TEKKEN: BLOOD FEUD
Chapter 42: The Devil Awakens
In the crater of Puʻu ʻŌʻō, Hawaiian Islands
The battle between Heihachi and Kazuya continued through this hellish crater. So far, neither father and son had had any intend on backing down. But for Heihachi, Kazuya's activation of his Evil Eye proved to be a headache. There were plenty of times Kazuya were forced to rely on his laser beam, creating flows of lava and decimating the land of rock where they were fighting.
But Heihachi, being the resilient warrior as he claimed to be, never surrendered. No matter how many times he got hit by the blast, the old man kept rising up. Other times, Heihachi had managed to dodge Kazuya's beam, enabling him to get a shot in attacking his opponent.
As heat and smog oozed all around them, both father and son continued their deadly showdown in the crater of Puʻu ʻŌʻō. Kazuya and Heihachi were clashing elbows once again, trying to overpower the other by using their lightning.
"You will die, Heihachi!" Kazuya spat, earning a grin from his father.
"Interesting choice of words! But they won't help you!" Heihachi boasted, proceeding to use his Demon's Breath upon Kazuya, thus sending him flying.
Fortunately for Kazuya, he was quick on his feet. That enabled him to land on one knee. But he was halfway down the volcanic ground. The Japanese man panted deeply, only to notice blood running from his lips. He eventually looked up to see his hated enemy approach his current standpoint.
"If you had any sense you would surrender. At your current state, you are hopeless against me!" Heihachi taunted his son, still finding some pleasure in mocking him. "However, you may a chance of prevailing…if you release your inner demon" he added.
But Kazuya didn't believe a word he said, neither did he wish to heed them. After everything he had done, there was no way that Heihachi would ever get to see his son obeying him. That ship had already sailed.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Kazuya muttered while clenching his gloved right fist onto the ground.
This actually made Heihachi stop, and he stood and watched Kazuya standing there with his arms crossed. It was as if he was finding his son to be amusing.
"Deluded fool! Have you not heard anything I said!? If you really want me to get serious with you…then you should release it! Release that demon inside of you! Let me get a peek of the monster I will kill with my bare hands!" Heihachi demanded from Kazuya.
Kazuya, still refusing to take his father's words for granted, was starting to see what Heihachi's pattern was. The very thought of it made his blood boil.
"You son of a bitch…." Kazuya muttered, only to look up at the old man with demonic rage. "YOU'VE BEEN HOLDING BACK AGAINST ME!?" he screamed at Heihachi.
In response, the Mishima Patriarch laughed loudly at what he saw as Kazuya's gullibility. "Heh! Did you really think that I, your own father, would fight you with all my power against you at your current rate!? Such idiocy!" Heihachi exclaimed, feeling the need to torture Kazuya mentally. "You should know how well I am capable of ending your life, just with one single punch with my full power. But had I done that on your current level, my dignity and pride as a warrior would have been shattered! No, I will not unleash my power towards someone beneath me! Especially against an embarrassment such as you!" he spat.
To hear Heiachi's arrogance enraged Kazuya. Even as he had activated his Evil Eye, Heihachi had still not unleashed the full extent of his powers. To be treated like some weakling by Heihachi was, in Kazuya's mind, a nightmare. The red-eyed man was given some flashbacks about his childhood, including the many times he and his father had sparred together.
"Get up, Kazuya! Stop whimpering like a whelp and get back on your feet!"
"You should stop being with your foolish grandfather. I am your parent, not him!"
"Come back when you have toughened your skills as a warrior!"
The harsh words from his upbringing haunted Kazuya. Yet he still remembered how close he was with his grandfather and mother. Recently, Kazuya had learned more about Kazumi, let alone who she really was. But was everything Heihachi had told Lei Wulong during that interview real? A part of him still refused to believe such. Avenging his mother had been one of the main motivations for his survival…..until now.
Kazuya cleared those doubts from his mind, realizing that he was still locked in a deadly deathmatch with his father.
"I don't give a damn about what you think of me….." Kazuya muttered angrily, forcing Heihachi to focus his attention on him. "The only thing that matters to me now…IS TO DESTROY YOU!" he roared as he fired his beam from his Evil Eye.
Seeing as how fast it approached him, Heihcahi took the ultimate risk by blocking the beam with his muscular arms. They functioned as a shield. But despite his strength and resilience, Heihachi could still feel the pain coming from the beam. After a few seconds, Heihachi was blown away by the effect, given how holding back the beam had only resulted in it exploding.
Still, the old man was quick on his feet, landing on one knee before getting back on his feet. But his opponent was already headed straight towards him. Heihachi knew that a clash between them was imminent.
"You think I'm not strong!?" the old man demanded, starting to run towards his son. "I HAVE NEVER BEEN BESTED IN COMBAT! MY STRENGHT IS SUPERIOR!" he screamed, still boasting his claims about being invincible.
Kazuya easily dismissed this assertion, knowing how Heihachi was lying.
"SHUT UP AND FIGHT, YOU BASTARD!" Kazuya yelled back.
Unexpectedly, both father and son clashed fists, creating an electric shockwave throughout the crater. Neither one of them were willing to yield. But as Heihachi and Kazuya clashed with one another once again, they each started reminiscing about someone who had played an important role in their lives. It almost consumed their thoughts.
"You will become a great threat to this world. Therefore, I must bring death upon you" Heihachi thought about the woman he once loved.
Heihachi could only suspect that the reason he had those thoughts was because of him currently fighting their own son. Or perhaps there was something else with regards to this reminiscing.
"I sense an evil spirit within you. No matter how many times you try, I will free you from the darkness" Kazuya thought about the woman he once loved.
Kazuya immediately tried to forget about that woman's voice, yet he couldn't. This soothing voice had managed to bewitch someone like him. The only reason that could be explained was the fact that he truly loved that woman, no matter much his hatred wanted to let go of those feelings.
Being reminded of these women was not enough for either Heihachi or Kazuya to cease their fighting. They continued battling each other on this hellish environment, with no victor in clear sight. Still, neither Mishima had decided to unleash their fullest powers just yet, which explained the reason why this fight was taking longer than either of them had anticipated.
At the foot of Puʻu ʻŌʻō, Kahauale`a Natural Reserve, Hawaiian Islands
With both Mishimas battling in the volcano's crater, Kazuya's closes associates were having their hands full with what they perceived as enemies of the G Corp. Realizing how Kazuya didn't want none of them to interfere in his match against Heihachi, his friends respected his wishes by battling those sneaky fighters.
Bruce and Eddy were going at it once again. Their bitter rivalry stretched back to the previous King of Iron Fist Tournament, when they had each led their own squadrons against each other. But now, they each saw a opportunity to put their feud to rest once and for all, even if Eddy still had other desires to fulfill.
"I hope your friends have come up with a eulogy for your funeral. It would be a shame if you went down as the man why couldn't save his master!" Bruce mocked his opponent while trying to knee him.
