POV 1 Severin

Two shining silhouettes appeared before me, slowly, both of the images begin to crystallize into a more solid form, on the left I saw a pale girl, with royal blue eyes and black hair and a dark blue shirt, blue jeans and a big helix shaped silver bracelet reaching across her right forearm. The other one was a green-haired and green-eyed, freckled, short boy, wearing a (also green) costume with white arm braces. Maybe my comment about 'heroes' was taken a bit more literally than I thought.
But to verify this, I used some more of my D.E. to have a look through their history.
The girl was named Blythe Kawano and she wasn't just from a world like Yuya's, she was another person with counterparts, her Xyz Counterpart being named Freya Belland, the Synchro Counterpart Zephyrine Falconglade, the Fusion Counterpart Olympe Belletor, with their original version's name veing Mythia Crypt.
The last one seemed a bit too poetic for my tastes.
Myth was actually a lover of Zarc, the love however turned her mad, which Zarc exploited when the success ruined and turned him mad.
This is merely the most barebones version of their Story possible , but I doubt anyone wants to hear the full length version at the Moment.
Another detail, worth mentioning I gleaned from that however, was that like the world this story takes place in always had the extra Monster zone and some time after Yuya created pendulum summoning in Blythes Version of his story, she created Link Summoning.
Any further Details on her will come from herself.

The boy, might be known among some of you under the name of Izuki Midoriya. For those uninitiated, in his world, superpowers (there referred to as 'quirks') and superheroes are commonplace. He had a strong dream of becoming a hero someday, but alas he was born without one, but one day, he was granted one that allowed him to harness a stockpile of powerful energy, though using 100% would injure his body heavily, as of his current state he can spread up to 8% over his Body without a huge risk.
Those initiated would probably yell at me for the amount of oversimplifiaction, (even though it was more detailed than Blythe's) but again, this was only for the basics, anything else will be revealed by him.
I wonder what Yuya Sakaki will think when fighting someone of a powerful heroic spirit like his, despite what Odd-Eyes Dragon said, I think will be sure to make him waver.

"Greetings.", I said, "You have been summoned to my realms for a very important mission."

"W-w-what? I don't even know you! Where am I? What is-", Blythe stammered.

"Being transported into a black empty space without knowing... sorry, but that seems like a villains work.", Izuku said, "but whoever you are, it would be better to listen to this guy first."

I should let you know that I appeared in my human form, not as Yavix the Disgraced Nightmare, that's why Izuku didn't say anything about that.

"Still having your guard up, yet not striking me immediately, most people wouldn't be able to remain that calm.", I complimented him, "even some heroes I bet.", perhaps even some major ones, thinking I would just maliciously deceive them with my words.

"So, what are we supposed to do for you?", he asked.

"Y-yeah, go ahead and tell us immediately!", Blythe nervously ordered me.

"Before I tell you about that, I should tell Izuku about something that might seem strange, even for someone living in a word of superheroes.", I said.

"So, this isn't even the same world?!", Blythe asked, "and we two aren't even from the same one?"

"Yes, Blythe, but apart from that, unlike in Izuku's world, battles aren't fought with fists and superpowers, but with card games, your mind... and to be frank something that could reasonably considered a superpower, but that will be explained a bit later. And also, what Blythe isn't aware of, in this world it's done via Cyberspace.", I answered.

"Why cardgames though?", he asked, very confused, though I can't blame him.

"Before that, this cyberspace isn't just the regular Internet you are aware of, there is a virtual reality network you can use to play a particular trading card game named duel monsters."

"So, it's just one. But I don't know any card game with that name.", he answered.

"That can be changed, but in this network, you can interact with the environment as you would in the real word for the most part, but that also makes injuries possible. And let's assume you had a card like this-", I said, putting Yavix the Disgraced Nightmare on my duel disk to summon it, "it's a villainous-looking creature to be sure, but if you summoned this and your opponent wouldn't want to duel, it could strike your opponent unbound by the rules of the game. So, it's a more tactical, but also more luck-dependent version of a fist fight."

"Yes.", Blythe muttered, "That's what academia did, but it wasn't in Virtual Reality, they used touchable holograms."

"But do you have time to teach me the card game? It needed a long time to control my quirk the way I can now and even then I'm on a long way to master it. or am I supposed to engage in real combat, because my powers would allow me to survive?"

"No, you will acquire the knowledge of how to play, but your physical skills could be used in a different way, but before we get to the fighting methods, it's time to get to the purpose of bringing you here.
I talked about another superpower related to duel monsters, 10 years ago, I took part in an experiment to gather and harness an energy that allowed you to create cards out of thin air and manipulate what cards you draw. However, one day an experiment with it went wrong, probably due to sabotage, which caused me and two other participants to be overloaded with this energy.
We became beings of incredible power, we weren't Aaware initially, but we tested out our powers and found out we could have quite an influence on the real world, but when we attempted to enter the world itself we felt as though we were breaking apart, though I managed to find a loophole, however before that
we became divided on how to use the influence that we do have.
One, named Kaede Urashima, wanted to bury the past so that nobody would use this power, maliciously or not. One, Kouhei Hagakure wanted to go back to the world and continue These experiments, however unethical they would get and he didn't even have the most sane plan to make that happen.
I intend for the truth to come to light and for people use that power, D.E. as I call it, CCE, as they do, in a more benevolent way, if possible."

"And I assume the other two guys also send people to this world trying to accomplish their Goals. And you are going to send us back to our world once we're done? But what about their servants? And what if we don't?", Blythe asked, having recaptured herself a Little bit.

"I will sent back all of the 'servants' to their world and the point in time they ware taken once it's done, I can't guarantee what Kaede and Kouhei will do. And to ensure that you succeed. I will put your capabilities to a test with a duel, before explaining more of the conflict you are going to participate in.", I said.

"But I don't have a knowledge on this game yet.", Izuku said, "how can you say I would be good or not unless you've spent some time on training me? Or can you magically give me the knowledge of how it works, since you can gather People from other dimensions?"

"I think I can do so, but first, I am quite curious how you are going to react to a duel, before you know about the workings of the game.", I said.

"Alright then, let's duel.", Blythe said, activating her duel disk.

