Day 39:

*Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!*

A pair of hands reached over the alarm clock next to them before one of their fingers finally found the button to turn it off, allowing the buzzing to quickly end before the two arms snaked back to the bed the cuffed couple laid in. Cracking their eyes open, Ruby and Glynda both began blushing as they realized Glynda now had Ruby pinned under her, her generous breasts pressed against the younger girl's chest. With a light giggle, Glynda brought her free hand up to cup Ruby's chin as she leaned down to her girlfriend.

"Good morning, Rosebud." Glynda said before gently pressing her lips against Ruby's.

"Morning, Glyn." Ruby said when the two parted. "Did you sleep well?"

"Of course." Glynda said, rolling to the side a bit as she and Ruby continued to stare into the other's eyes. "You're quite the cuddle bug, you know."

"Eh, what can I say?" Ruby asked with a shrug. "I guess I can't keep my hands off of you." Glynda gave the girl another giggle, and Ruby's smile brightened upon hearing the woman's laugh before she swung a leg out from under the covers. "Well, guess we should go get dressed."

"Oh, why the rush?" Glynda asked, pulling the red-haired girl back into bed before clinging to her. "It's Sunday, and we don't have anywhere we need to be."

"The dance is tonight, remember?" Ruby asked.

"It's six in the morning." Glynda noted. "We don't need to get up so early for it."

"Well, yeah, but…" Ruby began before Glynda repositioned herself on top of the girl.

"Besides, we were out rather late last night." Glynda began, pressing her breasts against Ruby's collar bone, causing the red-haired girl to blush harder. "I don't think we got enough cuddles out of each other."

"… Okay…" Ruby gave in. "But no later than seven-thirty."

"No sooner than seven." Glynda said before placing her free hand on the back of Ruby's head while her cuffed hand went to Ruby's side. Before Ruby could say anything more, Glynda rolled to the side and pulled the girl into her, burying the girl's jaw in her bosom before placing a leg over Ruby's side. As Glynda nuzzled against her pillow, Ruby blushed brighter than a Christmas Tree before wrapping her free arm and leg around Glynda as well, pressing herself deeper into the woman's cleavage as her hand ran up Glynda's side. "And leave the bra on." Glynda added, causing Ruby to stop and scowl up at the woman.

"You're sending very mixed-messages." Ruby said, before nuzzling against the pillows Glynda made of her breasts. Glynda simply giggled upon feeling Ruby's breath and lips dance across her skin, before feeling Ruby's cuffed hand pull against hers as Ruby ran her fingers along Glynda's thigh, fingering the waistline of her panties.

"And the panties." Glynda stated.

"I know, I know." Ruby said before glancing up at her girlfriend. "By the way, we're gonna need to stop by my room later."

"Why?" Glynda asked.

"I need to pick up my dress."

"I still can't believe you went to Coco to get a dress." Blake commented as she carried the package the upperclassmen left for Ruby out of the closet.

"What? She's the best person to talk to about that kinda thing." Ruby said, taking the box out of her teammate's hands.

"Though I'm still a bit confused as to why she took it to your room and not ours." Glynda commented, glancing down at the package in Ruby's arms.

"Well, she's not really the best decision-maker." Ruby shrugged. "She might have forgot we-"

"She wanted us to deliver an important message." Yang said, pulling a card out from one of Team RWBY's desks before turning to face the cuffed pair, needlessly clearing her throat before she began reading it. "'Thank you for choosing Abel's Wears: Fashion lush to impress your crush.'"

"Or she just wanted to rub-" Ruby began, turning to leave before her and Glynda's eyes widened. "W-wait, what was that last part?"

"Come on, Rubes. We've been over this." Yang said. "We all know you're into Goodwitch here. If how you normally act doesn't give it away, then asking Coco for a dress to impress her definitely does. Plus, if you guys didn't like each other, you probably would have driven each other crazy by now."

Ruby and Glynda blushed nervously, trying to think of something to say before Blake reentered the conversation. "Yang, you can quit teasing them like that already."

"Hey, I'm her sister." Yang said, pointing a thumb to herself as she spoke. "It's my job to tease her. And don't tell me you don't see it. Everyone else does."

