A month later….
Convened in Her Honor Matthews Latoia Matthews's courtroom, Tynie, Bobby, JT, and Liza find themselves surrounded by other victims of Viana's. Sitting to the far left, she, Leif, and their other employees are all in cuffs and jail jumpsuits. By them, is a man in a loose fitting suit, and across from him is Executive A.D.A. Tom Langer, whom identifies himself while looking pissed. Quietly wondering why, Tynie's surprised, by Leif jumping from his seat. Glaring Her Honor Matthews down as well, he screams "Richter, entweder lassen Sie uns alle gehen, oder ich werde alle hier töten ... beginnend mit Ihnen!"
[Judge, either you let us go, or I'll kill everyone here… starting with you!]
Seconds after that rings out, Tynie leaps from her seat, and yells "Leif, die einzige Möglichkeit, hier jemand anderem etwas anzutun, insbesondere Ihrer Ehre, besteht darin, mich zuerst buchstäblich zu enthaupten!"
[Leif, the only way you'll have a chance to do anything against anyone else here.. Especially Her Honor Matthews... Is by literally decapitating me first!]
Raising her left hand so it's palm faces forward, Her Honor Matthews debunks "Ma'am, I know German. You didn't know I would, but I never expected a victim in a case I'm presiding over, to volunteer their life in my defense. I'm aware, it also covers everyone else here, but I can't allow it. If I did, I'd be disbarred, removed from the bench, and prosecuted for participating in a murder. You may not have known, but all that gave me perfect grounds to order the defense's end of this hearing; to be moved to segregative custody and video conferencing. It'll take a bit, but once it's done, I'll need you to come to my witness stand and testify to what drove your offer." "Your Honor, that won't be a problem." Tynie demurs. Exchanging a nod, and reclaiming her seat, Tynie witnesses the transfer she just heard about, happen. Ten minutes later, she hears Her Honor Matthews repeat the testimony requirement, only to cross the courtroom. Claiming the witness seat, she spends another five minutes, explaining her motives. As she goes quiet, Tynie sees E.A.D.A. Langer rise, to ask "Mrs. Vantman, do you realize your offer, gave me perfect grounds to file for this case to be upgraded to a death penalty worthy one?" "I didn't, until now. It's fine, but I'm not OK with taking restitution. By my ethics, removing the possibility of it saving someone else's financial household, is akin to making Leif's threat come true. You may not have known, but my husband, dually retired ARMY CID Sergeant and NYPD Detective First Grade Robert "Bobby" Vantman, gave me a dual sided consent. On one end, it allows me to cite those credentials, whenever I'm dealing with active duty law-enforcement agents. He understands I take it to emphasize judges, especially the US Supreme Court justices. I'm not sure if anyone else here did, but it leads into the second part. Yesterday, he gave me consent to check our financial household, since it's governed by an account in his name. We're fine, and I have proof on me, that I'll gladly show you or Her Honor Matthews. All you'd have to do is ask, but I'd need it back, before we head home. Sorry, but that was his lone hitch." Tynie denies. "Mrs. Vantman, I'd make the same rule, if I were in his position. You didn't know, and it's fine, but now I need to know, something else. If you could have your end of the restitution given to any other victim, who would it be?" E.A.D.A. Langer inquires. "It'd be the elderly couple I passed, on the right, on my way up here. I saw proof he's a World War 2 vet, out of the corner of my eye, so my choice is another matter of my ethics. Just so the record's clear on that one, it's a… I believe the phrase is… spousal intervention on a mutual respect of service act. You've already heard how I can base it, too." Tynie absolves.
Slowly turning to face her, Her Honor Matthews inquires "Mrs. Vantman, is there anything you wouldn't intervene on?" "Your Honor, it depends on three things. Namely, my being put on new medical restrictions which prohibit it, my being judicially ordered not to, or my finding out someone else has better way to step in." Tynie hedges. "Your Honor, that answer, left me with a question. Will you pardon my using the phrase "balls the size of church bells?" E.A.D.A. Langer queries. "As long as it's not done in a derogatory fashion, yes." Her Honor Matthews quantifies. Bringing her gaze to Her Honor Matthews's, Tynie rebuts "Your Honor, that's not a problem, either. E.A.D.A Langer may hate how I just lumped him into my answer, but it's because I've dealt with the freshly-pardoned line, in a couple ways. One, I've been asked if anyone's ever told me I have it, so often I've lost count. The other, I've been told the answer's yes, by people with credentials ranging from federal judge to delivery person, just as much. I've never been offended by it, because I've been called a lot worse, by all the folks who've caused me to intervene. Here's the thing, if you want the list recapped for the record, I'll need an obscenely extensive language pardon." "You just got it, Mrs. Vantman." Her Honor Matthews eludes. Tucking her bangs out of her eyes, Tynie nods, and resumes her prior pose. "I need to clear up my end of that, before we go any further, Mrs. Vantman. How you just blended respecting my status in this case, and Her Honor Matthews's time into speaking the truth in your last answer, is a respect we rarely get. So, getting offended by it, wouldn't be right." E.A.D.A Langer intrudes. "OK." Tynie gasps.
