Dimitri
I numbly stood outside the hospital staring at Tasha, trying to fight the lure of her. My brain wanted Tasha not Rose, while my heart was telling me that Rose my one and only. I could feel Rose tugging my arm, but I couldn't move, I couldn't stop looking at Tasha. I heard the car door slam and the sound of a car driving away but I still couldn't move, couldn't take my eyes off Tasha.
"She's leaving again and she's not coming back." Tasha purred as she walked closer, running a hand up my arm. I clenched my jaw, my only movement to acknowledge my discomfort. "You heard her on the phone." I did. Rose was going to leave. That's why she drove off. "We could go find Aly, find out where Rose will take her and we can keep her here. She won't bring here back to the humans." I nodded, well, I didn't, but my head did move in a sign of agreement.
We walked, side by side until we made it to my house. I unlocked the door and stepped inside, closing the door after Tasha walked in. I walked around my house, blindly. Trying to find my daughter. Trying to see if any of her clothes were gone, but her room was still unfinished, her clothes were still in boxes so it was very hard to tell if anything was missing. None of Rose's things were gone, but then again, when she left me last time, she didn't bring anything with her. Not even her phone.
You know that's not true.
I walked down to Tasha and found her sitting in the living room, leaning against the couch. She sighed and looked up at me when I walked in.
"We can still live here if you'd like. We just need to decorate like proper adults. No doubt there was a child's hand in this decorating and I'm not talking about the four-year-old." Tasha laughed and turned to me. I immediately started to laugh along with her.
"Where would she have taken her?"
"If not here, then the only place I could think off is her parents. She's mad at Lissa." Tasha clapped her hands and walked towards the door, waiting for me to open it for her before she walked out in front of me. I closed the door and locked it. Tasha decided to walk to Abe and Janine's.
"Rose isn't here." Abe responded after we made it to their house and knocked on the door. He closed the door; he doesn't invite us in.
It's because he can sense what's going on.
"Oh dear, where else would she be? She left so quickly!" We walked around, down side streets, walked on the main paths, crossed many roads until Tasha spotted Rose's car. "I told you!" She sang and ran towards the car. I followed.
Snap out of it.
Tasha was knocking on the door, former Queen, Tatiana opened the door with a smile.
"Hello Dimitri!" She said cheerfully and then looked at Tasha. "Natasha."
"Aren't you going to ask us in?" Tasha walked in before any response, but Tatiana stood blankly. I followed.
Come on Dimitri, snap out of it!
"We're looking for Aly. Dimitri wants to take her on a walk."
"Rose left her with me. Unless she tells me it's okay, then no."
"Oh really? But Dimitri is her father." Tasha gave a confused looked. "Where is she?" Tatiana blindly, blank as a wall led Tasha into the living room. Aly was sitting on the sofa.
"I don't want to go." She said crossing her arms. She paled.
You know why she's paling. Think.
"Oh, come on darling, we'll be a nice new family."
"I want my Mommy."
"Dimitri?" I walked over and scooped Aly up.
"Please, Daddy. I don't feel well." Tasha beckoned me to follow her.
"Just sit there for five minutes while we leave." Tatiana sank back into the sofa.
"Daddy, please. I don't like her."
You don't either. Come on! Snap out! Snap out, snap out snap out!
"Daddy!"
