TEKKEN: BLOOD FEUD
Chapter 43: Between Good and Evil
Before the volcano of Puʻu ʻŌʻō, Hawaiian Islands
As the titantic clash between Heihachi and Kazuya continued in the bowels of Puʻu ʻŌʻō, the many fighters that had showed up for the got a glimpse of what had transpired. Kazuya's transformation had created a pillar of evil energy, something that had caught the attention of every fighter at the foot of the volcano. Curious to see the source of this energy, each group of fighters had climbed up to the top.
Once on the top, they each got a clear view of the situation. While they took notice of Heihachi unleashing his full strength, they were more terrified by the demonic form Kazuya was in right now. The very sight of him brough shivers to some of their spines.
"Woah…what the hell….." Marshall gasped as he looked down upon the battlefield on the volcanic island in the molten lake. "Is that thing…really Kazuya Mishima?" the fighter/chef asked out loud.
"I'm afraid so, buddy" Paul uttered out. Seeing the Devil Gene reminded him about something he had witnessed months ago. "Goddamn. His energy is WAY more powerful than that of his brat's! Is this how powerful Kazuya really is!?" the Judo fighter started getting a little fearful of the Mishima.
"Having fought Jin Kazama in that devilish form of his…...I can attest that you're correct" Hwoarang remarked, speaking in agreement of Paul's assumption of Kazuya's power. "That said, I can't believe I'm seeing this. Kazuya's form makes Jin's look humane in comparison" the Korean man added to his observation.
Michelle was in utter disbelief of what she was seeing. "By the spirits! There's not a single trace of humanity left within him! It's just as I thought. Kazuya has completely given himself into the Devil's influence! At this rate…there's no hope for him. Pure evil is all that's left of him" the Native American woman expressed her fears, seeing Kazuya as the epitome of everything she despised.
Ganryu could only think about the time he had once served Kazuya as one of his henchmen. "This is unbelievable! While I did get a glimpse of his demonic power on the television screen…seeing it up close is worse than I ever imagined…" the Sumo wrestler admitted.
Eddy felt his anger getting back to haunt him. "This…this is one of the reasons why Kazuya must die!" the Brazilian man's memories of his dead parents bumped into his mind.
Christie grew concerned over this and she took his hand. "Eddy!" she felt the need to remind him about what was more important. This got his attention. "Heihachi's already battling him! Let them die for all we care!" she pleaded to him.
Looking at his longtime friend, Eddy's expression softened a little. "I know that, Christie. And trust me, I haven't lost sight of what's most important now" the Capoeira fighter assured her, much to Christie's satisfaction.
While Wang remained calm, he was very troubled on the inside to see both father and son clash against each other. Even as he stood so high and away from him, Wang could fell how Kazuya's humanity had died. But the same could be said for Heihachi's as well, despite him lacking the Devil Gene.
"This is unfortunate. Neither of them is aware of how they are destroying themselves on the inside" Wang expressed his dismay. He specifically watched Heihachi, who had now activated his full powers. "Heihachi. No matter what your endgame is, you have probably started realizing how this fight is similar to the one you had with you dear father. Even now, I fear that you will only end up sharing the same fate as Jinpachi did" the elderly man went on, starting to notice the similarities between Heihachi and his late father.
Steve stood there, watching the demonic man who was on full display for everyone to see. The blonde-haired man gritted his teeth in anger, still refusing to accept Kazuya as his biological father. He held onto his left sleeve, specifically the scar running across his arm.
"Bastard…I don't care if I carry your genes or not! You'll never be my father!" he angrily said on the inside. On the other hand, Steve directed his anger towards Heihachi as well, whom was technically his grandfather. "And you! You're the true reason why I even exists! And much as I would like to come down there and punch the hell outta you, I realize that it's not worth it. Yes, a wanker like you is not my grandfather!" Steve battled his inner hatred and resentment towards the Mishimas.
Wang had taken notice of Steve's rage on the inside. He couldn't help but to smile weakly. Apparently, he saw something very great inside the British man. Steve noticed Wang's glance and looked down at him.
"I see. Lee Chaolan and Lars Alexandersson were speaking the truth. You are indeed of Mishima blood. But unlike your father and half-brother, there is no tint of darkness inside of you. That makes you one of the last Mishimas with pure heart, alongside Lars. Both of you have inherited Jinpachi's compassion and honor" Wang explained, with open admiration of the young Boxer.
Steve was very unsure of what to respond. But he didn't have to. The young man had been moved by the words Wang had told him. Clearly, the elderly man knew more about the Mishimas than Steve ever did.
"Right. Thank you, sir" Steve politely responded.
Lei, feeling very unsure of what to do, decided to ask Wang. "Master Wang. What do we now? At this rate, it's fruitless for any of us to go down there to capture either one of them" he told the revered master.
"Of that I am painfully aware of. We seemed to have arrived too late" Wang agreed, closing his eyes to reminisce about someone. "However, the least we can do is to prevent dark forces from ever taking advantage of this chaotic fight" he then spoke about his plan.
The police officer was confused. "What? Are you suggesting that we defend these two Mishimas?" Lei quizzed.
"That's not what he meant" Rodeo spoke up, catching everyone's attention. "Just to be clear, it's not our intention on letting Kazuya and Heihachi escape justice. They will be brought in chains. However, there is currently an evil cultist who would do anything to get his hands on their powers" the American soldier said.
"So that means we're gonna go after him then? Fine by me! I'm always up for beating up villains" Bob exclaimed proudly.
But as the large group listened to what Wang had in mind, two other groups had appeared near them and had managed to witness the ongoing clash between Kazuya and Heihachi. The first group was the one consisting of Kazuya's closest associates and allies. The second one was the members of L'ordine. Each of them was ganging up in the main group.
Claudio stepped forward, followed by his cohorts. "Move aside, imbecilli! As you can all see, Kazuya Mishima is too dangerous to be left loose. We can't afford him to live to another day" the Italian man told the main group.
"The exorcist speaks the truth" Shaheen joined up, surprisingly backing Claudio's demand. "That man must be put down before he causes more harm to innocents!" the usually calm-mannered Shaheen got more hissy than before.