But Eddy quickly avoided that attack and he proceeded to move his feet towards Bruce's face, only for him to block the attack. The Capoeira fighter did not appreciate the way Bruce spoke about his late master.
"Leave him out of this! Our fight is just between you and me! And I intend on winning this in his honor!" Eddy snapped back.
"Then let's wrap this battle up quickly! The sooner you die, the sooner you'll meet him on the other side!" Bruce was not giving up on insulting Eddy.
Still, the Brazilian man with the dreadlocks did not succumb to his rage. Instead, he focused on landing a few attacks upon his opponent.
"Then for your own sake, I hope Kazuya will mourn your demise!" Eddy suddenly starting hitting Bruce back with verbal assaults.
That only brought rage to the Muai Thai fighter. However, he surprisingly snickered at Eddy's attempt to get under his skin.
"Assuming you survive before I crack that fragile skull of yours!" Bruce taunted back, continuing his fight against Eddy. The black-skinned man managed to then kick Eddy in the face, yet the Capoeira fighter responded by doing the same with Bruce's.
The two men glared at each other, each bleeding from their respective attacks. But Bruce was seemingly confident in face of such opponent. He even wiped off the blood running from his nose and lips.
"A cheap shot, I'll give you that much. But I ain't planning on loosing to some weak-ass Capoeira fighter!" Bruce taunted his foe.
Being called weak really made Eddy fired up. "I'm not weak….." Eddy clenched his fists while wiping off the blood on his face. "I was trained by the greatest Capoeira master to have ever lived: Christiano Monteiro! AND I WON'T LET YOU DISRGACE THE ART OF CAPOEIRA!" the man with the dreadlocks yelled, charging towards Bruce one again.
Bruce grinned, starting to see Eddy as a worthy opponent this time.
Not far from them, the Williams-sisters were having their fair share of a deadly catfight. Nina and Anna did that while wearing a wedding dress and a mourning dress, respectively. Such fights would seem unrealistic, but in the case of these two assassins, logic never mattered. Their relationship was comparable to the one between Tom & Jerry, let alone Road Runner and Wil E. Coyote. It was a deadly and toxic cycle that kept repeating over and over again.
Nina, still as agile as ever despite wearing this outfit, managed to dodge the knives being thrown at her by Anna. The blondie then fired her handgun, yet Anna caught wind of it and dodged the bullet.
Nina smirked as he watched what her sister had just accomplished. "Gotta say, you've grown more agile since the last time we fought. I'm glad that you didn't slack off during your supposed retirement" she remarked sarcastically.
To hear her insults only infuriated Anna. "Don't get sentimental with me, bitch! None of your compliments could possibly change my opinion of you. Especially since you're wearing my wedding dress!" the brunette snapped, charging towards her sister.
This resulted in a hand-to-hand combat being engaged between the two ladies. And neither of them had any intention of backing down.
"But seriously. How in the world did you fall in love with a man who was your subordinate? He was nothing but a dishonorable conman back in Italy" Nina bluntly pointed out, yet she found it amusing. "My guess would be the usual: you're a gold digger only interested in getting hold of a man's riches" she then suggested.
"Shut up! You have no damn clue about the feelings we developed for one another!" Anna hit back.
Anna's anger enabled Nina to gain the upper hand of this combat and she proceeded to kick her sister away. But as hard as that kick may have been, Anna was hardly down. She landed on her two hands and jumped back onto her feet.
"Really? To tell you the truth, I was wondering whether you and Bruce had started to become a thing. Or it could've been Kazuya, seeing as you are his favorite chew-toy" Nina continued insulting Anna.
"Oh my, that's rich, coming from Jin Kazama's sidepiece!" Anna retorted back, mocking Nina's close association with Jin.
Nina's blue eyes narrowed at her. "That's a load of crap and you know it. And just so you know, I never needed any supervision from him, unlike some others I could name" she revealed, taking a jab at her sister.
"Shut it, Nina!" Anna spat, once again charging towards Nina. The two ladies were at it again, trying to surpass the other in combat. "This battle will be your last! And there's no way that I'll lose to a deadbeat mom like you!" the brunette added.
Hearing this made Nina snap, causing her to lose focus. Anna took advantage of this confusion by delivering a powerful bitchslap upon her sister's face. Still, this slap did not so much as injure her.
Anna giggled sadistically in watching Nina rub her face. But the blondie was somehow taken aback by the words Anna had just said before the bitchslap.
"You said I was a deadbeat mom. What the hell are you talking about? I have no children!" Nina sternly told Anna.
She sister smirked at her in return. "Please, Nina. There's no sense in masking this with your cold demeanor. I know everything, including what happened while we both underwent cryosleep" Anna revealed, resting her hands on her hips. "From what I understand, your body and genes were used in an experiment by the Mishima Zaibatsu. And the results? A healthy baby was conceived in intro-fertilization" she then pointed out.
Hearing this made Nina angrily aim her weapon at her sister. "WHO TOLD YOU THAT!?" she yelled, starting to surprisingly get angry which was not in her usual nature. Anna didn't say anything, much to her irritation. "Don't you dare play dumb with me now, Anna! I know you received that information from someone! WHO WAS IT!?" she demanded, roaring at the brunette.
"My, aren't you getting all hissed up? Then again, your reaction only confirms everything. That said, I managed to gain access to the various files of certain persons of interests. Yes, I remember reading files of someone who had once worked for the Zaibatsu, a German scientist by the name of Dr. Emma Kliesen" Anna suddenly revealed what details she possessed.
Nina's eyes widened at the mentioning of that name. She recalled a conversation she had been having with a young man, about how this woman had been acting like a caretaker to her when he was a test subject for the Zaibatsu.
"Emma Kliesen…" Nina uttered the name, as if she had heard it from someone.
"That woman happened to have worked on a young boy, whose DNA belonged to not just you…...but also that of another Mishima. Yes, for his earlier years, he was being tested with drugs to the speculation that he could have inherited the supposed Devil Gene. However, Dr. Kliesen managed to get him out of the laboratory, yet she still continued searching for which Mishima this DNA belonged to" Anna spoke up, feeling so high and mighty to have Nina in such mental confusion. "To make the story short, I know which genes were used to make that boy, or Steve Fox as he's known" she pressed on.
"He is not my son! And all this nonsense about a Mishima being involved, you know nothing about it!" Nina hit back at her.
Anna laughed at seeing her sister's attempt on denying it. "You're a terrible liar, Nina. Do you expect me to believe that you have never seen the things that young man is capable of? I know all about his origins" her smirk crept even further. "He was conceived, when the Zaibatsu used the genes of Kazuya to inject them into your body! That's right! You unwillingly gave birth to Kazuya's son, thus giving your ex-boss a half-brother! So touchy! How does that make you feel, knowing that I'll get to be an aunt to your…." Anna's words were interrupted by a powerful kick into her stomach.
