Chapter 18: Danger in the High Seas.
-Music: The Great Sea (The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Soundtrack)-
-Location: Agetan Sea; 3700 kilometers (2299 miles) West of Asgan West coast-
It's been two weeks and a half since the group set sail on the pirate ship Trinidad Escarlata, and they were well in the middle of the Agetan Sea. The wind and water currents are no more, since they disappear after the destruction of the Wind and Water crystals. However, thanks to the mages and other pirates who know how to use Wind and Water magic, they can continue their travels. In this case, now that Vivian and Sapphire, the Sages of Wind and Water respectfully, were in the ship, their travel time was a little shorter. The pirates began respecting them both, as much as they respect Rubina, the Sage of Lightning.
And after what happened last week, they saw why.
-One week ago-
The ship was suddently surrounded by a powerful thunderstorm, as intense lighting began to hit the seas. Rubina went to the Crow's nest on top of the mast and in there, she began 'redirecting' the lightning that was going to hit close to the ship, by GETTING hit by the lighting when she pointed one arm into the sky and shoot the lightning to another side her other arm was pointing out. In essence, she got hit by the lighting and then shoot it to another place. It was a sight to believe.
She wasn't alone, though.
The storm intensified and the waters and winds turned hostile.
They saw how a large 30 meters (98 feet) wave was getting close by. However, Sapphire stepped on the front of the ship and concentrated, and as the wave was about to hit, the section that was supposed to hit the ship suddently reduced its side, going below the ship with no problem, while the wave, now divided in two sides, pass around them, to the surprise of everyone.
Also, several tornadoes began to hit the sea, and many of them were getting close to the ship. However, Vivian flew over the ship and using her wind powers began to deflect the tornadoes, that passed safely around the ship.
After a few more hours of that, and the crew trying to sail the ship so it doesn't sink, the storm passed, and they were now in more calmed waters.
"Blimey, mates! That was a hard one!" Expressed Isabella, looking at her crew, and then at Vivian and Sapphire. "We own ye one, lads. We'll be swimming with the fishes if it weren't for ye."
"I do wonder how you all managed to sail in this conditions." Commented Alan, after throwing up in the sea. He wasn't a sea person, although his aura control helped him.
"Yarr, it was never this bad, lad. These days these storms arr getting harder and harder. First time we had tornadoes and high waves."
"Wait, you mean the sea is getting even more hostile?" Asked Steve in confusion.
"Yar. We didn't had tornadoes before. The seas are getting spicier. This is why this is our last travel in the open seas."
"Wait, THIS is your last travel?" Asked Alan in surprise.
"Yer right, lad! This is our last adventure in the seas! With the booty we have, plus the one yer princess will give us and yer coins, we'll live the rest of our days in luxury. Our base is near the Port City of Blam, our destination. Once there, our adventures in the open seas are over. The Seas are turning even more dangerous."
"So… this is your last trip… and we are sailing in open seas… oh boy…"
"What's the matter, Alan?" Asked Vivian with confusion.
"Yeah, you turned white, meatbag." Commented Castanea.
"I just…" started Alan, gulping down some saliva. "…I have a bad feeling about this..."
Back in the present, they actually had a relatively smooth sail, even though the waters were still dangerous. They were probably halfway between continents, and after the storm, the ride was mostly uneventful.
Because they were on a ship, Alan's training was postponed, as there was no way in the ship to train, since if he makes a mistake and let his aura lose control, he could damage the ship. Instead, he used this time to perfect his Karate and Tae Kwon Do moves, as he made some Katas and movements to hone his skills. He also did the same with the Keyblade, to hone his sword strikes and defense, to be more precise. This called the attention of not only his female companions, but of many of the crew, who were intrigued in Alan's movements. He explained that, since humans are weak, they had to rely on moves to overcome other humans, so they designed these fighting moves.
Without his knowledge, many of the crew began doing the same thing as he, trying to learn this 'karate' thing, and see if they can apply it with their own abilities.
Days were relatively peaceful.
-Music End-
Right now, it was the middle of the day, and Alan was alone on the deck, looking at the rest of the crew working on their daily routines. Breakfast was already over, so he decided to look around. After a few days, Duncan said that it was ok to trust the pirates, as they proved themselves by helping them. Also because Sapphire and Vivian could sink the ship if they wanted with their spells.
So now he was just enjoying the ride, looking at the seemingly endless ocean.
"Mind if I join, Alan?"
Looking behind him, the human saw that the blondie mage Kristal was looking at him, smiling sweetly.
