"Harriman, where is Commander Torres?" Brunet's voice asked suddenly. "I want to have a talk with him. Face to face."
"It sounds important," the technician remarked. "He went down to the laboratories."
"Ok. Thank you."
Brunet hung up but a few minutes later, Harriman noticed that the dots that corresponded to the guards on the real-time map were moving away from the barracks and the river.
Circumspect, he called Brunet back to know more about this.
"Why are the guards leaving their posts along the Rio Iris? Can you give the reasons behind this maneuver?"
"We found out who Bellamy's, Tian's and Turner's murderers are," Brunet told him. "One advice Harriman, stay out of this and don't leave the control room. Brunet, over."
All this agitation and the discovery of the murderers' identity greatly disturbed the liaison technician.
A few steps behind him, one of Torres' men, who had heard the discussion, activated his earpiece to promptly inform his commander about Brunet's arrival.