Severin Sevenstar (4000lp) vs Blythe Kawano (4000lp)

"I start by setting a card face-down, now connections of cold malady, gather yourselves at once! The summoning condition is 1 face-down Virus Trap Card!
I set the Link Marker with Eradicator Epidemic Virus! LINK SUMMON! Come forth, Freezick Alobe (ATK: 1000 Marker: Down)"

Freezick Alobe appeared like a cold blueish version of the virus on Crush Card Virus' artwork, with the character on it having turned into a bizarre impish face.

"Link Summoning with trap cards, interesting concept.", I said.

"I, see then 'trap cards', usually are not used to 'link summon'. Also, it seems to be a custom to say a flashy quote before summoning a link monster.", Izuku muttered taking a note on the game. Though I have no idea where his notepad came from.

"When Alobe is Link Summoned, he checks what kind of monsters would be tributed to activate the Virus card. Since it would be a 2500 Dark Attribute, I can summon Freezick Ulf from my deck. (ATK: 2500) To the zone he points to that is."

Ulf had as you might expect, the skullish face from Eradicator Epidemic's artwork, but also the body of an octopus made from the tentacles coming out of it, with parts of his Body being frozen

"Note: Blythe's monsters apparently have the name of an illness spelled backwards, though the danger coming from the illness or virus is either in reverse to the monsters strength or no indicator at all.", he muttered. And I have to inform you I won't recount all notes he takes.

"This, time, I set the Link Markers using Alobe and Ulf. The Summoning conditions are 2 "Freezick" monsters! LINK SUMMON! Come forth, Link 2, Freezick Iloce. (ATK: 2000 Markers: Bottom-left, Bottom-right) Now, choose either Ulf or Alobe, depending on that could be used if they were sacrificed as a cost."

"I choose Alobe.", I responded.

"Then I will set Grinning Grave Virus.", she said. a sensible move. She was not aware of whether I use monsters with high or low ATK so she sets this as opposed to Crush Card Virus.

"Then I activate Polyaddition, I fuse Grinning Grave Virus on my field with Full Force Virus in my hand! Smiling Demise, use all of your strength to call forth the ultimate infestatious being! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth, Level 7, Cold Virus Dragon! (ATK: 2500)
I set two cards and end my turn."

A White Dragon appeared, though instantly, parts of its Body transformed into a decaying state, causing purple blood to leak out of it, but it was viscid like resin from a tree.

"This chant sounded kind of overblown...", Izuku muttered, "and I even with the Virus cards, I'm suprised to see you use a monster like that."

"Some chants do. Wait until you hear some of mine.", I said, "I activate the Field Spell Fusion Gate, this allows either of us to Fusion Summon any number of times per turn, by banishing material, but here only monsters, from our hand or field.
I use Yavix, Traveller of the Mind and Yavix Traveller of the Soul to Fusion Summon. Fallen Hero, use your former and distant goals and turn them into that which drives you Forward! Yavix the Disgraced Nightmare (ATK: 2700), when summoned he equips himself with one monster you control, I choose Cold Virus Dragon."

"That's probably what you were going for anyway, but I activate Grinning Grave Virus by tributing Cold Virus Dragon, for every 500th ATK point he has, you have to destroy one card from your hand or deck. You can choose anything, but you have to wait one turn until you use the GY effects of those cards.
And since I tributed a monster with at least 2000 ATK, any monster you draw until the 3rd End Phase after I used this card is destroyed."

"I choose to destroy 3 copies of Yavix Embodiment of Dreams and 2 copies of Yavix Embodiment of Sleep. Then I activate the Continous Spell card Slowly Shifting Vagaries and use its effect to tribute the Yavix I control for a different one from my Extra Deck. Now, let the mislead one arrive, FUSION SUMMON! come forth, Yavix the Lost Hallucination (ATK: 3100) he gets to take and equip one of your Spell and Trap Cards to himself.
Then I activate the Spell Slash and Burn, sacrificing Fusion Gate for 2 new cards.
Lost Hallucination, now destroy Iloce! (Blythe LP: 4000-2900)"

Despite the higher attack power it was smaller than Disgraced Nightmare, but it hid its appearance behind smoke in the negative colors of Disgraced Nightmare, though its body shared nightmare's colors, but darkened and lightened in random spots. When it struck, it transformed its illusory cover into a halberd turning Iloce into another illusion when he cleaved through it.

"I set three cards from my hand and end my turn.
2 Turns left for Grinning Grave Virus. Now, Izuku, what are your impressions of this game after this start?"

"Uh, well it could be really fun if played under, you know, normal circumstances, but I can definetly be used for fights between villains and heroes if those monsters were as dangerous as they looked.", he answered.

"Sorry for my deck looking so creepy.", Blythe said shyly.

"The appearance of my cards is indeed unfortunate as well, but Kouhei's ace is a golden knight and he certainly is the least benevolent of us three.", I said.

"No, no, don't mind that comment, there's some heroes that look like villains in my world too.", he said.

So, while he was worried about upsetting me (and Blythe) it seemed to be caused by his own benevolent nature, not because he was frightened by my power.
Looks like there won't be any trust issues with my own envoys, at least not from him. Or it's because he didn't have much choice, before I let this get to my head.

"Then, my turn again, draw! I activate Wondrous Combination! This card lets me not only use Spells, Traps, as well as monsters as Fusion Material, I also get to do so by banishing cards from my hand and GY. I pick Freezick Iloce, Full Force Virus and Cold Virus Dragon. Cold Sickness, all-powerful plague, dragon of pestilence, join together and freeze and contaminate all! FUSION SUMMON! Level 10, Absolute Zero Plague Dragon! (ATK: 3500)"

Here, a purple dragon appeared, spewing noxious gas instead of Flames, he still looked like he was made out of ice, but also as if his body contained all Kinds of deadly venom within it.

"That chant sounded much better than the other two, though maybe I'm just not used to that.", Izuku noted.

"Are there no heroes with weird names or weird attack names in your world?", Blythe wondered.

"Yes, but a card game is kind of a different situation. Attack or hero names are shorter than these minor poems, which prevents the weirdness from lingering on, but again, maybe I just have to get used to it."

"Back to my turn, I activate the effect of Plague Dragon, I banish Eradicator Epidemic Virus to use its effect meaning, I choose Spells or Traps, in this case traps, and destroy all you have in your hand or field, even the face-down ones, and all you draw for three turns.
Until I can do this again, both Grinning Grave and Eradicator Epidemic have to wear off."