Michelle had taken the lead to stand against L'ordine, alongside Master Raven, Yoshimitsu, Lei, Law, Rodeo and Marduk.
"We don't have time for any of this! Right now! There is a bigger threat that we should concentrate on!" Michelle called out to the group.
Kunimitsu curled her lips into a smirk. "Don't listen to that, nature-loving dimwit! Her words are nothing but a distraction" the kunoichi informed both Claudio and Shaheen.
But Yoshimitsu would hear none of it. "Your goal is a distraction! What good will it do by wasting time on hunting mere criminals!?" the swordsman demanded, only to look over at Bryan's sadistic smirk. "As far as I am concerned, each of you do not seem to have the interest of this world in front of you" he then added.
"Screw that! We do whatever we wanna do!" Bryan spat, insulting Yoshimitsu in the process. "Besides, I've been waiting to put two nuisances out of their miseries for a very long time!" he was referring to Lei.
The police officer narrowed his eyes in return. "Very cold-blooded of you, Bryan Fury. Can't say I'm surpised" Lei said, only to stand by Yoshimitsu's side. "Hey, you. You deal with the kunoichi. I'll handle Bryan. I got a bone to pick with him" he then offered.
Yoshimitsu considered Lei's offer carefully, yet he seemed to be in agreement of the police officer's words.
"Very well. Then we take on them together" the swordsman agreed.
Kunimitsu stood beside Bryan. "It looks like we can take down both of these fools. Care to join me?" she asked the cyborg.
"Hell yeah! You've no idea how I've looked forward to this!" Bryan was delighted over this proposal.
Armor King had his eyes set on Marduk. But the Vale Tudo fighter had the same thing for the luchador. It was obvious that each of them was determined to settle the score once and for all. Armor King would no longer be denied the chance to avenge his older brother.
"Prepare for your ultimate demise, Craig Marduk! I will show you no mercy!" Armor King roared.
Marduk remained calm, yet his fighting spirit was visible on the outside. "That's fine by me" he replied back.
Master Raven could see something happening with Zafina. The others took notice of what was happening with the Egyptian woman's left hand. A dark energy emerged out of that hand once again.
"What the hell…..what's with her?" Rodeo cursed.
Zafina felt despair take over her mind once again. She held onto her cursed hand, yet it didn't ease off the monster leaving inside her.
"No! Not again!" she bellowed, screaming in pain as she struggled. "Why!? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING NOW!?" Zafina didn't understand any of this.
The voice of Azazel invaded her thoughts once again. It all started with a deep laughter.
"FOOLISH WOMAN! CAN YOU NOT FEEL THE PRESENCE OF THE DEVIL NEARBY!?" the evil entity rebuked Zafina, causing her to get a realization. She now saw the entire picture. Azazel laughed out of mockery of the woman's discovery. "IT IS AS YOU JUST THINK. WHENEVER I FEEL THE PRESENCE OF THE DEVIL…MY POWERS GETS ENTICED WITH EXCITEMENT! IT CALLS TO ME! IT WANTS ME! IT PLEASES ME!" Azazel spoke so fondly of Kazuya's power.
It didn't take long before Claudio, Shaheen and the other members of L'ordine discovered Zafina's struggle with containing her inner demon. Even now, they could see her left arm transform into that of a monster's. Zafina screamed in agony.
"No! That foul demon, Azazel! He is trying to escape!" Shaheen was horrified. But he understood how something like this could happen. "Allaenat ealayk, Kazuya! This demonic energy you're releasing is only helping Azazel break free from Zafina!" the man wearing the shemagh cursed his hated enemy.
Feng, Dragunov and the other members of L'ordine were slightly stunned to see Azazel's power coming out of Zafina's hand.
"This does not make any sense. I was told that demon was defeated by Jin Kazama" Feng noted in his head, observing Zafina struggle with Azazel. "Yet that woman is carrying his power. Something does not feel right" the Chinese Kenpo fighter added.
Dragunov, on the other hand, couldn't believe his own eyes. His superiors back in Russia had always assumed Azazel to be dead, seeing as his carcass was never found in Egypt. The cold-headed soldier seemed to know the reason why. And it was all because of Zafina and her mysterious tribe of spiritual warriors.
Claudio activated his powers, hoping to restrain Zafina. But it was futile. Before the Italian exorcist could even start, the young woman angrily jumped into the air. Her transformed arm was aimed at whoever stood in the group before her.
Michelle got cautious. "EVERYONE! TAKE COVER!" she yelled as she dived sideways.
Zafina's attack caused a large shockwave onto the desolate ground. Her power was strong, yet the Egyptian woman struggled to control it.
"Damnit! I CAN'T CONTROL MY BODY ANYMORE!" she yelled, still feeling the pain within her arm.
Azazel laughed sadistically in her mind. "THAT IS BECAUSE I CONTROL YOU NOW, WENCH! AS SUCH, YOU WILL DO ANYTHING THAT I COMMAND! AND THERE IS NO HOPE IN RESISTING ME!" the evil demon laughed.
Michelle was standing near Zafina's location. She was stunned to see the kind of monstrous energy that erupted out of Zafina.
"Such evil power! And the name Azazel….isn't that the demon who Jin destroyed during the previous tournament? That's what Julia told me" the Native American woman wondered.
It didn't take long before Zafina's possessed mind got a glimpse of Michelle standing there. In her desperation, the Egyptian woman cried out to her.
"You! Run away!" Zafina tried her best, yet it was futile. She felt the demon take control of her body once again.
Michelle stood on her guard, watching in horror as the young woman succumbed to the monster living inside of her.
"This woman…..she's performed some kind of ritual that sealed Azazel's power within her left arm. But for some reason, she's losing her control" the brunette noted. "Tch, this battle's just got a more worse than what I thought it would" Michelle added, taking caution as Zafina charged towards her with the demonic arm.
Zafina's unleashing of her powers had separated the members of L'ordine from one another. Marshall and Feng were on the verge of battling one another. In fact, Marshall had started to realize who Feng actually was.