-Music: Always on my Mind (Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Soundtrack)-
"Oh, hey Kristal. What's up?" Asked Alan, now facing her and leaning on the rail of the ship.
"Oh, nothing, I was just tired of being on the lower decks, and wanted to walk on the deck." Answered Kristal, walking besides Alan and resting on the rail, looking at the sea. Alan couldn't help but see as her breasts were pressing over the rail. "It's been almost two weeks, right?"
"Yeah, I know." Answered Alan, trying to ignore the curvaceous body of his female companion, and turned to face the ocean again. "It's actually my first time on a ship like this. It's been… interesting. At least I didn't feel sea sick. That would have suck."
"Well, Steve is a little sea sick, and so is Vivian." Said the blondie, laughing nervously. "I understand it of Vivian, as she is more used to fly, not standing on a ship."
"Is she doing ok?"
"Sapphire is with her. She gave her some water with magical proprieties so she doesn't feel that much sick."
"And Steve?"
"He is doing ok. He was like this when we left our home in the north when we started our quest."
"Oh yeah, your home is on another continent?"
"Large island to the north from here, but kind of. I hope to show it to you later."
"Oh, that will be interesting. Seeing where the spellcasters live."
They remained silent for a few more seconds, as both didn't knew what more to speak of. Alan didn't knew, but Kristal was blushing a little, trying to think of something to continue the conversation… but failing.
But Alan helped her with that.
"I wish all of this is real…"
Kristal turned to look at him with confusion.
"What… do you mean?" She asked, causing Alan to look at her in surprise.
"Oh, I said it out loud?" he asked, laughing in confusion. "Don't worry about that."
"No, I want to know. Is something worrying you, Alan?"
Alan stopped laughing and looked at the ocean once more. He sighed. This whole flashes of light that let him see everyone as demons or fire beings was getting to him. They were slowly getting more constant, and it was slowly convincing him that maybe they were true.
"I have been…" Started Alan, chuckling at the quote he was about to make. "I have been having these weird thoughts lately. Like, is any of this for real? … or not?"
"What do you mean?" Asked Kristal, now with some concern over her friend.
"Something is telling me… that none of this is real?"
"What?"
"For a while, I have the feeling that all of this is just a dream, an illusion… and I have been thinking of it, and logically, I can find reasons for both of them. I don't know…
"Alan… does this have to do with what your cousin told you?"
Alan turned to look at Kristal with confusion.
"How did you…?"
"After you meet him, you have been acting strange. You act more reserved, and have made some distance between us. I have noticed it was after you meet your cousin. What happen?"
"I…" Started Alan, looking to his side, trying not to look at the blondie mage. "Is nothing, Kristal. I just have so much in my head, and I-"
"Alan, please." She said, taking his hands over her, while a small blush formed in her face. "I know something is wrong. This is not the Alan I have known since I meet you in that forest. Please…Let me help you."
The young human looked at his female companion. She was REALLY worried, and her face looked like it. He also noticed the blush in her face, but can't discern exactly the reason. Maybe she was shy or something.
He sighed. He really didn't want to tell them, as that could change something. If they were real, they could feel insulted that he doubts them. But if they were demons, they will try anything to convince him of the contrary. However, after seeing her worried face, he discovered that he have actually changed a little, and they were noticing it. He couldn't hide this forever.
"Kristal… I…I…"
"Aye, Friend Alan!"
Before he could finish anything, Alan looked up, his eyesight being followed by Kristal, only to see a red-haired Oni girl descending fast towards them… specially towards Alan.
-Music: Canard (.hack G.U. Soundtrack)-
"Oh fuc-!"
Before the human could move away, the redhead fell on top of him, her large breasts hitting his face, as both fell on the floor. Kristal took a step back to not being hit by the feet of the Oni girl as she fell, and only saw how her human companion couldn't move away. In the end, both human and oni remained on the floor, with the red-haired hugging the boy.
"Hey, Friend Alan! Good to see ye again!" Expressed Rubina, the Sage of Lighthing, who was on top of Alan and hugging him against her breasts.
"Hhhmm, glad to… see…yah…can't breathe…" commented Alan, trying to breath… but actually not doing much to move.
Kristal's eye twitched at that scene.
"H-hey! Don't fall like that! We were having an important conversation!" exclaimed Kristal in anger, not only because of Rubina interrupted them like that, but also because of how she was hugging him. "And move away from Alan! Let him breath!"