The tentacled skull of Eradicator Epidemic Virus reappeared from the grave, Plague Dragon inhaled it, crushed it with its teeth, swallowed it, and then spewed the gas towards my direction.

"Regardless, two face-down cards remain, even though Hallucination can't use its ability right now without the equipped trap.", I said.

"I also use the second effect, by turning the banished Full Force Virus face-down, you cannot place cards that would be destroyed by it on the field this turn."

"Would it really be likely for him to place those cards on the field this turn?", Izuku wondered.

"With his weird deck, anything is possible. Maybe he only decided two of those face-downs were traps on the spot to be fair.", Blythe theorized, "So, in case he wants to summon a new thing and force me to attack into it- huh, maybe forbidding you from summoning 1500- defense monsters wasn't very smart. It sounded stupid as I said it."

"The start of the duel made you less nervous, but it clearly didn't remove all of your anxiety ", I said.

"If you knew that Izuku was from a superhero world, without him explicitly saying it, and not just some crazy fan of the genre with a simplistic world view, then does your magic tell you something about me and my world? 'cause there's a lot that happened there. It's difficult to explain, but it would make sense for those things to override the worries of um, this here.", she said, "and once more, less talk more duel. I attack your weird Hallucination with Absolute Zero Plague Dragon. (Severin LP: 4000-3600)"

Yes, for its attack it spewed out all of the poison inside of itself decaying Hallucination and when only a puddle remained Absolute Zero Plague Dragon drank all of it, and also she didn't explain how the act of dueling calmed her down, though It probably doesn't suprise anyone from your world anyway.

"Aaand, my turn ends here.""

"It's a strong monster and I have to draw spells for the time being, but surely turning all you have into a single strong card isn't your best?", I asked.

"So, does this mean I'm almost out of the question, or that I get a second chance?", Blythe asked, sounding strangely neutral.

"It means that I wish to see this other thing. The thing that worries you more than being pulled into this situation.", I said.

"It's some kind of dueling superpower isn't it? You've mentioned one before.", Izuku noted.

"It's not the one I was talking about, but she can deliberate whether she is going to use it in my turn. The card I drew in my Draw Phase was Infestation Fusion, this card permits me to summon a dark insect by banishing from my hand and GY.
I banish Disgraced Nightmare and Lost Hallucination. Fallen horror and forgotten deceit, part way for the vargant fantasies! FUSION SUMMON! Come forth, Level 10, Yavix the Strayed Reverie! (ATK: ?)"

"An attack power of question mark? I assume it will be determined by its abilities, but are there going to be monsters with less than Zero ATK?", Izuku asked.

"As far as I know, no negative attack or or Level values. And no fractions either, it's always rounded up.", Blythe answered.

"However, you'll see other strange mechanics. And the calculation of Reverie's ATK works the following way: first, he is equipped with his materials, then he gains ATK and DEF of his equipped monsters. Also, instead of attacking he can send his equipped monsters to the GY to use their original effects, then he gains that much ATK and DEF. (ATK: ?-5800 DEF: ?-3200)"

His left half took on the appearance of Nightmare, right that of Hallucination.

"I know he required two fusions, but this is a little bit ridiculous.", Blythe said, reading its text.

"I don't know about this game, but since his materials need to be summoned with 2 monsters first, who each beeds two monsters themselves, he needs at least one spell like Fusion Gate to summon 6 more monsters as materials basically.
And then Reverie's strength depends on the materials in two ways.", Izuku analyzed.

"Okay, that's not actually that bad of an analysis for someone who doesn't know the game.", Blythe admitted.

"I continue this duel by activating my trap card Juncture Vagary, this lets me equip any Yavix from my deck to it. I'll be 'gracious' and use Unveiled Servant. (Reverie ATK: 5800-5900)"

The smoke of Hallunication's hald of Reverie dissipated and an aura of red light flared up around Reverie.

"Well, discarding to grant him the ATK of another Yavix you have seems troubling, but you only have one card. Though you're probably going to draw a lot now anyway.", Blythe said.

"Indeed. I use Graceful Vagaries to draw one card for every of Reverie's equips, in this case three, also this card's drawn cards cannot be destroyed and no effect can be used in reaction. I activate my Castle of Eternal Vagaries, in Exchange for only being able to Control three monsters, I can summon monsters from the Exta Deck even to zones no Link Monster Points to.", I said.

"I see, so that's what those arrows meant, but that card's secondary effect is so convenient, you have to be controlling your draws in some ways for the purpose of this test not ending prematurely.", Izuku noted.

"Yes, I'll freely admit, I do control my draws while in this realm. I normal summon Yavix the Fading Existence (ATK: 700) and activate Montage Fusion."

"Really? A Continous Spell? How come you don't have a clogged backrow 24/7? Not to mention the other Person who used this card.", Blythe wondered.

"Using Montage Fusion's effect I sent Fading Existence to the GY and use your Plague Dragon as material without removing him from the field.
With this I summon Yavix the Venerated thought (ATK: 2300) he equips himself with the top card of my deck. It was the spell Polymerization, so his ATK or DEF won't change, but I use Emergency Fusion, sending his equip spell and Montage Fusion to the GY, granting me 2000 Life Points. (Severin LP: 3600-5600) prevent it from being destroyed in the End Phase by Montage Fusion's drawback, oh and as it's been usd as material, I can summon Existence back to the field."

While the Extra Deck Yavix' look like insect knights of hell/heaven, the normal ones where more like a cross between normal people and insects, with Fading Existence, hiding itself between blurry dark purple butterfly wings. Venerated thoughts armor was colored in bronze and light grey, and it stood there in some kind of 'worried thinker' pose, not that it was any less terrifying as a result.

"Not very fading.", Izuku noted.

"Okay, but you're obviously holding back.", Blythe said, "even apart from not giving yourself the perfect hand."

"Yes that too, but I'll only do for this turn if you don't show me something interesting. I attack Absolute Zero Plague Dragon with Yavix the Strayed Reverie." Reverie struck Plague Dragon with a simple punch, which the dragon could easily withstand, but this was a feint, so he could slash him apart in the middle with its scythern legs. (Blythe LP: 2900-600)

"I end my turn and Graceful Vagaries requires me to discard my entire hand.", I said, "But I also unveil this. Action Field Dark, activate!"