"Ev-everyone?..." Ruby repeated.

"Yeah, don't you know?" Yang asked, turning her attention back to the wrist companions. "Velvet's articles on you guys get the most views, and after the OzWitch betting pool thing got the shaft, a HoodWitch one popped up." As Yang spoke, she made a heart with her hands and brought it up to her eye, placing Ruby and Glynda's blushing faces in it. "And for good reason, you guys are pretty cute together."

"Goodwitch is almost twice Ruby's age." Blake pointed out.

"And Ozpin was twice Goodwitch's." Yang argued back. "Maybe three times, actually. Didn't stop most of Beacon then, and it didn't stop them now."

"Most of…" Ruby repeated.

"You mean everyone…" Glynda muttered as her and Ruby's eyes widened.

"And why else would they want to go to the dance tonight?" Yang asked as she stepped towards the two. "Ruby would totally use this as a chance to flake. But if they wanna go, they should be able to enjoy themselves." With that, Yang guided her sister and her teacher out of team RWBY's dorm room, giving them a smirk as she pushed them out the door. "I doubt anyone will stop 'em." Giving her sister a wink, Yang shut the door in front of the two, leaving Glynda and Ruby to stand there as they processed what they just heard.

"… Do you think everyone…" Ruby whispered to her girlfriend as she heard Yang and Blake begin talking behind the door.

"Actually knows?" Glynda whispered back, before shaking her head. "No-no, they can't." Glynda reasoned as she and Ruby began walking down the hallway. "If they did, I probably would have gotten a notice that I was fired or something."

"Yeah, but…" Ruby muttered before her eyes widened. "She said Velvet made articles on us. What exactly has she been writing?" Ruby asked, causing Glynda's eyes to widen.

"Well, the good news is this is mostly speculation…" Glynda said as she parsed through the articles about her and her wrist companion in the students' newspaper in her room, before reading the remaining lines. "Huh. Scratch that, it's not even. Velvet admits she doesn't take most of this stuff seriously."

"Yeah, but everyone else does!" Ruby said as she looked down at her Scroll. "Look at how much Lien they've put into that betting pool."

"Come on, Ruby, it can't be…" Glynda began before her eyes widened at the number displayed on Ruby's screen.

₤801,913, with over half of the student population involved.

"… Yet you kids get up in arms when we suggest charging for lunches." Glynda noted with a slight scowl.

"Glyn, if this many people are betting on this, does that mean…" Ruby began before Glynda gingerly took her cuffed hand.

"If they knew about us, the betting pool probably would have closed." Glynda stated. "More likely than not, this is just some of the delinquents having a laugh."

"… Yeah, I… I guess that makes sense." Ruby said, placing her Scroll on Glynda's desk as her worry began to fade. A moment of silence passed between the pair as they silently thought over their new knowledge before Ruby glanced at Glynda. "I feel used."

"Now you know how I felt." Glynda stated.

"I mean, it… It just feels wrong." Ruby attempted to explain. "They didn't care about my romantic life before we got cuffed, and now they're-they're making jokes like this about us? Do they actually think it's funny that we're stuck together like this?"

"Apparently." Glynda said. "I'll be sure to give them all detention for this once I'm teaching again."

"I mean, seriously," Ruby continued. "They probably wouldn't think it's so funny if they were stuck to someone!"

Silence once again passed between the two before Glynda's eyes started shifting in their sockets, thinking over what Ruby said before a slight smirk grew across her lips. "You know," Glynda began. "Beacon does have a rather large supply of restraints." Ruby looked over at the blonde, cocking an eyebrow at what Glynda was saying. "You know, for when a mission requires an arrest."

"Why are you saying this?" Ruby asked.

"Because we could, you know…" Glynda began. "Barrow a few dozen or so and show everyone just how 'funny' our little predicament is."

"… Are you really suggesting we handcuff everyone together?" Ruby asked.

"Only for the dance." Glynda explained. "Just to give them a taste of what we've gone through."

"Glynda…" Ruby began, still trying to wrap her head around what the blonde woman was suggesting, and the fact that it was Glynda Goodwitch suggesting it. "That… That's crazy."

"Y-yeah, well…" Glynda mumbled.