"I get it now! That's the Chinese Kenpo master Paul told me about. But I gave up on the dojo, so there's no need for me to recruit him now" Marshall thought, seeing as how Feng's eyes kept fixated upon him.
"Hmph. You think you have what it takes to challenge me?" Feng bluntly asked Marshall, standing in his fighting position. "Regardless, your challenge does not impress" he then told his opponent.
This really made Marshall feel angry. "Now you listen here, pal! I've been in the dojo business way before you!" the fighter/chef responded, showing some of his fighting skills. "I've got the spirit of a dragon living inside of me! Wanna see it with your own eyes!?" he then boasted.
Hearing this almost made Feng laugh. Yet the feeling of disgust surpassed that of ridicule.
"You, possessing the spirit of a dragon? Do not insult me" Feng responded, closing his eyes while showcasing some of his moves. Once he opened his eyes, they started resembling more like those of a dragon. "In my eyes, you have not yet seen one" he added with a sharp rebuke of Marshall.
Marshall was growing very agitated by Feng's arrogance. It only made him completely disregard his original plan of requiring Feng to be a teacher at his dojo.
"I guess the others were right about you. You're unworthy of being in a dojo, let alone own one! Sadly, you're obviously too stubborn to realize that, so I'll beat some sense into you!" Marshall exclaimed, showing some of his kicks before facing his opponent. "Now come and get some! I dare you" he taunted the Kenpo fighter.
Feng, growing weary of this man's posturing, charged straight ahead. "You insolent fool!" he retorted, already preparing his attack on Marshall.
But he was not afraid, given that Marshall was excited to see Feng's fighting abilities in action. "Now then, let's see if Paul speaks the truth about this guy being powerful and all" he thought.
Meanwhile, Dragunov was now getting into a confrontation with Master Raven. As he looked at the agent, there was something strikingly familiar with her.
A smirk crept on Master Raven's mouth. "So. You're that Spetsnaz member that's been giving Raven a hard time? I must say, you look quite fragile in contrast to what the files describes you, Sergei Dragunov" she told him.
Dragunov's empty eyes widened as she mentioned the name of that agent. For some reason, he seemed to recognize Master Raven somehow. He did in fact have a few run-ins with Raven before.
"You…." Dragunov uttered lowly while pointing his finger at her.
"I take it you know all about me, let alone who I'm working for. But none of that really matters now" Master Raven responded before pulling out her sword, aiming it's tip towards the Russian soldier. "All you gotta know is that I'm taking you out, White Angel of Death" the agent added, her eyes fixated upon Dragunov.
Dragunov felt irritated. He never expected to be running into the agents of the UN's intelligence bureau. For years, they had constantly opposed Spetsnaz's plans on strengthening Russia's interests in the world. Even during the war, they had continued. But Dragunov calmed himself. He realized that not only did he have a chance to get rid of those meddling agents. He also had the chance of acquiring Kazuya. And then, he would see what to do with Zafina, given that the Russian authorities had taken an interest in Azazel.
Unable to let the woman stand in his way, Dragunov stood in his fighting stance. Having fought Raven in the past, the Russian soldier was well-aware that Master Raven's ninjutsu skills would be superior. That's why he couldn't afford to underestimate her. But then again, he was certain Master Raven was having the same mindset about his abilities. Dragunov's talents in Sambo had proven to be impossible to withstand in the past. But this time, he was in for facing a tougher opponent.
"Any last words before I finish you off?" Master Raven asked, determined to actually eliminate Dragunov.
However, he was not impressed with her attempts on getting under his skin. But that didn't mean he would shy away from returning the favor. Smirking, Dragunov did the unthinkable.
"Would you rather be crippled for life or buried six feet under" he ruthlessly asked her.
Instead of responding with her mouth, Master Raven charged towards her opponent using her ninja skills. But Dragunov was not slow, seeing as he was able to read her movements. In time, the two clashed, with Dragunov blocking her kick from the air.
"Despite my superiority, I can't afford to underestimate Dragunov. The scars on Raven's face alone proves it" Master Raven thought, trying at the same time to ponder what his motives really were. "That said, I know that Dragunov has his own motives for joining this L'ordine. Therefore, it's only fair that I deny him any opportunities to further them" the agent added, watching her foe run straight towards her location.
Armor King and Marduk were having their most serious brawl yet. The masked luchador fought with ferocity like never before. Marduk, despite knowing how much King didn't want this, realized how this cycle of hatred had been his doing. He didn't wish King to shoulder more of this burden. That's why the Vale Tudo fighter was willing to fight Armor King, and end their stalemate once and for all.
Each muscular man traded blows and kicks between one another. Still, neither of them refused to yield. But Marduk still tried to talk some sense into his opponent.
"Listen! I'll admit, I was wrong to kill your brother. And if I could trade my life for his, I would've done it!" Marduk called out, using his might to shove Armor King away from him. "And because of those wrongs, I've changed! There are things that are more important than fame and trophies! Think about the children who are suffering because of this war!" he then pressed on.
Sadly, none of his words seemed to sway Armor King. "Spare me your sentimental idiocy, cabrón! As I told you before, my only desire is to see my brother's suffering end! And it only ends when you're dead!" he growled, proceeded to jump in the air in hopes of pinning his taller foe down.
Marduk backed away, yet he was on his guard, as Armor King charged straight towards him. They clashed elbows, yet Armor King was quicker. The Australian man was sent a few feet away.
"How can you even say such!? Is vengeance more important to you than doing what is right!?" Marduk snapped back at his opponent while standing still. "Yes, I'm gonna say it! I'm not a perfect man. I've done plenty of screw-ups in the past that I'm not proud of. But all that changed when King bested me in combat. It was the moment I learned an important lesson. Without honor and humility, you are no man" he then recalled to how he and King had ended up becoming friends, despite their tense rivalry in the beginning.
Armor King's angry growl could be heard beneath his jaguar mask. It only indicated how displeased he was to hear these things. "I don't care about what King taught you! That cobarde is blinded by his own foolish ideals!" he insulted King, calling him a coward.
Marduk took issues with this. "Hey! Don't talk about King like that! How could you possibly badmouth someone who trained under your brother!?" the Vale Tudo fighter questioned him. But it was useless, as Armor King ran towards him.