"Wait, but you didn't have anything from your hand, why can you create these platforms out of nowhere?", Izuku asked.

"Action Fields are separate from your deck, though they are usually activated from the beginning onwards. And for you, Blythe, unlike most Action Fields, this allows you to hold any number of Action Cards though you can only obtain one during each turn and only 4 Action Cards in total can be gathered."

"So, these cards are gathered by regular movement. My quirk is going to be useful for this, though I can only use 8% of it's full strength without heavily injuring myself. Or was that part of the info about me you know already?"

"If we fight for you, are we going to be able to activate this mid-duel too?", Blythe wondered.

"Yes, but remember, use your full strength.", I insisted.

"He seems like a harsh guy, but if we could gather us from two different worlds, he can probably at least prevent your power from going haywire or hurting you or whatever the drawback is going to be.", Izuku encouraged her.

She took a deep breath: "Alright, my turn, draw. I activate Greedy Grace Virus. As an active Virus only has one turn left, I draw two cards. Now..."

she clenched her fist on the ring on her right arms elbow, she let a red and black aura around herself flare up and her bracelets Helix began to retract itself into the ring. She now had a silver-gray ponytail hair, pink-red eyes, pale skin, and wore a red Shirt , a gray hoodie, black Jeans and pair of red-black shoes.
This was Freya Belland, her Xyz Counterpart.
Though in this instance her eyes were pure red flames. I assume that was her 'beserk' or 'awakened' state.

"YOU WANT ME TO FIGHT?! THEN I'M GOING TO TEAR YOU TO PIECES!", Freya declared.

Beserk is definetly a more fitting name.

"Wha- what did you do?", Izuku asked.

"the short version, she has multiple selves and at least one is a villain, though now she is 'merely' enraged. Once more, the big Picture will follow after this duel is over."

"I SUMMON EXTRA TRADER! (ATK: 1850) I BANISH THREE MONSTERS FROM MY EXTRA DECK TO DRAW ONE CARD WHEN HE HITS THE FIELD!"

A Businessman wearing what you'd call 'adventurer's gear', no need to describe more detail.

If her constant screaming seems hard to take seriously to you, it's not merely because you are reading text without seeing the visuals, I thought the same, but then again, she is as dangerous to me as she is to you.
Most importantly however, this restraining bracelet probably was probably still holding back some power and without it, her beserk state would presumably be much more terrifying.

"WHILE BANISHED FIRE POWER POWDER CAN SUMMON ITSELF BY DESTROYING ONE MONSTER I CONTROL. (ATK: 800) SINCE A FIRE POWER WAS SUMMONED WHILE FUSE IS BANISHED I SUMMON IT BY TAKING 600 POINTS OF DAMAGE! (ATK: 400) BUT WAIT; FIRE POWER EXSTINGUISHER CAN SUMMON ITSELF WHEN I WOULD TAKE DAMAGE FROM MY OWN ATTACK OR EFFECT AND TURN THE DAMAGE INTO HEALING! (FREYA LP: 600-1200)"

One heap of gunpowder with small demonic faces, then a cannon and a fire exstinguisher that also looked like they were fused with demons stood before me. Then the Helix bracelet extended itself again and the rage aura dissapeared.

"Uh, sorry for that.", Freya said, "Our soul-switch or whatever.", then she paused thinking about how she should explain it, "there was this original self and probably what this green guy would call a villain, and then there's a side self that's also a villain, who wants to be let out, so this bracelet restrains our power. - wait you actually just explained that, well beserk mode also is bad for short-term memory."

"I do, but I had to see for myself.", I explained to her, "and we Need to find a way to use this more safely in the duels you might end up carrying out for me. Without using it, it can't be trained. And in case this happens more often, If I don't give out a detailed Explanation for something immediately, it will be for after the duel."

"Still, for her to have this intense rage and for it to dissapear so suddenly seems very instable, where my power at 100% does intense damage to myself, hers might do unintentional damage to others at a small fraction and she can use it for slightly longer than me.", Izuku analyzed, "and you can't hold her back if the Helix bracelet fails to restrain her outside of here or can you?"

"I hope we have enough time to train in here.", Freya agreed, "anyway, I proceed by activating Rank Close Magic Burst Formation. This overlays Xyz monsters I control into one whose rank is equal to their total. XYZ SUMMON! Flare up, Fire Cannon Howitzer (ATK: 2500)"

Yes, it did have similarities to Ancient Gear Howitzer, but its Body was more shaped like a quadrupedal mythical winged beast, whose feathers were replaced with fire cannons.

"This method of 'Xyz Summoning' is as unusual as Blythe's Fusion and Link Summoning with trap cards, isn't it?", Izuku wondered.

"Let's just f**king go on, so we can talk about the important stuff.", she said.

I must say, the adjustment abilities of the people I gathered is rather remarkable.

"I detach and banish one overlay unit from Howitzer to increase his ATK by the amount of damage I took this turn."

"Your deck IS interesting, but I negate your card by having Reverie send Disgraced Nightmare to the GY."

"Sorry, but the Action Field, YOU set up still exists!", she said, nonchalantly picking up a card close to her, "this is supposed to require moving, but whatevs, I use the Action Card Unstoppable Dark, if there is even one DARK Monster on the field you can't negate my card effects! Congrats, you played yourself! I use the effect three times! (ATK: 2500-3100-3700-4300)"

"However, Reverie still instantly regains the lost attack points and I get to equip Yavix, Embodiment of Dreams and Embodiment of Sleep to it. (Reverie ATK: 5800-7100 DEF: 3200-4500)"

"I activate Xyz Treasure! With a single Xyz, I only draw one card, Then I use another Draw Power, Fusion Treasure! This Anti-Academia weapon, lets me draw two now, but before I do, you wanted stuff to be interesting, didn't you?
Then time to deactivate the bracelet again for a Little bit."

The Helix retracted itself again; and now she had brown flowing hair, lime-green eyes, pale skin, zephyrine's wore a green top-tank, a brown tight pants, pair of dark combat boots and dark fingerless gloves. This was Zephyrine, the Synchro Counterpart.

