"'Well, is everything going good?" Kokkinos asked one of the Mistral soldiers at the outpost. The searchlights were on, the guards were patrolling the walls and some Huntsmen were outside now that night had fallen. His spear was on his back and an plate gauntlet on his right arm with four different Dust compartments on the knuckles.

"Everything's well," the soldier answered. "Tell me: how is a kid like Silvio Steel able to organize an entire militia?"

"His family has many connections," Kokkinos responded. "Plus, he's really not a kid anymore. He's in his early twenties, I think…and he has some military training from his uncle."

"I honestly wish I could've been at the Battle of Haven," the soldier responded. "Those Iron Knight bastards…if you ask me, they're just fanatics. Delusional ones, at that. You've fought them, right?"

"I have," Kokkinos answered. "There really is no end to their delusions. They think they're heroes for destroying a society that supports Huntsmen, but they're blind to the damage they cause. Or they simply don't want to accept responsibility."

"Yeah," the soldier agreed. "How's your sister, Pyrrha? You said she returned to Argus."

"She has," Kokkinos confirmed with a smile. "It's really been too long since I've seen my little sister…and she brought a boyfriend with her."

"Who's the lucky guy?"

"Mathdon Kendrick. He was at the Battle of Haven; didn't have time to get to know him personally, but from she's said, he's a very good man." He smirked.

"Who knows? Maybe Mom will be a grandmother soon." The soldier chuckled.

"You're the worst sometimes," the soldier responded.

"Hey," another voice greeted, belonging to Copper Hanks. "Everything okay here?"

"Good so far," Kokkinos replied. "What about your teammates? They're doing okay since they got here?"

"Yeah," Copper replied. "After the attack on the Argus Limited, we decided to come here and-" Copper's scroll went off, receiving a call from Philip.

"What is it?"

"I'm seeing something suspicious out there. I think there's movement."

"Movement?" Copper asked. "Get a spotlight out there. See what you can find." As soon as Copper hung up, the nearby Mistral soldier moved their spotlight to look around.

"Did you see something?" Kokkinos questioned.

"I thought I saw something," the soldier answered. "Was it…?"

BOOM!

"Huh!?" Copper gasped. The three men looked over to see that the west spotlight had been destroyed.

"What was that?" the soldier gasped.

"Look out!" Kokkinos warned as a missile launched at the tower they were on. They leapt off the tower and landed on the catwalk below just as it was destroyed by the missile.

"Sound the alarm!" the soldier commanded over his scroll. "We're under attack!" For some strange reason, the alarm didn't go off, therefore not activating the defensive countermeasures.

"I repeat, sound the alarm! Activate the defenses! Do you read!?"

"Why aren't the defenses activating?" Kokkinos wondered. "They should've turned on automatically. What's going on?"

Suddenly, a loud creaking noise was heard from the ground level. Everyone looked down to see another thing going wrong: all of the gates were opening up, which would allow the attackers to freely enter the outpost unopposed.

"Iron Knights!" one of the solders cried out. "Iron Knights are-" A gunshot to his head silenced the soldier, making his body fall to the ground.

"Who allowed the gates to open!?" Copper barked.

"Mobilize defenses!" the outpost commander shouted, holding a standard Mistrali assault rifle and directing his soldiers to position. "Open fire!"

"Come on!" Kokkinos told Copper and the soldier. "We need to…help…" A flood of Iron Knights poured through the gates, shouting as they opened fire on the Mistrali soldiers. With the defenses offline, the Iron Knights were able to freely go anywhere in the outpost with the only threat being the Huntsmen and soldiers.

Just then, Copper's scroll went off, receiving a call from Ricky.

"What is it?"

"There was an Iron Knight infiltrator! They turned off the defenses and opened the gates!"

"What!? Are you serious?"

"I wish I was lying, mate, but I'm not. To make matters worse, they've thrown the kill switch: the entire system's shut down."

"The entire system!? So the defenses, everything is offline?" Just then, the scroll signal cut, ending their conversation.

"We need to get back to Argus," Kokkinos insisted. "We have to warn them."

"But the ships are on the other side of the base," the soldier responded. "We'd have to fight our way there." The three fighters hurried down towards the main catwalk that would take them to the higher levels of the main building, far above where the Iron Knights were entering.