"Eh?" Asked Rubina, before looking at her chest, seeing the boy turning blue…and yet with a peaceful expression. She released her hug over him to let him breath. "Oh! Almost got ye dead, human matey!"
"Don't worry…I'm not even mad." Said Alan, laughing nervously, causing Kristal's eye to twitch once again.
"Hehe."
The two stood up, but Rubina still hugged Alan by the arm, pressing her breasts on it, causing the human to laugh nervously, and Kristal to get a little more annoyed.
What, what is happening? Well, it all started after Isabella pushed Rubina to Alan back on the day they started their trip towards the Betan Continent. After Isabella smacked Rubina in the butt and pushed her towards Alan, the oni girl wanted to protest but… suddently she smelled something. When she turned towards Alan, she smelled him again... and her expression changed completely. Before, she was kind of angry at being so close with a male, but after that, she became more… clingy, as she just wanted to be close to him, to the annoyance of Kristal, Sapphire and Vivian…who had no idea why, but already had some ideas.
After that, Rubina followed Alan almost everywhere, saying stuff like 'His smell is so good' and stuff. Alan realized that Rubina acted like those typical anime aliens girls that look like cat girls: very energetic and surprised of EVERYTHING, get feral sometimes against people she doesn't like and gets clingy and very close to the people they like (normally the male protagonist in the harem). Heck, she acted more like a cat-girl than an oni one.
The tiger like tail and clothes didn't help to convince him otherwise.
She was close to him, and very curious about him and his world. She said he smell very differently to any other male spirituel she had meet, and got to the conclusion it was about him being a human. Because of that, she keep hugging and snuggling him constantly, normally being called out by his other female companions. Alan started to think his own smell was similar to catnip for her.
The human didn't know what to do, although he HAD to admit having Rubina's breasts pressing against his body every time she was close to him was a very enjoyable experience.
…after all, he LOVES large breasts, and having a big pair, probably just a bit smaller than Kristal's but larger than Vivian's, being pressed against his face sometimes is actually something he REALLY loved.
'Feels like this is slowly transforming into a harem anime inside an adventure one.' Though Alan for himself.
…then again, this sudden change of luck makes him think of back to that 'Chaos is lying to you, Alan' thing that Reed told him weeks ago. It also made him think when he, on Kuribohria, asked while he was going to sleep if his life could become more harem-like. Having Rubina always hugging him and pressing her curvy body against him, while enjoyable, makes him think of that.
'I…just hope I'm ACTUALLY hugging a busty cat-like oni girl and not some flame demon…'
"So, Friend Alan!" Expressed Rubina, extremely happy to see him. "Can ye tell me more about this 'Carribean of Piratez' show you told me?"
"It's 'Pirates of the Carribean', and its only two movies, for now." Commented Alan, still laughing nervously at having a beautiful girl so close. After many years of being bullied and ignored, THIS was a nice change, he admits.
"Do you have to be that close to him?" Asked Kristal with annoyance, something that confuses Rubina.
"But thiz is how we greet people me like." Commented Rubina, looking at Alan. "And Friend Alan doesn't mind, right?"
"I really do not…" Answered Alan. "Also please just call me Alan. Don't need the whole 'Friend' in the name."
"Ok, Friend Alan!" Exclaimed Rubina happily. Alan just sighed. Kristal was still annoyed.
Oh, Alan KNEW Kristal was jealous. It was very easy to see. Either that or she is angry he might try to do something with Rubina since she is so clingy, but right now he thinks is because of jealously. He haven't though much about his relationship with the Dark Magician Girl, but they were close, although he still doesn't see them as a couple, especially since she didn't seem to be THAT interested in him. But maybe this reaction… maybe she is starting to?
'Well, Sapphire and Vivian also seem a little jealous… maybe they like me too? Nah, I can't be that lucky. There's no way 3 beautiful busty girls like me at the same time… maybe one, but not the 3 of them.' He though, before that same flash of light made him look at everyone around him as a demon, for a fraction of second. 'Either that or I'm REALLY being controlled by Chaos. I hope not.'
-Music End-
Before he could think of anything else, Alan noticed something, as he opened his eyes and look around him.
"Hey… isn't it getting a bit… misty?" Asked Alan in confusion.
"Yeah… I wonder why…" Asked Kristal, looking everywhere. "It's also getting… denser…"
"Sink me!" Exclaimed Rubina, before releasing Alan and immediately scaling the mast of the ship, and went into the Crow's Nest, to look everywhere. "We're surrounded, mateys?!"