"First of all, will we even have enough cuffs for that?" Ruby asked. "That's almost a hundred people you're talking about, we'd need fifty handcuffs to get 'em all."

"I'm fairly certain we have enough…" Glynda noted.

"And how are we going to get everyone?" Ruby continued. "We don't have any good time to set this up without everyone catching on."

"Well…" Glynda mumbled. "If we were the ones admitting everyone in, and we limit it to one set of pairs coming in at a time, we might be able to get them."

"And how are we going to do that?" Ruby asked. "I mean, it's not like we can just ask whoever's doing it if we can take their place."

"… Do you know who's in charge of it right now?" Glynda asked.

"Yang mentioned something about it in a text." Ruby answered as she reached for her Scroll. "Said they're taking over while CFVY's out on a mission..." Bringing up the message from her sister, Ruby and Glynda's eyes widened as they read over the message.

Y: don't ask how but i somehow wound up checking everyone into the dance

Ruby and Glynda glanced at each other before a smirk grew across their lips. Turning their attention back to the screen, Ruby quickly began typing out a message to her sister.

R: Hey Yang, wanna help with a huge prank?

"I still can't believe Pr. Goodwitch suggested this." Yang said, carrying a set of bags as she followed the cuffed pair into Beacon's storage room. "I mean, isn't her whole schtick punishing us for this kinda thing?"

"Glynda can really surprise you sometimes." Ruby said as Glynda approached a set of drawers.

"I mean, we're sure you're still cuffed to the same person, right?" Yang joked as Glynda began sifting through the drawers, with Ruby quickly following suit.

"You ever do something like this before?" Ruby whispered to her girlfriend.

"Not in years." Glynda whispered back, pulling more drawers open as she spoke. "And not on this scale." Once they had them all opened, Glynda turned her attention to the blonde girl, stretching an open hand out to her. "Bags please."

"Paper or plastic?" Yang joked, placing the bags' straps into Glynda's hand.

"Once we get these bags full, I want you to take them to the Ballroom's entrance." Glynda explained as she and Ruby began taking handcuffs out of the drawers, stuffing them into the carriers. "Place them behind the podium for us. If anyone asks, tell them they're a part of last-minute preparations. We still have a couple of hours until the dance, which gives me and Ruby plenty of time to get ready before we need to get into position-"

"Why don't we just have me do it?" Yang asked, and Ruby and Glynda glanced over at the blonde upon hearing the suggestion. "Gives you guys time to relax and makes sure nothing goes wrong if you run late."

"… Well…" Glynda mumbled, failing to think of a reason to disregard Yang's suggestion.

"Plus, I'm probably gonna need some practice walking in heels." Ruby added.

"And I'm itching for a chance to pull a prank this big and not get in trouble for it." Yang said, leaning towards her teacher with a confident smirk. "So what do ya say, Glynie, sound good?"

"… Promise to never call me 'Glynie' again, and you can do it." Glynda responded, earning a nod from her blonde student. "And remember, you're aiming for the Beacon students. Don't try and waste them on the exchange students coming in."

"Roger." Yang affirmed before Glynda and Ruby tossed a filled bag her way, quickly going back to stuffing the other one.

"We're really doing this, huh?" Ruby said as she sat down on Glynda's bed.

"Yeah." Glynda nodded. "I'm a bit surprised myself. It was just a spur of the moment thought, and now we're completely committed to it…" Thinking over what was about to transpire, Glynda let out a sigh, bringing her free hand up to her cheek as she spoke. "This is probably going to worsen my reputation as 'The Wicked Witch.' I can just hear the stories people will tell now."

"We still have some time before the dance." Ruby said, pulling out her Scroll. "Want me to tell Yang to call the plan off?"

"Oh, Oum no." Glynda said, a smirk returning to her face as she spoke. "I can't wait to see the looks on everyone's faces when they get a taste of their own medicine."

Ruby let out a chuckle as she folded her Scroll back into compact form. "So what about the cuffs you took?" Ruby asked, causing Glynda to cock an eyebrow. "I saw you pocket a pair back at the storeroom. I thought you shifted that job to Yang."

