping blood in his wake. He needed to grab some of his stuff, there was only one place he could think to go.

"You're going to her aren't you?" Marian breathed, appearing in the doorway of the bedroom.

"If by her you mean Regina, the woman who has been nothing but honest with me. Then yes, I think I probably will be going there."

"No."

"I'm going."

"Robin, no. Please don't go to her."

"Try stop me," he scoffed, grabbing his bag and storming past her and back down the stairs. A twinge of pain shooting through his food from the cut, he could hear Marian following him but he wasn't interested in hearing anything else from her. He couldn't trust a single word that came from her mouth. She was a liar and he didn't think he would ever be able to forgive her for what she had done.

"Robin, please! Please just hear me out. I need to tell you the reason I didn't tell you about the baby, please, just, please listen."

He stopped by the door, he really shouldn't be giving her the time of day, never mind the decency to hear her out, it would most likely be more drivel, more excuses. He couldn't stop himself from wanting to know what she was about to tell him though, so reluctantly he turned around to look at her. "Fine, you have two minutes and then I'm gone."

"Okay, thank you," she nodded. "There was a good reason I didn't tell you about the baby and it wasn't what you might think. It was nothing to do with me being selfish and not wanting to be a mother, which I don't but… the baby, it… it wasn't your baby Robin. I'm so sorry, I am but…"

"What? Who?"

"Daniel, it was an accident, I didn't mean for it to happen, it just… it was his baby, not yours and I didn't want to hurt you by telling you that."

"How could you have been sure?"

"I am sure it was his, I wouldn't do that to you, Robin. I didn't want to hurt you by telling you so I thought that getting rid of the baby was the best thing to do."

"Would you have told me if I hadn't told you we were done? Would you have just let me carry on thinking we were fine?" He shook his head, he didn't know what was worse, his whole world was crumbling at his feet. The woman he thought he had been in love with for years had hurt him, she clearly didn't give a shit about him. "You know what, I don't care. Don't even call me, why don't you go find Daniel, I'm sure he'll let you back into his bed."

"Robin, I ended things with Daniel."

"Ended things? Marian, we ended things with him when he did what he did to Regina."

"I know, that's what I meant."

He looked at her for a moment, really looked at her and that was when it hit him when everything began to click into place and make sense in his head. "You were already sleeping with him, weren't you? Before we decided to try the whole swinging thing. God, I really was such a stupid gullible idiot. I really need to get out of here, you know what I hope you're happy Marian. I wish you had just broken up with me instead of dragging me through all this shit."

"Robin I'm sorry, please we can sort this out…"

"We're over Marian. I'll be back for my stuff later." With that he left her stood in the kitchen and didn't look back, driving all the way to Regina's house.

When he arrived, the whole house was in darkness and he guessed that she wasn't in, either that or she was already sleeping which he doubted. He tried the door anyway, but there was no answer, so instead of leaving like any sane person might, he decided that he was going to wait for her to come back from wherever she was, he just hoped that she was going to be back that night.

He sat on the outside bench and stared up at the sky, it was beginning to get dark, the sun setting in the distance, giving off bright hues of colour. Oranges bled into reds and oranges, as the sun disappeared over the edge of the earth, giving way to the moon and stars, allowing them their time in the spotlight. It was beautiful really and he tried to allow himself to enjoy the sight, but he was still a whole mixture of emotions.

He sat there well until the sky was black, lit by bright dots and a crescent mood. He didn't know how long it had been exactly, but his thoughts had been running wild and he hadn't had the heart to leave just yet. He knew he should probably just call John or one of his mates to ask if he could bunk there, but he was still holding out hope that he'd be able to see Regina in person and talk to her.

"Robin?"

He looked up from the ground to see the woman from his thoughts walking up the drive with a rather surprised look on her face, she was wearing one of her powerful looking pantsuits and he couldn't help but wonder where she had been. He also really wanted to just pull her straight into his arms and never let her go. "You're back."

"How long have you been sat here?" she asked.

"A few hours, I guess. I just left and came here," he stated as he stood from the bench and ran a hand through his hair. He had been sat there for what seemed like forever, he didn't know how long he's been willing to wait for her, for all he knew she might not have even returned that night, she could have stayed with friends. He would've probably still stayed there, simply waiting for her to come back.

Regina shook her head and wrapped her arms around him, "I'm sorry."

"God, it's not your fault," he sighed, hugging her back, dropping his head into the crook of her neck as he tightened the embrace. It felt so right having her in his arms, somehow, she managed to take away some of his pain just by being there. "I can't believe I didn't see it sooner."

"Neither of us did," she murmured, tracing patterns on his back with her fingers.

"Where have you been?" he asked, pulling back to look at her, her eyes were red and puffy and he knew she'd been upset, it almost broke his heart to see her that way, "have you been crying?"

"A little, I confronted Daniel and he told me everything I needed to know, it was just hard hearing it, but I suppose it was even worse for you."

"I don't think it has even sunk in yet, I just feel like she betrayed me."

"She did, they both did. We were lied to for months."

"Yeah."

"Shall we go inside? I think we could both do with another drink and then a good sleep."

"Agreed."

