Blame - Cyborg

While staring blankly at the ceiling immediately after the 'accident', Victor blames his father for everything. For his intelligence; his mother's death; his disfigurement; his current freakish state.

Later, Victor still blames his father, but he takes some of the blame onto himself too. The metallic teen understands that pulling away from his parents and moving towards the darker aspects of life may have caused his parents to experiment with things beyond their understanding.

Things he understood.

It took a very long time for Victor to understand that blaming himself was a by-product of growing up. And it took even longer for him to address the blame and forgive himself.

Forgiveness was never easy, but he had somehow managed to stumble across amazing people. People who wanted to share the blame, even though they had absolutely nothing to do with it.

So, Victor could - and did - continue to blame himself. But only for the parts he was actually responsible for.
