And now, we continue with the fic:
Chapter 15: Divine Intervention.
-Location: Yang Island-
In the shadows of the inside of a dark castle, a lone figure meditated. For thousands of years, this was the only thing he could see: shadows. He was send here with his minions, and since then, he was planning his return. He was sure of his return. A plan that took thousands of years in the making...
…and now it seems like they could crumble.
"Impossible!" Exclaimed the shadow figure, as he could feel a powerful presence in this world. "Who could have summoned them in here?!"
He stood of his throne and walked to the window, looking at the island covered in shadows, and the dome of darkness that surrounded the island. He looked south, on the direction of the Temple of Water. Yes, he can feel it. This powerful presence was impossible to ignore. Only a divine creature could hold an aura this powerful.
"…a god has descended…"
-Location: ?-
Meanwhile in another castle, this one bathing in the light of the sun, another figure rest on his throne. Eyes closed, meditating on the events that were happening not only in his world, but in many others far away. However, when a powerful aura appearing in his world, all of his meditation concentrated on his world.
"This energy… there is no mistaken it…"
The old man, a powerful wizard, stood up from his throne and began to wald. As the old wizard walked towards the window, his right hand, Maha the Maha Vailo, kneeled, letting him pass besides him. As the old wizard looked at the medieval-like city outside the castle walls, he looked south east, to the Asgan Continent, where the Water Crystal rested. He felt the energy of the Crystal disappear, meaning it was destroyed a few hours ago, but now, a powerful energy emanated from that same direction. There was no mistaken. Only a divine creature could have that energy.
"…the gods have returned…"
-Location: Lake of Aqua, outside the Temple of Water-
There have been few the occasions where Exia, the voluptuous Dark Sorceress, have feel fear of any kind. For her whole life, only Lord Exus, when he was angry, were the times where she was afraid of something. Everything else, she faced them with no fear.
…however, this was one of the moments where something other than Exus provoked fear in her…no… it was more than that…
…she felt pure and absolute terror.
"Impossible!" Exclaimed Exia, backing away in the air. "That human summoned an Ancient God?! This can't be!"
-Music: Battle of God (Yu-Gi-Oh! Soundtrack)-
As lighting danced in the clouds, the large serpent-like being floated in the sky, causing awe in everyone.
The Sky Dragon, Osiris, has descended.
"That… that is Lord Osiris! One of the Ancient Gods!" Exclaimed Steve with surprise and shock.
All the heroes have ignored the Heartless, as they looked in awe at the giant being. Normally it would be suicide to ignore the thousands of Heartless around them… but then again, the Heartless attention were ALSO on the giant serpent in the sky, looking at it in confusion.
"Lord Osiris!" Exclaimed Sapphire, kneeling to show respect, as did Vivian and all the Kuribohs in the area, and even the King Kuriboh did so. "He has descended on this lands once again!"
"But how…?" Asked Kristal in awe. "Did he answer our prays and finally came to help us against the darkness?"
"No… he didn't come here on his own." Said Duncan, also in shock, causing Kristal and Steve to look at him. "…Alan used the card he got from Slaifaa and the Keyblade to summon him."
"What?!" Exclaimed Steve! "Alan summoned an Ancient God?! Impossible!"
"Yet it is the true! I saw how he used the Keyblade."
"No way…"
Meanwhile, Alan was amazed.
He did it… he summoned Osiris the Sky Dragon.
'Wow… so the Card Captor Sakura method was the one that worked… either that, or I need to use the KEYBLADE to summon him and didn't need the chant…oh well… say, isn't he BIGGER than the normal Osiris?'
Indeed, the Osiris he just summoned looked bigger than the normal Osiris, called Slifer, in the anime series… well, at least the one used in the duels. However, he DOES look as big as the Osiris that appears in the final arc of the Original Series, the Lost Memories Arc, in Ancient Egypt.
'I suppose… THAT is his true size, not the one used in the duels?'
Kuriboh, the one that followed them to the temple, slowly floated close to Alan, not removing their sight of the great god dragon in the sky.
"uh… meatbag, what did you do?" asked the Kuriboh that have followed them.
"Uh… I just summoned an Ancient Egyptian God to help us smite our enemies…" answered Alan, not removing his sight from the Sky Dragon.
"And you just said it like that? Like it was very easy?"
"Oh no, believe me… I am EXTREMELY surprised this worked."
"…you think he is on our side?"
"I… hope so. I mean I summoned him… just hope is not one of those creatures that EAT the summoner."
It was then that everyone saw how Osiris moved his head, looking everywhere, before looking down, where Alan and Kuriboh were. He then approached them, confusing and terrifying both.