It was Nina's doing. While her sister had been too blind by her own cavalier attitude, she used that opportunity to inflict damage upon Anna. The brunette scowled as she looked up to see Nina.
"You bitch! What the hell was that for!? Didn't you hear what I just said!?" Anna snarled.
Surprisingly, Nina glared at her nonchalantly. It was as if everything Anna had told her didn't mean anything to her.
"Shut up, Anna. I got everything. Your mouth was moving like a motor, so I didn't need to hear more from it" Nina bluntly told her, yet she was not finished speaking. "That being said, I couldn't give a rat's ass about whether I have a son or not! Even if that son of mine was with Kazuya or any other Mishima, I really don't care. Because those things remain dead to me!" she continued with denying how any of these revelations affected her.
Anna got back on her feet, still feeling sour for the attack Nina had landed upon her. However, she brushed it off and faced her sister with a cocky smile.
"Well, then. We'll see how long this arrogance of yours lasts!" Anna said.
And the two sisters were at it again in a deadly confrontation. But deep inside, Nina was surprised to find out how Anna had found out about Steve. But she didn't give much thought, seeing as how irrelevant it was of her to even think about him. On the other hand, she was slightly curious about learning the fact that Kazuya was technically his biological father.
The Williams-sisters were not the only ones to have had a confrontation and a talk at the same time. Katarina and the gargantuan creature called Gigas were now standing a few ways away from all this commotion. Each of them was acting rather calm despite being opponents. This was especially rare for Gigas, considering his bestial manner.
Removing her sunglasses, Katarina faced the creature before her, starting to feel butterflies in her tummy.
"The last time we fought each other, at the foot of the Millennium Tower, there was something strange you did back then. You said my name" Katarina uttered, still facing Gigas as if he was a normal person instead of a monster.
So far, Gigas had not said a word. However, his behavior indicated that something was not right. It was as if his humanity had gradually started to return. Even his face couldn't be seen due to the mask he wore, Katarina could tell that he was acting in a different state of mind. Needless to say, Gigas wasn't as aggressive as he was before.
Deciding to take a step further, Katarina slowly approached Gigas. She had been having so many questions in her head lately. And now, she wanted the truth. Who was Gigas, really?
"Not only didn't you say my name. You also ran away from me. And even as we stand here, face to face, you're acting so calm" Katarina spoke up, her voice getting more personal by the minute. Once she was close to him, a couple of tears fell down from her eyes. "Tell me. Please tell me! Is it you? Is that really you…papai!?" she finally uttered out the question.
By only facing down at her, Gigas got more calmer by the minute. After staring at her for a few seconds, the biotechnical creature finally possessed enough strength to speak.
"Katarina…." Gigas spoke up lowly. "Katarina…...minha princesa" he surprisingly spoke in Portuguese.
This caused a Pandora's box to open inside Katarina's body. In all her life, only one man had the audacity to refer to her as "my princess". And that man was the same one responsible for rescuing her out of poverty and misery in the favelas. There was no mistaking it.
"Papai…" she uttered out to the man, who was indeed her adoptive father.
Sobbing, Katarina couldn't hold back her tears. But she already had been given the answer she was looking for. In fact, Katarina hugged Gigas' muscular frame. And he did nothing to remove her or anything like that. The young woman cried, yet it was both out of joy and of sadness.
"Papai! What happened? What happened to you!?" Katarina's tears never washed away, her arms refusing to let go of the creature, who was in fact her adoptive father. "Those babacas…...they've turned you into a monster!" she cursed the G Corp while looking up at the man's face.
Even though the mask blocked her view, Katarina could tell that her father was now smiling weakly as he looked down upon her. But she was even more stunned when Gigas used his big hands to hold the young woman in an affectionate manner. This made the Brazilian woman recall back to her childhood, in how her father would always do that in order to show how much she cared for her.
"Do not fret, Katarina…..I….am…..here" Gigas spoke up, his manner of speaking slowly returning to him.
Katarina couldn't stop crying, realizing in how she had just reunited with the man who had raised as his own daughter.
"Papai….." she spoke through her tears. "Please…...don't ever leave me again…I don't want to be alone!" she sniffed, looking up at the muscular thing that had once been a normal human being.
"Katarina…I am sorry…I am…so sorry…." Gigas spoke, only for something to interrupt his embracing of his daughter. He howled in pain as he held onto his head.
Katarina got away, yet she was terrified of seeing her father in such mental pain. The young woman could only fathom what this meant.
"Oh no…his mind is still partially under the control of the G-Corp and their machinations. Maldito bastardos! They'll pay for whatever pain they've caused on him!" Katarina swore to get back at the conglomerate. But on the other hand, she could see how her father is actually trying to fight the influence. "But still…he's trying to withstand it! Yes! I refuse to believe that the man who raised me is gone! He's still in there, not matter what his appearance is!" she held onto some hope.
Watching Gigas struggle only brought more distress to Katarina's eyes. She tried her best to wipe her tears, but it was hard looking at her father being reduced to such mental torture.
"Fight it back, papai! Fight their control!" Katarina shouted out words of encouragement towards her father.
But it was no use, seeing as how Gigas was starting to show signs of bestial aggression. However, it only convinced Katarina to continue making calling into him.
"Remember who you are! You're not some biomechanical weapon named Gigas! You're Gilberto Alves!" Katarina tired, this time calling out his true name.
In response to this, Gigas jumped up in the air, attempting to smash Katarina with his muscular arms. Fortunately, Katarina was quick on her feet, so she managed to avoid getting smashed. To see her father succumbing to such rage was heartbreaking.
"Droga! I gotta find a way to get him back to reality!" Katarina cursed, seeing as how Gigas was now losing himself once again.
Observing the problem from a distance was Christie. The young girl felt like Katarina could really use some help, seeing as how she had difficulties in standing against Gigas. But on the other hand, the Capoeira fighter had been stunned by what Katarina had said.
"I don't believe it…that hulking thing right there…is Katarina's dad!?" Christie was speechless on the inside.
"Hello! Are you listening to me!?" the young Brazilian's thoughts were interrupted by a bratty voice coming from Lucky Chloe. She was having her gloved arms crossed out of impatience. "I said, this dance-off is not over! So come at me, you stuck-up bimbo!" Chloe hissed, feeling very determined to fight her.
Christie sighed deeply at what she heard. "Are you still onto that? Just give it up, already. Your dancing moves are putting me to sleep!" she rebuked her.
Chloe fumed at her in return. "What did say!?" she started demonstrating her breakdancing, hoping to prove Christie wrong. "You call THIS boring!?" the blondie then wanted her opinion.
"Meu Deus! Are you always this loud?" she responded, yet Christie was not finished speaking. "Listen, Lucky Chloe. I've had enough of your games. What I would rather much do, is to help my friend in rescuing her dad. So stop wasting my time and go home! There are so much better things for you to do than being Kazuya's poster girl!" with these angry words said, Christie ran over to Katarina's side.