"Oh, you mean these?" Glynda said, pulling the handcuffs in question out of her pocket. "I just thought I'd take a pair for your sister, and whoever's lucky enough to be her date for the night." Glynda couldn't help but smirk at the way Ruby stared at her with wide eyes. "Don't think I'm letting her get off easy after everything she's said."

"Jeez, for a Goodwitch, you sure have a bad side." Ruby joked.

"Oh, you have no idea." Glynda said, taking a seat next to Ruby as she placed her cuffed hand onto Ruby's, leaning in towards the girl. "In fact, we have quite some time until the dance. How's about I show you just 'bad' I can be?"

"W-wait, what are you…" Ruby stuttered with a blush, feeling Glynda's breath against her face as the blonde woman leaned in closer.

"You know." Glynda said as she leaned in closer, causing the girl to light up so bright Glynda could feel the heat from her girlfriend's face.

"You-you mean…" Ruby stuttered out as Glynda shifted onto her lap, taking Ruby's cuffed hand as her other went to Ruby's shoulder. "You-you actually want to… With me-"

"Of course I do, silly." Glynda giggled, causing Ruby's face to glow brighter than a Christmas tree. "But not yet." Glynda quickly said, hopping off of her girlfriend's lap. "You're still a minor and my student, after all." Glynda explained as Ruby's face began to cool.

"Glyn, you tease!" Ruby shouted, scowling at her girlfriend. "You play with my emotions so!" Somehow, Ruby's outburst only served to get another giggle out of Glynda.

"Anyway, we should probably get you some practice with heels." Glynda said as she stood up. "Get you walking in a pair at least."

"Do I have to?" Ruby asked, following Glynda by their cuffs as the woman lead her to her closet "We're gonna kick 'em off when we start dancing anyway."

"Yes, well…" Glynda began, pausing for a moment as she tried to think up a rebuttal. "They… Go with the dress."

"I don't really care about fashion." Ruby stated.

"But even still…" Glynda began, still trying to think up a good reason. "They're considered formal wear and at an event like this, it's expected of you."

"Darn dress codes." Ruby mumbled. "Fine, I'll wear those stupid lady stilts, but I won't like them."

"No one said you had to." Glynda said. "We'll also be practicing our dance, so it won't entirely be walking in circles for a few hours."

"How do you live in these things?" Ruby asked as she followed Glynda out of her closet, wobbling slightly from one step to the next as she tried to maintain her balance.

"Practice makes perfect." Glynda said, holding her purple dress in her free hand. The decorative gems along its shoulder strap shined with every step they took, reminding Ruby how convenient it was that Glynda had a single strap dress.

"Okay, then why would you want to?" Ruby asked.

"It's considered more attractive." Glynda explained. "And as an authority figure, I feel I need to appear tall."

"You're already 200 cm." Ruby pointed out.

"180." Glynda corrected. "And most of the upperclassmen are about that tall." As Glynda set her dress down on the bed, Ruby pulled open her package and pulled out hers. Its red skirt was far shorter than Glynda's, barely reaching her knees with a black trim while Glynda's went all the way down her legs. A transparent black fabric made up Ruby's left shoulder strap, and a black sash and choker were left in the box as Ruby set her dress down next to Glynda's.

"So, you ready?" Ruby asked her wrist companion, already pulling up her foot to slide her heel off before seeing Glynda silently nod. "Then let's get stripping!"

"No need to be so crude about it." Glynda noted, lifting her own foot to slip her shoes off.

Their clothes quickly littered the floor around them as the two stripped down to the underwear, instinctively taking a step and turning away from each other as they had done many times up to that point. Stepping into their dresses, Ruby and Glynda bent down to pull them up, only to stop midway as their butts bumped against each other. With a blush, Ruby began playfully rubbing hers against Glynda, almost pushing the woman over before Glynda shoved her back. "Ruby, please stay focused." Glynda said as she began pulling her dress up. "We're putting these on in reverse, and we'd need to help each other the normal way."

"Sorry." Ruby said as she and Glynda pulled their dresses up to their chests, guiding their breasts into their cups before turning towards each other.