"So… what now, meatbag?" Asked the Kuriboh in fear.
"Eh… I don't know…"
"What do you mean 'you don't know'?! You summoned an Ancient God in here!"
"I know! I just don't know what to do with him! Should I give him orders?"
"A human? Giving orders to an ANCIENT GOD?! Madness!"
Alan looked at the giant serpent dragon god over him, not knowing what to do.
"Uh… Osiris… we need your help…"
Meanwhile, Exia and the Invader of Darkness looked at this with shock and confusion.
"So a human summoned an Ancient God in here? Madness!"
"I saw him with my own eyes!" Exclaimed Exia in anger and shock. "He did! He used his Keyblade to do so!"
"The Ancient Gods, the ones who can destroy the darkness of this world… they are a menace to the darkness!"
"Oh quit it with the darkness bullshit! I know you it is our tool."
"No! The darkness is absolute! I will help spread it towards this and other worlds! I don't care if he's an Ancient God! The Power of Darkness will reign supreme!" Exclaimed the Invader of Darkness, before starting to charge a large sphere of dark energy in his hands. "TAKE THIS!"
"NO, YOU FOOL!"
Exia's warning came late, as the Invader of Darkness released his attack. A giant orb of darkness flew fast towards Osiris, who saw it coming faced towards it, before it hit him in the face. Everyone looked in shock, as the explosion cover the face of the Ancient God, wondering if it was effective or not.
They saw how Osiris reeled back because of the surprise attack, but after the smoke cleared, he remained unmovable… and looked back at the Invader of Darkness with anger.
-Music: God's Anger (Yu-Gi-Oh! Soundtrack)-
"Impossible! It did nothing?!" Asked the Invader of Darkness with surprise.
"You idiot!" Exclaimed Exia, floating on his side. "Your powers are nothing against an Ancient God! That's why Lord Exus was seeking their powers!"
After the attack, Osiris looked at the Invader of Darkness… and then roared at him. His roar was extremely loud, forcing everyone to cover their ears, and even the Heartless began to shake because of it, as the roar of the Egyptian God shook the land around them.
'Damn! It's like hearing Godzilla's roar from close!' Though Alan, covering his ears to reduce the pain.
After a few seconds, that for everyone felt like an eternity, Osiris stop roaring, and instead, began charging energy and lighting in his mouth, an attack that Alan knew very well.
"Thunder Force! Everyone, get down!"
Just when Alan said that, Osiris released a powerful blast of lightning energy from his mouth, and it traveled fast, destroying any flying Heartless in its way, before reaching the Invader of Darkness. The Dark being raised an energy shield around his body… but it was useless, as the energy wave of Osiris impacted in the shield and, two seconds later, it destroyed it, engulfing the Invader of Darkness, who screamed in agony before being disintegrated by the energy. Exia, who was just besides him, created a shield of her own and managed to get out of the way, very close to being engulfed by the attack.
After consuming the Invader of Darkness, Osiris' attack still have so much strength, so it flew several miles, before striking a mountain far away from them… and the mountain explode on impact, creating a large explosion, one that no one in Shadow Realm have ever seen before.
… only Alan have seen something similar, in videos on his world, of an explosion of similar proportions: a nuclear blast. And the mushroom-like cloud that it created after a while confirmed it that this blast was similar to a nuclear explosion.
…but then again, seeing as the whole mountain was vaporized, this was WAY bigger than a normal nuclear explosion.
'Holy shit!' though Alan with surprise. 'That blast was WAY stronger than anything in the series! So in reality, this is the true power of an Egyptian God? Or they are way stronger than their Anime Counterparts?'
To say that everyone in the battlefield that wasn't a Heartless was surprised was stating the obvious. Many fell on their knees because of the size of the explosion, as they have never seen anything like that. For them, they just saw the power of a god.
"The mountain… is gone!" Exclaimed Steve in shock.
"I never though a god would be this strong." Commented Vivian, not removing her eyes to where that mountain, several miles away, was before.
They weren't the only ones. Exia, in the air, didn't removed her eyes to where the mountain was. Her face showed pure terror something that she never felt before.
"Impossible!" Exclaimed Exia with surprise. "So… this is the power of an Ancient God. I see why Lord Exus wanted it."
She couldn't believe it. The power of an Ancient God was absurd! She wouldn't be able to match it, no matter how much she trained. He will pose a large treat to the release of Lord Exus from his confinement.
…and to think the human summoned him…
With anger and fear, Exia turned around, to look at the battlefield, and pushed her hand forward.
"Heartless! Destroy the human!" Exclaimed the Sorceress, calling everyone's attention. "If he can summon the Ancient God Osiris, he'll be a treat to our Lord Exus! Go! Destroy him! Tear his heart apart!"