The young otaku could only stand and watch how she had been deemed an unworthy opponent by this Capoeria fighter.
"That bitch! Who does she think she is!?" Chloe snapped, feeling offended at seeing her opponent abandoning her like this. "But wait. Did she just say something about Gigas being that lady's dad? I…I….." the teenage girl was starting to recall what she had heard Christie say.
Chloe knew that Gigas had been a human before his experimentation. But the young cosplayer always assumed he had been a common criminal who was on death row before the G Corp had rescued him from such fate. But perhaps this wasn't the accurate story Chloe had been told.
"Weird. I gotta know more about this" she said, deciding to gain more answers.
Both Master Raven and Raven were dealing with the combined threat of JACK-7 and Alex. Raven was testing his skills against the powerful robot, while his superior used her ninjutsu to avoid and attack the dinosaur. But in the meantime, they had both overheard the things Katarina had called out to Gigas. Each agent took their time to assess this.
"This Katarina Alves called that man Gilberto Alves. Unless I'm mistaking, that's the name of a Brazilian master in Savate. He along with many other fighters across the globe had been reported missing ever since the previous King of Iron Fist Tournament" Raven spoke with Master Raven through his communicator.
Master Raven briefly looked over her shoulder to observe Gigas. "Then there's no mistaking it. Gigas is indeed Gilberto Alves. Too think someone like him has been exposed to such twisted experimentation" she grimly noted, only to hear the prehistoric roar coming from Alex. He was keen on biting her, only for the ninja to use her sword to block his attack. She then proceeded to kick him. "Whatever happens here, we must put an end to Kazuya's madness. We can't afford to lose either him nor Heihachi" Master Raven then told him.
"Roger that" Raven spoke in agreement, only for the radar on his sunglasses to tell him of an enemy attack above him. It was JACK-7, the giant robot diving towards the agent with a powerful fist reserved for Raven. Fortunately, he managed to evade it by, yet the robot was still seen crashing into the ground. "Tch, you're definitely more of a headache than your less-developed brothers" he remarked, taking note of how much more advanced JACK-7 was.
Despite the crash-landing, JACK-7 was back on his feet. His red eyes were completely locked on Raven.
"Target acquired. Commencing elimination" he stated before running towards his opponent.
"It's odd, really. This JACK-model looks more intelligent than what it looks like. That would explain why it was close to Kazuya's side" Raven remarked, only to put out his dual daggers. "Still, that won't stop me from cutting it in half. Not even toys like the JACKs are invulnerable to my daggers" he then readied his weapons, daring his mechanical foe to come at him.
Master Raven did great in avoiding Alex's rampaging. But in the meantime, she also took her time to observe the kind of movements the prehistoric creature made.
"How the G-Corp managed to create something like that is beyond astounding. However, the way this dinosaur moves. It almost reminds me about a kangaroo. Now where have I heard of it before?" Master Raven was trying to figure it out, while avoiding the jaws of Alex.
The fight seemed to be going smoothly, yet it had only just started. Because sooner or later, more people would descend upon the foot of Puʻu ʻŌʻō for a dangerous showdown.
In the Upper Waiakea Forest Reserve, Hawaiian Islands
Having been on the run from soldiers of the Tekken Force, Xiaoyu, Asuka, Alisa, Leo, Lili, Josie and Julia were still trying to find their way through this unfamiliar landscape. Like most forest reserves, Upper Waiakea was flourishing, yet not in the same way the one in Hilo was. Still, they couldn't afford to wait.
Because of this persuasion, the girls had gone astray from Hilo. Even as they ran, helicopters and jet fighters flew above them. This forced the girls to hide, not wanting to be spotted by the enemy.
Having just hidden among some bushes while several jet fighters appeared, the group took their time to catch their breaths.
"I guess everything's safe…..for now, at least" Josie remarked, her eyes up in the skies in search of any enemy flyers.
"It looks that way" Alisa said in agreement, only to look in another direction from the other girls. "Unfortunately, we seem to have moved further away from Hilo" the android then noted with concern.
"We've gone astray. And we still don't know wherever the heck this Puʻu ʻŌʻō Crater is!" Xiaoyu complained.
"Then what do you suggest we do? Spread out wings and fly?" Asuka questioned her, only to forget that Alisa was standing with them. "No offense to you, of course" the Japanese brunette insisted to Alisa.
"None taken" she responded politely.
Julia was tapping on her tablet computer. But she didn't seem to get any signal, much to her frustration.
"Damnit. There's no wi-fi around here" the four-eyed girl complained.
Leo couldn't help but to giggle as she watched Julia tumbling with her electronic device.
"Isn't that obvious? We're in the middle of nowhere" the German girl pointed out. She then started to look around their surroundings. "But we seem to have lost that squadron, though. I don't see anyone following us" Leo then noted.
Lili also took the liberty to observe this environment. And her eyes caught sight of something so astounding.
"Look! That's a big volcano right there!" she exclaimed, having managed to see it's imposing size through the openings of the forest. "Could that be Puʻu ʻŌʻō?" Lili then wondered.
Julia shook her head in return. "That's Mauna Loa. It's much bigger in size when compared to Puʻu ʻŌʻō" she told her, yet Julia seemed to have gotten a clue. "Wait a minute. Unless I'm mistaking, Puʻu ʻŌʻō lies to the east of Mauna Loa. This means that if we continue heading southwards, we'll eventually find it" Julia summarized, recalling to what she knew.
"So that means we'll have to keep walking through this forest reserve?" Xiaoyu whined, yet the Chinese girl realized that they had no other options. "Alright. I guess that's the only choice we have" she conceded.
"Cheer up, Ling Xiaoyu! This will be a great opportunity for us to explore the Hawaiian wildlife at its finest!" Lili exclaimed.
None of the girls took the rich girl's words seriously, especially Asuka. She rubbed her face as she shook her head.
"Enough with the safari talk, already!" Asuka complained.
"She's right. Our lives are at stake here, given that we're trapped in a warzone between two armies. There's no sense in trying to make it sound so unrealistic" Josie joined in on reprimanding Lili.
Lili crossed her arms, huffing at what her friends' attitude. "Goodness, all of you are so gloomy and miserable. A little optimism wouldn't kill, would it?" she questioned them.
Leo shook her head in response to that. "You're not listening at all, are you?" she was dumbfounded at Lili's obliviousness to their situation.
All of a sudden, Alisa started sensing something. Her radars enabled her to discover a danger lurking nearby. Her friends took notice of how cautious she became.
"What's wrong, Alisa?" Xiaoyu asked.
"I detect the presence of enemy soldiers. But I can't even see them" the pinkette responded.
But as they were amidst this confusion, several soldiers of the Tekken Force appeared out of hiding. They immediately began aiming their weapons at the girls, as well was holding them by their knives.
