A/N Again, thank you so much for your reviews, they mean a lot to me. I am still borrowing these characters.

When Penny talked to Amy about the possibility of her moving in with Sheldon, she was surprised at her answer. Amy was afraid of pushing too hard and maybe undoing all the progress they had made. She also disappointed Penny when she told her she hoped Penny would think again about having Leonard move out. She said that they were at a crucial point in their seeking a Nobel and didn't want to take any chances by changing things now.

What Amy had said was reinforced when Leonard told Penny that they were on the verge of a breakthrough and he and Alex would be working longer hours to finish up. There was apparently an attempt by some other universities to seek to disparage the theory based on some old Russian literature.

Penny of course said she understood, and she did, but was also bummed out a little that not only did it appear that Leonard would not be moving in with her, but he would be spending a lot of time with Alex. Although she was now friends with Alex and believed what Alex had said, it still caused her some concern when they went so far to start to stay overnight at the University.

She felt a little better when they invited her to often have supper with them.

With Sheldon and Amy also spending a great deal of their time working with Leonard and Alex, Penny found herself spending a lot of time with Bernadette, even though that meant she had to hear about her and Howard.

In the end, it only lasted three weeks and she shared in their excitement when they announced they had succeeded in confirming and developing protocols to prove Sheldon and Amy's theory.

They celebrated by everyone going out to dinner together, with Bernadette and Howard joining them. Penny was also thrilled when Alex called Zack and invited him to come.

It ended up with everyone, even Sheldon, getting more than a little tipsy, as Zack kept ordering Champagne.

When it finally broke up, everyone took a cab home. Zack was by far the most sober and made sure that everyone got home safely.

Sheldon and Amy had a real make out session before they both passed out on the couch.

Leonard and Penny made it to her bed and tried to make up for the last three weeks of celibacy, but soon also conked out.

Alex was all over Zack, but he had no intention of ruining a possible relationship by doing something she would likely regret in the morning. Instead he made sure she took some painkillers and leaving her underwear on, tucked her into bed. He then kissed her softly on the forehead and made himself comfortable on her couch.

The next morning, Leonard and Penny woke up naked in her bed, but all romantic thoughts were quickly forgotten as they both rushed to the bathroom. After both were able to clear their stomachs, they both took some painkillers and drank a bottle of water before collapsing back in bed.

Feeling better a few hours later, they got up and after they had each taken a shower, got dressed and sat together on the couch. Penny fortunately had the late shift, but was not looking forward to going to work.

It did not take much persuasion from Leonard to convince her to call in sick. After managing to get some food down, they returned to the bedroom and made love. Although she knew it was probably not the best time, the joy of having Leonard back with her, prompted her to ask him, "Leonard, have you ever thought of moving in with me?"

Leonard stared at her, "You want to live together?"

She smiled, "I think that is what I just said."

She was overjoyed when he gave her a huge smile, "I would love too. I have dreamt about that."

She moved over and gave him a passionate kiss, then smiled "How about Sheldon?"

Leonard smiled, "I already tried that. I would much rather be with you. You're are much more fun."

She smiled and kissed him again but then said, "Be serious, you know how much he hates change."

"That's true, but he also has Amy. She practically lives there already." He hesitated and then smiled, "Maybe she will move in. She said she wanted to be closer to the University. Maybe this will be the nudge they need."

"I thought of that but when I talked to her, she thought it was premature. But she was also worried that it would affect the work you were doing. Now that you're done with that, maybe she'll be more receptive."

"Maybe." Then he smiled at her, "It doesn't really matter though, I am not about to miss the chance to be with you."

Penny snuggled into him, "You'd better not." She looked up at him, "I love you, Leonard Hofstadter. I want to spend my life with you."

Leonard was overwhelmed, "Did she realize what she had said? "I love you, Penny. I always have. I wish we could just stay like this. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You make me so happy."

Penny teared up a little, then slid over on top of him as she kissed him. They made love again and then fell asleep in each other's arms.

Amy woke up to find herself entwined with Sheldon on the couch. At first disoriented, she quickly remembered the night before. She was filled with both joy and trepidation. Joy at what she experienced with Sheldon but trepidation as to how he would react.

But then her main concern was getting to the bathroom. She managed to struggle to her feet and somehow made it to the bathroom in time.

After spending some time sitting next to the toilet, she heard Sheldon calling out, "Leonard, where are you, I don't feel well. Leonard!"

She fought her way to her feet and made her way out to him as he called out, "Amy, what are you doing here? Where is Leonard? I don't feel…" At that moment, to both his and Amy's horror, he turned his head and threw up all over his spot.

Fighting her own urge to copy him, Amy managed to get him to his feet and made it to the bathroom before he did it again. After he had spent himself, she left him there and somehow fighting her nausea, cleaned his cushion as well as possible.

She then returned to the bathroom and after forcing him to take a couple painkillers, put him in the shower clothes and all.

When he indignantly informed her he needed to get out of there, she helped him out. Sitting him on the toilet she handed him a towel and said she would get something for him to wear.

After getting him some clothes, she took some painkillers with her and left him to get dried and dressed. After a time, he finally emerged and to her relief, instinctively sat down in his spot.

Telling him she was going to get cleaned up, she went to the bathroom, stripped and took a shower.

Wrapped in a towel, she nervously entered Sheldon's room and found something she could wear.

When she returned to the living room, she found Sheldon had fallen fast asleep. Wanting to be there when he woke up, she managed to get comfortable next to him and soon joined him in sleep.