The Heartless shook their fears and all began marching against Alan, ignoring everyone in the battlefield.
"Oh no! They all are going against Alan!" Exclaimed Duncan, who was far away from the mentioned.
Everyone was separated from him. Only the Kuriboh and a couple of more Kuribohs were around him, and soon formed a circle around him to protect him and themselves. But if the whole army of Heartless was marching against them… it would be of no use.
Alan looked in shock as the army of Heartless jumped towards him, and it looked like a wave of darkness was about to wash them over. Neither him with the Chaos Keyblade, nor any of the Kuribohs that decided to protect him, could do anything against them. It was their end…
… if several lightning strikes didn't hit all around them, eradicating all the Heartless that were about to attack them, while the ones behind just stopped in shock.
"What the-?!" Asked the Kuriboh, before looking up… and seeing how Lord Osiris was looking down at them, one of his mouth open, while some lightning danced around his teeth. "Did he just puke lighting and saved us?"
"Well, he is a god, so… yeah?" Answered Alan, not so sure of what happened.
They keep like that for a few seconds, and all this time, Osiris was looking at them… actually, it was looking at Alan specifically.
'Is he… is he looking at me? Why?'
'He is waiting for an order.'
Alan open his eyes with surprise. That voice… he hasn't heard that voice in weeks!
'Chaos?! Are you awake?!'
'You think the yelling of that dragon wouldn't wake me up? Its roar shook the hearts of everyone in here, and in your case, it woke me up. As did the spirit of your world.'
'Earth-chan is awake?!'
'For a few seconds, but she went back to sleep, as I will in a few moments. Osiris is waiting for your orders. You summoned him.'
'Well… I did…'
'Then what are you waiting for? Order him something, before you run out of energy.'
'Wait what?!'
'You think you summoned him with nothing? He is using YOUR energy to be able to appear in this world. You have 30 seconds of energy before he goes back to his card… so DO SOMETHING, HUMAN!'
Just as he heard that, Alan felt the conscience of Chaos going back to sleep. Chaos words actually making remember his conversation with Reed, and how he said he was being controlled by Chaos. Is he right?
'Oh yeah, 25 seconds… I don't have time to think of this. Also… if I'm ordering an Egyptian God… I have to do it the RIGHT way.'
And so, Alan looked back at Osiris, before smiling, and turned around… dramatically.
"Go, Osiris the Sky Dragon!" Exclaimed Alan, dramatically posing and pushing his arm forwards. "Destroy all the Heartless with your divine lighting, and dispel the darkness with them!"
To everyone's surprise, Osiris began to move, and it extended his wings as it began charging electricity around his body, causing everyone to stand back in surprise. With a powerful roar, Osiris discharged all of his lightning… in the clouds, that were filled with energy… and then, began discharging powerful lightning bolts into the ground, striking groups of Heartless and destroying them.
Everyone was in shock, as the number of Heartless began diminishing rapidly. It was like they were inside a giant storm, with lighting strikes impacting all around them. However, only the Heartless were targeted, and none of the mortals were damaged.
Exia saw this and knew it was bad, as all the Heartless they had, were being destroyed. She was about to order a retreat… when one of those lightings impacted her shield and destroyed it, leaving her vulnerable to the next lighting strike that was approaching her. She was defenseless, and that lighting will severely damage her…
-Music end-
…if it wasn't of the shadow figure that emerged from a portal in front of her, and created a spell circle over his hands and deflected the lighting strike, that ended hitting another group of Heartless.
When that figure appeared, Osiris stopped his attack and looked at it intensely. Everyone also looked at the figure and felt something… off… and dark…
…VERY dark.
The figure was of a man, probably 1.86 mts tall (6'1''), and somewhat thin figure, covered in darkness that look like flames. One can see the outline of his body, as he looked at the Ancient God Osiris, who looked like he was about to charge at him. No one knew why they felt that way…
…until Exia spoke.
"Lord Exus!" Exclaimed Exia with surprise and joy. "You came to save me!"
-Music: Golbez, Clad in Dark (Final Fantasy IV DS Soundtrack)-
Everyone looked at the shadow figure in shock.
HE was Exus?!
Sure, they felt incredible darkness, but compared to Exia's, his presence wasn't as big as they would have believed. However, Duncan knew the answer.
'He… he is suppressing his energy.'
He was the only one who could felt it in time: when that figure appeared and blocked the lightning, he released all of his power, and Duncan managed to detect it. Immediately he suppressed his energy, and that is why everyone felt something was odd: they couldn't understand the rapid change in power. However, there was one thing they could understand.
…fear.