"Let's get you in first." Glynda said as she and Ruby worked the girl's free arm into her shoulder strap, using their cuffed hands to hold their dresses in place as Glynda pulled the strap into its proper place. "Now me." Glynda said before Ruby reached for her shoulder strap, blushing from how close she was to her girlfriend's bosom.

"There." Ruby said as she placed the strap.

"Okay, it looks like your dress ties at the front, so…" Glynda muttered as she crouched down, taking the black laces on Ruby's top before she began tightening it. "Let me know if this gets too tight."

"Okay…" Ruby nodded as Glynda continued pulling the laces, bringing the two sides of the dress closer together before Ruby raised her free hand. "Okay, right there's good." Ruby said, and Glynda nodded as she knotted the laces, tucking them into the dress when she was done.

"Now, just work my zipper up all the way." Glynda instructed, turning around to give Ruby access to the zipper on her back, still partially opened. "And take it slow-ow."

"Sorry, sorry." Ruby said as she backed the zipper off, releasing the pinched skin before gently pulling it up. "There, done." Ruby said.

"Thanks." Glynda nodded as she turned to face her girlfriend as Ruby reached for her sash. As Ruby began wrapping it around her waist, Glynda reached for her glasses, sliding them on as Ruby tied a bow at her side. Pulling her bow tight, Ruby looked up at Glynda as the woman turned back towards her.

Both wrist companions began blushing upon seeing the other in their dress. While Ruby would be lying if she said her attention wasn't drawn to her girlfriend's generous cleavage, she also admired the way the stones on Glynda's strap shined by her creamy skin. Glynda, meanwhile, couldn't help but smile at the black accents on Ruby's dress, helping to define its color. Looking down at the other's skirt, Ruby couldn't help but look up and down Glynda's leg, exposed by a slit in the purple dress. During this, Glynda admired the way Ruby's stocking worked with her ensemble, helping to define the girl's legs.

"It… Looks good on you." Ruby said with a blush as she reached for her choker.

"Thanks." Glynda nodded. "I haven't worn it in a while, so I'm a bit surprised it still fits. Yours also suits you well, by the way."

"So, are we ready to…" Ruby began asking before Glynda turned back to her bed.

"Hold on, just one more thing." Glynda said, picking up her cape before clipping it around her neck, allowing it to drape over her free arm.

"Well, if you're wearing that." Ruby said, crouching down to pull up her cloak before clipping it around her shoulder as well, mirroring Glynda's style. "Now are we ready to go?"

"We still need shoes, Ruby." Glynda said, causing Ruby's smile to falter.

"… Right…"

When Ruby and Glynda walked into the ballroom, their attention was immediately drawn to the mass of people behind Yang rather than the girl at the podium. Though it was hard to make out, after a moment Ruby and Glynda noticed the glitter of light between most of the dance partners. As they continued walking into the room, they were immediately greeted by a harsh voice. "I honestly can't believe you guys."

Finally turning their attention to the podium in front of them, Ruby and Glynda were greeted not just by a smirking Yang in a yellow dress, but also Weiss, standing to Yang's right in a white dress as she scowled at the two of them, pointing to the cuffed pair as she spoke. "Yang doing this, I can get. But you two? What came over you?"

"A desire for retribution." Glynda commented, smirking slightly as she took another glance at the party. "Did we get everyone?"

"Absolutely, aside from Weiss here." Yang said, causing Weiss to roll her eyes. "There was no one left to cuff her to when she got her. Could probably have paired her with Blake, but I saw her come in with Sun and just couldn't resist. You should have seen most of their faces, I actually have some pictures-"

"Honestly, of all the juvenal things." Weiss said as she turned to leave.

"Hey, it's not like we cuffed you to anyone." Yang said, looking at the back of Weiss's head as the white-haired girl began to walk into the ballroom, both girls unaware of the smirk Ruby and Glynda shared.

"Wait, Weiss," Ruby called out as she and Glynda quickly followed after the girl, grabbing Weiss's right wrist before she could get too far away. "Can I at least say one thing in my defense?"

"What?" Weiss asked, turning to look at her team leader.