"What the hell!? Where did they come from!?" Leo was taken aback by being held captive.
"Damn! They were waiting for us!" Asuka cursed, noticing how some of these soldiers were wearing some bushes and leaves for disguise.
A soldier, who appeared to be the leader of the squadron, stood before the captured group. "None of you move. Try it and you will suffer" he starkly warned them.
Alisa felt herself helpless. She really believed she could handle these soldiers, but she could not risk in getting her friends shot. Therefore, she lowered herself, for now.
"I want answers! Who are you!? And who are you working for!?" the commander interrogated them, starting with Julia. "You don't look like civilians to me. Something's not right here!" he continued while pacing around the group.
"We don't work for anybody!" Josie insisted.
But the commander was not convinced, as he directed his gaze upon her. "Bullshit! There's no way that a group of girls like you would waltz around Upper Waiakea for no reason. You're obviously involved in this battle!" he berated her, only to notice something. "Wait a second. I remember you. You're that Filipina who deserted the Tekken Force and became affiliated with that rebel Lars Alexandersson!" the commander exclaimed while pointing his finger at her.
Josie felt caught red-handed. Yet somehow, a fiery passion burned within her. It was as if she felt no shame of it. That only encouraged her to finally speak up against the commander.
"Yeah, that's right! I'm Josie Rizal! And I'm sure as heck proud to consider myself a Tekken Force turncoat!" Josie spat, sticking her tongue out to blow raspberries. "After what you guys did to me back in the tournament, you thought I was gonna continue staying with you!? No way! I'm way too dignified to be a part of backstabbers such as you!" the young girl continued her verbal assault.
In response, the commander angrily slapped Josie's face, much to the shock of her friends.
"Josie!" Alisa couldn't believe her own eyes.
"Such…cruelty…:" even Lili was stunned to what she saw.
Julia gritted her teeth in anger at seeing this. Similar reactions were shared by Asuka, Xiaoyu and Leo.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!? You can't just…." Julia was stopped when the commander pointed a gun at her. This made her freeze in shock.
"Shut your piehole, hipster! And remember, one stupid move and you're at the cemetery!" the commander coldly warned her.
Realizing her disadvantage, Julia reluctantly backed down. She then looked over to see Josie, who had received a bloodied nose because of the slap. The young Filipina was also resisting the urge to cry, as her eyes was starting to show some tears.
"Now then. I'm gonna ask you girls nice just one last time. Who are you!? Where are you from and….." the commander was interrupted when someone grabbed his neck from behind. "GAH! WHAT THE…" he was lifted up by a masked individual.
The rest of the squadron wondered who it was. They all became stunned when they saw more than just one person appear before them. Even the girls seemed to recognize some of these faces.
"I am sorry. Are we interrupting something?" the voice belonged to Revenant, the wicked leader of the Acolytes of Pluton. He then looked up to see the commander in his grip. "No answer. How needlessly rude of you" he said before snapping the commander's neck.
The girls were shocked to see the appearance of this cultist. They had only heard him through the files Lee and Lars had showed them. On the other hand, Leo recognized this mysterious man as the one who fought Kazuya on the Millennium Tower.
"It's…you…" the German girl stammered.
Revenant chuckled, seeing as how the soldiers before him trembled at sight. "None of you have no need to fear, young ladies. I shall arrange for your rescue" he spoke to Julia and the others before making a signal with his metallic right hand.
No one could understand what was going on. Yet before they knew it, the soldiers of the Tekken Force were assassinated, one by one. Hooded cultists emerged out of the shadows, stabbing their targets to death. This was fortunate for the girls. However, these cultists soon began surrounding them, with Revenant demonstrating some of his powers.
"This is bad! We're surrounded again!" Xiaoyu expressed her frustration.
Alisa was doing some scanning. From what she could tell, Revenant possessed powers that was beyond imagination.
"This man….is he even human?" Alisa wondered, still trying to figure out who Revenant really was. "All this negative energy…its enough to make me shiver" she admitted, realizing how intimidating the cultist's power was.
"Well. Now that we have rescued you, you might as well return the favor" Revenant told them.
Asuka banged her fists. "Like we would ever do you any favors!" she told him.
"Think you can stand against us?" a familiar voice came from behind the cultists.
Asuka and her friends were stunned, as five people showed up to them. It was Rumi Kusakabe, Hu Yue, Taiga Miyagi, Isaak Lichtenfeld and Eliza. The first four was known to be leaders of the so-called Resistance. While Eliza was unfamiliar, to the majority of the girls, at least.
"Not you rejects again!" Julia exclaimed with dispassion.
"So, you're working with him all of a sudden!?" Leo spat.
Taiga glanced at her nonchalantly. "That is not for you to know" the Japanese man replied.
Asuka was surprised to see her rival from Osaka. "Rudy! What are you doing here on Hawaii!?" she snapped.
Rumi was angered at her misspelling. Yet she managed to calm herself. "You know what, it's no use getting angry at you. You're too dumb to understand like always" she rudely responded.
"That still doesn't answer my question!?" Asuka hit back.
Meanwhile, Xiaoyu had her eyes set on Yue. The two childhood friends were once again facing each other on different circumstances. There was an unpleasant mood forming in the space between them.
"Yue…..why…why would you…" Xiaoyu uttered out those words.
"Are you still getting all sentimental upon me? Grow a thicker spine, Xiaoyu!" the Chinese girl rudely responded.
"You're here because you wanna get back at gramps, is that it!?" Xiaoyu then asked her.
Her former childhood friend smirked in return. "And what makes you wanna know? Are you starting to worry about that old fool's health?" Yue teasingly asked her.
This angered Xiaoyu. "Don't you ever say that!" she snapped.
Lili had her eyes set on the attractive vampire. Eliza had noticed the blondie looking at her and wondered why she was doing that. After taking a deep yawn, Eliza looked at the rich girl. Their eyes finally met one another.
"You have something to say?" Eliza asked, her lips curving into a smirk.
For some reason, Lili was speechless. It was as if she somehow recognized Eliza.
"I don't believe it…it's you….." Lili stammered.
Eliza responded by cooking an eyebrow at her. "Hmm? Do I know you?" she questioned her.
This made Lili snap. "Don't play stupid with me! You know very well who I am!" the blondie said as she pointed her finger at Eliza. "And I know who you are. You were once thought to have been imprisoned beneath the De Rochefort mansion by the Archers of Sirius. But as my assumptions told me, you weren't" she then pointed out.
Somehow, Eliza was surprised by the knowledge Lili possessed. "What? How could a mortal like you possibly know about that!?" the vampire demanded.
"Because…." Lili gulped, feeling very reluctant to continue this. But in her mind, she had to. "You're my older sister….." the blondie said.
This raised eyebrows among Lili's friends. They all assumed that the rich girl was back to her unserious thinking once again.
"Huh?" Leo was dumbfounded.