"*sigh* of course it'd be like that. And Izuku, there's only one of us left.", Zephyrine, " I won't activate the switch again for reasons Freya mentioned.
I attack Venerated Thought with Howitzer. (Severin LP: 5600-3600) I set two cards and end my turn, but not before the next Action Card."

Howitzer flapped its wings and fired the cannons at the same time, fanning the flames as it created them, leaving Venerated Thought to place to flee as the flames were to high for even flight, making him burn to ashes.

"I draw and activate Fusion of the Lost Vagary, This summons a Yavix Monster and also allows me to use Monster treated as equip spells as Fusion Material, I fuse Fading Existence and Reverie's non-Fusion equip spells, to summon Yavix the Downfall of torment (ATK: 2900), both embodiments are equipped to Reverie again, this time, I add Existence to my hand, Downfall of Torment's effects, increases his ATK by the total of your monsters strength and then equips all of them to himself (ATK: 2900-5400)
I attack directly with Reverie!"

"I activate the Continous trap Faunacea Oasis, I send one card for each of your monsters to the GY and gain 500 for each, I choose Faunacea Antidotphin and Theriakoala. (Zephyrine LP: 1200-2200)"Both have optional effects that activate 'when' they are sent to the GY, meaning they both miss timing, but that just means I can use this card! I activate the continous trap Faunacea Side Effects, for every time an effect missed timing so far, I get to negate one instance of damage, meaning both of your attacks will do nothing. Seeing a deck based around the mechanic of missing timing in action should be interesting enough to let me Play for a Little longer.
And you also want to see my unusual way of summoning Synchro monsters in Action, don't you?"

"Alright.", I said, moving towards the platform with the final Action card, "I'll take this here and give you exactly one more turn."

"Just out curiosity, is there even more than Fusion, Link, Xyz, Synchro?"

"I don't know about this world, but there's Pendulum and Ritual. But apart from Blythe, we all have only one summoning type. I start my turn with Magic Planter, I send Side Effect to the GY to draw 2 cards. I normal summon Faunacea Elixierat. (ATK: 1400) Then I'll activate Faunacea Cleansing, I send my rat to the GY to summon a Faunacea Synchro that is 3 Levels higher than it! Purify this unclean animal, and change it into a sanctified spectre! TRANSFORMATION SUMMON! Come forth, Level 7 Faunacea Potionmoraki! (ATK: 2800)"

A black crane appeared and immediately changed its color towards a silvery white, with a golden horn on its head.

"Medicine and animals and/or Yokai, this is definetly the weirdest one so far."

"The way it's played however, the previous one is only slightly less strange.", I said.

"I activate Potionmoraki's effect, I can revive a monster whose effect missed timing this turn, I choose his material, Elixierat. And since there was an effect that missed timing this turn, Rat can revive Theriakoala. And now I use the Action Card Spell Repeater, this card mimics my previous spell! If you didn't read all of its text earlier or somehow neglected to check the field, I'll suprise you with this! Faunacea Cleansing summons the Synchro Monster into the same zone its material was, meaning that not only you can outright cheat the Extra Monster Zone System!
The cute Koala will now turn into the creepy, but still not impure anymore, Level 6, Balmannegishi! (ATK: 2400)"

Koala and Rat and the earlier Dolphin looked like cartoonish version of their animals applying, creating or studying the respective cure they were named after, creating quite the dissonance to the scary creatures turned into forces of good. A Manegishi is a slender and tiny (but in this monster's case, the tiny part was ignored) and hairles humanoids resembling the typical depiction of a gray Alien. This one also wore a bag presumably one containing Medicine around its waist.

"Please, while in this realm, I can effectively control the duel in any way I wish, I do pay attention. As 2 effects missed timing this turn, Balmannegishi allows for 2 direct attacks coming from Faunacea monsters, but I activate the Action Spell Damage Lock, until your next turn you cannot deal battle damage unless you discard an Action Card before that Point. But there are none left."

"You said this was my last turn. So while this doesn't make perfect sense from a tactical perspective, I think you want to see this card in action too.
I connect the Trickster and the Demon Bird, to summon, Link 2, Wind Blade Dragon! (ATK: 2600 Marker: Bottom-left, Bottom-right)
If I didn't use Synchro Monsters here, my dragon would loose 800 Points for each that isn't one. I activate his main effect, I choose 3 Faunacea monsters from my deck, first you send one to the GY, then I choose a different one, the last gets shuffled into the deck, and Wind Blade gets his ATK increased by that monsters higher stat. I reveal DEF 700 Band-Aiduck DEF 2400 Pillobster and ATK 3000 Healiger."

Windblade Dragon's design was simple, yet impressive. It's Body resembled the combined shapes of Odd-Eyes and Clear Wing, but it consisted entirely out of a green storm

"I see, even if you don't have a perfect way to make effects 'miss timing', this only requires a second monster, which shouldn't be too hard too facilitate.", Izuku noted.

"You can have Pillobster in your GY.", I said.

"Then I send Healiger there and gain 700 ATK from putting the duck back into the deck. (Wind Blade Dragon ATK: 2600-3300) Could have given 3000, but you would have defeated me some other way.
It may not be the factually most useful card in my deck and isn't part of the Faunacea archetype, but it is what I would call the ace of my deck, not that there aren't other People who have a similar ace Monster. And with that Demonstration I end my turn."

"Since I don't have anymore demonstrations for you, I attack your Dragon with Reverie. (Zephyrine LP: 2200-3800=0)"

WINNER: Severin

"As a warning Izuku, the bracelet restraining her power isn't working perfectly, even if she doesn't deactivate it herself she automatically cycles through her previous selves. The more 'villainous' one should appear now.", I explained.

Olympe Belletor, she has white short hair, and messy bangs, yellow-amber eyes, pale skin, olympus's wears a white-yellow uniform, gray short pants to her knees, pair of white long boots, and a yellow lightning-bolt mark on her right arm,

"I bet you're thinking that I don't look that evil, unless you're afraid of white-haired people that is. I swear I'm just a bit rough on the edges, just without Freya's curse words.", she said with a fiendish smile.

"I assume what she did is part of the important things we have to discuss right now.", Izuku said cautiously.

"Well, to tell you the important parts...", I said and began explaining their story in a bit more detail than I did to you at the beginning of this chapter.