"Shut up and die, you oaf!" the masked luchador hit back.
Rodeo was fighting Shaheen. So far, the two soldiers were fighting on equal terms. But Shaheen was sometimes faster than the American soldier with regards to fighting skills. But Rodeo was stubborn. Having been on the battlefields and in football matches, he was not known to be a quitter.
"Why are you fighting me!?" Shaheen demanded some answers out of Rodeo as they traded blows. "I was under the impression that we shared common enemies, Bo Montana!" he added.
"That's right!" Rodeo added, ducking to avoid some punches from his opponent. "But were you wise, you would have realized how Revenant is the biggest threat to us all, not those damn Mishimas!" he then rebuked Shaheen.
The Saudi Arabian man narrowed his eyes. "I fail to see how a cult of deranged cultists could possibly be a threat to us, when there is a demon standing down there in the crater!" he hit back.
Rodeo scoffed at him. "Tch, you've listened too much to that Italian exorcist! Both you and him are blind if you think the Acolytes of Pluton are less of a danger to this Earth!" he reprimanded Shaheen.
"Do not lecture me, Montana!" Shaheen hit back.
Meanwhile, the main group watched as the members of L'ordine were each engaged in different duels. Paul was especially pleased to see Marshall fighting Feng.
"Way to go, buddy! You go get him!" Paul cheered for his friend.
However, King was having incredibly uneasy feelings about seeing Marduk and Armor King clash. It only reminded him about a painful episode that he had long worked to put behind.
"Coño! Why is it that neither one of them will heed my words!?" King wondered, feeling distressed. He then started remembering his late teacher, let alone the wisdom he had shared with him. "Teacher…what would you do if you had seen this? Either way…..I pray that you will not hate me for whatever outcome this fight will have" he then silently prayed.
Baek observed the fightings taking place. "Well, I suppose that they will keep fighting for now" the Taekwondo master remarked, only to notice the group of G Corp. associates approach them. "And just our luck. Kazuya's henchmen are here" he then noted.
Hwoarang had noticed how Wang had not moved a muscle, despite the group nearing their location. "Hey, old man! There are enemies approaching us from the left! Do you read me!?" he called out to him, yet was given zero responses. "What's with this geezer? Is he deaf or something!?" Hwoarang complained.
"I will go and confront them!" King suddenly spoke up, cracking his knuckles. He then looked over his shoulder to face the other fighters near him. "If some of you have figured out what Wang Jinrei's plan is, I suggest you follow me" the luchador said before taking his leave.
This had only left Hwoarang confused. "What did he mean by that?" he quizzed, only to notice certain people following King.
Eddy was among them, followed by Christie and Katarina. "We see what this is. Obviously, they're planning on assisting Kazuya. But we'll make sure that his cheerleaders will be kept out" the Brazilian man told the woman.
But Katarina was having different things in mind, especially since it came to Gigas. "But we still need to rescue my papai. Yes, I'm not leaving this island until he's with us" she young woman was filled with passion.
"Don't worry, Katarina. We'll find a way to free your dad! I know we will!" Christie assured her.
Soon, other fighters joined in, including Miguel, Steve, Bob and Raven.
"We can't allow those people to interfere" Raven told the other fighters.
Miguel snorted at him in return. "And who gave your permission to give us orders!?" the aggressive Spaniard snapped, yet Raven easily ignored his outburst.
"Let's just focus on keeping those maniacs off the edge. If they plan on sabotaging whatever Wang's idea is, then I suppose we can't let them pass!" Bob spoke up with so much confidence.
Steve banged his gloved fists, eager for a fight. "Then count me in, guv! We'll send those wankers back to wherever they came from!" he spoke with so much passion.
Hwoarang only stood and watched this, still feeling lost. "Can someone please tell me what the hell's going on here?" the auburn-haired man asked, feeling a little fed up.
"Come on, Hwoarang. Let's join them" Shuwawei spoke up, standing beside her fellow Taekwondo fighter. He looked at her confused, seeing as the young woman was full of energy and determination. "What? Don't tell me that you're chickening out! Why, did you lose our tough-guy act?" she teasingly asked him.
"You shut up! I'm not chickening out! Who said I was!?" Hwoarang barked back at her.
The Korean woman giggled in response. "Don't worry. I was just teasing you" Shuwawei said, much to Hwoarang's irritation.
"Still, Shuwawei's got a point" Baek suddenly spoke up, catching their attention. The middle-aged man nodded his head weakly to confirm that he really meant it. "Listen, I don't know who this Revenant is. But if Master Wang considers it to be a dangerous threat to us, then there's no reason to doubt him. That's why you two better keep those G Corp-folks busy. I'll stand by Wang's side until that person shows up" the Taekwondo master encouraged them both.
Looking at each other one more time, Shuwawei and Hwoarang found smiling at each other, which surprised Baek to say at least.
"You're thinking what I'm thinking?" the young woman smugly asked him.
Cracking his knuckles, Hwoarang grinned with excitement. "Damn right, I am! Let's go kick some G Corp ass!" he exclaimed before running to join up with the main group. Shuwawei ran in order to catch up with him.
Baek could only stand and muse to himself in seeing the two Taekwondo fighters starting to get along. He eventually looked over his shoulder to observe Wang, who sat down as he faced the battle taking place below him. Baek wondered why he did that.
"Is this Revenant really bad as you say he is? I gotta know more. Hopefully, you don't plan on sitting there the entire time" the Korean man thought.
Bruce, Anna, Lucky Chloe, Gigas, JACK-7 and Alex stopped moving once they could see the line of fighters standing in their way. Apparently, they had no intention of letting them pass.
"Tch, those guys are pissing me off!" Bruce muttered, yet he soon found himself smirking. "Still, I wouldn't mind cracking more skulls" he then remarked.
Anna looked at him with a smirk, carrying her bazooka on her shoulder. "Shall we play some divide and conquer?" she questioned him.
Bruce chuckled deeply. "Fire away, Anna. Make them scram like cockroaches!" he told her.
"With pleasure" Anna replied coyly before firing her weapon.