"You're kidding me. That creep is your sister!?" Asuka asked out loud. "I mean, there's like…no facial resemblances between the two of you!" the Japanese brunette then pointed out.
"Silence, human charlatans!" Eliza's hissing voice made them all shut up. She then directed her demonic gaze upon Lili. "And as for you! You, my sister!? Preposterous! I was born 1000 years and 4 months ago! You are about a millennium too young to be…." Eliza was explaining, until she suddenly fell asleep.
This left Lili completely confused, yet offended at the same time. "Hey! What's the big idea?!" the blondie demanded.
This loud question was enough to wake up Eliza. She the resumed to where she had left off. "Now as I was saying. There is no way that you could be my sister. While I did in fact sleep underneath the De Rochefort mansion, it still doesn't prove a dime that I'm your….." Eliza fell into sleep once again.
"Argh, the nerve! How dares she falls asleep in my presence!" Lili snapped, not liking this one bit.
Revenant had taken notice of this kafuffle and he mused to himself. "Ah, I assume you must be Emilie De Rochefort, heir to the De Rochefort family's fortune" he spoke up, surprisingly giving the young girl a formal bow. "I am pleased to make your acquaintance, young lady" he continued.
However, Lili was not appreciative of the cultist's manners. "I can't decide whether I should be creeped out or flattered by your attempts to charm me" she completely roasted him.
"Come now. A family of great prestige such as yours deserves respect. After all, I know all about your family's past. You were important members of the Archers of Sirius" Revenant revealed.
All of her friends all gasped and looked to see Lili. They were completely stunned to learn how someone like her came from a "celestial" lineage. Yet Lili responded by stroking her golden locks.
"It appears that you already know much about my family" Lili remarked, only to point a finger at the sleeping Eliza. "And that reminds me, what have you done with her!? Is your cult responsible for turning my sister into this…..monstrosity!?" she then demanded some answers.
A deep chuckle was heard behind Revenant's gas mask. "Poor, little child. You really have no clue about what befell on Elizabeth De Rochefort, do you? Clearly, your father has not told you the truth about how your dear sister was reduced to such…..by his own hands!" he told her.
Lili felt her heart shatter, yet a part of her refused to believe in the wicked cultist's words. "You're lying! My father would never force Elizabeth into an arranged marriage!" she snapped.
"Oh, but that's only half the truth, madam" Revenant said, suddenly enveloping dark energy on his right hand. "No matter how many times you try, she will never return to the person she once was. Elizabeth De Rochefort is long gone. All that exist is a vampire desiring vengeance against mankind" he said, touching Eliza so that she awoke from her sleep.
"Sister!" Lili shouted. For perhaps once, the young teenage was growing more serious than usual. "Espèce de salaud pourri! You'll pay for whatever darkness you have inflicted upon her!" she snapped.
But Revenant was unmoved. "Why such hostility? After all, I was the one helping Eliza her evading capture by the Archers of Sirius. Surely, you understand that they want her dead, yes?" he pointed out.
Eliza didn't appreciate the cultist's words. "Don't get the wrong idea, cultist! You assisting me does not mean I am in any way indebted to you or the Acolytes of Pluton!" she sternly reminded him.
Yet Revenant seemed dismissive of her words. "Be it as you may see it. But you cannot deny my involvement" he responded. The cultist then proceeded to gaze upon the group of girls. "Now then. I believe I was asking for your assistance" the masked man suddenly recalled what he said earlier.
Leo stood on her guard, as did her friends. "Geh zum Teufel! There's no way we would ever help someone like you!" she snapped.
"She's right. You lot consider yourselves to be a solution to this war" Julia spoke up, a fiery determination building within her. "But deep down, you're as much of a problem as that of the Mishimas!" the brunette added.
Isaak spat on the ground, pretending he was not listening to this type of defiance. "See? I told you that those brats weren't gonna listen to us!" the former Israeli soldier pointed out to Revenant.
The masked man remained silent, yet he began enveloping dark energies with his metallic hands. Before all the girls knew it, they found themselves floating above ground. That was Revenant's doing.
"My body! I can't movie!" Xiaoyu was in shock of what she felt.
"You bastard! What the hell have you done to us!?" Asuka lashed out against the cultist.
Instead of responding to her insults, Revenant clenched his metallic hands. This resulted in the girls getting squeezed by his power. But in the process, they felt themselves getting weaker by the minute.
"None of you could ever hope to defeat me, children! My powers alone are unmatched! Simple humans such as you have no chance against me!" Revenant spoke up, purplish eyes glowing through his gas mask.
One by one, the girls fell onto the ground, each of them weakened. Even Alisa, who was an android, managed to detect some weakness within her.
"Part of my systems are damaged…" she was awed at the kind of power this man possessed. "Just what kind of creature is he!?" Alisa had so many questions that even she couldn't find the answers to.
Revenant approached the weakened girls, eventually kneeling down to the level of Xiaoyu.
"Have no fear. I will not kill you all. Yes, I will savor it for the last. But the true reason I want you all with me alive, is because of what I am about to show you" Revenant told them, even though he was specifically facing Xioayu.
"What do you mean by that!?" Xioayu spat at him.
A chuckle escaped from the cultist's mask. "Oh, you will know soon enough. In fact, I have come to officially end the lives of Heihachi and Kazuya. However, I believe that I must first get rid of the biggest obstacle standing in my way: Wang Jinrei" he revealed.
Xiaoyu froze as she heard him say that name. "Gramps…" she was beginning to see the greater picture of Revenant's plan. That realization only made her rage towards him. "You monster! Don't you ever dare putting your hands on….." Xiaoyu was interrupted by a kick coming from her former friend.
The other girls were terrified of what they were witnessing, given that Yue had just kicked Xiaoyu in her face.
"Xiao!" Alisa expressed her despair in what she saw.
"You stop that right now, you…" Leo's threats fell on deaf ears upon Yue.
"Shut up, crybaby! You don't command me!" Yue hit back, only to look over at Revenant. "Alright. When do we leave for Puʻu ʻŌʻō?" the Chinese girl questioned the cultist.
"Soon enough. But first, we will gather these ladies. They will become spectators for what is about to happen" Revenant told them, staring into the distance where Puʻu ʻŌʻō lied. "Just you wait, Mishimas. I will come for you…..in the end" the cultist declared, still consumed with defeating both Heihachi and Kazuya.
Deep inside the Kahauale`a Natural Reserve, Hawaiian Islands
The third and final group of fighters that had landed on this island were figuring out their way through this intensive forest. It was the group consisting of Wang Jinrei, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Baek Doo San, Michelle Chang, Lei Wulong and Ganryu. To their surprise, they hadn't encountered a single enemy soldier in this forest reserve.
"Ugh! Just how big is this forest reserve!?" Paul impatiently asked as he tried seeing a way out. "It feels like we've been walking in circles around here" the Judo fighter pointed out.