"How did they get an infiltrator in here?" Copper wondered.

"That doesn't matter right now," Kokkinos responded. "Right now…Oh, my Oum." Kokkinos looked down at where the Iron Knights were entering; four tanks were rolling up, their cannons aiming for the catwalks where the Mistrali soldiers were, but on one of them…was none other than Nachtfel.

"Who is that?" Copper questioned, feeling the dread emit from the black knight whose armor was stained with smeared blood.

"Nachtfel," Kokkinos answered. "If he's here…we have to give the evacuation signal! We have to warn Argus!"

"Then go secure a transport," the soldier insisted before cocking his rifle. "I'll go inform the commander to evacuate."

AAAARRRRHHHHH! Everyone looked above to witness a large herd of Manticores flying their way, drawn to the negativity of the battle. They were far off, but were definitely closing in on them.

"Great," Kokkinos groaned. Down below, Mistrali tanks started unloading from the garages and rolled onto the ground, aiming for the Iron Knights artillery weapons. Noticing this, Nachtfel disintegrated into ashes and flew towards the Mistrali tanks just as they opened fire, destroying one of the IKs artillery pieces.

"We need to hurry," Kokkinos insisted again as they ran across the catwalk and into the main building. Upon entering the sounds of the doors being broken were heard from the ground level, meaning that the Iron Knights had managed to break in and start attacking everyone inside.

"Come on!" Kokkinos told Copper. "We have to help those people!" The two Huntsmen quickly leapt over the railing and landed on the bottom floor, where the Mistrali soldiers were quickly being overwhelmed by the Iron Knights.

"Huntsmen!" one of the Iron Knights shouted. "Use flash bangs!" Several IKs grabbed flash bang grenades and threw them at the two Huntsmen; luckily, Copper quickly took out his rifle and shot each one of them before they could detonate.

"Look out!" Kokkinos warned as some of the IKs launched electric cables at the two Huntsmen. The two quickly dodged out of the way before taking fire from the Iron Knights.

"They probably don't have Aura Breaking ammunition anymore," Copper commented as he and Kokkinos hid behind two pillars as the Iron Knights advanced, being careful not to waste ammunition.

Kokkinos then knelt down and his Aura started to glow with red and an animalistic figure started to appear in front of him. While his Aura envelopes him, a large Aura Ram had been summoned.

"Is that his Semblance?" Copper wandered. The Aura Ram gave out a loud shout before charging towards the Iron Knights, who started firing on the strange creature as it came closer and closer. The ram lowered its head and plowed through the Iron Knights, either knocking them down or killing them with its horns.

"Out of the way!" one of the Knights shouted as he lifted a heavy assault rifle and fired, easily tearing the Aura Ram to shreds and causing Kokkinos's Aura to disappear.

"Was that your Semblance?" Copper asked the elder Nikos.

"Yeah, hoping to take out some of their numbers," Kokkinos answered. "Where's the entrance to the hangar?"

"It's on the other side of that hallway," Copper responded as he reloaded his rifle and fired at the Iron Knights, taking cover behind the pillar.

Kokkinos activated his Dust gauntlet, creating two Fire Dust javelins and held one in each hand. He stepped from behind the pillar and threw one of the javelins, exploding on impact and killing several Iron Knights. When he was about to throw the second one, a bullet hit the javelin instead, making it explode right in his hand and making his Aura shimmer from the blast.

"Kokkinos!" Copper called as the Nikos laid against the pillar, grabbing his hand in pain.

"Fire in the hole!" one of the Mistrali soldiers shouted as he chucked a grenade at the Iron Knights, killing more of them.

"Cover fire!" the same soldier from earlier commanded. While several Mistrali soldiers fired at the Iron Knights, a few more helped get Copper and Kokkinos out of the line of fire.

"Copper!" Primrose shouted as she, Philip and Ricky came into view. Copper hugged each of them, glad that they were safe and alive.

"Where's the commander?" Philip asked one of the soldiers. "We need to organize an evacuation immediately."

"He's leading the defenses on the catwalks," one of the soldiers answered. A loud explosion was heard from outside, followed by the crashing sounds of the catwalk.