The rocket headed straight towards the line of fighters. They all reacted by either ducking or diving sideways in order to avoid getting hit. Fortunately, all of them dodged the rocket, yet they could hear it explode as it landed on the ground behind them. But in the process, the group had been separated into two smaller ones.
Steve got separated with Raven, Eddy and Katarina. They each got back on their feet quickly, albeit Raven was up first.
"Are you guys alright?" Steve asked them, brushing off some dirt on his jacket.
Raven seemed unfazed by this and adjusted his sunglasses. "I've been through worse experiences" he told Steve as if it hadn't bothered him.
Eddy spat on the ground before getting up. "Droga! Who fired that rocket at us!?" he cursed as he stood on one knee.
"Oops, that would be me" the "sarcastic" voice came from Anna. She stood before the four accompanied by Bruce and Gigas. She glanced at them with zero remorse for her actions. "Sorry, I do tend to get carried away at times with this lovely thing of mine. Surely you can understand that" the brunette went justifying her actions.
Raven crossed his arms while glaring at the trio before him. "Anna Williams, Bruce Irvin and Gigas…..or rather, Gilberto Alves" he told their names, including that of Gigas.
"Man, you sure have done your homework when it comes to snooping around business that doesen't concern you" Bruce remarked at Raven's statement.
Katarina, already having her eyes on Gigas, soon directed her fury towards Bruce and Anna. Even as she wore her sunglasses, one could tell that the woman's eyes were that of rage and resentment.
"You…." Katarina spoke through her seething teeth. "WHAT HAVE YOU BICHANOS DONE TO MY PAPAI!?" she snapped at them.
Bruce watched her with a raised eyebrow. "What's her deal?" he wondered.
Anna couldn't help but to giggle. "Oh, that's right. You're Gigas' daughter, correct? Or should I say adoptive daughter, given that you're not technically related" the brunette mocked Katarina.
Hearing this, Katarina angrily charged towards the brunette. "CALE-SE, CADELA!" she cursed, intending on attacking Anna, only for Gigas to intervene and try attacking her. Katarina had quick wits, so she managed to avoid getting smashed by the hulking abomination in time. Still, the Brazilian woman was horrified of what she witnessed. "Papai…porque…." Katarina could only watch as Gigas was still obeying the commands of the G Corp.
Eddy got up to her side, his eyes facing both Bruce and Anna sternly. "You two have a lot to answer for with what you've done! And I'll make sure you pay!" the Capoeira fighter told them.
Bruce scoffed at him. "I don't give a damn about your goody two-shoes bullshit! Why are you still here, anyway?" he asked, pretending to sound like he had lost interest in dealing with Eddy.
Before Eddy could retort back, Steve suddenly stepped before him and Katarina. He fixed a rather cocky expression towards Bruce and Anna.
"So, you're both Kazuya's thugs? Funny, because I was expecting you two to be uglier!" he taunted them.
Bruce grunted. "And who the hell are you, punk?" he demanded an answer.
"Tch, back off, pops! I'm not scared of some old-timer like yourself" Steve hit back, much to Bruce's irritation.
"Don't judge me by my age, you little twit. Weren't you ever told to show some respect to your elders!" Bruce rebuked him.
Anna was having fun, and she couldn't help but to giggle. "My, my, you sure look like a handsome man. What is someone like you doing out here on Hawaii, Steve Fox? Or should I call you, Steve Williams, perhaps?" the brunette told him.
Steve's eyes widened in shock. "Hey! How do you know my name!? And for the record, it's Steve Fox!" the Englishman snapped back at her.
Anna chuckled by seeing Steve's reaction. "Come now. There's no need to get so hissy, young man. I know all about you and your mother" she insisted.
Yet Steve was not convinced. "What? You're not making any sense…" he replied.
Raven approached him. "You've seen this woman before. At the celebration in the Rochefort Mansion. She's Kazuya's secretary: Anna Williams" the agent laid it out for Steve, hoping to help him refresh some memories. "That said, Anna is the younger sister of Nina Williams. Like her, she also underwent cryosleep" Raven added.
Steve gasped in disbelief in hearing this information. He looked at Anna once again, the attractive woman already facing him with a smirk. It appeared that he understood Raven's explanation.
"But if so…..then that makes you my…..my….." Steve fumbled between his words.
"Yes, handsome. It's all true. And I know all about who your daddy is" Anna revealed, making Steve more nervous.
But before Steve could even open his mouth to respond, someone appeared before him. It was Nina, who was now standing between him and Anna. Steve was stunned by her sudden arrival.
"It's you…." Steve was speechless.
However, Nina didn't seem to take notice of him, as her eyes were locked on Anna. "How rude of you to run away from our fight, Anna. We still have a score to settle" she coldly told her.
"Please, sister. I was only trying to make an impression upon this handsome son of yours. Nothing would be more exciting than to meet my nephew in person" the brunette told her with so much sarcasm.
Eddy and Katarina were confused by all this talk. "Her son?" Eddy wondered, unable to fathom in how Steve was actually Nina's son.
But the two Brazilians were interrupted when Gigas suddenly started charging towards them. They each went separate ways, yet got together once Gigas had ceased his aggression.
"Alright, Katarina. You know him better than I do. Do you think you can reach out to him?" the Capoeira fighter asked, watching as Gigas roared like an animal.
As much as it pained her to see her adoptive father act this barbarous, she swallowed her fears and fixed a confident pose when facing Gigas.
"It's all or nothing. Either way, I'm not leaving until papai's back to normal. There has to be a way in order break free of the G Corp's control!" Katarina answered him.
Hearing her words made Eddy smile in satisfaction. "Good. That's just what I wanted to hear from you" he told Katarina.
"Well, it seems that Gigas has now found himself some playmates" Anna remarked, fixing her eyes upon Steve. She looked past Nina. "That said, I was wondering whether you wanted to spend some quality time together. I promise, I'll be the best auntie you'll ever have…" she continued saying stuff.
But Anna was in for a surprise when Nina dived towards her, forcing the brunette to mount a defense. The two sisters became engaged in a deadly catfight once again.
"Ignore him. You're fighting me" Nina told Anna nonchalantly.