"That's a lot...", he muttered.

Since he wasn't parroting it, I'll give you those details: the bracelet was very roughly based of Ray's bracelets (you should know who that is) it's inreased size and shape wasn't just because out of functionality as far as restrainment goes, it should also make it harder for outside forces to take it away. (the lack of fashionability, I assume also prevents outsiders without knowledge of their purpose from wanting to do so) Olympe's insanity was similar to Mythia's, but only in some minor aspects.
She was fascinated with Yuri, but it turned from an innocent schoolgirl crush (keep in mind, she wasn't insane yet and Yuri was the 'bad guy' in this situation)
Into a more standard rivalry, to a hate/love relationship in the truest sense of the word. Therefore she won't know about Yuri's continued existence in this world until necessary or inavoidable as it could sent her completely off the rails. As for her actual crimes, those are participating in anything Academia did to unite the dimensions and revive Ray.
Any further details on Blythe's and the rest's past as well about Izuku Midoriya's past will be told by them as they deem fit or necessary.

"You also said something about a dueling related superpower, how does it work?", Izuku asked.

You have seen enough talks about the workings of D.E. my Explanation didn't differ significantly from the other ones, including what Yuya found out in his duel against me.

"I see. I wonder, in duels could I enhance my quirk with it?", Izuku said.

"I won't forbid you trying, but as I said, it will take a good while before you can feel how much you're straining yourself, so be careful and to illustrate it, imagine using your power without training didn't cause you any pain, until the point where your arm would need to be amputated, that's what D.E. is like for the untrained. We also don't know whether you are capable of using it."

"So, I'm just gonna assume whenever I or my other counterparts, that grinning bastards Yuri and his clones, or Serena and her duplicates suddenly had a new card, they were unconsciously experts at D.E., which means, I don't have to take Izuku's restrictions seriously.", Olympe said, who had been weirdly quiet during all of my explanations.

"Unfortunately, I know from experience that this isn't the case. Maybe you can only access your own individual D.E. supplies, maybe you cannot access Mythia's D.E. supplies unless you attempt to reawaken her, maybe Mythia's supplies have already been drained to almost nothingness by this point, whatever the reason, I will not allow you to test my second to last hypothesis unless Things get very dire."

"If you wanted to keep it a secret that this 'Kaede' or 'Kouhei' have summoned Yuya and by extension that grinning bastard to this world, you should have worded it differently.", Olympe smirked. Well, maybe I should have seen it coming, but I can adapt to firing a loose cannon.

"He is not from the same universe, in his world, all four of you don't even exist and Link Summoning didn't exist either. Pendulum Monsters were placed in zones apart from the outer spell and trap zones and you could summon any number of Extra Deck monsters you wanted.", I said.

"The first part might actually make her even more eager to defeat this Yuri.", Izuku noted.

"Yuri is Yuri. And I don't care if that came out wrong.", Olympe declared, "just means I can enjoy destroying him more often. And the weird ruleset of his home world is a rather tiny shortcoming. He probably has adjusted to it anyway, by focusing on Fusion summoning a single big boy."

"*sigh*, it was basically a coin flip. However, they can choose which of them takes the lead, which also could make a duel both easier and harder to occur."

"Aaanyway, there is one thing we still have to talk about, how am I going to duel, if I don't have a deck?"

"Are you stupid? Obviously he's gonna use that D.E. thing to make you one.", Olympe said.

"Indeed. I still have more than enough to do so.", I said, and created a light blue sphere, "touch this sphere with your hand. Depending on your character and thoughts, a different set of cards will created. I also can grant your mind some awareness of the working game, but it will be taught to you in a longer training session how to duel properly."

"Does it really matter whether he learns how to duel and how to duel well through magic or practice?", Olympe wondered.

"Learning strategy with some kind of quirk or magic is probably more harmful to the brain than simply feeding information, especially... I'm not quite sure how to word it.", Izuku theorized.

"He was gonna answer it himself anyways. How many times did we forget that he probably knows at least 90% about us?", Olympe said.

"Izuku was on the right track however. So, let your deck be created.", I said.

He took a step forward and touched the sphere with his hand. The look on his face was determined. The sphere's glow strengthened and briefly blinded all of us and then he stood there with a deck of cards.

"And here your duel disk.", I said, handing him one in the same color as his costume

"So, are you gonna upload the ruleset into his brain and duel him afterwards or do I get to do that?", Olympe asked.

"A good idea, you two will duel with Dark activated from the beginning. You are aware of how the ruleset and the contents of your deck, no flashy visuals for that ability.", I said.

"...Yes, I know how it works now.", Izuku said.

"Without further ado let's duel!"

Izuku Midoriya (4000lp) vs Olympe Belletor (4000lp)

Action Field: on

Dark

POV 2 Izuku

My first instinct was to get one of the Action Cards, even when I get better at this, I have to utilize everything in my arsenal, so I also immediately used my quirk to move faster and move to a platform that had an Action Card, then I had to somehow both place my cards on my duelist to utilize them while preventing Olympe from getting her Action Card for the turn.
That is I would have had to do so if Olympe didn't decide to just stay where she stood.

"You've never dueled, it would be boring and easy, so I'll let you get all 4 of them.", she said.

So she was overconfident, but before ending this turn, I should still scan and scout the field for the location of all 3 remaining Action cards, just to be sure.

"I discard Vision Hero Multiply Guy to summon Faris (ATK: 1600) then with Faris' second effect I place Vision Hero Increase as Continous spell in the spell and trap zone. I Tribute Faris to summon Increase and with his effect I summon Minimum Ray (DEF: 700)"

"Interesting. I expected for a new deck to be created from scratch, but this is an existing archetype.", Severin noted.

"Maybe it's because my world doesn't have dueling, I'm not as receptive to D.E. Maybe I won't be able to utilize it myself. How funny, considering, In my own world initially didn't even have a quirk.", I said, "I activate the Field Spell Fusion Recycling Plant, I use its effect to discard a card and add Polymerization from my deck to my hand and immediately use it to Fusion summon Vision Hero Adoration (ATK: 2800) I set one card and with the second effect of Recycling Plant I add Increase back to my hand."

This was pretty amazing, while my turn probably wasn't perfect, I somehow was able to play with relatively little hesitation, even though this was my first duel.