"You could say that, fella" Lei agreed.
Still, Wang was calm, trying his best to listen to what the nature was saying. His younger peers couldn't understand what he was doing, yet he didn't seem to mind at all.
"This way, youngsters. It will take us straight to the battlefield, as well as the foot of the volcano" Wang informed them, leading the way.
Baek had to smirk in hearing this. "Calling us youngsters sounds very presumptuous, don't you think?" the Taekwondo master asked him.
Wang chuckled softly in response to that. "Oh, you have yet to experience the backpain as I do. In my own eyes, each of you are still in your prime" the elderly man complimented them.
Ganryu felt very flattered by that comment. "Well, what can I say? I'm still semi-retired" she spoke with a hint of humor in his voice.
Michelle shook her head at him. "That's not what he meant, Ganryu" she pointed out, yet the Sumo wrestler was already in his own world.
Marshall was pleased to hear this. "Man. And Forrest keeps saying that I'm getting older? I haven't even started greying yet!" he felt confident in himself as a fighter.
But as they had stopped, the group heard the noise of bushes moving. This made them cautious, and they even formed a ring in order to get a better defense against whatever lurked around this forest.
"What could that be? Is it a predator?" Marshall asked, feeling very curious and suspicious.
"No way. There are no such animals here on Hawaii, only birds, reptiles and small mammals" Michelle assured him.
Paul scoffed at her assumption. "I ain't buying it, lady" he said, yet Michelle did not bother responding to him.
"It's not an animal" Lei said while reaching for his handgun. "I've got a feeling that there are assassins of the Tekken Force and the G Corp lurking nearby. It has to be it" the police officer suggested.
"But would assassins sneak upon us like that? I don't think so" Baek said in return.
Wang closed his eyes, trying to feel the presence he was sensing. After several seconds, his formerly troubled mind eased.
"There is no need to fret, my friends. We are not in danger" Wang told his younger peers.
They were all confused, given how they lacked Wang's sensing abilities. But they received the answer when somebody landed right before them. That caught them by surprise.
"Woah! What the hell!" Marshall snapped out in shock.
"Where did he come from!?" Paul asked in outrage.
Wang was relatively calm compared to his younger companions. He smiled as he looked at the familiar swordsman he knew.
"We meet once again, Yoshimitsu" Wang spoke up, bowing his head in a formal manner.
Surprisingly, Yoshimitsu returned the favor by doing the same thing. "The honor is mine, Master Wang Jinrei. I was wondering when you would show up on this island" the ninja replied.
A smile formed beneath Wang's long beard. "There was no way that I could ever walk away from stopping a threat like this" the elderly man responded.
"Wait a minute. How did you get here?" Lei asked.
"Me along with Nina Williams and two UN-agents boarded a cargo plane belonging to the Zaibatsu. We got off it at Hilo Airport. But as we moved into an abandoned neighborhood, we got separated. I still managed to find my way here" Yoshimitsu explained everything.
Hearing this reminded Lei about Master Raven and Raven. "Oh yeah. I haven't spoken to either of them since I ran away from them to attend that G Corp Exhibition" he chuckled nervously, realizing how they would give him an earful once they regrouped.
"A G Corp Exhibition?" Michelle quizzed him.
"Forget I said anything!" Lei suddenly snapped, starting to regret bringing this up.
Wang returned his focus upon Yoshimitsu. "I believe that you bear some news for us" he could literally read his mind.
The swordsman nodded his head in agreement. "Yes. Behind this forest is a battlefield. However, along the journey, I noticed that we're not the only ones who are seeking to take advantage of this conflict" he revealed grimly. "There is that group of fighters calling itself L'ordine" he revealed.
This caused Baek, Ganryu and Michelle to widen their eyes, as they knew what Yoshimitsu was talking about.
"You mean the group led by that Italian exorcist?" Ganryu asked.
"This is not good" Michelle expressed her worries.
Despite hearing them, Wang was far from giving up. "That's nothing to worry about, youngsters. We must reach the foot of that volcano before he does!" the elderly man insisted.
"I assume that when speak of he, you are referring to that cultist naming himself Revenant" Yoshimitsu spoke up, to which Wang responded with a weak nod. "Then we best get moving. Even now, I can sense that a bigger battle is about to take place" the swordsman said, motioning for the group to follow him.
Without delay, they all followed Yoshimitsu out of the forest. After a couple of seconds, they had arrived to see the foot of the volcano. But on the other hand, they were surprised to see that all of the groups who had been spread across the island…had finally come together.
The two military jeeps carrying the members of L'ordine exited their vehicles. And the same was said for the group who had been riding on the Ford off-road truck. For some of those who had already started fighting, the arrival of these groups confused.
"What the hell's this!?" Bruce angrily asked before looking at Eddy. "You've been calling on some reinforcements!?" he asked his opponent.
"You're wrong! I've not been in contact with them!" Eddy hit back.
The Williams-sisters were also forced to stop, seeing as this gathering of fighters had made them lost interest in one another.
"Terrific. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse" Nina remarked sarcastically.
But Anna was feeling very amused, especially when she got a look at the young blonde-haired man wearing boxing gloves.
"Wow, so that's my nephew? My, he sure looks handsome, just like his father. A pity that he had to inherit his mother's hideous hair color" Anna took a jab at Nina.
She felt the need to punch her sister, yet she didn't bother. Instead, Nina decided to go down there and see what was really about to happen.
"I'll play more with you later. You best stand back and watch the show, Anna" the assassin told her.
But Anna, refusing to be bossed around by Nina, decided to chase after her. "Whoever said about you giving me orders!?" she snapped before running.
All the groups met one another, although this looked to be a clash between Wang and Claudio. However, the old man was not keen on fighting the exorcist, as he had words to share with all those around him.
"Listen carefully, exorcist. And to all you youngsters who are here for the wrong reasons. There is an evil darkness approaching us. And that darkness seeks to take advantage of the demons fighting the crater of that volcano" Wang spoke up, specifically facing Claudio. "As admirable as your goals are, I cannot allow you to hunt down Kazuya just yet. So lower your guard and help us against that threat, Claudio Serafino" he told him.
However, Claudio was acting so cavalier towards the elderly man. "Mi dispiace. But we don't have time for any compromises, Wang Jinrei" the Italian man insisted. "That demon must be captured before he unleashes his true and deadly potential. If we don't stop Kazuya Mishima, then we will all…" Claudio was interrupted by an angry voice.
"TO HELL WITH YOUR DEMON HUNTING!" the voice came from Rodeo. "Don't you idiots get it!? Revenant is coming! He seeks to destroy both Heihachi and Kazuya! If we don't unite against him now, then he will…" the American soldier was interrupted by Bryan.
"Blah, blah, blah! You really think we give a rat's ass about it!?" Bryan insulted the soldier.
"There are more important fights to finish! And I intend on not be denied the opportunity!" Amor King growled, pointing a finger towards Marduk.