With a smirk, Ruby pulled Weiss back to the podium as Glynda pulled the cuffs out of her dress, quickly snapping a cuff around Yang's left wrist before sliding her hand to the other end. As Ruby brought Weiss's wrist over, Glynda quickly locked the cuff around it, causing Yang and Weiss's eyes to widen as the two let go of their wrists, allowing them to fully see what Ruby and Glynda had just done.

"We don't play favorites." Ruby said as she and Glynda smirked at the new cuffed pair.

"… Betrayed…" Yang finally said, before pointing to Ruby with a scowl. "By my own flesh and blood!"

"We're only half-sisters." Ruby responded.

"Very funny you two." Weiss scowled, before lifting up her cuffed hand to Ruby and Glynda, dragging Yang's along with it. "Now unlock me."

"Can't, we left the key in my room." Glynda said.

"Then go get it!" Weiss snarled.

"Oh, come on, Weiss, it's just one night." Ruby said.

"And if people hear about how we let you off the hook, everyone's gonna want to be let out." Glynda stated. "I think we've created enough of a scene."

"You…" Weiss growled.

"Eh, relax, I can just pry 'em off." Yang said as she grabbed the cuff on her wrist.

"These cuffs are designed to capture rogue Hunters and the like." Glynda explained. "They're made to be very resilient."

"Yeah well…" Yang grunted as she began pulling on the metal bracelet around her wrist. "They haven't… Met… Me…" Yang continued, failing to move the metal even an inch.

"Plus, you can get in quite a lot of trouble for breaking those." Glynda added.

"More than handcuffing the entire student population together?" Weiss rhetorically asked.

"Eh, touché." Glynda shrugged as she and Ruby continued off to the party.

"Think Yang can actually get those off?" Ruby asked her wrist companion.

"Oh, probably not." Glynda responded. "I've seen your sister's records. They'll withstand her."

"In that case." Ruby began, taking her girlfriend's cuffed hand in hers. "What do you wanna do first?"

"Man, this revenge stuff is underrated." Ruby said as she and her girlfriend slow danced together, occasionally pulling their eyes away from each other to look over all the cuffed pairs. Some of them, like Pyrrha and Jaune, Ren and Nora, even Sun and Blake were taking it well. Others had scowls on their faces, and directed a glare towards Ruby and Glynda, giving the red-haired girl the sense they were slowly being found out. It was probably the first time such a response made Ruby feel good.

"Well, don't go doing stuff like this on the regular." Glynda said. "I'm still your teacher, meaning I would need to discipline you." Spinning Ruby under her cuffed arm, Glynda brought Ruby back against her as she let out a sigh. "Ozpin's probably going to dock my pay or something after this."

"Still worth it?" Ruby asked.

"Absolutely." Glynda answered, taking another sweeping look over the cuffed pairs around her. Her eyes landed on Pyrrha and Jaune dancing together further away, Jaune's right hand cuffed to Pyrrha's left. The sight of the cuffs still locked on them caused Glynda to cock an eyebrow. "Rather surprising that Nikos and Arc haven't freed themselves yet. Her Semblance should allow her to remove those cuffs easily."

"You know about that?" Ruby asked.

"I'm her teacher, Ruby." Glynda answered. "I've read her records. I don't understand why exactly she keeps her powers a secret, but I do know about them."

"Yeah, she's kinda protective of it." Ruby said, more to herself as she watched the way Pyrrha and Jaune danced together. Though the two weren't given much choice in the matter, Ruby figured the two would have been dancing with each other regardless. As Pyrrha and Jaune turned around, Ruby got a view of the smile across Pyrrha's lips, bringing a smile to her own as she looked back at Glynda. "Plus, I think she kinda enjoys being paired up with Jaune like this."

"Well then, I suppose she won't be holding a grudge against us at least." Glynda commented. "Though I doubt even she can forgive whoever spiked the punch bowl this year."

"Punched the what?" Ruby asked.

"Spiked the punch." Glynda repeated. "At least one person does it every year. I'm not sure where they keep getting the alcohol, but by the end of the night, most people are stumbling back to their rooms."

"So… Everyone here's probably going to get really drunk?" Ruby asked.

"I'm sure they'll catch on eventually, but-" Glynda stated before Ruby continued.

