The few hours inside Nax City was quite amazing. There were many attractions and flashy lights that came from casinos and other massive buildings.
"Didn't knew this place had so many casinos and businesses." I told myself.
Mystic looked out and gave a soft squeal of excitement as I smiled and gently rubbed her head.
"Lets search for the gym. Sounds good?" I looked at her.
She nodded and smiled before jumping out and walking beside me. She seemed quite excited to explore this city and I was the same since this place looked very nice. It was built very nicely and smooth with materials made out of what looked like marble, stone, quartz and I swore I saw some ruby pavement.
"Jeez, this place does look amazing." I told myself.
Letting out a smile, I walked down the street as Mystic held my hand. I walked down the road for a bit before I suddenly stopped. Mystic kept walking but soon was tugged back due to me stopping. She looked at me confused but I was focused on something. She tilted her head as I slowly turned towards her.
"Look at this." I told her.
Mystic looked confused but looked at the display of a shop. We both looked at a BMX bike which was customized with the best features. It had tires and rims created for racing and the frame looked light but still durable, allowing for high speeds. I continued to scan the bike as I spotted some more. The chain seemed to be made out of titanium and had pedals made out of the same titanium.
"Wow… This looks like the perfect bike for me." I said.
All together, the bike looked amazing as it even came with other smaller details. Water bottle slot, reflectors, no external wires like older bikes and more.
"Alright, I need this." I said.
Looking at Mystic, I walked into the store with her. I turned the corner and saw the bike. Looking around, I noticed an employee and walked up to them. They looked on as I approached and I explained that I wanted to buy the bike on display in the window.
"Ah, yes… That is newer stock that came in not more then a week ago." He said.
He then walked over and took it off the display. He rolled it over and did something before looking at me.
"Alright. It's set to go." He said.
"Sweet. How much is it?" I asked.
"It's $200" He replied.
I stopped as I clearly didn't have that money.
"Oh, err… Give me a moment." I said.
I walked towards the front door and pulled out my HaloX as I called my mother.
"Hello…?" My mothers voice came.
"Hey, um, it's me." I said.
"Amy? Glad you called. Was starting to worry." She said.
"Yeah, err… I sorta need help." I said.
"Huh? What happened?" She instantly sounded worried again.
"Oh, it's nothing bad. I just, um… Need you to buy me something." I said.
"Hmm… Okay… What is it?" She asked.
"Well… I spotted a very nice bike that could really help me travel. It's however $200. So, um… I was hoping you could buy this for me." I said.
"Okay… Since you aren't causing mayhem, I'll do this for you just this one time." She sighed softly.
"Thanks…" I said.
"Just try not to destroy it like that one time when you were 15." She said.
"Don't worry, I won't." I told her.
After saying our goodbyes, the call ended as I walked up to the worker again. I typed in some numbers on a keypad as it soon flashed green, confirming the purchase.
"Payment seems good. It's all yours." He said.
Smiling softly and nodding, I took hold of the handlebars and pushed it outside. Mystic decided to sit on the seat as I pushed the bike down the sidewalk.
"Pretty nice, huh? I'm sure we'll have fun flying down the road on this." I said.
Mystic nodded and smiled as she continued to sit on it as I pushed down the sidewalk. After walking down the road for a bit, I stopped and took Mystic off the seat. I then placed her in the bag as I got on the bike as it seemed perfect for me.
"This feels quite nice. Perfect fit. Now lets find the gym…!" I said.
Mystic let out a soft squeal as I started to pedal.
We started rolling down the road and I smiled, feeling the nice air blow past my face.
"Perfect..." I spoke softly and continued down.
The ride was quite nice as I passed more flashy buildings with large neon lights. I just continued going down and turned the corner. Upon turning the corner, I noticed a large building with a plain looking icon with no special features.
"Huh… Pretty sure that's the normal gym." I told myself.
Looking down to Mystic, I looked up and suddenly started picking up speed. I started to pedal quickly as most of the ride was downhill. After catching enough speed, I stopped and let the hill push me faster and faster. Mystic looked somewhat surprise due to how fast we were going as the wind whipped against my face.
"Now this is fun." I spoke.
Mystic slowly nodded as Flanite appeared to have awoken up due to the movement. When he woke up, he suddenly looked shocked and hugged Mystic. I let out a giggle and continued to fly down the hill.
It only took about two minutes before we reached the bottom. The speed we had managed to roll us all the way to the building as I slowed. Once at a complete stop, I slowly got off and pushed the bike to some bike racks.
Setting it in the racks, I pulled out a padlock which came with the bike as I locked it. Looking at the bike and making sure the lock was correctly locked, I slowly looked up towards the gym.