Clearing her throat; she focuses on retaining her end of the latest deal, seeing numerous eyes bulge in response to the vulgar nature of her answer. Waiting until she's done, E.A.D.A. Langer reckons "Mrs. Vantman, I just realized. We haven't discussed how you were able to understand Leif so quickly, let alone why you chose such a graphic example to prove your point." "On the first one, while I waited to be served for this hearing, I've used a phone app called "SpeakWorld," to learn German. It's free, and one of the lessons covered urgent translations, in case you suspect someone's threatening you. As you saw, I reacted the second after that hunch came to me. Here's the thing, it was trailed by another theory, the only way Leif would take me seriously is, if I went to the furthest possible extreme. Sorry that rhymed, but I'm still worried about Her Honor Matthews's safety, and that of everyone else on our side of the case. You see, I stopped putting anything past Leif, the second I heard my uncle Jeremiah Strickland, start yelling in pain. I have papers that explain, why I didn't know we were related until a few years ago on me, too. Now, I'm torn: most of me wants to hand them to Her Honor Matthews so she can see them, and the rest wonders if Leif or a member of his crew will warp it into reason to enforce his threats. Yeah, this may sound selfish, but now I know how my offer would affect Her Honor Matthews's career and freedom: I'd rather make revisiting it a last resort." Tynie stipulates. "Mrs. Vantman, that's not selfish. It's understandable, but I'll handle providing that evidence. You weren't aware, but I got copies of the papers you referenced, while resolving FOIA requests for this case. After learning Leif's a German national, whose visa expired while he was incarcerated, I had no choice. Should he be convicted: I'll have to notify ICE of his sentence, and it's target date, so they can update their records." E.A.D.A. Langer rebuffs. "Just so I'm clear. Would it mess up your case for the death penalty if, I swore the only way my family and I will attend the execution is, if Her Honor Matthews orders it? If not, would I be held in contempt if, I vowed my husband, cousin, aunt and uncle will vouch my testifying to it being a family rule?" Tynie interrogates. "Mrs. Vantman, before I have your questions answered, I have one for you. Has anyone ever told you, you handle court hearings, with the finesse of a veteran attorney?" E.A.D.A. Langer inquires. "That's something else I've gotten so much, I've lost count. Unfortunately, it's due to my and my family's histories of having criminals and corrupt cops target us; and having poor excuses for medical equipment companies join them. I've never dealt with a case, that has a flood of FOIA papers in it, before. If that proof wasn't included in yours, just say you need me to get mine, and hand it to Her Honor Matthews. Of course, I'd need time to do it, and to get the forms back, before I go home." Tynie redetermines.
Aligning gazes with Tynie, again, Her Honor Matthews rescinds "Mrs. Vantman, I admire how far you took preparing for this hearing. However, I authorized his so called flood of FOIA papers, so what you were told about evidence, stands. You don't have to worry about your family's rule being an issue, or being held in contempt, anymore. I've had other victims tell me the same thing, but I'll revisit the verifications you mentioned; when it's their turn to testify." "Alright, Your Honor." Tynie submits. Deeming it his cue, E.A.D.A Langer spends twenty minutes, effectively escorting Tynie through most of her testimony. As the timeline ends, Leif stands up, and bellows "Lass mich bei dieser Schlampe, damit ich sie töten kann, weil sie mich alles gekostet hat!"
[Let me at that bitch, so I can kill her for costing me everything!]
Snarling a breath, Tynie glares at the video conferencing TV, and debases "Möge Ihre Ehre meine Formulierung vergeben, aber Leif, ich weiß, was Sie versuchen zu ziehen.