Fear of having EXUS HIMSELF in front of them. The man that almost destroyed the world. The one who they were fighting so hard to stop… is in front of them.
"Return to the castle, Exia…" Expressed the shadow figure, not removing his sight from the Sky Dragon. "Facing the Ancient God Osiris is foolish, as not even I have the power to face even one of them... yet. I still need you, so return to the castle, immediately!"
"Y-Yes, Lord Exus!" Exclaimed Exia, turning to look at the rest of the Heartless. "Everyone, retreat to the island!"
And so, the remaining Heartless, which were still several thousands, sank into the ground, and disappeared. As Exia entered the portal, the shadow figure that represents Exus look at the group and the Kuriboh soldiers, and smiled.
"Even thousands of years after my time, I see people still try to oppose me." Exclaimed the shadow figure. "Thanks to the destruction of the fourth crystal, I can project my image in here, and display some of my power. However, you are lucky, as in this form, I can't do anything against you… other than posing menacingly."
He probably didn't knew, or maybe he did, but his presence by itself was menacingly enough, as everyone were shaking in fear. They couldn't feel his suppressed energy, but something was telling them that they SHOULD be afraid.
Then, Exus himself looked at Alan… and the moment his eyes made contact, Alan felt a fear he has never felt. It was like he was looking at a giant monster, who only wanted to kill him, to devour him, and that he will not waste any time to do so. He needed all of his will power to simply not fall on his knees.
"And you, human." Said the shadow figure, smiling, pointing a finger at him. "You are more… interesting that I though you would be. Summoning an Ancient God? Intriguing. But don't think even the God Osiris will save you. Once the other 2 remaining Crystals are destroyed, I will seek you and take the Chaos Keyblade and the card of Osiris from you, and with them I will rule this world!"
And after saying that, the shadow figure entered the portal and disappeared, that feeling of uneasiness disappearing with him. At the same time, Osiris began disappearing too, its energy returning to the card that summoned him, and Alan felt the lack of energy, as he fell on the ground.
-Music end-
After that, the atmosphere returned to normal, as the group began to look for each other, and the Kuriboh army tried to see how many have died on their side.
"So… we survived…" said Kristal, looking around her, looking at everyone. "Then why it doesn't feel like a victory?"
"Because it wasn't." Answered Duncan, sitting on a rock, visibly tired. "We were outmatched. If it wasn't for Lord Osiris, we will be dead."
"Besides…" Started Vivian, looking down in sadness. "The Water Crystal is gone now. With it, the waters of this planet will soon be corrupted by darkness and finally dry up."
"So… we lost now." Commented Steve, obviously crestfallen.
"No…"
Everyone looked at Alan, who slowly got up from the floor, his legs shaking a little, but still managed to stand up.
"We survived, so this isn't the end." Said the human, looking at each other. "As long as we live, we can continue fighting. There are still 2 other Crystals, right? Then Exus wouldn't be able to get out. We need to continue."
"But Alan…" Started Steve. "The waters of this planet will turn poisonous for us. We'll eventually die up."
"No, there is still hope." Expressed Sapphire, causing everyone to look at her. "There is still hope for the crystals."
"How?" Asked Kristal with confusion.
"Is a power we Sages possess: we can rebuild a Crystal."
Everyone looked at her surprised.
"You can do that?" Asked Duncan with confusion and intrigue. Sapphire nodded, but smiled sadly.
"Kind of." Said the Maiden of the Aqua. "We Sages can't rebuild a Crystal back to its full glory. However, we can plant a 'seed' in its place, and it will slowly grow into a full blown Crystal."
"Really? I didn't know that!" expressed Vivian with surprise.
"Yeah, is one of our jobs as Sages. Is a special ability left by the Golden Warriors of old, to rebuild the crystals in case they are broken. The problem is that it will take time."
"How much time?"
"Normally a couple of months to a year… but, because of all the darkness in the world, it will take way more time. Probably a decade."
"So you are saying…" started Alan, looking at the Sage of Water. "If we beat Exus and the Heartless in this world, the Crystals will grow faster?"
"Exactly. So we can't lost hope yet."
"Hold on!" Started Steve, before looking at the Harpie Girl on his side. "Vivian, did you know about this?"
"No, I didn't knew I could do something like that." Said the Harpie Girl.
"So that means the Wind Temple doesn't have a Crystal seed."
"Neither the Lightning and Ice ones." Commented Duncan.
"So… what do we do now?"
"First let's plant the seed of the new Crystal, then we'll return to the Kuriboh Village and we'll think what to do once there."
"Alright, then follow me." Exclaimed Sapphire, before walking back into the hole that connected to the temple below.