"What?"
It was then that both Alan and Kristal, and the rest of the crew looked around them, seeing that they were getting trapped inside a mist that became denser and denser.
"The mist…" Expressed Alan in surprise. "IT'S THE MIST!"
"SOUND THE BELL, YE BUCKOS!" Exclaimed Rubina from the top of the mast. Soon, some pirates started to sound the alarm bell, as they get ready for combat.
"I'll get Master Duncan!" Exclaimed Kristal, before running inside the ship to the lower decks.
Alan moved to the rails of the ship to see deep into the mist, but it was slowly getting harder and harder to see. Soon, the rest of his friends and Captain Isabella get on the upper deck and saw they were surrounded by mist.
"Why ar we in a mist, scurvy dogs?! Was clear that we'll sail around any mist we find!" Exclaimed Isabella in anger, getting in control of the Helm to sail the ship.
"Captain! The mist surrounded us without warning!" Exclaimed one of the pirates. "We were suddently surrounded!"
"That is right!" Exclaimed Alan. "This mist appeared out of nowhere and surrounded us."
"And this mist feels… spiritual." Commented Duncan, looking around him. "Can you feel it?"
Everyone in the group closed their eyes and concentrate on their auras. Duncan was right: the mist felt very different from other mist they have encounter before, like it was… live.
"Something is not right with this mist!" Exclaimed Steve, trying to look something outside the ship, but he saw nothing.
"No, this is bad!" expressed Duncan, before looking at the Harpie Girl. "Vivian, use a tornado and disperse the mist."
"Yes, master Duncan!" Exclaimed the Sage of the Winds, using her powers to fly in the air, just on top of the Crow's Nest, with a sphere of wind in her hands. "Wind Burst!"
She swings her arms to both sides, and create a powerful current of wind, one that almost send people below flying into the ocean, if it was because they were used to it. The winds were so strong that they could disperse any smoke from the zone… and yet, the mist remained, immovable.
"It didn't work?!" Asked Sapphire with confusion.
"This mist is something magical. Vivian will never be able to disperse it as she will with a normal mist." Commented Duncan, as the young Harpie descended to the deck.
"What now? Should we continue?" asked Castanea, looking at the group.
However, before anyone could answer, Vivian, who had the more developed ears, started to hear something. A low mumble in her ears, that was slowly getting stronger. Kristal noticed Vivian was trying to concentrate.
"What is it, Vivian?" Asked the Magician Girl with confusion.
"Can't you hear it?" Answered the Harpie, looking everywhere. "There is some noise in the background."
"I can't hear anything." Commented Alan.
"Wait! I hear it too…" Expressed Steve.
"Yeah, so do I." Said Kristal. "It sounded like…"
They all concentrated in their hearing, trying to identify the sound. Soon, they did, as the noise became stronger and stronger.
They were screams and lamentations, bone chilling screams that scared everyone on the ship.
"What the heck?!" Exclaimed Steve with surprise.
"Those sounds like screams of pain and sorrow!" Commented Alan, his eyes opened as wide as they could.
"Oh… oh no!" Exclaimed Kristal, who was actually the most scared of the group. "These screams are so-! Ahh!"
Then, they all hear a bone chilling roar of a large beast, one that send everyone on the deck in panic mode.
"Bloody hell! Is some kin of sea creature?!" Asked Isabella, before looking up. "Oi, Rubina! Yee sees something out there, lass?!"
-Music: Enemy Attack (Final Fantasy X Soundtrack)-
Rubina, who was in the Crow's Nest and looking around, saw something in the mist. She took a Spyglass, a small telescope, and looked towards it, and when she identified, she looked alarmed.
"Sail, Ho! Enemy ship sighted on the front, captain!"
Everyone went to the front of the ship to see it, and they saw it. A kilometer from there, a large ship, a humongous ship compared to the galleon-like ship they were, was sailing directly at them. It had a very old appearance; decayed, rotten wood and several planks were not in their place, the flags were thorn, and on the front of a ship, a large skull with red eyes looked t them. As it approached, the screams could be heard even closer, and soon, everyone's faces turned blue. And Alan just panicked.
"I knew it! It's a fucking ghost ship!" Exclaimed the human in surprise and anger.
"And it's coming straight at us!" Exclaimed Steve, seeing that the large ship was getting closer to them and fast.
Isabella was surprised, but immediately recover her composure and start giving orders.
"Don't stay there, ye Scurvy Dogs!" Exclaimed the pirate captain. "Load the cannons if ye don't want to be shark bait!"