When Sheldon awoke again, he discovered that he felt much better. As the events of the previous night and the morning came back to him, he looked over and saw Amy wearing some of his clothes. He began to panic, what all had happened? What had he and Amy done?

Just then Amy woke up. Rubbing her eyes, she smiled at Sheldon, "Good morning,"

Sheldon answered, "It appears it is Good Afternoon."

He then a little nervously continued, "Do you remember what happened?" Gesturing to the clothes she was wearing, "Amy, did we…?

For a moment, Amy wanted it to be true, but quickly assured him, "We just kissed, Sheldon. I changed clothes because I got some vomit on mine."

Sheldon was relieved, but then remembered his throwing up and jumped up from his seat. He also remembered his soiled clothes in the bathroom.

He quickly gathered them and Amy's soiled clothes up and told Amy he was going to the laundry room. She started to object, but realized it would fall on deaf ears. Besides, she was horribly thirsty. As he left, she made her way to the kitchen and got herself a bottle of water. Sitting back on the couch, she quickly finished it off.

Sheldon soon returned telling her he had left them pre-soaking but needed something to drink. Getting a bottle, he was about to sit back down when he remembered what had happened. Amy quickly assured him she had cleaned and disinfected it. He was about to complain when he decided with everything that had happened, it was not worth concerning himself with.

Sitting down, he finished off half the bottle before he turned to Amy, "Do you know where Leonard is?"

"I would assume he is with Penny."

Sheldon nodded, then announced, "I am going to put the clothes in the washer." He hesitated, "Then, we should perhaps discuss last night."

"I agree. Are you hungry, I could make us each a sandwich?"

"That sounds acceptable. I will be right back."

As Sheldon loaded and started the washer, he was shocked at how he had broken so many rules since the previous night. He had 'made out' with Amy, had fallen asleep in his clothes, and had sat back down in his spot after he had thrown up on it. Now he was washing clothes when it wasn't Saturday and planning to leave the washer unattended.

He decided he would just treat this day as an aberration, a day to be forgotten.

He returned to the apartment and sat with Amy on the couch as they ate their sandwiches. A little reluctantly, he turned to Amy, "About last night and today…"

Amy quickly interjected, "We were both drunk, Sheldon. I think we should just put this behind us."

"Even though we were drunk, I do remember that I enjoyed kissing you."

Amy stared at him, "Did you, Sheldon? I am glad because I feel the same."

"Although I do not intend to repeat any of the other incidents that have occurred today, I would not be averse to perhaps repeating our interaction in the future."

Amy smiled, "I would like that as well."

Sheldon decided it was time to change the subject, "Now that we have proved our theory, we need to prepare papers at once."

Amy was a little disappointed that he had moved on, but she realized how much of a concession he had made. "I agree, Sheldon. We should meet with Leonard and Alex to determine what needs to be done and who should be involved."

Sheldon hesitated, "I accept that Alex apparently helped Leonard, but there can only be three nominations for a Nobel. I do not see where she needs to be involved in the future."

Amy had to admit that Sheldon was probably right, but she wondered how Leonard would feel about that. Although she believed they were not romantically involved, she also knew they were still close. She hoped it would not be a problem as they moved forward.

She finally said, "Although I agree. I am not sure Leonard will. You know how close they are."

Sheldon nodded, "Unfortunately, I do, I do wish that Leonard was less inclined to let his personal life interfere with his professional one. In this instance, however, I believe we need to be adamant that it is time to remove Alex from the project."

"I guess you're right. We better talk to him as soon as possible."

Suddenly, Amy remembered what Penny had said about Leonard moving in with her. At the time, she had felt it was too early to think of her moving in with Sheldon. But in lieu of what had happened last night and how Sheldon seemed to accept it this morning, she wondered if it could be possible. Gathering her courage, she decided there was no time like the present.

"Sheldon, there is something else I would like to discuss with you."

"What is it?"

"Penny approached me the other day and informed me she wants Leonard to move in with her."

"He can't do that; it would break the roommate agreement."

"I have a feeling that the way Leonard feels about Penny, that would not stop him."

Sheldon shook his head, "No, he wouldn't do that to me. Who would drive me to work? Who would pick up our food?"

Amy took a deep breath, "She also suggested that since I am looking for a new place, that I," she hesitated again before plunging on, "Could move in with you." Before he could say anything, she hurried on, "I could drive you anywhere you wanted and pick up your meals. It would also mean I would be here to work with you on our project. Also, Leonard would just be across the hall, he would still be available for movies and games."

Sheldon was about to tell her how absurd that was but realized that she was right that it would have some advantages. After all, she spent almost all of her time there now. She was also right that Leonard would betray him. He more than anyone knew how much Leonard was taken with Penny. He certainly did not want to go through the tedious task of finding a roommate. He also did not want to risk what had happened to him before. But then something else struck him, what would his mother think?

Amy watched nervously as Sheldon just sat there, deep in thought. Finally, he said, "I am afraid you are right; Leonard would jump at the chance to be with Penny. It is also true that if you were my roommate, I would not have to risk finding someone that might not be so compatible. However, I have some concerns about what my mother would think."

Amy was amazed, it appeared he was considering it, "I am sure we can assure your mother that our living together is one of convenience and that we are not indulging in coitus. After all, she already knows we are boyfriend and girlfriend."

Sheldon decided she was probably right, but then remembering how they had kissed, he wondered what his mother would think about that. He finally decided it was really none of her business and he also remembered how she had wanted him to bring Amy to Texas and how well they had got along.

"Very well, Amy, you may inform Penny that if she does still want Leonard to move, you will be my roommate."

Amy was overjoyed, she quickly moved over and gave him a kiss on the mouth.
