Chapter 18: Freya
Mother nature bends to no man nor anyone
There Piper and Orcelle were at the door of the prison back in OZ once again. Orcelle opened the door guiding Piper to the last door to the left. She recited the spell and the door swung open. There she was again crawled in the corner holding her knees.
"Back again," Freya said without turning your face. "I told you, they are on their own."
"My dear Freya," Orcelle responded and Freyah quickly turned her head. She came faced with the Phoenix and her mother. She locked eyes with her mother as she rose from the ground.
"I heard you didn't want to leave this place," Piper stated. Freya trailed over to her mother and stood before her.
"What are you doing here?" Freya questioned.
"I'm here to help," Piper asked.
Freya laughed, "What can you do?"
"Tough cookie I told you," Orcelle reminded Piper.
"We can fix this mess together," Piper stated.
"We cannot fix anything without Wyatt. Find my brother," Freya said.
"How about we find him together?" Piper suggested. "Look I don't know what's happened but I'll be damned if I leave you here. So move it," Piper added. Freya said nothing as she walked past her mother. The two following her out.
When they reached outside the prison Piper began to speak again "so first things first-" before she could finish Freya disappeared within the wind swiftly.
"Told you," Orcelle said rolling her eyes as she looked over at Piper.
"Great, just great. What now?"
"We wait; the more you push her the farther she'll go" the phoenix said grabbing Piper's hand and twirling within a portal.
When they made it back to the attic they were greeted by Jetalunus.
"I thought we had a deal Orcelle?" the moon goddess questioned holding her arms.
"Pipe down I asked her to take me to her, Piper said.
"Leave us," Jetalunus said. Orcelle said nothing as she disappeared within a pink light.
"What do you think you're doing? She questioned her mother.
"Oh finally...are you ready to talk?" Piper replied.
"And what does that mean?"
"It means you've been avoiding me."
"More like I don't care to indulge in things that won't be forever. I am trying to piece my family back together as you can see, "
"And I am here to help with that. You clearly needed our help,"
"Right as if I couldn't do it without my mother. " Melinda said sarcastically.
"What did I do?"
"More like what didn't you do?"
"Tell me," Piper shot back.
"I don't have time for this," the moon goddess replied starting to walk out the attic.
"Make time." Piper said "I'm here now so…" but before Piper finished her sentence it started to storm outside. Heavy rain pouring down quickly. Jetalunus turned around trailing to the window; Piper joined her. "Where the hell did that come from?"
"Freya,"
"She can-"
"Among her being a healer; she can master all the elements. Earth, Wind, Fire and Water." Melinda trailed on.
"Ah," Piper managed to spit out as thunder shook the house.
"You really know nothing of the forces at play,"
"And yet you haven't provided any information," Piper said moving her daughters hair behind her ear.
"Anger is like a storm rising up from the bottom of your consciousness." Jetalunus spit out as she looked over at her mother. "You want to help?"
"Yes," Piper answered.
"Then start with her," Jetalunus answered. Piper nodded in agreement. Jetalunus smiled briefly before grabbing her mother's hand and disappearing within a light.
They arrived at the San Francisco bridge as they watched Freya control the rain. Piper was having flashbacks from when they went up against the Titans. Jetalunus looked over at her mother and nudged her; signaling for her to approach.
"Freya!"
"Go away!" Freya said holding her hands out making the rain pour down heavier.
"Stop this now!" Piper shot back.
"Why should I?" Freya barked back.
"Because this will not fix anything and it won't make the pain go away. Trust me I've been here," Piper responded.
"What! You understand how I feel? How could you possibly...you have no idea what's going on here!" Freya shouted over the rain.
"Like I told your sister tell me so I can help," Piper replied. Freya turned her back to face her mother and eldest sister.
"We'll see about that," Freya said, slowing her heavy breath and the rain matching the tempo. She said nothing more as she disappeared within the rain.
Piper turned around to face her eldest daughter "has she always been this stubborn?"
"Certainly," Jetalunus said trailing over to her mother. Catching a glance at the view before making them disappear within the light.