Marduk frowned deeply. "So that's how it's gonna end, huh?" the Vale Tudo fighter remarked, starting to crack his knuckles. "Alright! But you asked for it!" the Australian man dared his hated foe to come and attack him.
Kunimitsu directed her attention towards Yoshimitsu. "And I intend on bringing back my grandfather's blade! You will return it to its rightful hands, thief!" the kunoichi told him.
Yoshimitsu responded by brandishing his sword. "If you are that determined to fight me to the bitter end, then you leave me no choice" he coldly responded in return.
Wang felt himself getting angered. All of these fighters were more interested in battling each other than uniting. But the revered master couldn't really fault them. Their minds were still polluted with pride in their strengths.
"There must be a way to make it all…." Wang stopped thinking when he and the rest of the large gathering could spot thundering clouds floating above the volcano. "Oh no…what is…" Wang stammered, his weary eyes awed at the weather conditions.
"Something's not right" Baek noted grimly.
But for those who knew Kazuya, they realized what was going on. Both Anna and Bruce could tell how this fight between him and his father would be taken to a new height.
"That energy…you don't suppose that he's…." Anna spoke with Bruce.
"I'm afraid so. Kazuya is literally planning on releasing his full power" Bruce responded. As he looked up to the skies, Bruce could only think about his superior and the fight he was in. "I only hope you know what you're doing, Kazuya. This fight will definitely change you for sure" he then concluded.
Back in the crater of Puʻu ʻŌʻō, Hawaiian Islands
Kazuya grew more impatient. No matter how many punches, kicks and laser blasts he threw, Heihcahi would still get up on his feet. Sure, he knew his father was prideful and stubborn. But to see an old man such as Heihachi continuing to resist his attacks only infuriated Kazuya.
"HAH! IS THAT THE BEST YOU GOT!?" Heihachi taunted his son, once again charging towards him.
In response, Kazuya delivered a powerful blow to his stomach. This sent Heihachi away, yet the Mishima Patriarch still stood his ground. It was as if the attack had not affected him at all.
"I LAUGH AT YOUR PITIFUL PUNCHES!" Heihachi resumed his verbal assault.
Kazuya's irritation was taking hold upon him. "Damnit all…" he sneered, fists clenching tightly. "WHY DON'T YOU JUST DIE, ALREADY!?" he angrily yelled.
In face of his son's rage, Heihachi formed a cunning smirk beneath his moustache. "Fool! You're still not listening! With this iron body of a God, you have no hope of defeating me!" he started getting under Kazuya's skin. "If you really want me to accept you as an equal, stop holding back and unleash your true power of the Devil! Let it out! I dare you, my demonic spawn of a son!" Heihachi was now goading him.
As he heard those words get into his mind, Kazuya was once again reminded about his childhood days. The Japanese man remembered the many fights he had with Heihachi. And in each outcome, Heihachi would always insult and taunt him for his weakness. But it was not just it. His defeat at Heihachi's hands during the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2 started to haunt him. There was no desire of him to relieve that defeat.
Years had passed since that defeat. Now, Kazuya was powerful enough to not let himself be conflicted by anything. Still, his mind was interrupted by a soft-spoken voice of a woman of the past.
"Fight the Devil's influence, Kazuya. Don't let it control you!" that voice made Kazuya want to forget about all this fighting.
But he brushed it aside and started gathering dark energies all over his body. "You've been an eyesore to me for the last time, Heihachi! Therefore, will no longer let myself be held back! It's your turn to lie six feet under me!" Kazuya said, as lighting began striking upon the volcanic environment around them.
Heihachi stood his guard, himself preparing for whatever outcome he would face. But he could tell what his son was doing. And it pleased him, to some extent.
"THIS WILL BE YOUR FAREWELL GIFT, AS I SEND YOU TO HELL!" Kazuya roared, unleashing his dark energies. A pillar of it erupted up into the skies above them.
This burst of power affected the environment, given that powerful winds erupted as a result of Kazuya unleashing it.
Heihachi covered his eyes with his arms, watching as his son started transforming into a creature so demonic. Despite this, the old man didn't seem afraid. In fact, he smirked in face of this danger.
"So, you finally decided to show it? The true power of the Devil Gene" Heihachi thought.
As the powerful winds stopped blowing, Heihachi was treated to a view so atrocious. What was standing before him was no longer his son, but a demonic being filled with hatred.
Kazuya had changed dramatically. This Devil-form was different than the one he usually showed towards his foes. The red scar on his chest now glowed in orange and it also revealed a fourth eye embedded in it. His demonic wings gain three more eyes in each side and the color of them became red with purple outlines. Finally, his tail had a segment before it's tip with an embedded eye. His overall demonic appearance had a total of 11 eyes. Needless to say, this was the true form of Devil Kazuya.
The transformed human glared at the old man with killing intent. His eyes were now red, and he had retained his Evil Eye.
"Finally! Now this is what I've been waiting for! You're finally starting to take this fight seriously!" Heihachi heaped praise upon Kazuya, yet he didn't say anything in return.
Now that Kazuya had unleashed his true power of the Devil, Heihachi only felt it was time for him to release his power as well. This was not the power of the Devil. Rather, it was the power of the Mishimas. His later father Jinpachi had worn it. Now, it belonged to Heihachi.
"In that case, it's only fair if I give it my all as well!" Heihachi declared, gathering energies before releasing it. With a powerful roar, Heihahci's muscles increased while his karate gi got ripped off. Still, there was something very different about the Mishima Patriarch. He had transformed himself into the ultimate warrior. "Now, we take this fight to the next level! As true Mishimas!" the old man said.
But Kazuya remained unfazed. "Pathetic. You think that mere powerup is enough to withstand against the might of the Devil!?" Kazuya taunted his father. This time, his voice sounded much more sinister and deeper than before. It was only an indication about the maliciousness of this demonic form.
As Heihachi stood and watched his twisted son, he was reminded of his past. He could only think of the last time he ever fought a demonic-transformed human. It brought him back a painful and traumatic memory.
"Do you not recognize? This is the curse of the Devil. We Hachijos have been known to practice with every dark art as a means of achieving peace in this world. After all, we are assassins, so what we do, we do it for the world" the voice of his late wife still haunted his mind.
But Heihachi immediately got rid of those thoughts, seeing as how he was perhaps in the toughest battle in his life. That's why he decided to not mince words.
"This is not the time for insults! We are Mishimas! Come at me with all your might!" Heihachi dared his opponent.
Growling, Kazuya flew straight towards his hated foe. "I WILL CRUSH YOU!" the devilish man roared.
"NOT A CHANCE, BASTARD!" Heihachi hit back.
Both father and son clashed fists once again. It created a shockwave that affected the platform they were standing on. Large cracks could be seen. But neither of them seemed to care. Because the true battle between Kazuya and Heihachi had finally begun.
To be continued…