"Our communications are knocked out," Primrose stated. "We have no way of contacting anyone. Was anyone able to get a distress signal out to Argus?"

"No," another soldier denied. "They had someone on the inside to knock out communications before we could send any signals."

"We have to get to the hangar," Kokkinos insisted, the pain from the explosion having subsided thanks to his Aura. "We need to get to a ship and warn Argus."

"And another to Mistral," Primrose stated. "Argus will need reinforcements if the Iron Knights plan on attacking it."

"Then we need to find a way to give out an evacuation signal," Philip replied. "We cannot just abandon these soldiers."

"Find the commander," Kokkinos told Philip. "Everyone else, hurry to the hangar and get a ship before the Iron Knights can destroy them. Go!" Philip and several soldiers hurried off to find the commander while Kokkinos, Copper, Primrose and Ricky hurried to the hangar, hoping that the Iron Knights hadn't reached there yet.

Nachtfel turned into ashes and entered through the vents in the next Mistrali tank. Before the crew could react, Nachtfel unsheathes his weapon and cut them all down in a matter of moments before turning back into ashes and leaving the tank, leaving it open to be blown up by his forces.

He looked up to see several Mistrali soldiers running across the catwalk, preparing to fire at him. As they opened a barrage of bullets on him, he turned into ashes once more and flew up onto the catwalk before recollecting himself.

"Kill him!" one of the soldiers panicked. Nachtfel easily deflected the bullets with his sword and scabbard, slaughtering any of the soldiers that came within close proximity. The rest of them either opened fire trying to bring him down or fled across the catwalks and up the stairs.

"Kill that monster!" another soldier cried out. "He'll slaughter our forces!"

"Indeed, I will," Nachtfel confirmed as he slashed another soldier in half. He heard the noise of several more soldiers lining up on another catwalk, aiming at the leader of the Iron Knights. Before any of them could fire, they were attacked by a Manticore who landed on the catwalk and proceeded to devour two of them before being killed.

"Grimm," Nachtfel spoke.

"Nachtfel!" an Iron Knight called out from below. The Iron Knight was different from the rest; instead of the traditional armor they wore, he wore leather armor and wore a respirator on his neck along with a breather mask on his face. His weapons were a pair of kopises that contained Dust compartments in the crossguard.

He was the Iron Knight captain, Renegade.

"Our brothers and sisters saw Huntsmen heading for the hangar! They're trying to escape!"

"Cowards," Nachtfel whispered before responding "You and I will take care of them! The rest, hunt down and kill any soldiers they find!"

"Understood," Renegade replied. He then ran up the side of the building, a black Aura trail following after him as he used his Semblance to move at superhuman speeds and meet up with his commander.

"Let's move," Nachtfel insisted as the two of them hurried off to the hangar.

"Commander!" Philip called out as he punched an Iron Knight in the jaw and then blasted him away with his laser.

"Fire in the hole!" one of the Knights shouted as he tossed a flash grenade down the stairs where Philip was. He shielded his eyes just as the grenade went off, but was pushed back when a great force landed on him. Even with his armor on, he could still feel the pain from the projectile fired at him.

"Kill him! Bring the heavy rifles!" one of the Knights ordered. When Philip recollected himself, he caught onto three Iron Knights with heavy rifles aiming for him, which he suspected could easily tear through his armor and Aura if enough damage was taken.

Just as they fired, Philip activated the hard-light shield in his left gauntlet, deflecting the bullets. He then activated his jetpack and charged forward, taking down the three Knights with the heavy rifles. When he felt a bullet bounce off his helmet, he turned to see another Knight about to fire; Philip activated his Fire Dust laser and shot him off the catwalk.

"Commander!" Philip called out yet again.

"Here," the Commander replied, firing at several Knights from his position. "Why isn't anything working!?"

"The Iron Knights had an infiltrator," Philip explained. "The entire system's shut down. We've no way of getting the defenses online."

"What?" the Commander gasped. "Are you joking?"

"No, I'm not," Philip responded. "Our communications have also been knocked out. We have no way of contacting Mistral or Argus. We need to evacuate!"