-Music: Prelude (Final Fantasy I Soundtrack)-
The group followed her and soon arrived at the Crystal room, while the rest of the Kuribohs were standing guard on the island above. In the room, Sapphire took a couple of the Crystal shards from the floor, and placed them in the pedestal where the Crystal was. However, she kept one relatively large shard for herself.
"Vivian, look closely." Expressed Duncan, the young Harpie Girl nodded. "You'll have to do something similar."
"Yes." Said Vivian, looking closely to anything Sapphire was doing. The Sage of Water looked at everyone.
"Alright. First, you need some shards of the old Crystal and place them where it once resided." Expressed Sapphire, while taking a shard for herself and turning it into a pendant. "However, you need to take one shard for yourself."
"Why is that?" Asked Alan.
"Is because that way you will be connected with the Crystal Seed. This connection will be used, as I need to pour my energy in the shard so it feeds the Crystal Seed, so it can grow."
"And it won't affect you?"
"Unless I pour even my life energy, no. I will only be extremely tired doing so. It will require almost all of my daily aura to grow."
"So you'll be vulnerable to attacks." Expressed Duncan, crossing his arms.
"That is right, but I have no choice."
"Don't worry, we'll protect you."
"Thanks, I know you will." Said Sapphire, before looking at the shards on the pedestal. "Now then…"
Sapphire began to recite an unknown spell in an unknown language, as her aura began to flare intensely. The shards in the pedestal started to vibrate and shine in an intense blue light, and after a few seconds, a new small crystal was born from in between the shards. It was probably 10 centimeters (3.9 in) in tall, and it looked like a replica of the original crystal, but way smaller.
"Wait, that was it? I thought it would be longer." Commented Steve in confusion.
"Yeah, that is it." Said Sapphire, looking at her companions. "Still, is not as easy as you think. The spell requires the use of an unknown language, and that I need to have the Sage Aura to do so. Only Vivian could do that."
"Wait, you said that was an unknown language?" Asked Alan with confusion.
"Yes, Sir Alan. Why you ask?"
"Because I'm almost sure that was Japanese."
"…what is Japanese?" Asked Kristal, looking at the human on her side.
"Is a language on my world, spoken by the nation of Japan."
"Wait… in your world, you don't have a unified language?"
"Nope, we have like thousands of them, although there are like 7 or 8 main ones? I don't know, but what Sapphire said kind of sounded like Japanese, or something similar."
"That's curious." Said Duncan, before looking at Sapphire. "So… is it done?"
"Yes, it is." Answered the Maiden of Aqua. "It's small, but it can create a shield around itself to protect from darkness. However, since it's so small, it won't be able to purify the waters of the world, until it grows up. It also won't work as a substitute of Exus' seal."
"Really? Why is that?" Asked the Kuriboh in confusion.
"That's easy." Started Duncan. "Because this Crystal wasn't used to seal Exus. This is a different Crystal, so it makes sense it won't work to reinforce the seal UNLESS we reseal Exus with it."
"Ah, I see. Makes sense."
"Unfortunately…" Started Sapphire. "…like I said, the Crystal won't grow that much because the darkness in this world is huge. We need to stop Exus from getting free."
"Well, there is hope." Said Alan, looking at everyone. "At least we have a way to regrow new Elemental Crystals. Plus, now that I have the Osiris Card and know how to use it, it will be easier."
"Oh yeah, that reminds me." Started Steve, before looking at Alan with extreme surprise. "HOW THE HELL WERE YOU ABLE TO SUMMON LORD OSIRIS?!"
Everyone looked at Alan with confusion, surprise, and admiration.
"You are AMAZING, Sir Alan!" Exclaimed Sapphire, her eyes sparkled like they were stars. "I didn't knew a champion of the Keyblade could summon an Ancient God, but you did it!"
"Yeah, Alan, you did something incredible." Said Kristal, crossing her arms and looking at him with joy. Alan just scratched his neck.
"Eh, well, I just remember some stuff from my world, so I gave it another try. We had nothing to lose, after all."
"You used the powers of the Keyblade, right?" Asked Duncan.
"Yes. I though his powers were sealed in the card or something, so I used the Keyblade to broke the seal and try it again. Not sure if I could summon him again, because… I don't know, these kind of things normally take so much time to recharge, or are only summoned when in certain cases."
"What… what are you talking about?" Asked the Kuriboh with confusion.
"Oh, videogame logic."
"What's a videogame?"
"Long story, will explain later."
"Anyway…" started Duncan, calling everyone's attention. "If the new Crystal is secure, we should go back to the village, and plan what to do there."
"Yeah, and take a good night of sleep." Said Kristal, stretching a little.
"King Kuriboh, you have our thanks for coming and help us."