[May Her Honor Matthews forgive my phrasing, but Leif, I know what you're trying to pull. You believe, acting like a total belligerant jackass will get you out of your cuffs, so you can prove your threats. As the obscenely proud wife of a retired NYPD Detective, who's related to another, a couple Captains, and four retired federal judges: I know that's so far from the truth it's fucking scary. So really, all you're doing is: giving me and my family more grounds not to attend your execution, and making it so E.A.D.A. Langer has the perfect way to make your time before dyin' be without contacting the outside world again. I'm aware you may not give a shit, but he's learning now: all it'll take for me to defend him on it's, being contacted saying it's required!]
Clearing his throat, E.A.D.A. Langer queries "Mrs. Vantman, nur damit die Akte und die Angeklagten klar sind. Als Sie sagten, Sie würden meine Strafverfolgungstaktik verteidigen, wenn Sie darüber kontaktiert würden, meinten Sie, ich könnte Sie anrufen, oder würde dies eine Benachrichtigung per Einschreiben erfordern?"
[Mrs. Vantman, just so the record, and defendants are clear. When you said you'd defend my prosecutory tactics if you're contacted on it, did you mean I can call you or would it require a notice by certified mail?]
Snap-turning her head, Tynie hinders "Es hängt davon ab, ob. Treffen Sie sich mit mir, damit ich meine Kontaktinformationen außerhalb der Angeklagten und der Verteidigung bestätigen kann?"
[It depends. Will you meet with me, so I can confirm my contact information away from the defendants and defense's earshot?]
"Sie haben Recht, um dieses Treffen zu bitten, Frau Vantman. Wir haben erfahren, warum ich dem zumindest zustimmen kann." E.A.D.A. Langer notions.
[You're justified in asking for that meeting, Mrs Vantman. We've experienced why, so the least I can do is, agree to it.]
"IN ORDNUNG. Jetzt muss ich erklären, warum ich bei beleidigenden Richtern grundsätzlich gegen meine Ethik verstoßen habe. Leif hat bewiesen, dass er nicht die Art ist, anständige Sprache zu hören, also dachte ich, meine Hand sei gezwungen. Wenn Ihre Ehre nicht einverstanden ist, brauche ich ein paar Minuten, um meinem Mann meine Sachen zu geben, bevor mich die Gerichtsvollzieher wegen dieser Verachtung beschuldigen." Tynie deems.
[OK. Now, I need to explain why I just basically violated my ethics on offending judges. Leif's proven, he's not the kind to listen to decent speech, so I figured my hand was forced. If Her Honor Matthews disagrees, I'll need a few minutes to give my stuff to my husband, before the bailiffs take me in on that contempt charge.]
Deftly reusing her gaze matching pose, Her Honor Matthews rebukes "I wasn't offended by how you answered that, Mrs. Vantman. Rather, it left me curious, about something you may not expect. Since we're enduring a court translators union strike, are you willing to serve as one for the remaining victims for the rest of this hearing? If so, how do you want compensated?" "Your Honor, on your first question, yes. On your second, you all can clear it by having a cup of coffee, tea, or beer at home. You may be surprised by that, but I fear, asking for more will put you at an obscenely high risk of losing everything. I'd rather avoid that, but the reason I split my idea between coffee, tea, and beer is: asking anyone if they're medically forbidden from drinking alcohol or restricted on caffeine, violates another core tenet of my ethics code." Tynie extolls. "Mrs. Vantman, would it offend you if, I essentially swore your ethics make you a dying breed?" Her Honor Matthews asks. "No. If anything, it gives me a second reason to tell you, that's another thing I've gotten so much I lost track. The first, is the fact I'm under oath. Now, I'd like to make sure everyone involved in our hearing's clear, on how easy taking my new post will be. All I'd need is, released from this stand, and given a few minutes to get to it's right." Tynie dissents. "Mrs. Vantman, you'll get it after I find out if the defense has any more questions for you." Her Honor Matthews obstructs.
Understandably nodding, Tynie learns the answer's no, and begins living out her newest deal. An hour into it, she sees tears line the eyes, of one of the elders she described earlier. "Ma'am, what's wrong?" Tynie frets. "Mrs. Vantman, you can call me Elsie. I appreciate the respect you just intended, but there's something about my husband and I, you don't know. We got gift cards to Viana's spa, from our kids, who refuse to help us any other way. Like you, I have proof on me, but that's not the whole reason why I'm trying not to cry. We barely know you, but you showed us true love. You may not have realized I'd see it that way, but still." Elsie corrects. "Elsie, you're right. I didn't expect that, but there may be a way, I can help you, again. All I'd have to do is, find out if asking you to meet with me before I meet with A.D.A Langer, will mess up his case. If the answer's no, you'll learn the rest of my plan then, because it's not safe to explain now. You can blame that, on how Leif's acted since we first learned he exists, too." Tynie disqualifies. "Mrs. Vantman, given the timing, I'd have to serve as a witness in your meeting. You weren't sure, but you were right to arrange for that to be settled, in a more confidential setting. I'll show you ladies the safest one I know, while Her Honor Matthews considers her verdict, too." E.A.D.A. Langer rescinds. "Sounds good to me." Elsie permits. "Same here." Tynie notions.