The crew, still afraid, began to run to their posts, as many went down and armed the cannons. The enemy ship approached and fast, and it was very close to them
"Princess and harpie girl, prepare to use yeer powerz, because we will move the ship FAST!"
"Yes!" Exclaimed Sapphire and Vivian, with the first going to the front of the ship, while the other one went back.
"Get ready, lass! Here we go! Hard to port, now!"
Isabella turned the Helm to the left hard, while Sapphire and Vivian used their spells. This made the Trinidad Escarlata to immediately turn to the left, causing everyone on the ship to almost fell on the floor because of the intense inertia they felt. Their ship managed to move away from the enormous ship that passed just to their starboard (right), the red eyes of the skull moving to look at them as they passed besides it.
It was then that Alan and the group saw the magnitude of the ship. It was HUMONGOUS! Probably the size of the Titanic in Alan's world, easily dwarfing their galleon-like ship. It was tall, also, as the crow nest of the group's ship was only a little over the deck of the large ship. To Alan, it was like seeing a Titanic like ship made with rotten wood.
"Let's scuttle (sink) that ship!" Exclaimed Isabella, stabilizing the ship. "FIRE!"
The crew in control of the cannons used their fire magic and matches to ignite the cannons, causing them to fire at the large ship. However, to their surprise, most if not all steel balls exploded when they strike the hull of the ship, and everyone saw to their surprise that the hull was intact.
"Again! Fire!"
The Galleon fired again as they were sailing besides the enormous ship. Over and over again, the cannons sounded and their munitions impacted on the enemy ship… and yet, as they passed by, they saw that the hull still remained intact.
"Cannons are useless against their hull!" Exclaimed Steve with surprise.
"Sink Me!" Expressed Isabella in anger and… fear. "What iz that ship made of?!"
"Is magical." Expressed Duncan. "The hull must be made of magical properties, and made it really sturdy to attacks!"
"Captain! Enemy ship is changing course!" Exclaimed Rubina, pointing back.
The group looked back and saw that the enormous ship was turning right, to try and chase them.
"Is getting towards us again!" Exclaimed Alan.
"We need to get out of here!" Exclaimed the Captain. "Princess! Harpie! Full power!"
"Yes!"
As Isabella said, Sapphire and Vivian used their powers to try and accelerate the ship, so they could escape. The pirate Galleon started moving and fast, using the magic of both sages to go faster than normal.
And yet, the giant ship was a little faster than they.
"This ghost ship is as fast as us, lads!" Exclaimed Isabella, trying to steer the ship to keep themselves out of range.
For several minutes, the distance between both ships remained equal: just a few hundred meters between them. However, after a few minutes, the eyes of the skull in the ship glowed red in intensity… and the Galleon began to deaccelerate.
"What is this?!" Asked Sapphire in confusion.
"What is wrong?" Questioned Castanea.
"I feel my magic getting… weaker!"
"Mine too!" Expressed Vivian, who was having more trouble to use her wind magic to propel the ship forward.
The Trinidad Escarlata was slowly loosing speed, as the waves and wind powers of the two sages began to wane.
"What's going on?! Why are they getting weaker?!" asked Castanea with confusion.
Duncan started to think, and then tried something. On one hand, he summoned a fire spell, while in the other he made a wind one. The wind spell was weaker than the fire one, even though he applied the same energy. Then, he dispels both and created a lightning spell and a water spell, and again, the water one was weaker than the lighting one. After that, he looked back at the big ship, it's skull eyes glowing intensely.
"That ship…" Though Duncan. "Is weakening Water and Wind magic!"
"What ye said, mage?!" Questioned Isabella.
"Whatever is that ship, it's absorbing wind and water magic!" Exclaimed Duncan again. "That is why many ships are trapped in the mist! It weakens the only way to escape without the wind and currents!"
Alan looked back, and saw the big ship getting closer.
"Damn it, it's getting closer!" Exclaimed the human, before running to the back of the ship. "Steve, help me! Let's shoot at that thing!"
"You read my mind!" Expressed the Skilled Dark Magician, also running back.
Alan charged a Blizzaga spell in his right hand and the moment he reached the back of the ship, he launched it like it was a ki blast from dragon ball. At the same time, Steve charged a Fire one on his right hand, and shoot it just seconds after Alan's. Both spells flew between ships and impacted on the face of the large ship, creating a large amount of smoke. Still, the ship was intact.
