Donatello's POV

I cringed as I heard the monster being dumped into his cell. Periodically, these Krang will storm his cell, shock him until he passes out, and leave. The sounds of their footsteps and his tail being dragged across the floor still echo in my mind. They would return hours later and the monster wouldn't be able to move for a while. A deafening silence would always follow.

"...what do they do to you?" I finally asked, looking at the ceiling. The monster stayed quiet, but I can hear his breathing.

"They… are trying to get something, from my mind and body," the monster replied, his breathing heavy. I nod to myself, knowing full well he can't see it. "Do not worry yourself, young turtle. I won't let them break me."

I stay quiet, unsure of what to say to him. I can try to provide some comfort, but I was close to losing hope myself. I don't have anything that'll help me get out of here, and I'm not strong enough to fight them. The silence stays until the krang return. I rise up, waiting for them to slide in my lunch, only for the door to slide open and reveal a group of them holding their laser guns. My eyes widened, and I gripped my arm instinctively. I can still feel the burn from the last time I was shot by that gun.

"What...what's going on?" I asked, my voice shaky. I took steps backwards in fear as they kept getting closer.

"The one known as Turtle boy will come with us," one said, walking close enough to grab my left arm and pull. I cry out, trying my hardest to kick and punch the robots. "It is time to run the tests."

Mikey's POV

"The Turtle Guys?" I repeated, kinda hoping I heard wrong. I didn't think we were famous enough for Raph and Leo to know, especially since Donnie and I don't stay long enough for people to remember us. I looked at Casey, hoping he knew what was going on, but he was glaring at Raph like he was one of those Krang things.

"How do you know about them?" he finally yelled, holding his arm out in front of me in protection. I would have appreciated the action if I wasn't so confused.

"Dude, I'm sure they have a reason! They aren't bad guys!" I paused and locked eyes with Leo. "Right?"

"Mikey, answer me honestly. Are you Captain Turtle?" he asked. I put a hand on my neck and laughed nervously.

"Yeah… but I'm not a very good Captain. I wonder if I should change my name," I replied, glancing at Casey again. He shook his head, taking his eyes off of the brothers for a second.

"Dude, you're an awesome captain," he said, shaking my shoulder a little. "Don't question yourself. Especially now."

"I...think we're getting off topic," Leo interrupted. His hands were now neatly folded on the table, watching the two of us with a disappointed look. Raph was now looking anywhere but at us, his hands clenched tightly. "Mikey, you have to tell us exactly what happened."

And I did. I told him how we went out a couple nights ago and found this flash drive. I told him about finding this warehouse filled with robot people. I told them about the box Donnie wanted me to grab, and, finally, I told them about how Donnie went missing. How he pushed me out the window, and took shots before being taken by them. By the end of the story, I was shaking and crying, Casey was looking at his lap, and both Raph and Leo were distraught. We were left in silence, and I was once again reliving the worst night of my life.

"...it's all my fault," I whispered, having finally stopped crying. My eyes were burning and red, but it didn't stop me from glaring at the table. "And I won't stop until I get my brother back. I just wish… I just wish that it was me instead. Donnie would've been smart enough to find me by now." More silence followed my words, but soon I was wrapped in multiple hugs.

"We'll find him Mikey," Leo said, his hug becoming much tighter. I felt the nods from Raph and Casey, and I couldn't stop the smile. I wasn't alone in this now.

"Hey Captain," Casey greeted, his hockey mask muffling his voice just slightly. I waved back, smiling brightly.

"Hey-o Metal Mask! You ready to get this super awesome-and-definitely-going-to-work search going?!" I replied, throwing a fist into the air in anticipation. We're finally going to find Donnie.

"Just waiting on Leo and Raph. What's taking them so long?" Casey said, looking over the rooftop edge with narrowed eyes. It was obvious that he didn't really trust them, but we needed all the help we could get.

"I dunno," I said, swinging my turtle-grapple in boredom. "Oh yeah! We HAVE to find names for them! If they're going to join the team, they need secret identities," I pointed out.

"Dude… that's an awesome idea! Oh, how about we call Raph something cool, like Killer or Rage?"

"Ooh! And we can call Leo something like River or… or…" I trailed off, watching two dark figures approach us from the other side of the rooftop. Casey jumped up and pointed his baseball bat at them. I held up my fists, ready for a fight as they kept getting closer.

"How 'bout you call us Red…"

"...And Blue."