"We cannot just abandon this-"

BOOM! One of the tanks fired, destroying another catwalk and making many Mistrali soldiers fall to their deaths. Iron Knights started climbing the ladders and stairs that would take them to the catwalks, where the desperate Mistrali soldiers were still trying to fight.

"Commander," Philip insisted. "We must evacuate. If we don't, then these soldiers will die!"

The Commander looked around, seeing the carnage unleashed in from of him. Due to their defenses being compromised, the Iron Knights were tearing through the soldiers like a hot knife through butter. With their own tanks having been destroyed by Nachtfel, they had almost no way of combating the Iron Knights' artillery. If they stayed, they'd be slaughtered.

Reluctantly, the Commander picked up his flare gun, aimed at the sky and fired, signaling for evacuation. Every soldier that saw the flare immediately started making their way towards the garages and hangars to evacuate in the vehicles.

"Let's go," Philip insisted to the Commander. The two of them hurried off to get to the hangar and find a ship to escape.

-0-

"Hurry!" Kokkinos told everyone as they swiftly approached the hangar, followed by several soldiers and Team CPR, excluding Philip. To their relief, the hangar had been left untouched, and the doors were fortunately still open, despite the system being down.

"There's enough airships for everyone to get out," Copper stated. "So, who knows how to fly?"

"I do," one of the soldiers responded.

"Then go and get one of those ships started," Kokkinos instructed. "Everyone, get back!" Kokkinos created a Fire Dust javelin with his gauntlet again and threw it at the incoming Iron Knights, exploding on impact and killing more of them.

"Guys!" Philip called out as he and the Commander appeared from the staircase to their left. "The evacuation's starting!"

"Great to hear," Kokkinos responded. "Let's get out of here and quick. This place will be overrun with Grimm and Iron Knights soon."

"As well as your corpses," a dark voice stated, belonging to none other than Nachtfel, standing among the corpses of his own Knights while another stood by his side, a kopis in each hand.

"Nachtfel," Copper growled as he aimed at the Iron Knight leader. "You murderous bastard!" He unloaded a shot at the demon swordsman, who effortlessly deflected the bullet with his blade.

"Get the ship started," Kokkinos told the Commander. "We'll take care of them."

"You're welcome to try," Renegade responded before using his Semblance again and appearing right in front of the five warriors. Before they could react, Renegade unleashed a blast of ice on them, knocking them back.

"Oh no, you don't!" Philip shouted as he flew forward and punched at Renegade. The Iron Knight easily dodged the attack and slashed at the jetpack with Ice Dust, trapping it in ice and making Philip crash onto the floor.

Nachtfel rushed towards Kokkinos, recognizing him as the most trained out of the five warriors against him and Renegade. The two clashed weapons, Nachtfel's sword making contact with Kokkinos's spear.

To the Huntsman's surprise, when Nachtfel's sword struck him during their fight, he noticed how the blade had absorbed some of his Aura, like it was feeding off it. He didn't have time to consider how that was possible as he continued his fight with Nachtfel.

By now, the surviving Mistrali soldiers were hurrying to the airships, hoping to escape the Iron Knights' onslaught and the attacking Grimm. Unfortunately for them, some Iron Knights appeared behind them, carrying heavy weapons; instead of aiming for the soldiers however, they aimed for the ships they were fleeing to.

"No, you don't!" the Commander shouted as he appeared from the ship with a rifle in hand. He started shooting the Iron Knights holding heavy weapons to save the ships and allow his men to escape the base. Despite his efforts, several of the Knights were successful in destroying some aircraft, killing some of the soldiers that had already boarded.

Primrose swung her hooked cane at Renegade's feet, hoping to trip him and gain an advantage over him, but he reacted too quickly by jumping over the cane. He then slashed at Primrose's back and kicking her down, but left him open to an attack by Ricky's chain.

Copper fired several shots at Renegade; all of them landed thanks to Ricky's chain holding him down. The Iron Knight rushed towards Ricky, knocking him down and freeing himself from the chain and rushing to retrieve his blades.

Philip and Primrose attacked simultaneously, Primrose with her cane and Philip with his fists. Renegade blocked most of the attacks before using his Semblance to dodge Ricky's chain attack and using it again to strike Copper twice before kicking him into a wall.