My next move after ending my turn obviously was to immediately run towards the location of the 2nd Action Card.

"Geez, you're sure in a hurry, I said I was gonna go easy, but whatevs. I activate the card Useless Restraint, this negates all effects of your cards that aren't Continous or Quick effects for one turn, now before you, act like a cliched anime character and wonders how this could be a good card move, I activate the effect of Lightning Wire Conductor, when a card is negated, I can Special Summon him.
(DEF: 0)"

I immediately verified its abilities and it has the ability to negate one of the users card's effects once per turn. While I only have seen six decks in this game and half of them were already noted to be unusual, this weirded out even me, even if she could activate incredibly strong effects in Exchange/after negating her own cards, such a deck surely couldn't be very practical.

"I then summon Lightning Wire Resistance, who immediately switches to defense mode (ATK: 500 DEF: 2000) Conductor's effect negates Resistance, when Resistance would be negated, I can add a card that lets me Fusion Summon from my deck to my hand.
Even though I am from the Fusion Dimension, this card is probably the least weird method to summon a monster out of all of us, Lighning Fusion allows me to fuse a Lightning Wire Monster, but also use cards on your field with negated effects, both Adoration and the Recycling Plant had an effect that only could be used during your turn, so I take them and both of my monsters to summon Lightning Wire Dragon (ATK: 3300) no fancy poem from me there.
I attack you directly."

"I activate the Action Spell, Action Reward, this increases our Life Points by 1000 for every Action Sell that we obtained in this duel. (Izuku LP: 4000-6000-2700)". I countered. I could have survived that strike without Action Reward, but she may have had a quick spell or quick effect that allowed for a second attack and I couldn't risk her getting an Action Card too, as that would increase her Life Points by 1000, which would make an even bigger difference than usually, as I only have regular Logical thinking as opposed to trained skill at this game (also the effect of Dragon, "Then as I took battle damage, I get to add Minimum Ray and Multiply guy as Continous trap cards to my spell and trap zone."

" 'sorry', but I'm not attacking twice, I was nice enough not to negate your spell with my Dragon.", Olympe said, "I want to savour your first time after all, I am not ashamed how this came across as well. I just set a card of my own and end my turn."

"My turn, draw, I use Aurora Draw to draw two cards.",As you may expect, I went immediately for the next Action Card, "I summon Elemental Hero Blazeman, he allows me to add another Polymerization from my deck to my hand, then I use the other effect of Blazeman to send Vision Hero Gravito from my deck to the GY and change Blazeman's name and stats to those of Gravito. (ATK: 1200-500 DEF: 1800-2000)
Then I activate Illusion, my face-down trap card. Now whenever a Vision Hero leaves the field, I can halve the ATK of one monster you control."

"Why didn't you use that card when I was about to use your monsters to fuse? You didn't even know yet that Lightning Wire Dragon can once per turn negate everything that's currently in the front or backrow.", Olympe wondered.

"I was thinking I should wait and then changed my mind to making use of the fact that you weren't going all-out.", I said.

"So, you were nervous and began overthinking.", Severin said.

"Yeah, that's accurate.", I said.

"But I'll use a little bit more of my power, so I negate the effects of Blazeman so he has his original stats and name back.", Olympe said.

"Thankfully, I can tribute any kind of hero to summon Multiply Guy to the field. Then I activate Double Summon to normal summon Faris and tribute him to summon Minimum Ray. Since a Vision Hero left the field, I can halve the ATK of Lightning Wire Dragon (ATK: 3300-1650)
I activate Polymerization to fuse them into Vision Hero Release (ATK: 2700), and since two Vision Heroes left the field, your Dragon's ATK get quartered.
(ATK: 1650-825-414) Lowering his ATK by that much isn't gonna be helpful once he's off the field, so I activate Release's effect, restoring his ATK and increasing his ATK by the difference it originally had. (Lightning Wire Dragon ATK: 412-3300 Vision Hero Release ATK: 2700-5587)
Then I attack Lightning Wire Dragon!"

"I activate Lightning Trip Wire, I get to negate your attack by negating the target's and the attacker's effect! And with a negated effect, Release loses his boost. (ATK: 5587-2700)"

"I activate the Action Spell Dark Strike, Release gains 1000 ATK for every Dark-Attribute Monster on the field and both of our monsters have that Attribute! (ATK: 2700-4700) And my second Action Card too, Consolation Assault allows me to have a direct attack at you after you negated mine, but it Drops Release's ATK by that of your strongest Monster. (ATK: 4700-1400) Can you negate this? (Olympe LP: 4000-2600)"

"Ts, to think I would receave a hit from a newbie.", Olympe grumbled, "but relying on Action Cards all the time will get you nowhere."

"First, then you should have tried to prevent me from getting any and second: I didn't 'rely' on it, I used everything I had at my disposal, unlike you.", I said, positioning myself next to the last Action Card, "your turn. And I use the card on the ground right away, Stolen Power, takes away all of Lightning Wire's ATK and increases Release's ATK by the difference between their original ATK. (Lightning Wire Dragon ATK: 3300-0 Vision Hero Release ATK: 1400-2000)"

"You definetly used up all Action Cards, but maybe you should have waited on this one, but it's not my J´job anyway to make sure you words hold up.
But I changed my mind and I'll go serious now.
Since his effect is negated I tribute my Dragon to summon Lightning Wire Coaxial who does not count as regular normal summon if I used a negated monster, (ATK: 2450)and since I tributed a thunder-type Monster, I get to negate the effect of any card on the field, I choose himself, which triggers his other effect so I can banish Release, but this also halves his ATK. (ATK: 2450-1225)
Then I activate my own Field Spell Lightning Wire Network, first it gives all of my monsters 600 ATK and DEF. (Coaxial ATK: 1225-1825)
After that I activate my own Aurora Draw to draw two cards, of which I activate Lightning Wire Untanglement, since all of my monsters have their effects negated, they go all to the grave to Fusion summon one monster!"

"And that regardless of the original requirement number.", I read out, "and if you actually used more material than needed, it would let you draw equal to the amount of wasted monsters. Maybe this isn't as clunky in practice as it initially seemed, only difficult to use correctly."