Anna smirked in return. "Well now. I suppose that your mother's intuition is now taking shape" she teasingly remarked.
Nina didn't seem to care. "Shut your trap and start fighting seriously! This time, I won't go easy on you like before" she spat, trying to land a punch on her younger sister.
But Anna was quick to counter Nina's attacks. "So, you DO seem to care much for that boy?" Anna continued teasing her older sister.
Bruce was growing tired of this nonsense and charged straight towards Steve. However, Steve the young Boxer took on the challenge and blocked his kick. Clearly, he had shown interest in taking on Bruce.
"You're a Kickboxer, right? That's fancy! Wanna see your kicks stand up to my punches?" Steve dared the middle-aged man.
Rather than getting agitated, Bruce laughed at Steve's challenge. "Boxing? Against Kickboxing? You're in over your head" Bruce ridiculed him while before slapping one of his strong knees. "I bet that my knees will be more than enough to crack your tiny fists. That oughta be enough get rid of that smartass-smirk of yours!" he added.
Still, Steve was not intimidated. "Then come at me, you big bully! I'll teach you to pick on someone on your own size!" he hit back at his foe.
With that said, Bruce and Steve were engaged in a bitter fight. While Steve faced challenges in withstanding Bruce's kicks, the young Englishman was not the type of guy to surrender. With his newly-discovered Mishima blood, Steve would make good use of it when dealing with someone like Bruce.
Raven, seeing as how everyone had their fighters, looked to see what the other group had stumbled upon. With his skills of ninjutsu, the agent vanished from the scene and landed on the desolate fields where Bob, Miguel, Christie, King, Hwoarang and Shuwawei had gotten themselves. They had barley recovered from Anna's rocket.
"Damn! That bitch with the bazooka almost got us! And I was THIS close to damage my only eye left!" Hwoarang cursed while getting up on one knee.
Shuwawei, who was near him, looked up to see their enemies approach them. "Not good. Here comes the enemy!" the Korean lady noted.
Before the group stood JACK-7, Alex and Lucky Chloe. Clearly, they had been sent to deal with them by Bruce and Anna. In fact, Chloe fixed her vengeful gaze upon Christie. She even pointed a finger at her.
"Well now, Mrs. Samba! You thought you could outrun me and postpone our match!? Think again!" Chloe snapped.
Christie groaned in return. "Not again. I'd rather be fighting Kazuya instead of you" the Brazilian girl admitted, starting to feel annoyed by Chloe's antics.
"What did you say to me!?" the blondie hit back, feeling very offended.
Bob scratched the top of his head, confused by these foes. "A robot, a dinosaur and a…...cosplayer? What kind of circus does Kazuya Mishima run?" he asked out loud.
"Beats me. Either way, he has poor taste in subordinates" Hwoarang spoke up, he himself confused.
But King seemed ready to fight. He noticed how JACK-7 kept his robotic eyes locked upon him. The masked luchador realized what this meant.
"So, this mechanical fighting machine wants to test its mettle against me?" King asked, before stretching out his strong muscles and daring JACK-7 to come at him. "Can't say no to a challenge. I'll prove to the scientists at the G Corp that true can never be replaced by machines. It is earned through tough training and winning battles. So I'll gladly take you on!" the Mexican man said.
"Sosténlo justo ahí!" Miguel suddenly interjected him and stood beside the luchador. "If you think you can have that scrapheap to yourself, then you're dead wrong! I also wanna punch a hole in that thing!" he demanded.
King shook his head slightly, feeling annoyed by Miguel's attitude. "Bueno. But don't fall behind! There's no way that I will act as your rescuer. Comprender?" he wanted to make sure that Miguel would watch out for himself.
"Besa mi culo!" Miguel responded.
Neither King nor Miguel had time to continue their argument, since JACK-7 was already onto them. The two men avoided getting slammed by the robot, yet they still knew how JACK-7 was more advanced compared to the lesser JACK-models.
"Commencing elimination of targets" JACK-7 spoke up, using his eyes to analyze his two opponents.
Meanwhile, Shuwawei had joined Christie with taking out Lucky Chloe. Despite being two against one, Chloe didn't seem to care.
"So, you're joined by a friend, huh?" Chloe sassily asked, only to show some of her dance moves and breakdancing. "Either way, it won't help you! And I'm gonna make you two realize how nobody bashes J-pop and gets away with it!" the teenage girl declared.
Christie facepalmed, while Shuwawei only stared at her with a raised eyebrow. "What's she talking about?" the Korean lady asked Christie.
"I've no idea. She's just delusional. It all started when I said my favorite music genre was Samba" the Capoeira fighter replied, still not getting the cosplayer's animosity towards her.
"I see. She's a fan of J-pop. Now that explains her otaku lifestyle" Shuwawei replied, facing Chloe with a confidential smirk. "Hey, you! I hate to break it to you, but J-pop's not the best music genre in my opinion. It's got nothing compared to K-pop!" she then started getting under Chloe's skin.
The teenage girl was furious, yet also dumbfounded at the same time. "You're joking, right?" Chloe said, only to laugh her butt off at what the Korean lady said. "Seriously? K-pop sucks balls! I mean, I've listened to some. And Gangnam Style: worst song and dancing ever!" she started ridiculing Shuwawei's interest in K-pop.
The Taekwondo fighter only narrowed her eyes at her in return. "Honestly, there are plenty of songs in K-pop and Gangnam Style doesn't represent them all!" Shuwawei said, suddenly starting to get into fighting position. "Someone should teach you some humility. And I happen to be woman best suited for such!" she then taunted her opponent.
Chloe only got more furious in return. "Like I need that from the likes of you! If there's someone who needs a few changes, it's definitely you and your taste in music!" she snapped back at Shuwawei, who seemed to have amusement in this.
Christie got up on her feet and was about to join Shuwawei, only for the Korean woman to block her path. Christie was confused at first, yet she could see Shuwawei's kind-hearted expression on her face.
"Go. Leave her to me. I've noticed that you've been wanting to help Eddy and Katarina" the Taekwondo fighter revealed, much to Christie's surprise. Shuwawei weakly nodded her head. "Follow what your heart wants, Christie. Go and help your friends" Shuwawei continued.