"How about we get a feel for the place?" I looked at the two.
Mystic nodded as Flanite still appeared shook. I let out a small giggle seeing Flanite like this as I walked towards the doors. When the doors opened, I walked in and looked around.
"Nice place already." I told myself.
Looking around, the gym was filled with people and Pokemon. This place was quite packed for a gym unlike the others. This made me a bit confused, but I tried not thinking much about it as I walked up to the front counter. No one was there and I tilted my head before shrugging. This place is so full so I decided to just leave for now. When we left, I told Mystic and Flanite that we'll just go around the city some more. The two didn't mind and nodded as I walked to my bike and took it. We just spent about two hours around the city doing random stuff. I didn't really know what to do honestly.
"Hmm… Not really sure what to do… There has to be something to do here..." I told myself.
Mystic jumped out of the bag and looked at me. She then smiled and squeaked before running off.
"Mystic?" I sounded confused.
She ran down the road as I followed. I wasn't sure where she was going and I didn't want to lose her, so I tried my best to keep up as I soon got onto my bike and rode after her. My bike managed to stay close to her as she started to run into alleys. Getting more confused, I tried following her through narrow locations.
"Mystic? Where are you going?" I asked.
Mystic didn't speak or stop. She just continued running in random directions.
Now, this went on for about half an hour when she finally stopped. I panted softly as I slowly stopped behind her. She smiled and pointed. Tilting my head, I looked at where she pointed and it appeared to be a place selling cakes.
"Um… You made me ride over half of the city for… This?" I asked.
Mystic smiled and walked over to it as I let out a soft sigh before walking up to her.
"I… Don't really have much money." I told her.
After I said that, the owner of the cake stand walked out from a nearby building and noticed us. He walked up and noticed Mystic looking at the many small cakes behind the glass.
"That your Riolu?" He asked.
"Um, yeah… Lead me all over the city to find this place." I told him.
"Huh… Well, you might wanna wait until a new set of cakes come out." He said.
"What's wrong with the ones there?" I asked.
"They're reserved for a big party down in the bigger part of the city." He replied.
"Oh… Well, guess you have to wait Mystic." I said.
Mystic looked down and let out a soft squeak before walking back to me. I picked her up and promised I'll try and get one for her as she nodded slowly and got into the bag with Flanite.
"Um, sorry about that..." I said.
Looking at the two, I turned around and started to walk back to the main street. Mystic somewhat looked disappointed but I gently rubbed her head.
"It's okay Mystic. How about this… We win this gym and I'll buy you anything you want?" I looked at her.
Mystic looked up and nodded. I smiled and walked around for a good hour before deciding to return to the gym building.
When I reached the gym, I walked in and looked around to notice less people around. Sighing in relief, I walked up to the counter as the person attending it looked at me.
"Another challenger?" He asked.
Nodding, he started doing something on a computer and gave the same stuff the other gyms gave me. Taking them, I walked over to some seats and sat down. Looking at the card, I was number 10 as I dropped my bag on the seat next to me. Mystic came out from the bag and sat next to me while we waited. I wasn't so sure what to expect with this since this appeared to be a normal gym which isn't often seen around.
Thought it was a normal gym, I was sure I would have an advantage due to my selective types. I had fire and water most of all which could deal some damage I bet.
"Okay… So this is a normal gym. Shouldn't take much of a challenge I bet." I told myself.
Looking down to Mystic, I told her we most likely had this as she nodded, excited for it.
"My next badge is in sight. We're gonna show them." I told her.
Mystic nodded and jumped up. She seemed very excited and ready to fight as she did some practice swings and kicks while training on dodging and evading attacks. Flanite noticed what Mystic was doing and looked confused before jumping out and shot a stream of fire at her. Mystic didn't expect it but managed to jump above it and over Flanite. Flanite swiftly performed a roundhouse kick which Mystic stopped with force before pinning Flanite down to the ground.
"Heh… Mystic is getting better it seems. Or maybe you need to spend more time on fighting, Flanite." I let out a short giggle.
Flanite struggled for a moment before Mystic let go of his legs which she held. Looking at them, I picked Flanite up and rubbed his head.
"After this battle and once I get all of us something good to eat… How about we train against each other? You need to sharpen your skills." I said.
He slowly nodded as I placed him back into the bag. After doing so, I suddenly heard a voice over the speaker which spoke my number. Letting out a small smile, determined to win, I grabbed my bag as Mystic jumped onto my back. We then walked towards the doors as they opened.
"Okay… Lets do this." I said.
I then walked through the doors to the battlefield...
