Skylar walked closely behind Lucy, overcome with nerves. What if Levy and her family doesn't like her? When Lucy stopped walking, Skylar almost bumped right into her.

"We're here," Lucy said, gesturing to the house in front of them.

"Oh," Skylar muttered, holding her hands together.

Lucy glanced down at the young sky dragon slayer. "Are you all right, Skylar?" she questioned. "You seem scared."

"It's just... I'm extremely shy and have really bad anxiety," Skylar admitted, looking down at her shoes for the millionth time. Of course she reverted back into her old self once 'talking' to Reiki was over.

"Levy is the sweetest person ever, trust me," Lucy assured Skylar, as she knocked on the door. "You'll love her and vice versa."

"O-okay," Skylar said.

The door opened to reveal a petite woman about Lucy's age, with short blue hair and warm brown eyes.

"Hey, Lu!" she greeted. She glanced down at Skylar. "Oh, hello to you too. You must be Skylar. This is so exciting! I've never taken a child in, or had a girl, or--"

Lucy giggled. "How about I leave the both of you to get well acquented?" she asked.

"Yes," Levy agreed quickly. "Come in, Skylar."

Skylar gave Lucy one final look, and then stepped foot into Levy's house. Lucy left after a wave of good bye.

"So, I'm Levy, in case you didn't know," Levy told Skylar. "Would you like to meet my son, Gale?"

"Uh... sure," Skylar said.

"Gale!" Levy called. She and Skylar waited for a few seconds, before Levy huffed. "Gale Redfox, you better get your butt in here before I ground you!"

A boy with dark green hair, black at its roots, stomped in. He had nose piercings and a scowl on his face. "What do you want, woman?" he demanded.

"Excuse me, sir!" Levy said. "Show some respect, son, before I come over there and--"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Gale rolled his eyes, but then he raised an eyebrow down at Skylar. "Um, who's this, Mom?" he asked.

"This is Skylar," Levy said. "She'll be staying with us for a little while."

Skylar awkwardly smiled. "Yep, that's true," she nervously laughed. "Um, nice to meet you, uh, Gale..."

Gale merely scoffed and walked away without responding. Well, he doesn't seem very nice, Skylar thought, and I have to live with him!

"Oh, don't mind him, Skylar," Levy said. "He's a big softie deep, deep, deep, way deep down. You can meet my husband later. He's on a mission with his exceed -- do you know what an exceed is?"

Skylar nodded. "So he's like Happy?"

"Right," Levy said. "Anyway, how about I show you your room? I didn't have much time to put it together, but it should do."

"Okay." Skylar smiled.

--

Master Laxus sat in his office, thinking about the little girl's -- Skylar's situation. Lucy had told him about her earlier that day.

Oh, Wendy, you and your daughter are in over your heads, caught in a mess too big for you to handle. Why didn't you just seek help? Laxus wondered.

Meanwhile, far away, a fire mage was making his way back to Fairy Tail.

Okay, this chapter was shorter than the others, but I didn't know what else to put, sorry.