"Don't mention it. We're sorry we couldn't arrive earlier." Expressed the King, smiling a little. "We couldn't save the Crystal, but at least the Sage of Water is safe, and we have hope."
"Indeed. Let's go back to the village."
And with that said, the group began to walk outside of the temple, to return to the village, as they had nothing more to do here. Alan was walking behind them… when he saw, for a fraction of a second, something that confused and scared him.
Everyone… turned into flame beings…
'What the…?' Though Alan, blinking a few times to see if he could see that scene again… but he didn't. 'Am I… imagining things?'
"You don't see it, Alan… but those are actually demons…"
Reed's words filled his mind with confusion… and fear.
'Is… is Reed right? Am I being…manipulated…?'
"Hey, Alan! We're leaving!"
Alan looked up, and saw that Kristal was looking at him, asking him why he was standing still.
"Oh… yeah… I'm going." Said the human, walking to get besides her.
He remained silent for the rest of the day…
-Music End-
-Location: Yang Island-
In the Throne Room of a Dark Castle, a portal opened and, from it, emerged Exia, her clothes still damaged after receiving Duncan's magic attack.
"I really need a shower… maybe later…"
"Exia."
-Music: Golbez, Clad in the Dark (Final Fantasy IV DS Soundtrack)-
The Sorceress felt a chill in her spine, as she looked in front of her. Sitting in a throne, covered by the shadows of the place, was a man, who looked like he was in his late twenties. She kneeled immediately.
"Lord Exus! I'm sorry for not greeting you immediately!" Exclaimed Exia, her eyes looking at the ground.
"It doesn't matter. You had a good reason."
Exia raised her gaze, and saw that the man was breathing heavily.
"Are you ok, Lord Exus?"
"Is nothing." Expressed the figure, still breathing heavily. "Blocking the attack of an Ancient God in this sealed state across the planet used all of my power."
"I'm sorry, Lord Exus. I lost almost half of the Heartless in the continent, and Invi got destroyed. I failed."
"Failed? Are you kidding me? You have destroyed 4 of the 6 crystals in this world! Soon, I will be free! And will rule over everyone!"
"Are you… no mad at me, Lord Exus?" Asked Exia with confusion.
"Of course not! Even I didn't expect that the human would be able to summon the Ancient God Osiris. Invader was a fool to try to challenge him, being so absorbed in the idea that darkness will spread like a virus and consume all."
"Yes, I know."
"Remember, Exia: Darkness is eternal, but is a tool that we will use. We are the masters of Darkness, not the other way around. We will never let Darkness corrupt out hearts."
"Yes, lord Exus."
"Although, I like the idea of engulf this world in Darkness. It will be… interesting."
"Indeed it will, my lord."
"Raise."
Exia stood up, but still look at the man on the throne, not moving from her place.
"What do you think of the mages?" Asked Exus with intrigue.
"They are strong, my Lord." Commented Exia. "The Dark Magician in particular has large quantities of Aura. If it wasn't because of the Darkness powering mine, we could be even. The other two mages show great potential, specially the Dark Magician Girl. She has… something I can't seem put my finger on. Oh, and she is incredibly strong for a mage."
"Oh? You mean physically strong? Like a fighter?"
"Indeed. She is very strong AND has large quantities of Aura herself."
"Very intriguing. I will have to see her more of her. What about the other mage."
"He has good aura and magic powers, but he doesn't have the potential to be a treat. He is, strangely, incredibly resistant, having a high defense for physical pain."
"A very powerful Dark Magician, a strong and powerful Dark Magician Girl, and an incredibly resistant Skilled Dark Magician. Interesting team. What about the Sages?"
"The Sage of Winds is a rookie. She doesn't have control over her true Sage Powers. The Sage of Waters, on the other hand, is very skilled and knows of many Sage skills. She managed to control the darkness infested waters that Letanv controlled, and I think she will be able to create a Crystal Seed for a new Crystal."
"The Sage of Water did get her training. Her clan is very tuned with the ancient legends, so I don't see it strange. And the human?"
"The human?" Asked Exia, scoffing at his mention. "The human is pretty weak. As he is now, Joeler would still be able to kill him. Although I must admit his power is raising, as he is slowly gaining control of his Aura. Shouldn't we kill him? He will be a treat if he keeps getting stronger."
"No, you will not kill him. I need him alive. If he dies, the Guardian God Chaos will disappear from him, and he won't be back for another 10,000 years. I need to extract his power from him, but I won't be able to do so until the human is strong enough to survive his powers. As he is now, he is useless, so let him grew stronger."
"As you wish."
"I have a mission for you."
"And what is, master?"