"And we cuffed everyone from Beacon together…" Ruby thought out loud, glancing down at her and Glynda's cuffs. "Are they gonna… You know...?" Ruby looked up at Glynda as the woman stared down at her, quickly picking up the girl's implication as their dance began to slow.

"I'm… Sure it will be fine." Glynda forced out, putting on a fake grin as she and Ruby resumed their pace.

"Yeah, so long as everyone drinks responsibly!" Ruby said with a nervous chuckle. "And who knows, maybe no one spiked the punch this year."

Ruby and Glynda took in breaths of the chilly night air as they stood at the balcony, leaning against its railing as they absent-mindedly stared up at the stars. Taking a glance at her girlfriend, Ruby took another sip from her cup of punch, still trying to figure out if someone spiked it as Glynda thought. "Another lovely night." Ruby said, more to start a conversation to drown out the music behind them than anything.

"Yeah." Glynda nodded. "I'm not sure how, but the Beacon dance always seems to fall on the perfect night. At least in my experience." As the woman spoke, a breeze flew by the two, lifting up Glynda's cape as the pair shuddered under it. "Though I would have set it in Spring." Glynda commented as she tried to wrap her cape around herself. "Vale may be close to the equator, but it can still get pretty cold here."

Once Glynda finished speaking, Ruby began nuzzling against the blonde woman, doing her best to throw her cloak around Glynda with her cuffed hand. "Ruby…" Glynda blushed as Ruby brought her other arm around Glynda's waist, pressing herself against the older woman.

"What? It's cold and you're warm." Ruby said, blushing as well as she found her head resting against one of Glynda's beasts.

Taking a glance behind them to make sure no one was looking, Glynda draped her free arm around the girl, pulling the other end of Ruby's cape around her. "If this gets into the paper tomorrow, I'll never forgive you for it." Glynda said. Glancing down at her girlfriend, Glynda watched as the Ruby swallowed the remainder of her drink. "So how's the punch?"

"Non-alcoholic as far as I can tell." Ruby said. "Though I don't really know what being drunk feels like."

"Do you feel lightheaded?" Glynda asked before Ruby shook her head. "Dizzy? Are you beginning to lose your impulse control?"

"Pretty sure I'm fine." Ruby said, before sending a smile up towards the blonde. "Though I usually feel like that when I'm with you."

"Well then, the past month must have been horrible for you." Glynda joked, earning a chuckling from her girlfriend.

"Oh, come on." Ruby said, poking her wrist companion's stomach. "Don't tell me I don't make you feel like you're walking on cloud nine."

"Well, you do get my heart beating." Glynda said. "Though you might want to keep it down. Everyone's a room away, remember."

"Relax, they're all blowing their eardrums out." Ruby said, gesturing to the dance behind the pair. "They probably don't even know we're out here."

*Thump!* *Click!*

Ruby and Glynda immediately turned to look behind them upon hearing the noise. As they suspected, the doors to the balcony had been slammed shut. Ruby and Glynda glanced at each other for a moment before they quickly approached the door, grabbing onto the handles to try and pull the doors open.

"Locked." Glynda said when the handles refused to move, more to herself than her wrist companion.

"I guess everyone's on to us now." Ruby said with a nervous grin.

"You brought your Scroll, right?" Glynda asked. "We can probably call someone to let us back in."

"Well, we could…" Ruby said, before grabbing her girlfriend's hands, guiding her away from the door before pinning her to the wall. "Or we could enjoy a moment of privacy."

"Ruby…" Glynda began, before pushing herself off the wall, spinning the pair around to place Ruby against it. "Submissive is not my look."

"Then why have I been leading this dance of ours?" Ruby said, trying to sound clever. As if as an answer to Ruby's question, Glynda pressed her lips against Ruby's, and the two allowed their tongues to explore the other's mouth as Glynda's hands drifted down Ruby's sides. Finding her hips, Glynda hoisted Ruby up, keeping the younger girl pressed against the wall in an attempt to keep Ruby at her level. Ruby's free arm went over Glynda's shoulder as her legs wrapped around Glynda's waist, trying to help the woman stay stable as they began moaning into the other.