"Who are you?" Ricky called out as he swung his chain at the Iron Knight again.

"What do you hope to gain from asking me that?" Renegade questioned. "Fight me or die." He then unleashed two waves of lightning on the three fighters; Primrose and Philip dodged, but Ricky was struck by the attack, leaving him incapacitated.

"Ricky!" Copper shouted before unloading two more rounds at Renegade, but were deflected by his blades.

Kokkinos twirled his spear and lunged at Nachtfel; he dodged the attack and swung at the Nikos, who recovered his weapon in time to block the attack, followed by knocking the blade aside and bring the spear down on the devil swordsman. Nachtfel turned into ashes to avoid the attack and reappeared behind Kokkinos; the Nikos was able to react in time to dodge Nachtfel's attack and counter with a lunge of his spear.

"Come on!" the Commander shouted. "Let's go!"

Kokkinos quickly kicked Nachtfel aside and created an Ice Dust javelin, throwing it at the Iron Knight leader. The javelin exploded on Nachtfel, encasing his legs in ice.

"Run!" Kokkinos told Team CPPR. "Get to the ship! Now!"

"Grab Ricky!" Copper told Philip. Immediately, the armored fighter picked up his incapacitated teammate and hurried to the ship while Copper and Primrose followed behind them. The cowboy quickly turned around and fired several more shots at Renegade, who deflected them with his blades before rushing up to Copper and striking him with a combined attack of Fire and Lightning Dust, depleting what Aura he had left.

"Copper!" Primrose called out. She activated her grapple on her cane and pulled one of Renegade's swords out of his hand before he could finish off Copper. The cowboy quickly got up and hurried to reach his rifle. To his luck, he grabbed it and aimed to fire at the Iron Knight.

Searing pain. Copper felt searing pain in his torso…and Renegade was suddenly very close to him. The cowboy looked down to see that the Knight's other kopis was pierced into his stomach, causing the red fluid keeping him alive to flow out of him.

"No!" Philip cried out before dropping Ricky on the ship and then blasting Renegade with his laser, sending him flying away from his team leader. Primrose, being closer, rushed over to Copper, slung his arm over her shoulder and helped him to the ship they were evacuating.

As soon as Primrose and Copper were on board, the door closed and the ship took off, quickly making its way out of the hangar along with many others ships. Primrose put Copper down and Philip pulled the blade out of his torso, hoping to use his laser to sear the wound close.

"Don't, mate," Ricky stopped Philip. "He's losing too much blood and some of his vital organs have been damaged. He's not going to make it."

"No!" Philip refused. "We have to try! We-" Copper reached over and placed his hand on Philip's shoulder, making everyone look at him.

"Don't get teary eyed on me now," he insisted. "I know what I signed up for."

"But Copper," Primrose addressed. "We…we can't lose you." Copper smiled.

"You guys keep going. As for me…" Ricky and Primrose were starting to cry, hating where this was going. Philip looked down at the floor of the ship, his eyes filled with anger towards being unable to keep his teammate alive.

"This isn't goodbye…it's…see you later." Copper's eyes then closed, his life ending from the wound inflicted by Renegade.

"How many escaped?" Nachtfel questioned Renegade.

"Enough," Renegade answered. "How did we not kill them all? We had all the advantages-"

"Patience," Nachtfel insisted. "This isn't the real fight. The real one is in Argus…and you will ensure the destruction of the force field generator AND the communications tower. If we take them out, Argus will have no way of defending against our artillery or calling for help."

"That'll be difficult since they'll warn Argus of our attack," Renegade responded.

"Mercury and Emerald will go with you," Nachtfel responded. "I've already spoken to them; they've agreed to help us."

"Are you sure about Emerald?" Renegade asked. "She's loyal to Cinder, not us."

"Cinder used her like a tool," Nachtfel responded. "Sooner or later, she'll need to face that reality."

"Just those two? Will they be enough?"

"Trust me; their Semblances will come in handy."

"The Grimm are still attacking!" one of the Iron Knights shouted as the Manticores descended upon them.

"The work's not over yet," Nachtfel told Renegade as they prepared their blades.