"The Sage of Ice was found. She is on the south continent of Ritsma, on the west part of the continent. My spies have said that she is in a village. Go and seek her."
"It will be done immediately, my lord."
"No. Wait until tomorrow. Your energy is low, so rest for a while, and then you will go and seek the Sage. Not sure if she did plant a Crystal Seed on the Ice Temple or not, my spies can't verify because of the violent blizzards the Temple is surrounded off."
"Ah, yes, those blizzards were a pain. As you wish my Lord."
"And you will not come alone."
"Oh? Who'll be with me?"
"It will be him."
Exia turned around, and looked at two figures entering the Throne Room. One was the human Reed, while the other one was the being that took Reed from the Water Temple, the bulky orc/fiend being.
"Ah, I see you are awake, human." Said Exia, mocking the human for being knocked out in combat.
"And I see you are even more of an exhibitionist than normal, Exia." Answered Reed, pointing at the damaged clothes she was wearing. A little more and her one piece suit would have been broken completely, exposing her sexy body completely to anyone in the room.
…not that she cares.
"Hey, I have the body, why not showing it?"
"I see you are proud of it."
"Of course!"
"Lord Exus." Expressed the figure besides Reed, that was covered in shadows too. "The deed is done."
"Oh? Is it true?" Asked Exus with intrigue.
"I did what you wanted." Said Reed, crossing his arms. "I punched Alan in the face with the illusion spell you provided. Alan will sometimes see demons in the place of his friends. I hope you're happy, as I got punched with a big Ice Cube in the face to plant that illusion in Alan's head." He said, remembering his final clash with Alan, as he used the fire of the fire punch to hide the true spell.
"Glad you managed to do so. Now the human will slowly distrust his companions, and soon, he will run away from them."
"But don't take that for granted."
"Why is that?"
"Alan is both emotional and logical. He will soon find it strange that he started seeing demons after I told him of them. But he also forms crazy ideas in his head, so maybe he'll think he sees them because I'm breaking the illusion with my words. It all depends on him."
"Well, this mistrust will be of use. Maybe he will continue with their quest, but he won't be able to trust them as much as he did, so it will give us an advantage. Well done, my apprentice."
"Thank you, Lord Exus." Said Reed, while his eyes flickered to golden for a second. "I'm thankful that you opened my eyes to the truth. This world truly belongs to you, and once you have the Chaos Keyblade with you, I will guide you… to Earth."
"I am intrigued with what your world has, Reed."
"Earth is a world full of wonders. Sure, we don't have magic, but the technology we humans have developed will gave you more resources and pleasures you wouldn't have imagined."
"Very intrigued indeed. Although, the number of human in your world is… ludicrous."
"Six billion people…" Commented Exia, crossing her arms over her chest. "I really don't know how you humans can live with that many people in your world."
"Technology, my friend. If it wasn't because of that, humans wouldn't reach the 1 billion people. That being said, do NOT underestimate Earth. The military power some nations on my world possess is impressive. We have enough guns and bullets to kill every single person on Earth several times over, and weapons of mass destruction enough to level entire cities and mountains. I'm sure with enough of them, we will be able to nuke both worlds to oblivion."
"But you told us that Earth is not unified, right?" Asked Exus with malice. "If so, then we can make some alliances. Anyone has their price, and they would be intrigued in our magic and resources we possess."
"Earth has many nations. The more powerful ones are the United States of America, the Russian Federation, and the People's Republic of China. Those are the three main and most powerful countries. There are other nations that also have great influence, like the United Kingdom, France, Germany, India, Iran, Japan, and even emerging nations like Brazil are slowly gaining more power. Anyone of them could be a good partner. Right now there is a war between the United States and some nations in a region called the Middle East, so, if time has truly stop on Earth, you could use this war to provide resources to one of the sides when we return to Earth."
"But...they have no defense against the Heartless, am I right?"
"Indeed. Even if the militaries of Earth unite against you, their weapons won't work against the Heartless, or they wouldn't be able to completely destroy them. Sure, I have no idea what a nuclear detonation will do to the Heartless, but Nukes are a last option for the nations of Earth, as that will surely mean their own annihilation."
"Very intriguing, and valuable information. But that will be for later. I still need to get out of this seal completely, and then capture the human of the Chaos Keyblade to get their powers and so I can go and conquer the world. Exia, Reed. Rest for today, and tomorrow you go to the Ritsma continent and capture the Ice Sage."
"Yes, Lord Exus!" Exclaimed both. Looking at Reed, Exus chuckled, as he looked at the shadow figure besides him.
"Heh, the mind control spell you put on Reed is working wonders."