After several moments of their lips dancing across each other, the two parted for air. They stared into the other's eyes, taking in cold breaths that helped to cool their blushing cheeks before Glynda began nuzzling her nose against Ruby's. "How long would you like to stay out here for?" Glynda asked, her lips barely meeting Ruby's as her breath danced across the girl's mouth.

"How long's the dance?" Ruby asked, before the two went back to kissing.

Ruby let out a yawn as she and Glynda walked through the halls, empty and quiet as everyone else continued the ball. As the noise escaped her lips, she brought up her free hand as if to catch it and put it back in. "Boy, I'm beat…" Ruby mumbled, glancing over at Glynda to see the woman carrying herself as she usually did. "How come you're not tired? We've been dancing almost all night."

"I'm more of a night person." Glynda said, before letting out a slight yawn herself as the pair approached the room's door. "Though the dance always has a way of tiring me out."

"Do you think they'll be mad when they realize they're all stuck together until morning?" Ruby asked as Glynda pulled out her Scroll to open it.

"They're training to fight monsters, Ruby." Glynda said as she unlocked the door. "I'm sure they can handle sharing beds for one night."

"I guess." Ruby said, following her teacher into the bedroom. "Though I'd hate to see the look one Weiss's face."

"We'll probably get an earful tomorrow." Glynda commented as she and Ruby shut the door behind them, letting out a tired sigh before the two glanced at each other.

"Still worth it?" Ruby asked.

"Still worth it." Glynda reaffirmed, before pushing herself off the door with a tired huff. "Now come on, let's get ready for bed." With that, the two began slipping out of their dresses, hanging their capes on the bed frame while they dropped the rest of their outfits to the floor. Stripping down to their underwear, Glynda began towards the dresser, ready to pull out Ruby's pajamas before her cuffed arm yanked her back towards the bed. "Ruby, don't you need-" Glynda began, glancing behind her to see Ruby already crawling into bed.

"Nah, too tired for PJs." Ruby responded, already wrapping herself in Glynda's blankets before patting the open space beside her. "I'll sleep in my undies tonight."

"Your… Undies?" Glynda repeated, a blush growing across her face.

"Yeah, you've been doing it for a month." Ruby answered. "No harm in it, right?"

Glynda silently stuttered out syllables as Ruby pulled the covers up, allowing Glynda to see that Ruby was, indeed, laying on her bed in nothing but her strapless bra and red panties, not even a hint of a blush on her face beneath her closed eyes. For a bit, Glynda had trouble putting her thoughts into words before she stepped towards the bed. "I… Suppose not…" Glynda stuttered out, slowly climbing into bed next to the red-haired girl.

It wasn't until Glynda's free hand gently caressed Ruby's side and Glynda laid down in front of her that Ruby realized what she had invited Glynda into. A blush spread across her face as well as Glynda gently pressed herself against the red-haired girl, and any embarrassment the two might have felt quickly washed away as they looked at each other and smiled. Skin met skin as the two settled into position, and without a word, the two put their lips together. As they gently kissed, the cuffed pair pulled themselves closer to their girlfriend before they parted, both blushing as bright as Christmas trees.

"Goodnight, Glyn." Ruby said as her eyes drooped shut.

"Good night, Rosebud." Glynda replied before the two drifted off to sleep, gently holding the other close.

Fun fact about this chapter: It was originally going to star Coco giving the cuffed pair Ruby's dress, as well as playfully mocking Ruby about her crush on Glynda to kick off this chapter's main plot. But I decided to rework that scene to better fit with RWBY canon and to make Yang's purpose in their plan more sensible.

Aside from that, all I can really say about this chapter is that I had to cut a scene from it. I won't spoil what it was, but I will say it didn't contribute much to this chapter's plot progression and I felt this chapter needed to be trimmed a bit. Even though the scene was only six-hundred words long, and this chapter is roughly ten times that, but whatever.

Sorry for taking so long on updating. I've been working on getting my driver's license and that's been interrupting my schedule a bit. Also sorry I didn't focus on the dance part of this chapter all that much. I've never been to one, so I don't know what they're like outside of what I've seen in media, which doesn't give me a lot to go on. I also probably could have done more with most of the students getting cuffed together, but I can't think of any good interactions, and I felt this chapter was long enough as is.