"Let's go, Alan!" Exclaimed Steve, summoning his staff, while Alan did the same with his Keyblade.
Both charged spells, ice in Alan's case and fire and lighting in Steve's, and continuously shot at the ship behind. All those spells impacted in the skull in the front of the ship, creating large explosion. Soon, Kristal and Duncan joined, with shadow spells, while Rubina, from the Crow's Nest, charged lighting attacks and toss them at the ship behind them. Some pirates joined the activity and shoot their magic spells towards the ghost ship… and it seem like they were doing something, as the skull was slowly cracking under the pressure.
"It's working!" Exclaimed Castanea.
"Not enough! It will still catch us!" Expressed Kristal, shooting every fast spell she knew from her staff.
"Master Duncan, can you do that attack you used on the Water Temple against Exia?" Questioned Steve, looking at his teacher.
"If I do that, I will sink this ship too!" the Dark Magician answered. "Dark Plasma Blast will destroy the back of the ship and will sink us. And at the rate the enemy ship is resisting our attacks, not sure I will be able to destroy it completely. We'll be let here in the middle of the ocean."
"What about flying and shooting from the side?" Questioned Alan.
"I tried to use the float spell and it's also being affected by whatever is absorbing Wind and Water magic. I won't be able to float in the air enough time to charge Dark Plasma."
"And if I create a ice platform in the sea?" Asked Alan.
"Won't last long, and by the time I charge it, the ship will be far away."
"Speaking of far… It's here!" Exclaimed Castanea.
Sapphire and Vivian's magic was exhausted, and the Galleon stopped moving. Soon, the ghost ship got close, and approached them from the right of the pirate ship. As the ghost ship went parallel to the pirates ship, some doors on the bigger ship's hull opened… and shot harpoons on the smaller ship.
"Incoming!" Exclaimed Alan, as he jumped back.
The harpoons impacted in the hull of the smaller ship, as it rocked from the impact.
"The hell?!" Exclaimed Steve, trying not to fall into the floor.
The group and crew rushed to the starboard/right side, to see the harpoons stuck in the wood of the ship. They were made of a coral-like design, and were firmly stuck on the wood, deep into the ship. Some members of the crew tried to detach some of them, but they were firmly stuck on the wood.
"Remove the harpoons, you scrubby rats! We need to escape from here!" Exclaimed Isabella with anger.
"But our wind and water spells doesn't work!" exclaimed Sapphire.
"Wait! Something is happening!" Exclaimed Castanea, pointing at the ship.
Everyone turned to see to the other ship, and saw that the openings from where the harpoons came were getting bigger… and from them, Skelletons…
Skelleton Pirates used the ropes of the harpoons to travel from the bigger ship to the smaller one, each one with a sword and shield.
"Skelleton Pirates!" Exclaimed Alan in surprise.
"Noooo! Not Skelletons!" Exclaimed Kristal, her face turning blue in terror. "I hate , Skelletons, Ghosts and Zombies! Noooo!"
"Pull it together, Kristal!" Exclaimed Duncan.
"Oh for the barbs of Lord Leviathan! We're getting boarded!" Exclaimed Isabella, leaving the helm and taking out her sword. "To arms, seadogs!"
Immediately, the crew took out their weapons to defend themselves. Alan hold his Keyblade with both hands, as he saw how the skelleton pirates suddently jumped from the harpoon ropes into the deck of the ship.
And so, the battle started. The crew of the Trinidad Escarlata fought against the Skelleton Pirates that boarded the ship. Swords and Spears clashed against each other, as the battle raged all along the deck, and the bottom ones, as some Skelletons managed to enter the deck below thanks to the holes created by the harpoons.
Alan blocked the sword strike of one of the Skelleton Pirates, who tried to strike him in the head. With the corner of his eye, he saw how another Skelleton pirate tried to impale him from behind, so he managed to move away from his main opponent, causing him to fall forward, being impaled in the stomach by the sword of the other Skelleton Pirate. Alan took a step back to look at the two enemies, just to wide his eyes in surprise as the impaled pirate removed the sword with ease.
'Oh, right…Skelletons… fuck.' He though, before having to defend from the two blades of the Skelleton Pirates.
His training actually worked. Alan moved faster, his attacks were stronger, and he had more aura pool for his ice spells. He managed to defeat one of the Skelleton Pirates with ease, using his Keyblade to disarm him (literally cutting his arm), and then removing his head with one fast swipe. As this happen, the other Skelleton Pirate attacked Alan from behind, making a horizontal swipe with his sword to cut Alan's neck from behind. However, Alan just raised his left arm and blocked the sword with it, creating a metallic sound as the sword impacted with his arm, confusing the Skelleton.
