In a shallow body of water, Steven emerged from the water, coughing and catching his breath for a moment before looking around the surroundings.

"Where am I now?" the boy asked himself before he spotted Greg, Falinks, and Cramorant all together along with two other humans. "Dad?"

"Huh? Steven?" Greg replied, looking in Steven's direction in shock. Upon realizing that it was in fact Steven, the two ran up to each other and gave each other a hug.

"Dad, it's you!" Steven celebrated.

"Steven, my little man!" Greg replied.

"Dad! When Blue Diamond took you, I got so scared. And then the Gems said you might be in some horrible human zoo all chained up to a wall... doing tricks for peanuts…" Steven cried.

"Hey, hey, it's okay, schtu-ball. Your old man's perfectly fine. Wait, how'd you even get out here?" Greg asked.

"The same way those two did, on a ship with the Gems." Steven said pointing to Falinks and Cramorant. "I'll explain more later, I got separated from the Gems, we got to find them and get out of here.

Steven went back to the lake and splashed around looking for the entrance.

"Well, you're not gonna get out that way. I've already tried." Greg explained.

"What?! Well, there might be another way out if we can find it." Steven thought.

"Don't worry, there is." Hagakure spoke up. "There's a door that we came through, so we can get out there."

"Hagakure? How'd you get in here?" Steven asked.

"Same way Falinks and Cramorant did." Hagakure said.

"Ga-reg! Who is that with you?" the man who was tending to greg asked.

"Is this a new friend, Ga-reg?" the woman also asked.

"Wy-six, Jay-ten, this is-" Greg started.

"Let me have my dad back already!" Steven said.

"Steven, wait!" Hagakure whispered. "They're cool, relax."

"Hagakure's right, Steven. In fact, they've treated me so well since I got here." Greg assured.

"Wha?" Steven was confused.

"Greetings, Greetings!"

At that moment, more humans came out from the bushes and gathered around Steven, mumbling to each other.

"Everyone, this is Steven. He's my son!" Greg introduced.

"Uuh…hi." Steven nervously greeted.

"Hi!" the humans greeted back.

"Thanks for… braiding my dad's hair." Steven thanked.

"Steven, these people are the descendants of humans brought here by Gems thousands of years ago. They've never seen the Earth before. Isn't that wild?!" Greg asked. "In fact, they don't know about the other worlds out there."

"Really?" Steven asked.

"He's right. When they saw Falinks and Cramorant, they thought they were strange creatures. As for me, they don't know I'm human, just another voice that they listen to." Hagakure said.

"Ste-van, Ga-reg has told us stories of you." Wy-six piped in. "'The Bits! The Bits!' That's you, right?"

"The bits! The Bits! The Bits!" the other humans chanted.

"What are they talking about?" Hagakure asked.

"I-It's something I do when it comes to fries." Steven explained, clearly embarrassed. "But nevermind that, we have to get out of here!"

"I know. I found the door that'll get us out, but we can't do it right now." Hagakure said.

"She's got a point. It'll be easier tonight after the Daily Routine." Greg agreed.

At that moment, a chime rang out as the earrings on everyone glowed.

"Greetings, everyone. It's time to start the daily routine. Please enjoy your meal during this designated eating period." a female voice announced.

"Who was that?" Steven asked.

"Ste-van does not know what a little voice is. Just like Ga-reg when he first arrived." Wy-six said amusingly.

"Our little voices guide us through life here." Jay-ten added.

"You all must be hungry now." the voice spoke again, to which all of the zoos residents agreed and walked to the forest.

"Umm...Dad?" Steven asked.

"Don't worry, Steven. We'll get out of here. But for now, let's just play along." Greg assured.

Steven and Greg then went off with the other humans. Hagakure then observed what was going on inside the Zoo.

The others were observing the Human Zoos routine through a nano-camera on Hagakure. Everything they were doing was somewhat confusing.

"This is…strange, cool and a little off." Hope said. "It's like they're ignoring the fact that they're captured and are at peace with having to be told what to do."

"When you think about it, it's almost like watching a more laid back version of Danganronpa, don't ya think?" AKane asked.

"I wouldn't go that far, but the implications of this is very wrong." Hope said. "You think so too, right Mark?"

"I have to agree. They're prisoners who don't even know they're imprisoned. To me...it's more than a little disturbing." Mark said.

"It's definitely no way for anybody to live." Hope said. "It's a good think those people don't know about Hagakure, or this would get really weird."

"Yeah, the last thing we need is for those people to think that there's a ghost or something." Emo added.

"Hey guys, look at this! They're doing something!" Hiyoko said.

"What is it?" Hope asked.

"Something they call 'The Choosening'?" Mahiru asked.

"What is that even supposed to mean? It's like the Gems are orchestrating these people to-" Kazuichi said before he froze.

"What's wrong, Soda?" Hope asked.

"I think I know what they're trying to do." Kazuichi said.

"What, it's just an ordinary friendship-" Hope started before Kazuichi explained it. "OH MY GOODNESS!"

"Marriage?! Seriously?!" Ibuki asked.

"I don't freaking believe it…" ZS said. "That's just wrong, man."

"...I'm gonna go...punch a wall for a few...hours." Mark stated chillingly, practically storming out of the room.

"Well, look on the bright side." Eddy said. "At least Greg hasn't...wait...yeah, he's been chosen, nevermind."

"I think this is the part where lines are crossed for Greg, right?" Hiyoko asked.

"Clearly, listen to him." Hope said.

"Look, back on Earth, there was no voice to tell you who to be with. It was your own decision." greg explained.

"My mom and dad didn't get together because someone told them to. They spent time getting to know one another and fell in love. They choosened each other 'cause that's what they choosed." Steven added.

Unfortunately, this didn't register well with the Zoomans, as they took it as a sign of themselves making their own choice and started choosing Greg all at once.

"Well that didn't work." Hiyoko said.

"Clearly these guys don't know what happens on their own planet. That's what happens when you live in captivity and are told what to do all your life." Hope said.

"And now, it looks like Greg's saying no and...wow, that escalated quickly. They're all crying now." SE stated.

SE was right, as back on the Zoo, all of the Zoomans broke down in emotion, forcing Steven to retreat with everyone.

"Watch out for that-oof!" Greg warned but too little too late, slamming into a branch. They then took cover as the emotional Zoomen rushed by them. "I haven't broken this many hearts since I had all my hair."

Hagakure was a little disturbed. "I'm not even gonna BEGIN to go into what is wrong with that… and say that the door is opening!"

The door Steven and Greg went to before had opened a dozen Amethyst guards spilling out to try and quell the chaos.

"This is nuts!" Greg said, seeing the chaos and then seeing the door. "Hey, that doors' still open."

"This might be our only chance." Steven said as the group made their way to the door. However, before they reached it, one of the Amethyst guards caught Greg and Steven, lifting them up into the air.

"Oh no you don't!" the guard said. "You two are in big trouble."
