Last Time…
Going up to the door I wasn't sure what to expect but one of the things I for sure didn't expect was a leaf nin huffing and puffing as well as a Suna nin standing right beside him. I looked at them quizzically and said, "What's going on?"
The leaf nin panted as he said, "Nara-san I was told to get this to you immediately." He handed me a letter and fell to his knees in exhaustion. By this time Kankuro and Gaara had gotten up to see what was going on as the Sand nin said, "You are needed in the hospital."
Now…
Shikamaru's POV:
My eyes widened, "I am?" I was worried this can't be because of Shikina, she was fine when I left earlier. She couldn't have relapsed she was thriving and doing better every day.
The nin shook his head making me sigh in relief, at least I knew the twins were okay. He pointed behind me towards Gaara, "You Lord Kazekage."
Gaara nods and turns towards Shikadai, "Goodnight, I will see you in the morning."
Shikadai nods and turns to Kankuro, "Will you be leaving too Uncle Kankuro?" You could tell he was secretly hoping Kankuro would say no.
Kankuro sighs, "Yeah, sorry kid, it's getting late and you need your sleep. Plus Gaara may need my help so I'll see you in the morning, alright?" Once again Shikadai nods, a little disappointed but not too badly because he knows he will see them in the morning.
Once they left Shikadai and I sat at the table, I stared at the letter in my hands not knowing what could be inside when I heard Shikadai say, "You gonna open it Papa?" I sigh and slowly open the letter realizing it was from Naruto I began to read it.
Choji's POV:
Hinata had come to me with concerns for Ino. She thought Ino may try to push herself too hard and that it could lead her to trouble or hurting herself and I can not agree more. She isn't the same Ino that went into the hospital, she is the stubborn girl from years ago because she doesn't remember things she has learned since then. She would most likely convince her parents to leave her alone or kick them out and then push herself to do something she shouldn't because she doesn't want to be weak. Something might happen and she'd be stuck with no help from anyone because she thought she could handle stuff on her own. I agreed with Hinata that this may be a problem so I told her I would go check in on Ino just before she goes to bed to make sure everything's alright and she doesn't need anything.
So at the end of the night I headed over to Shikamaru's home where Ino has been staying with the boys. I was hoping that she hadn't went upstairs yet since I forgot the key I had for the house. As I got closer I wasn't liking the feeling in my gut….so I grabbed a bag of chips hoping to calm the anxious feeling I had.
I noticed the lights were still on, on the main floor so she must not have gone upstairs yet. I walk up to the door and start to knock, I waited a few minutes and knocked again. There was no answer and now I was starting to get more worried, I pounded on the door and called out to Ino, but still no answer, I tried the door but it was locked, I sighed and backed up putting the bag of chips into my pockets. I take a deep breath and barge towards the door planning on knocking it down. The door easily gave way and I was able to get into the house, I looked around the living room and the kitchen but there was no sign of Ino. I went towards the stairs knowing the only other place she could be would be upstairs but why were the lights left on? As I went into the hall where the stairs were I saw it, Ino was laying on the ground at the bottom of the stairs, curled in a ball, wincing in pain. My eyes widened and I ran to her.
Ino's POV:
I slowly make my way up the stairs and realize I left the lights on downstairs. I sighed and decide to forget it and keep going I was almost up the stairs when suddenly I get a headache and flashes of what I assumed to be of the past are overwhelming me. It's mostly of that night with Sai that lead me here, being beaten to near death and suddenly I am falling. I tumble down the stairs and once I land at the bottom I wince and turn my body, curling up in pain and wincing. What just happened? It seemed like I was there for hours when I heard it, someone breaking through the door, going through the house and calling out, "Ino!"