Knowing that she spoke the truth, Christie decided to leave Chloe to Shuwawei. "Thank you so much. I'll promise to repay the favor, someday" Christie said, running away from the fight.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going you…" Chloe attempted to run after the Brazilian girl, only for Shuwawei to block her path. The cosplayer got a kick to her left hip as a result and it sent her on the ground.
Shuwawei glanced down at Chloe with dispassionate eyes. "I'm your opponent, otaku. And if there's one thing that I find disgraceful, it is someone who refuses to face me in combat" the Korean woman said while performing some Taekwondo moves. "Face me! I dare you!" she declared, almost sounding like Baek just now.
Feeling very agitated, Chloe got up on her feet, deciding to accept Shuwawei's challenge. "You want a piece of me!? Fine! I'll give you something to chew on! Then you might regret not taking me seriously!" the blondie spat at her opponent.
Still, Shuwawei was not amused. "Then come at me! I dare you!" she taunted Chloe.
Alex was setting his sights on Bob. But Bob was now being joined by Hwoarang. Yet for some reason, the dinosaur kept his gaze upon Bob, which only made him confused.
"I don't get it. What's with that staring and….." Bob wondered, only to see salvia drip from Alex's monstrous jaws. "Eeeeewww! And you're drooling too!? Geez, you need a bucket or something!" the round man looked away from what he saw.
Hwoarang seemed to have clue on what was going on. "Clearly he thinks you're tasty. I mean, what predator could possibly resist eating someone with so much fat and calories?" he suggested.
Bob looked at him dispassionately. "Whose side are you on!?" he asked the young Korean, who raised his hands in the air.
"I'm only stating the obvious. It's a dinosaur, for God's sake! They eat meat, remember?" Hwoarang hit back, only for him to realize the error of his statement. "Uh, I meant not all dinosaurs, of course. I mean, there were planteaters and those who ate only eggs and…"the Korean man stumbled in confusion.
"You're not helping, buddy!" Bob rebuked him, only to hear Alex roar at them. Bob got into fighting position, realizing that he and Hwoarang would have to fight this prehistoric creature. "Listen. If we wanna avoid becoming his meal, then we have to fight him. So, what do you say we take on him together?" Bob then asked Hwoarang.
The Taekwondo fighter was somehow confused at Bob's statement. "Wait. How do you know that's a male? It could be a female for all I care" Hwoarang said, only to be given an angry glare by Bob. "Okay, okay, I get it! I'm ready take on that freak. Just don't unleash all that overweight anger on me. Chill!" he insisted, getting serious for once.
Bob smirked. "Now that's more like it! Just watch and see how fast I really am!" he told Hwoarang, only to dive sideways to avoid Alex's biting. Hwoarang did the same thing.
However, the dinosaur remained fixated upon Bob. That's why he charged the round man, much to Hwoarang's annoyance.
"Tch, that thing's clearly more into fatasses than he's into guys like me" Hwoarang said, only to look up to where his teacher and the others were standing. "That reminds me, why has Master Baek remained at that old geezer's side? And not just that, there's somebody missing. Xiaoyu, that Kazama-girl, that snotty rich girl, where are they?" the Taekwondo fighter wondered.
Amidst the fighting to prevent two groups from reaching the edge of the volcano, Wang remained seated with few fighters by his side. He was still observing the ongoing fight happening below him. From what he could see, Heihachi and Kazuya were still going at it. Neither Mishima showed any signs of weakening. They were each fighting at their biggest strength.
"This has gone too far. It is time that I begin" Wang uttered out words beneath his beard.
Without knowing, a dark portal suddenly emerged before the group who stood with Wang. Raven had joined up with Paul and Baek. Things were not looking great as the portal grew wider and wider.
"What the hell is that!?" Paul exclaimed out of disbelief.
"No idea" Baek responded, already stunned by the effects this portal caused.
Winds started blowing in the area. And it didn't take long before the two other main groups took notice of the portal as well. In just a few moments, a figure emerged out of it. It was none other than Revenant himself. The masked cultist entered the desolate fields, accompanied by Taiga, Rumi, Isaak and Yue. And not only that, there were several cultists of the Acolytes of Pluton who held Xiaoyu, Asuka, Lili, Leo, Alisa, Josie and Julia captured.
By now, every single fight that had started between the groups stopped. They all directed their attention towards Revenant, the shadowy figure already raising his metallic hands in the air.
"HOW PLEASANT! TO BE GREETED BY SO MANY FAMILIAR AND UNFAMILIAR FACES! I MUST ADMIT THAT I FEEL FLATTERED!" Revenant exclaimed loudly.
Raven started tapping on his sunglasses, yet he couldn't get any data from Revenant. "Damn! Just what kind of creature is he? At this rate, I don't think it's safe to even classify Revenant as human. He's something much worse" he noted, with both Paul and Baek listening.
Michelle felt distraught by seeing her daughter in the enemy's hands. "Julia! What have you monsters done to my daughter!?" the Native American woman angrily spat.
Claudio was speechless with what he saw. "Oddio. I would have never imagined that the Acolytes of Pluton would be here on Hawaii" the Italian man noted warily.
"Well, they're here now!" Rodeo angrily berated the exorcist. He then turned his rage towards Revenant. "That son of a bitch! He's finally showing his face here after so long!" the soldier fought back the urge to charge straight at the cultist.
The eyes of Revenant's mask glowed purple, and his energies were now on full display for everyone to see. Apparently, he had decided to goad them into attacking him.
"What's the matter, so-called warriors!? Are all of you too scared to face me!?" he mockingly asked them. "If all of you value your lives, step aside and let me pass! I have two Mishimas to slay!" Revenant then demanded.
Amidst this show of power, Zafina felt Azazel taking complete control of her body. "No…..I refuse…" the Egyptian woman struggled, but it was no use. She was even forced to walk towards Revenant against her own will.
