Caine arrived at the entranceway to a section of the Spearhead that's function was a combination of lifeboat in case of cataclysmic ship damage but to also remain the small fleet's command vessel when separated from the larger hull. Following the commands he had given earlier, there were dozens of crew members and droids milling about, waiting for their leader to arrive so they could board and prepare it for separation.

When his soldiers saw him arrive they all fell into tight formation and snapped to attention. He stopped to acknowledge them with quick raised hand and got right to the point.

"We have no more than five minutes to initiate the separation sequence and get clear of the main hull." Caine bellowed "Get aboard immediately and do your duty as you have been trained."

The entranceway opened with a whoosh. In seconds the entire group efficiently moved inside, darting in different directions as soon they crossed the threshold to get to their assigned positions. Caine followed the last one in and closed the door behind him. Anyone who didn't make it in time was out of luck. They needed to separate immediately.

Caine stood on the makeshift bridge of his emergency vessel with calmness and command. It definitely wasn't ideal that he had to essentially scuttle his mighty flagship, but the crew needed leadership at the moment and the larger mission was still about to be completed. Khallis and Wolfe's bombers would be firing again in approximately nine minutes, bringing a swift end to this battle. The mop up of the remaining cruisers and fighters could then begin.

He couldn't make up his mind on whether or not this all was a success. He would soon watch his mother die in a ball of flame, but he was infuriated that he was so close to having the information needed to locate her brother yet came away empty. It wasn't beyond reason, however, that his father and sister were resourceful enough to get off the dying Spearhead before it went critical. As he pondered this, he was filled a sudden spark of hope.

The entire bridge suddenly rocked and the thunderous sound of gigantic metal clamps releasing echoed all around them. The lifeboat was free of the main hull, dropping fast away from it. In seconds sublight engines kicked in and they we moving clear of what would soon be a white hot debris field where his flagship currently hovered.

"Lieutenant", Caine called out to an officer across the room monitoring ship sensors. "Scan the area for a Corellian YT-1300 freighter and if you locate it, transmit its coordinates to Commander Khallis and Commander Wolfe. Inform them that I want it caught in a tractor beam."

The sensor operator complied without hesitation.

If they got lucky and could capture that ship, Caine thought, then he could reclaim his prize. This time, however, he wouldn't entertain ANY weakness. He would make his father watch as he destroyed his prized starship and then… he would kill him.