Considering it another cue, Her Honor Matthews resumes the hearing, which lasts another hour. Finishing it by ordering a two hour recess, she sees her courtroom empty out, then leaves it herself. Escorted into a nearby office, Tynie, Elsie and her husband learn it's a satellite DA's one, as E.A.D.A. Langer closes the door. Gazing between the elders by her, Tynie admits fears about their safety after they leave court, then explains what caused them. "I swear to God, if I knew I could use my phone in here: I'd call Elder Welfare Protection Services, to see if they can investigate your kids. Since I don't, at least not yet, I have to apologize." Tynie bemoans in closing. Surprising her, a fairly young looking woman announces "Ma'am, I'm E.A.D.A. Langer's assistant, Heather Borstein. I didn't want to be rude, but a Jessie Pabsten filed charges on her mom and dad, an hour ago. She had evidence, they're plotting to bankrupt, an Elsie and Walter Pabsten and sell off everything they own. As A.D.A. Diane Heinker understood it, the plot came out because Viana's payroll wasn't successful in murdering that couple. I know, because I got called into her office for a debriefing, because of it's connection to E.A.D.A. Langer's case. As I speak, she's filing for Jessie to get a protective detail, until her 21st birthday, which is in three days. At that point, she'll be required to get everything our state mandates for blended carry, and get a protective escort to the court hearings against her parents. Later today, they'll go in on no bonds, for conspiring to defraud and bankrupt elders, and conspiring to endanger elders. If A.D.A. Heinker gets evidence to make those the flat-out version, she will." "Heather, you can call me Mrs. Vantman. I have a few questions. One, would it mess up the new case if I cut Jessie a written recommendation, to Sean's Firearm's Emporium? If not, can I borrow a pen and paper for ten minutes? Either way, how fast can you take my phone off my side and use it to have the charges upgraded to reflect… I believe it's Walter's… veteran status?" Tynie counterproposes. "Mrs. Vantman, I swear you have a heart the size of Texas. Unfortunately, the only way I can let Heather help with the referral is, if you sign an affidavit attesting to it being done of your own free will. You may have to appear at the other hearings, to authenticate it, though." E.A.D.A. Langer interrupts. "You know how to reach me for that. If she'll get me the pen, paper, and affidavit: I'll clear the rest, right now." Tynie recoils. "What about the upgraded charges?" Walter worries. "I'll call Diane, to have her make it happen while Mrs. Vantman and Heather are settling the rest." E.A.D.A. obliges. "Alright." Walter breathes. "Mrs. Vantman, I didn't expect to learn what we have. Now, I don't feel like what you asked for is, good enough." Elsie mopes. "Elsie, I believe that's the power of handshakes. We can share one, before we continue our court recess. You just got horrendous news about your kids, which has inspired me to write a separate notice to Jessie. That one, will tell her to get everything from her ATM pincodes to her doctor changed over ASAP, and watch her credit report. If she finds anything that isn't supposed to be on there, I'm advising she makes a federal case against her parents for it. Just in case you're wondering, I'm an ex-judicially afforded defender, who's had to do that numerous times since, which is how I know the order it must have. Beyond it, and I hate saying this, all we can do for today is: exchange phone numbers to keep in touch, and finish out the case that brought us to meet each other. I'll keep your number private, but I'd like mine done the same way." Tynie refutes. "Mrs. Vantman, although your latest offer's based on smart moves, it's unnecessary. A.D.A. Heinker already drew up that notice, and told me, it'd make the evidence aspect of those future cases, carry more weight. I'll have to get Elsie and Walter's contact information, so I can update them on the other case, though. Like you, I'll keep it private, unless a judge orders differently." Heather desists.
Curtly nodding, Tynie nearly speaks again, when Walter asks "Mrs. Vantman, would you help us with the number idea?" "Depends on if you'll let me handle your phone, and if Heather's OK with putting her phone number on one of her boss's business cards, and holding that above it. If those answers are yes, and you have text messaging: I'll text me and Heather your number, save it, return your phone, put mine up, and do the written recommendation. If you don't have texting, I'll swap your phone for mine, get your number off the first one, text it to me and Heather from the second, and go from there." Tynie hesitates. "You'll have to do the second batch, Mrs. Vantman. I'm sorry." Elsie ruminates. "It's fine, Elsie." Tynie sates.