"Arm Protectors." Expressed Alan, smiling, before holding his Keyblade in reverse and turned back, cutting the Skelleton's head in two. In that moment, Alan saw two other Skelletons getting close to him, so he pointed his Keyblade towards them. "Blizzara!"
The Keyblade released a level two ice spell, that immediately impacted in one of the Skelletons, freezing him solid. The other one managed to evade the icy wind, and jumped to attack Alan, but the human just evaded it, letting the sword cleave into the wood, just before kicking the head off the Skelleton with a spin kick, the head flying and crashing into the frozen Skelleton, shattering on impact.
"Damn! All that training really worked!" exclaimed Alan in surprise, as he blocked another sword.
On all the deck, similar fights happen all around.
Duncan used his spells to overwhelm the Skelletons that attacked him, none of them getting close to hurt him. He also swing his staff and crushed some of them, showing he also had great strength, before showering the rest of the Skelletons with his magic.
Steve mostly was doing the same, although he DID receive some punches but his body was so used to getting hit by Kristal that he didn't felt it. Sword, on the other hand, he DOES evade them, because even if his body is harder, swords can still cut him.
…a little, actually, because these Skelletons HAVE hit Steve with their sword, but did minimal damage to his aura shield, so they didn't cause much damage.
Meanwhile, Casteana, since she was small, easily evaded the Skelletons and cut their heads with her sword, mostly flying in circles around the deck, chopping and chopping Skelletons necks.
Captain Isabella attacked the Skelletons fiercely, extremely angry at them for TRYING to take over her ship. She had no compassion, as she cut to pieces any Skelleton that approached her, and kick some over the board and into the ocean.
Meanwhile, in the Crow's Nest, the Sage of Lightning Rubina was sending lightning strikes to any Skelleton below, when suddently she decided to jump into the deck, crashing on the ground, launching lighting everywhere. She then concentrated lighting in her weapon, a pair of drum beaters, and concentrate lightning on them, creating small daggers of lighting. With them, she began hitting every single Skelleton in her path to rejoin her Captain in the battle.
Sapphire and Vivian were fighting too. Yes, they right now had no magic, as their Water and Wind spells are so weak it was better not to use them. Still, they managed to use her weapons to attack and defend themselves; her trident in the case of Sapphire, and her own nails and talons in the case of Vivian. They defended themselves as much as they could, and Castanea noticed they were having a hard time against the Skelletons, do she decided to just protect them.
And Kristal… well…
"Nooooo! I hate Skelletons and Ghooosssst!"
…she was hidden behind a group of boxes, completely scared of everything happening around them, to the point to even refusing to see around her. When a group of Skelletons were about to attack her, they were cut in half by Alan's Flames of Chaos Keyblade, as he defended the young female mage.
"What is wrong, Kristal?" Asked Alan, blocking the sword of a Skelleton that tried to hit him.
"I… I… I hate Skelletons…" Asnwered the blondie mage, with small tears in her eyes.
"What?"
His distraction cost him a little, as the Skelleton Pirate punched him in the face and then made an horizontal slash and hit Alan in his stomach. The human feel pain from it, as he was pushed back from the cut. However, he soon realized… he wasn't cut at all, as the sword struck against some kind of blueish energy field just before his stomach.
It was Alan's Aura Shield, having become strong enough to contain the hit of a sword and not damaging his skin.
'Still hurts like hell, through!' Though Alan, before cutting the Skelleton in half with the Keyblade. He then checked his stomach, and he was right, it was fine, no damage to even his clothes. "It DOES work like a shield… Nice!" he said, before looking back at Kristal. "What is wrong?"
"Kristal has phobia of Skelletons and Ghosts." Commented Steve, after blasting a Skelleton with an explosion spell.
"What? Why?"
"My bad. I kind of scared her to death when we were kids…"
"Oh, that is JUST great!" Said Alan.
Suddently, the group saw how from the large ship, ramps began descending, connecting the large ship with theirs. And from those ramps, even MORE Skelleton Pirates began to run.
"There's more of them!" Exclaimed Alan.
"Bloody hell! We'll be overru by those skellleton!" Exclaimed Isabella, after cutting a Skelleton close to her.
"We need to board the ship!" exclaimed Duncan, surprising everyone in the deck.