"Thank you, Lord Exus." Expressed the figure. "It was difficult. The human had a strong mind, but I found a way. The best thing is, that the original mind of the human is aware of what is happening, but my magic is working to suppress his will and force him to do our work."
"Just be careful of that. You know how those spells can be broken by a strong will. I don't want some power of friendship bullshit to break it."
"Rest assured, Lord Exus. That was why I send him to fight his cousin. If the spell didn't break when he saw him, we are safe of if failing."
"Just check it, in case it will break or something. If you see Reed doubting, strike him with another spell."
"I am still here, you know?" Asked Reed, rising an eyebrow.
"And that won't matter, because the spell won't break. You are ours, Reed."
"I am your apprentice, Lord Exus."
"Excellent."
"What will be my mission, Lord Exus?" Asked the figure besides Reed.
"You, as my second in command, will take a good look at the human and his companions. Do not attack them, just observe them. Even if you are stronger than them, if they combine their techniques, they will be able to defeat you. Besides, to use your full power, another Crystal needs to be destroyed."
"As you wish, Lord Exus."
"We still have a problem." Said Exia, calling for the attention of the 3 males. "The human Alan has the card of an Ancient God. He could summon him and our plans will be for nothing."
"That is indeed a problem, Exia." Commented then figure with intrigue. "We must find a way to take the card from him."
"It's useless." Said Exus. "The card is protected by a seal itself. No one on my army could even take that card without being vaporized, as that seal will destroy anyone with the power of Darkness. Only a human and those close to him will be able to take it. It needs to be strong enough, like myself, to take it. Exia could probably take the card, but I won't risk her to vaporization in case I'm wrong and she is not strong enough."
"Then what do we do?" Asked Exia. "If we can't take it from him…"
The 3 Spirituels tried to think of something, but they couldn't find a way to stop Alan from summoning Osiris if they were to fight again… and as they saw, it was able to one shot even a powerful general like the Invader. They had no plan…
"I have an idea."
But Reed did.
"What do you mean, human?" Asked the shadow figure besides him. "You have an idea that Lord Exus couldn't think of? Preposterous!"
"Silence! Let him speak!" Exclaimed Exus, silencing the shadow figure. "Go on, Reed."
"Well, your 3 gods are the Egyptian Gods, right?" Asked Reed, looking at the three. "So, if Alan found the Card of Osiris the Sky Dragon in the city protected by Osiris, what about the other cities?"
"We know where the other cities are." Answered Exia. "However, no Spirituel can get near the temple of the card, as it's protected by the will of the Ancient God that protects the city. Any Spirituel that tries too will be repelled or disintegrated. It's useless!"
"Well, lucky for you, I am not a Spirituel."
The 3 Spirtuels looked at each other with confusion, before understanding his idea.
"Wait… do you mean…?" Asked Exia with confusion.
"Yes…" Said Reed, smiling with some malice. "To fight an Ancient God… we need ANOTHER Ancient God…"
And to that… Exus smiled…

Author Notes:
Well, another chapter is done :D
Yes, the Egyptian Gods are WAY stronger in this universe. To be fair, if the original series was made today, I'm sure they will made the Egyptian Gods this powerful, as it was only limited by the budget of the series. I'm sure if the series was made today, they will be able to destroy mountains to show how powerful they are, as they said they were the most powerful of the series.
And yeah, I gave Osiris another kind of attack. I have the idea Osiris can control lightning. He was just too powerful for ANYONE in the chapter... except...
And yeah, Exus make his first apperance. Techncially it's only his shadow, and even in his castle, you technically can't see his apperance, always hiden in shadows.
We see some more of Exus' personality. I tried to not make him absolute evil, like he is willing to kill his soldiers, as he knows hes need them, even as cannon fodder. He plays it safe. He does praise Exia for all her work, and admits that even him didnt anticipated the apperance of an Ancient God, as he was SURE Alan wouldn't be able to summon him. He is inteligent, but sometimes even he can't anticipate everything.
What he DID anticipate was the plan to try and submit Alan. That illusion spell will help him sometimes in the future.
And Reed... well, Reed is on Exus side, being controlled by him. He also gave Exus information of Earth, and a future plan to try and conquer the planet, once Exus get Alan and the Chaos Keyblade. Will he be able to do it?
On the heroes side, Sapphire knew a way to fix the Crystals, or at least replace them. This is because of a plot hole I had in the past version of the fic, where the Elemental Crystals were 'fixed' magically in one move by one character. When I read that part again, it didnt fly, so I created the Crystal Sages, as a way to fix that plot hole.
Also as an excuse to start Alan's Harem :D /nuked
Anyway, this is all for today. Like I said, next week I wont upload, as I will take my time to relax and continue writing. Hope you have a nice week!
See ya next time!
