SHOCKING NEWS! YOUNG CORPORATE HEIR ADOPTS TWINS!
For the past few months C&R Corporation's Han Jumin has constantly been in the limelight within the business world, being credited for the immense and rapid growth of the already large corporation since its founding. It is tied to the correlation of the significant rise in C&R stock prices after many known foreign investors were found to have been in contact with the young businessman.
This has caused speculations to arise of Han Jumin possibly taking over the position of CEO early from his father, Han Chang-joon*, who is the current chairman of C&R's board of directors.
The rumors and speculations were met with public approval due to Han Jumin's clean image compared to his father's , who was awash with scandals of infidelities before he finally confirmed his separation from his current wife of 5 Jumin, due to his relation to his father, has been closely scrutinized for similar behavior.
However, contrary to his father's image and reputation, Han Jumin has personified the definition of diligence and integrity in his steadfast journey since graduating at the top of his class from an elite high school. The young chaebol had split his time working for C&R while attending INSEAD, known as "The Business School of the World", on an accelerated curriculum. As of the writing of this article, Han Jumin is still part of the GEMBA (Global Executive Master of Business Administration) programme, which will be completed before he turns 24*. This fact has caused many to hail the heir as the foremost exceptional person out of the elites within the country, if not the world.
In the past, Han Jumin had been under much controversy with his unorthodox business dealings as the director of foreign operations for C with many believing it was due to his young age as well as a role unfairly given to him by his father. However, after almost a year of the department being in his hands; the collaborations and dealings proved immensely profitable not only for C&R, but for the country as well. That year, after the marked increase in C&R stock, the country saw a trend of increased focus towards research and development with rising employment rates within the field.
The major turnaround brought Han Jumin praise, as he was solely accredited to the rising positive public opinion towards C&R after the steady decline since Chairman Han's first divorce. Due to the lack of personal scandals and driven focus towards the company, high expectations were placed onto the heir to develop the company.
However, there was sudden news from a C&R representative that Han Jumin had adopted twin boys! Before rumors of a possible scandal that the corporate heir had children out of wedlock, it was found the age difference between him and the boys were only by 5 years!
Reactions have been mixed, with various wild rumors to arise such as:
Just who are these boys Han Jumin adopted and gave his family name to?
Were they possibly hidden love children of the Chairman; and Han Jumin, the legitimate son, was using his good image and reputation to adopt them?
Does Han Jumin have a terminal illness and decided to mentor these boys to possibly take over his position as heir?
Did Han Jumin find out he was impotent and decided to adopt sons to maintain his position as heir?
Could the three of them possibly have an illicit relationship and he was adopting them to explain their time spent together?!
What could possibly be the truth for such a young man to adopt children who are already on the cusp of adulthood?!
Interviewer: Chairman. Your son has yet to organize a press conference regarding his adoption of boys who will essentially become adults after the end of this year.* What do you have to say towards the rumors?
Chairman Han: I find them all to be utterly ridiculous. I only have one child, and that is my son, Han Jumin. He is also perfectly healthy. The fact he decided to adopt my grandsons is due to his familial affection for them.
Interviewer: So you are acknowledging them as your grandsons? Do you even know where they came from?
Chairman Han: Yes, of course I acknowledge them as my grandsons. I support my son's decisions. I know for a fact my son has known these children for years now. He has been acting as an older brother to them since meeting their mother. Interviewer: Their mother? So these twins already have a mother? What kind of relationship does your son have with their mother? Is it a close relationship for him to decide to adopt them? Is she his secret girlfriend? She's definitely an older woman. How long have they been dating? Why is it they did not decide to simply get married?
Chairman Han: (sighs) My son has known their mother since he finished high school, they've been friends for years. I'm also personally acquainted with her. She's a lovely woman. Interviewer: Was she one of your past girlfriends?
Chairman Han: (frowns) No, my relationship with her has always been platonic.
~ding ding~
Chairman Han: (checks his cellphone and then smiles)
Interviewer: Is it possible to ask what is it that's making you smile, Chairman?
Chairman Han: (shakes his head in fond exasperation) My son is just informing me it was alright to disclose the fact they have been dating for a few months, but not her identity as she values her privacy.
Interviewer: (shook) ! ! ! ! !
HAN JUMIN, YOUNG ASPIRING FAMILY MAN!
Typically those in their 20s are busy with schooling, dating, having fun, or career advancement. For men they also have to consider the mandatory army conscription before the age of 28, therefore most don't think about marriage until after completing their service.
However, it seems the corporate heir is ahead of others within his generation. He is on the verge of completing his GEMBA with a solid standing within C&R. Despite the fact he has an insured position waiting for him, he has gone above and beyond by showcasing his innate skills and talents as a businessman while still being in his early 20s.
It was confirmed by his father in an interview that Han Jumin has in fact been dating for the past few months. The identity of the woman has yet to be revealed, as she prefers to keep her life private. However, it was established she is the mother of the twins Han Jumin recently decided to adopt, even giving them his family name.
For now, information on the boys adopted by Han Jumin is sparse; other than the fact they've had a familial bond for years. Han Chang-joon, C&R's chairman and Han Jumin's father, acknowledges them as his grandsons and supports his son's decision.
When asked why his son didn't choose to get married before bringing the boys into the Han family, the answer given was to protect and secure the boys' future should anything happen to either their mother or Han Jumin. As for marriage, it seems the relationship is still too new to reach the point of marriage, but it may be a point of contention for Han Jumin's lover rather than the man himself.
Considering the fast progression of his past achievements; perhaps we will soon be getting news of Han Jumin's nuptials.

AN.
Han Chang-joon: I gave Jumin's dad an actual name.
INSEAD: exists, it's a French school using the acronym for Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires. They have campuses in America, Singapore and France. I think one in China too.
Jumin is 24: This is going by Korean age. He's actually 23, at least according to international age. (Not yet his birthday this year yet.)
adults after the end of this year*: In Korea, everyone's birthday is on New Years. So let's say you're born 10/5. You come out a year old already. Then when the New Year hits you get older by another year, no exceptions, even if your birthday is 12/31. Technically, Saeyoung and Saeran are 17 at the moment (International age). Underage on all counts. Korean age they're 18, however in Korea you're not considered an adult until you're 19. That's when you can legally drink, smoke and vote.
*This is just a hypothetical guess! That people in South Korea don't think about marriage until their mid-30s. Based on k-dramas and the few articles I've read. Usually you don't see young people get married even after they've been dating/get together. There's usually a time skip of a few years before a marriage ever happens. At least for dramas set in modern times.