Nodding all around, Tynie's given Walter's phone, which she finds, has an issue. "Whoever set this up; did it in a way that'll drain your battery and possibly even burn out your screen. Based on my experience, that's not covered by any phone warranties or insurance, but there's a simple solution. All I need is, your consent to reset this; and let it lead into the rest of our deal." Tynie repudiates. "Go ahead, Mrs. Vantman." Walter allows. Ducking away to get the pen, paper, and affidavit, Heather's diverted, by a knock at the door. Opening it, she finds a couple men standing outside, as one laments "My apologies, Heather. I got word, the defendants in the Viana's case have begun leveling threats against all the victims. You know courthouse safety protocol requires married ones, or ones with children, are reunited ASAP… in case an evacuation order issued." "Yeah. Officer Danton, I'll bring Mr. Vantman to his wife; and let E.A.D.A. Langer know why." Heather intends. Abruptly nodding, Officer Danton leaves, allowing the last promises to come true. "E.A.D.A. Langer, my wife didn't know that'd come out so quickly, when she made the deal with you. I'm not sure how much she's gotten done, but if there's anything that needs drawn up or signed, I'll do it." Bobby recounts. "Mr. Vantman, I didn't expect that to happen so fast myself. If I would've, I'd have flatly denied your wife's offer, for her safety. All she has left is: a phone number exchange between herself, my assistant Heather, Elsie and Walter, a written recommendation for their granddaughter Jessie Pabstan to a Sean's Firearm's Emporium, and to sign an affidavit attesting to that all being done of her own free will. We'd have gotten more done, if news didn't break, of Elsie and her husband Walter being victims in another case. If you want, I can recap those specifics, right now." E.A.D.A. Langer replies. "As I said, the paperwork angle is on me, now. You just gave me another reason why; but if you need us to testify; just have us served. I'll have my wife recap that case's specifics, when we get home, too. You didn't know I'd choose that, but it's because we don't know if the news Officer Danton got, will change our current case's recess." Bobby rebuffs. "Alright, Mr. Vantman. I'll have Heather get you everything you need." E.A.D.A. Langer elicits.
Simply nodding, Bobby sees the directive come true, then splits proving the latest deal with his wife. Once all the involved items are secured, they exit the office, and go to lunch. Just under an hour later, they rejoin the other victims, in Her Honor Matthews Matthews's courtroom. Glancing around it, she announces the guilty verdict, and uses the latest threats to support a death sentence. Then; she forbids everyone in the courtroom from attending the executions, and orders Tynie's wish on the restitution to be delayed. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I've come into new information about the intended recipients. Mrs. Vantman may not have known, but given how my sentence was justified: I'm uncomfortable with delving into more specifics, in the defendants's earshot. The intended recipients will get a written notice, which explains when the delay will be lifted, around when the rest of you get my other orders." Her Honor Matthews concludes.
Practically leaping from her seat, again, Tynie prays "Your Honor, I learned exactly what you mean by that, in my meeting with E.A.D.A. Langer. He may not have expected this, but I'm using a mix of your last decision, my not knowing how traffic will be after you release us, and my not knowing if any other drivers will be intoxicated, to delay one of our deals. Given the fact, who this one involves is my ride, my stall tactic's a matter of our safety. It'll be lifted, after we've gotten a chance to relax, in a private location, though. You may hate my lack of bluntness on that, but it was a split-second decision, to keep the defendants from getting more information they can use to further the most recent case-related endangerment conspiracies. As I understand those, the defense went from hearing them, straight to immediately sanctioning them, and playing messenger on them. Honestly, it's why I don't put absolutely anything past anyone on that side of this case."
Standing up, E.A.D.A. Langer instills "Your Honor, she didn't know, we took the news the same way. It's fine, but I'll be filing for the defense's permanent disbarment, after this hearing. I know how to get her to testify at future ones, but I'm not elaborating on it, within the earshot of those who inspired my decision. You both were right, there are too many dangerous variables involved, for it to be safe to divulge a lot of specifics. If that weren't the case, I'd have disputed her most recent decisions, by now." "Alright. You two may be seated, while I draw up the orders, and have them distributed." Her Honor Matthews relinquishes.