"I summon Lightning Wire Unicorn with Untanglement's effect. (ATK: 2600-3200) I still have a normal summon left, but I use Unicorn's effect to summon Lightning Wire Gauge from my Hand (ATK: 1800-2400). of Course, Gauge has its effects negated right after, but this allows me to seach another Lightning Wire, in this case Litz, which can skip tribute if I control a negated monster.(ATK: 2800-3400) oh and he also doesn't count towards my one normal summon per turn."

"And on top of that it can double the power of all negated monsters once per turn. Yeah, they're definetly as clunky as I thought.", I said.

"Then I self negate Unicorn and activate Litz' effect! (Unicorn ATK: 3200-6400 Gauge ATK: 2400-4800) Since I'll switch back to Blythe after this, any last words?", Olympe asked.

"You have sometimes have a... dirty sense of humor and seem to really not like Action Cards, but you don't seem like you are the villainous one.", I said.

"Eh, only Yuri brings out the worst in me. pun intended once more.", Olympe said.

"She is not with Academia right now, so maybe she personally has no reason to commit any heinous acts at the moment.", Severin suggested.

"Or that. Now, Lightning Wire Unicorn, attack directly! " (Izuku LP: 2700-6400=0)

WINNER: Olympe

POV 3 Blythe

And then I was myself again.

"S-so, what's the final verdict?", I asked.

"I will keep you and your Counterparts even with the risks and Izuku dueled fairly well for someone who only saw one duel and merely knew the rules and card effects of his deck.", Severin answered.

"Ah, but I'm pretty sure I made a lot of mistakes.", he said sheepishly.

"But still less than I would expect most people. Even with what I've given you, many would have made more blunders than you may have done.", Severin said.

So, he didn't think too hard about how well Izuku played, if he only said "may have done" as opposed to "did".

"But, forgive me for asking, why did you gather someone without dueling skills in the first place?", I cautiously asked.

"I was wondering about that too.", Izuku admitted.

"I judged myself a competent enough teacher, that for my second envoy, I could focus solely on the person's character, rather than their dueling skill.
Someone with the ambition of becoming the greatest hero like you could be very useful."

"For what though?", I asked.

"That brilliantly ties into my first 'mission' for you. Kaede Urashima's envoys might be doubting her, I am not aware about Kouhei's, but look for them as well, as you might be able to convince them once and for all to switch sides to us, because what greater could a hero achieve than to turn a villain into an ally?"

That still sounded kinda sketchy to me, but we have next to no choice, but to be on his side, I don't know what the other counterparts are thinking right now, but I shouldn't doubt him on principle, we'll find out just how well-intentioned he really is soon enough.

"Ironically, I feel Blythe is doubting you right now. Not sure about Frey, Zephyrine and Olympe. She probably doesn't care.", Izuku said.

"Act as though you were on my side already and you'll see why you should be. On a different note, I should introduce you about another ally of mine later.", Severin said, "but first, some more concrete details on where those potential allies might be.
They reside in 'Den City', where I will give you a temporary residence, pretend you are siblings, for simplicity's sake.
You will find them inside of the local school or close to a hotdog stand named Café Nagi.
And as for he exact people you're supposed to meet, this is how they look.", he then made an illusory image of them appear and one of them was..., "Their names are Mayoi Miyabino, Yusaku Fujiki and we have that alternate Version of Yuya."

"I mean, Olympe, already figured and you didn't even try to refute it, but why couldn't he have been one of Kouhei's, since you clearly don't have as much faith in their redemption!", I complained. It didn't make a huge difference whose side she was on, but with her anything counts.

"Yeah, it seems like Olympe needs to be turned into a hero the most.", Izuku said.

"It's not that I don't believe in their redemption, it's just that at the moment at least, it is going to be very difficult, but I have deduced their identities as well, here is the first one", he let another Image appear, "his name is Jean Michel Roget, I presume there is a Version of him in your world too, isn't it?"

"Yes, I think Zephyrine would want to duel him, but not as crazy about it as Olympe.", I said. Seriously, why this guy too?, "Any other variant of someone from my world here?"

"Not as far as I know. I can't show you the second one's appearance, as we cannot observe the same spot in the other world unless our envoys meet, Kaede was more explorative after finding her envoys, but Kouhei had a constant view on his. But I did manage to deduce that it was someone named Chihiro Himegeki who goes to Den Academy, as whenever I would have observed his Location, it was blocked off."

"How to they appear online? Do they look the same or can you design some sort of Avatar?", Izuku wondered.

"Indeed, you can, but for the huge fights online, you will get the info you need once they start.", Severin said.

"And when will they start?", Izuku wondered.

"Very soon, probably tomorrow or the day after, at most 2 hours after School, so you have to learn as much as you can the rest of this day.", Severin answered.

"WHAT?! Even for my quirk training with All-Might, I had more time! And even there I was far from done!", Izuku gasped.

"Maybe Severin is actually a really good teacher, like he said he was gonna be.", I said.

"Yeah, I hope so.", he muttered.

"There is no Nned to worry, simply focus on the current objective. Even if you fail to make them turn to our side, I have enough plans even for beyond the coming battles. And there is another ally I'll tell you about later."

I can thank nightshroud96 and night magician for this chapter. If you read chapter 5's reviews, you know which was from who.
Though I did change the MHA character from
Tokoyami to the actual MC, because it would obviously be more interesting to see Izuku vs Yuya than pretty much any combination of the former. And yes, that duel will happen in the next arc.
I hope I did his character right for those who saw MHA and wasn't too confusing for those who did not. Funny enough, I decided to watch MHA just to be able to do this concept any sort of justice and now I'm a fan of it.
While Mayoi's initial surname was based on Izuku, at that point I still was going to send Tokoyami into this story. Same goes for naming Dusktopia Kouhei.

As for Blythe, yes sometime after this story, I might write a prequel to Arc-VRAINS about her Story, but since that would involve basically an Expansion pack of Arc-V with everything building towards a very similar end, even if the Extra Monster zone always existed in that, and since the 'station of the canon'-roblem bugs me about most of fanfic, it would have to be a heavily altered path, so it's not the biggest on my priority list.
As for their decks, they were much more fun to come up with and write than Lucky Flora and Fauna. Not Just because of their Gimmicks, but because naming them wasn' as suprisingly hard as combining casino games and trees.

Also, there will be a new opening and next chapter.