"Come on," she sighed, threading her fingers through his as she unlocked the door and they slipped inside. Robin removed his shoes and hung his jacket on the coat rack. "What happened with Marian?" Regina asked as she made her way behind the bar, taking out a bottle of the strong stuff and grabbing a couple of glasses before heading into the sitting room with him hot on her heels. They sat together on the couch, their knees touching as they faced one another, both cradling a rather full glass of spirits.

"When you left, I asked her what happened, what she had said to you that made you want to leave. She said it wasn't anything, tried to tell me that you just argued. She accused me of being in love with you and always siding with you over her." At that, he watched as Regina downed the liquid in her glass and poured another. "After that I… I told her that I thought we were over, I knew I hadn't been feeling the same for a while, I'd been lying to myself about it. I was going to break up with her. Then she told me she was pregnant and that I couldn't leave."

"Robin, you do know…"

"About the abortion? Yeah, though she didn't tell me, I found the leaflet. The baby is already gone, she was just lying to try and get me to stay with her."

Regina gasped, her eyes widening as she looked at him in shock, "you're kidding me?! She already had the abortion? Behind you back?"

"Yeah, I confronted her and she confessed. Told me that she had an abortion because she knew it was Daniel's kids and she didn't want me to leave her."

"She's delusional," Regina huffed, placing her glass down on the coffee table and shuffling closer to him. "I'm so sorry she did that to you."

"I'm so sorry that Daniel did what he did to you too," Robin sighed, taking her hands in his, giving them a little squeeze as he shook his head. "We were both well and truly screwed over."

"That's for sure. Daniel told me how long they were cheating on us for, I don't think you want to know Robin."

"Just tell me."

"Ten months. They were fucking behind our backs for ten months."

"That's insane," Robin breathed, running a hand over his face. He didn't know how he hadn't realised that she had been distant. How had he missed that? Then again so had Regina, they had both been none the wiser whilst their other halves had been. "Daniel has no clue what he has lost, or how amazing you are."

"Ditto," she smiled, leaning in to brush her thumb across his cheek, stroking it gently. "She really is a stupid bitch for giving you up. She didn't know a good thing when she had it."

"I think we can agree that both our exes were delusional for letting us go," he grinned. Why was it that being around Regina could lift his mood so easily? Her mere presence made his heart beat faster, it probably had something to do with the fact that he had fallen for her. "Have you eaten?" he asked, changing the subject as he watched her, trying to work out her emotions, he wasn't sure what she was thinking.

"No, I left your place and called Daniel, I haven't had the time to eat."

"Yeah, I left that pizza untouched back in the bedroom," he groaned. He was hungry now, could feel his stomach complaining at him about its lack of contents. "How about Chinese food?"

"Do you even need to ask?" she grinned, "I'll go grab a menu." She stood from the couch and opened a drawer in the side table, taking out the item in question before passing it to him. "I'll have my usual."

"I think I remember what you have."

"If you don't, they are circled. I'm gonna go change into something more comfortable if you want to order."

"Sounds good," he nodded.

"Great."

He watched her leave the room and leant back against the couch. It felt strange like his whole life had uprooted and yet, everything felt right like this was supposed to be. He was supposed to be sat here on her couch ordering Chinese food for the two of them. They hadn't really been alone together since her mother's visit and he had been missing their time together, knowing what Marian had done made him even more grateful for Regina.

It wasn't long before she re-emerged, now fresh-faced and wearing the pyjamas he bought her from Target whilst she had been drunk. Her wild hair was slung up into a bun which was secured on the top of her head with a dark green velvet scrunchie. "Did you order?"

"Yep, I got everything you circled."

"Good, that means I have enough for tomorrow," Regina grinned, dropping back down beside him. "How are you holding up?"

"Surprisingly well, considering everything."

"Oh, you mean you're not going to have a meltdown like I did when I finished with Daniel?"

"I think the circumstances are a little different, but as of yet I think we are safe from any meltdowns which might occur." He chuckled, running his hand through his hair, "I know now that she didn't care about me if she had she wouldn't have done all that. If she had any respect for me at all she wouldn't have had an affair. The two of them deserve each other."

"And what about us, what do we deserve?"

"I think we deserve to be happy."

"Hmm," she bit down on her bottom lip as she shuffled a little closer, "I agree. I also think I might know what will make me happy."

"You do?"

"Yes, though maybe this is a little premature."

"Maybe," he sighed, his hand coming to rest on her waist, "though I don't know how much longer I can bear being apart."

She looked down at her lap for a moment before meeting his eyes once again. "Maybe we should wait, for sex I mean. We should hold off on sex and see what it's like to just be together, no pressure. When it feels right, then we move onto the next step."

He smiled at her and leant in, "you mean I can take you on a proper date? One that doesn't involve McDonald's?"

"Oh, I think I would like that very much."

"Well then, that's what we'll do. We'll start from the beginning, this time just the two of us."

"I'm looking forward to it," she grinned, leaning in to press a soft kiss against his lips just as the doorbell rang. "Though I don't suppose kissing is limited."

"Oh never."

"Good," she winked at him before standing from the couch to grab their food. Robin leaned back against the couch, what he thought might have been a day from hell had suddenly changed course, and despite the heartache, Daniel and Marian caused them both, he couldn't help but think they had done them a favour.

Have we seen the last of that troublesome twosome though? Who knows. ;)
