AN. A bit of change in pace. Set sometime in the future after certain events.
This was meant for Jumin week last year but uhhh... I couldn't finish all the prompts in time. This one though came to mind immediately after I saw it.
"You should take it into serious consideration. I am not extending this offer entirely for my own benefit if that is what you are concerned about, V."
"I find that hard to believe after everything that's happened, after all the pain I caused in the past." V replied quietly.
"No. I find it harder to believe that you're engaged to marry your accomplice, the same one who helped cause these past 'painful events'."
V winced at Jumin's blunt rebuttal. "You don't like to mince your words do you, my friend? You know Rika was just confused, right? She was worried and misinformed. She only agreed to do what she did because of me. She truly is a good person, Jumin."
"Hell is paved with good intentions. Most people always believe they are doing the 'right' thing for someone else's sake. It doesn't matter what kind of intentions you have for someone else, what matters is consent, and discussing it like the civilized adults we are supposed to be. If we fail in that endeavor, all we would have before us would be pain and chaos."
"Chaos, hm? Speaking of it. I'm surprised you don't find Ran herself to be chaotic."
"Oh yes, my love is definitely chaotic, though I am still trying to figure out if her alignment is leaning more towards neutral or good."
V was still trying to decipher Jumin's comment as they were entering his penthouse when he heard the scream and looked up.
Splat!
Something wet and slimy had plastered itself onto the side of V's face. He could only turn to look at Jumin's wide eyed expression.
A few moments passed before two very muddy faces appeared before them, with their white and blonde hair tied up into buns.
"Omigod! I am so sorry. I didn't know they sent us live octopus to eat. I thought they only sent us the mud!"
There was a small laugh. V turned to his side to see that, yes, it was definitely his childhood friend, Jumin, openly laughing at him.
"Omg, Min! This isn't funny! V's gunna get his face sucked off by the octopus!" Ran was definitely very flustered as she valiantly tried to pry off the slippery creature off his face. However, since she was panicked, and the creature was so slippery, she couldn't get a good grip on it. Thankfully Rika, the only calm one and who wasn't laughing at him, placed a towel over the creature and was finally able to remove it. Although… it doesn't explain why Rika and Ran's faces were smeared full of mud.
"If you don't mind me asking… Why exactly do you have mud on your faces…?"
V received two pairs of blinking eyes aimed at him before one of them, Rika, panicked and ran off to the restroom. Ran, however, rolled her eyes at him. "We're obviously practicing self care by doing mud masks. Zen and Trang went to the mud festival in Boryeong and decided to send some mud since it's good for the skin."
"You're using the actual mud…? Isn't that highly unhygienic…?" V eyed her skeptically.
"God made dirt, dirt don't hurt."
"…"
V was speechless.
Where in the world did that even come from?!
In his confusion, V didn't notice Ran was eyeing him strangely until he felt a vice like grip on his arm and he was being dragged further inside the penthouse.
"Wh-what are you doing?" V managed to stutter out with a hint of apprehension.
"Your skin looks like it needs a bit of TLC."
"I don't want to put any mud on my face…" V protested weakly.
"No worries!~ I noticed you have a few blackheads so I'm just going to use my hell-pore clean up mask on you."
…
"Your what?!"
A slight push in his back and V turned to see Jumin. "Don't fight it V. Do you not recall what you had told her not too long ago."
Resignation set in. "I said I would do anything to prove my sincerity for her to forgive me…"
"And how did my love reply to that?"
...
"She said I was now her slave for life, which meant an unlimited amount of requests and I was never allowed to make decisions that could negatively impact myself ever again…"
V could see the upturn of Jumin's lips indicating amusement at his situation-the smug asshole. "How could you be so satisfied with your lover making another man, who also happens to be your best friend, her slave?"
Jumin gave a slight shrug, "It's for a good cause."
In the end, all four of them wound up wearing cat headbands with various face masks.
V was full of complaints. At least that was what Ran kept saying.
"I wanted to use the same mask as Jumin..."
Ran rolled her eyes at V. "As I was saying... Jumin hasn't been getting enough sleep lately. The cucumber mask we made should help his skin and eyes with that. Whereas for you! You haven't been taking care of your skin lately! So many blackheads! You need to take better care of your face and body! Your face is your money maker! We live in beautiful skin Korea! You're going to make Rika look bad. You can't make my precious little sister look bad!"
….
"To think for a moment I thought you cared about me…" V said a bit dejectedly.
Rika patted him on the shoulder. "Don't worry V. Despite what Unni says, she really does care about you. She's really a tsundere."
"You! Take that back! I'm not a tsundere!" Ran was indignant at Rika's description of her.
Rika in turn had an exaggeratedly sad expression upon her face as she pouted cutely at Ran, "But… Unni… Don't you care about me…? You said I'm your precious little sister… And he's my fiancé…"
Ran looked slightly stunned as she tried to form words into coherrency, "You… You… fine… I do care about V… Even if he has a stupid face."
Rika grinned, wiping off the previously put upon sad expression. "I love you too, Unni~"
V shook his head as he smiled at their antics. Maybe Jumin was right. It wouldn't be so bad for the four of them to live together for a while.
However, that thought flew away when Ran ripped the mask off his face with glee.
"ARRRGGHHH!"