"The sea has taken a toll on ye, lad! Gettin in that ship and yer gonna sleep in the bottom of the ocean!" Expressed Isabella.
"We have no other choice!"
"Why you said that, Master?" questioned Steve.
"Whatever is creating this mist and suppressing Water and Wind magic must be inside it. We need to destroy it, or else we'll be overrun by Skelleton Pirates!"
"I get you, so we shall destroy whatever is powering the ship!" Exclaimed Alan.
"Exactly, so we must go. Kristal, Steve! You come with us!"
"Ehhhh?! B-board the G-ghost ship?!" Asked Kristal in terror.
"Please, Kristal. Overcome your fear and help us. I need your strength!"
"That's right!" Exclaimed Castanea. "Sapphire and Vivian can't use magic, so I have to protect them."
"And me won't leave me ship, mates!" Exclaimed Isabella.
"Me'll go instead of ye, captain!" Exclaimed Rubina. "Will destroy whatever is holdin us."
"Give them hell, lass! After this, yer free to go with that human ye like so much."
"Say what now?" Asked Alan in confusion.
"Captain!" Exclaimed Rubina, getting a little red.
"Yar Yar Yar! Get in the ship, lads!"
"Questions for later, Alan!" Exclaimed Duncan. "Let's go!"
"O-ok, but I don't like t-this!" Kristal said, grabbing her staff with both hands.
Duncan stood in front of one of the platform bridges that connected both ships and created a powerful dark spell. He then launch that spell over the bridge, hitting every Skelleton pirate that was over the bridge and sending them into the water.
"Go!"
And so, the group went up the bridge and into the larger Ghost Ship. Soon, more Skelleton Pirates began running down, but they were send flying into the ocean by either Alan's Keyblade or Rubina's Lightning Beaters.
Just when they reached the end of the bridge, Rubina charged herself in lightning energy, and jumped high enough, so when she landed she crashed into the ground with her right fist, creating a small explosion of lightning energy that shocked every Skelleton close by. Just after her, Alan jumped over her and send some Ice spells at the Skelletons in front of him, freezing them while cutting the enemies that get close to him.
Then, the 3 mages arrived, and floated over the group of Skelletons and blasted them with their spells, creating a foothold for them.
"Quick! Get inside the ship and find the power source!" Exclaimed Duncan. "Steve, come with me!"
"What? But Master! I wanted to go with-"
"NOW, STEVE!"
"O-Ok!" Exclaimed the young mage, cursing his destiny, as that will leave Alan with both Kristal and Rubina. 'Lucky bastard!'
"Ok, then we go this way." Exclaimed Alan, pointing at one entrance to the lower decks. "Come with me!"
"Aye aye!" Exclaimed Rubina, very excited to be in this battle.
"Ehh… o-ok!" expressed a less enthusiastic Kristal.
And so, the 2 groups went their own way inside the Ghost Ship, being chased by several Skelletons, hoping to find the power source… and destroy it.

Author Notes:
Well then, I hope you liked this chapter.
Again, sorry for the late upload.
So... as you can see, Alan is slowly getting the 'Harem' treatment, aka slowly girls will come to him. Mostly because he is human, aka he is very rare, but because he is also an ok dude. However, because of the wish he did a few days ago, and because of the thing that is affecting him, it will probably backfire on him if he starts to think it is impossible for him to have so many girls interested in him when this didnt happen before. Well, you'll have to see.
And yeah, Rubina is attracted to Alan mostly because of his smell. Sure, she is an Oni, but when I first saw her, I though she was a cat, and so I continue with that idea. Rubina is the typical 'wild' girl that knows NOTHING about personal space and privacy, hence why she is so clingy. This will probably affect how Kristal, Sapphire and Vivian will see Alan, as before this they were kind of ok, but after seeing Rubina so close to him, they will probably start acting differently.
Also yeah... Ghost ship. You KNEW I was going to use that cliché at least once. I dont see problems using clichés (after all, EVERYTHING is a cliché right now), so I just need to try and do something a little different with the Cliché.
And Kristal is afraid of ghost and zombies... yep, another cliché, but I dont care, I liked that idea.
Also (how many 'also's have I said here?), take care of this coronavirus thing. Our city in Mexico is still not in lockdown, but after seeing how many mexicans didnt care and went and party with thousands of people in several events, I can see that we will probably in a week or two. Im ready with supplies since last month, but still, I'm just waiting for the word. Take care of yourselves, people!
So... I hope to see you all next week. See ya later!