Obeying, Tynie growls a breath, and runs her left hand through her hair. Around the same time, E.A.D.A. Langer sits back, and lets his new respect for Tynie, run through his mind. Sitting in silence, the remaining victims feel a sense of relief, over the verdict and sentence. Conversely, Her Honor Matthews devotes her time to fulfilling her word, which leads into numerous people securing papers. Witnessing it, she tells everyone in her courtroom they can go home. Alternating who obeys, Tynie rises, to bring Jeremiah, JT and Liza over to Walter and Elsie. "You two met my husband already. I realized while we were waiting on our papers, it wouldn't be fair, not to help you meet my cousin, aunt and uncle. Besides, there may come times when, they help me help you with future issues." Tynie explains. Smiling through a nod, Walter begins the chain she described, his wife ending it with JT. "Elsie, I don't mean to be rude. It's just, I realized my cousin opened a door to my helping you two. If you'll allow it, I'll escort you to your way home, and ask you or Walter to call her; if you have any problems getting there safely. Should you, I'll bring my group to help, and ask her to let us get your number. We'll keep it private, unless a judge orders us to give it up." JT purports. "We can't put you guys out that way." Elsie pines. "It's not an inconvenience, Elsie. Walter's among very few World War 2 veterans we've encountered, so it's the least we can do." Liza negates. "Alright." Walter condones.
Clasping hands with Jeremiah, she brings him to flank Walter's left side, as Tynie and Bobby move to Elsie's right, and JT moves to lead them out. Enacting half of JT's plan, he infuses more handshakes, before his group watches the elders enter their car. Quietly discovering he parked right beside them, JT takes his group to his vehicle, which is loaded so he and Bobby split the driving. Waiting for Walter's car to leave first, they battle traffic, and eventually learn JT's concern over a call out was unfounded. However, Bobby's called to verify his referral, only to insist Jessie uses his VIP status and NYPD history on treating her trip to Sean's store like he would any other. "I know why he did that, Sean. We're waiting to be served for more court dates, and he wants me to segue my overhearing that, into my testimony. I'll be glad to, but I'll need you to paraphrase that, and add the phrase "J.Y.D. will pull her medically mandated retirement to defend me on it, the minute after she's called" in your system." Tynie declares. "I'm on it now, Tynie." Sean acclaims. "Thanks man, we owe you one." Tynie ingratiates. "Tynie, in my book: your willingness to violate doctor's orders for me, covered it." Sean declines. "Ok." Tynie gasps. Ending the call by family custom for business ones, Bobby gets another, from E.A.D.A. Langer. He did it, by accident, because he just got a new cell phone and is trying to set it up. "We've had it happen. Tynie knows how to fix it, but she didn't know if doing it for you, would violate your job's bylaws. I know her well enough to know; if that answer was no, she'd have volunteered." Bobby sates. "E.A.D.A. Langer, if you can hear me: he's so far from bullshitting on my name, it's fucking terrifying. Pardon my language." Tynie affirms. "I heard you just fine, Mrs. Vantman. You don't have to worry about your vernacular being an issue anymore, because you're not in court. Don't get me wrong, the respect you intended was great, but I don't believe in letting my rank change how people act, when we're not before a judge. Speaking of that, I got word His Honor Will Forrester will need you to testify at the disbarment. I'll have the particulars of it, sent to you, when it's closer to that hearing, though." E.A.D.A. Langer rebuts. "Sounds good." Tynie confirms. Essentially crafting a trend with using family ones on business calls, Bobby puts his phone away. Departing the car, he and Tynie head inside their house, right before JT resumes family trends for ending carpools.
A short while later, he texts Liza and Tynie to let them know he made it home safe, but Damian's asked for a family meeting to discuss today's events. "Barring emergencies, we can have it at my place, tomorrow around eleven." Liza offers. Switching who accepts that, her remaining relatives tell her it's a deal, and exchange good night wishes. Reholstering the involved phones, everyone from Tynie to Leah honors kin trends for sharing meals, allowing it to lead into ones for ending a given day. Secluded in their respective areas, Tynie's family's couples forego intimacy, given today's long and periodically exhaustive pace. Regrettably, many of the events leave her, Bobby, JT, Jeremiah and Liza unable to have a totally peaceful sleep.
As a result, they opt for late night movie watching to distract them, which works until they surrender to exhaustion. By an irony that goes unmentioned, it occurs just after their small version entertainment centers's auto shutoff feature kicks on. Another thing that goes undiscussed is, a gratitude today ended in relative peace.