"BE SILENT, WOMAN! I CONTROL YOUR FRAGILE BODY NOW!" Azazel's voice invaded her thoughts. "THAT BEING SAID, I CANNOT ALLOW HIM TO RUIN MY PLANS. YES, HE WOULD DO BETTER EMPOWERING ME! I WILL SLAY HIM AND MAKE HIS POWERS MINE!" the evil entity directed his fury towards the cultist.
Revenant soon took notice of Zafina, yet he knew very well that she didn't walk towards him freely. The cultist chuckled deeply at seeing this.
"How embarrassing. First, you are defeated by a cursed child. And now your remaining powers are sealed within a weak-minded assassin? Your fate is laughable, Rectifier of All Things" Revenant mused to seeing this.
"HOLD YOUR TONGUE, CULTIST! MY REEMERGANCE WILL BECOME A REALITY! AND THAT IS WHY YOU WILL BE SLAIN!" Azazel replied.
Clearly, Revenant could hear the demon's voice, which explained how they were able to converse with one another.
"Slay me? But Azazel, why in the world would you do that? Your goal is also my goal. Our interests align with one another. Would it not be more beneficial to cooperate against our common enemies?" Revenant questioned the evil entity telepathically.
"YOU THINK I AM FOOLISH!? I KNOW ALL ABOUT YOUR TRUE MOTIVES! AND THESE GODS OF OLD ARE NOTHING BUT MYTHS! INDEED, YOU ARE MERELY A PUPPET IN A BIGGER GAME! OVER MY DEAD BODY WOULD I EVER BECOME A SERVANT TO YOUR MASTER!" Azazel then pointed out.
The energies around Revenant kept glowing more darker, and it indicated what he was planning on doing. "Then I assume you refuse my offer. Very well. Then prepare for your demise, Azazel" the cultist said.
Rage could be felt inside Zafina's body. As such, she jumped up in the air, aiming her demonic left hand at Revenant.
"YOU WILL DIE, FALSE PROPHET!" Azazel roared, keen on ending Revenant's life once and for all.
Revenant responded by unleashing his full power. The cultist avoided Azazel's arm and literally gored Zafina's stomach. The young woman coughed out blood, yet the one truly experiencing the pain was Azazel.
"NOOOOOO! DAMN YOU, MORTAL SCUM!" Azazel cursed as his powers began weakening. That was true, considering how Zafina's left arm began changing. "THIS IS NOT OVER! I WILL HAVE YOUR POWERS! I WILL…." Azazel stopped speaking as the cultist had managed to weaken Revenant and reduce him to nothing.
Revenant chuckled as he heard him say that. "Foolish demon. Do you honesty think that possessing a human body is enough to restore your power to full capacity? You have only succeeded in condemning yourself to a life of shame! That explains how Jin Kazama was able to defeat you!" he said before tossing away Zafina's lifeless body.
Shaheen was near, so he immediately got onto his knees and looked at her body.
"ZAFINA! ZAFINA!" Shaheen cried out, yet he received no answer.
"It's no use" Rodeo said lowly before facing Revenant. "He's taken her life essence away. That's one of the terrible things he's capable of" he told the Saudi Arabian man.
But Shaheen soon directed his rage towards the cultist. But he was not alone. A majority of the fighters did that as well.
Even Claudio, having just activated his powers, was prepared to fight him. "You are a monster! As long as you live, I will devote myself to end your existence. You are beyond redemption!" the exorcist called out.
Revenant smirked beneath his mask. Nearly all the fighters were now keen on battling him. And they call approached him, ready to fight. Despite seeing that many foes, Revenant was hardly intimidated. He was more excited.
"YES! COME AT ME THEN, HEROES! FIGHT AND BARE WITNESS TRUE DESPAIR!" the cultist taunted them out of madness.
But Xiaoyu, who still had enough energy to speak, realized how it was futile. "No…..NO! RUN AWAY!" the Chinese girl pleaded, only to slapped on her face by Yue.
"Shut your trap!" she berated her former friend.
As Revenant unleashed his true powers that made everyone shocked, it seemed hopeless for them. Clearly, the cultist was keen on stealing all their life essences. Everyone, from Bryan, Paul, Master Raven and Armor King, to Dragunov, Yoshimitsu, Nina and Baek, were caught in these twisted energies.
Revenant stood and laughed as all his foes weakened before him. "NOW, YOU ALL UNDERSTAND! ONLY A MISHIMA COULD POSSIBLY HAVE THE CHANCE OF DEFEATING ME! NOBODY WILL COME AND SAVE YOU FROM YOUR FATE! IT HAS ALREADY BEEN DECIDED!" he exclaimed out of madness.
But amidst this draining of life essences, Revenant felt something disturbing. It was as if his powers were now weakened by a strange power. He knew very well that this wasn't the work of Kazuya or Heihachi. Rather, it was the work of someone else.
At the edge of the volcano, Wang stood up on his feet. He had his weary eyes closed for some reason. It was as if he was speaking to someone.
"Forgive me, dear Kazumi. But I cannot save either Heihachi or Kazuya from their cycle of hatred" he thought while turning around and approaching the scene where everyone's had their life essences drained. Wang's eyes were still closed. "However, there is something I can indeed save. Yes, I will save the world from the darkness and reduce its influence upon humanity" the elderly man then concluded.
Revenant's gaze was now fixated upon Wang, who had been completely unaffected by his powers so far. It angered him greatly.
"Damnit all….." the cultist cursed, enraged as the Chinese man remained untouched.
Xiaoyu and the other girls couldn't believe their own eyes. How was Wang able to walk so casually while unaffected by Revenant's twisted magics?
"Gramps…" Xiaoyu uttered out lowly.
Suddenly, Wang opened his weary eyes. But in the process a burst of golden light suddenly erupted out of Wang as a while. It created a shockwave that managed to literally dispel Revenant's attempt on stealing the life essences. He along with his cohorts were sent flying as a result. They were still alive, yet shaken by the kind of energy that came out of the elderly man.
Wang's outburst managed to free every fighter from Revenant's clutches. Sadly, they had been gradually weakened as a result of the cultist's work. They all watched as the Chinese man stood there, with a different kind of energy that had ever been seen before.
Revenant got back on his feet, directing his wrath towards Wang. "So…you came here. Just as I suspected" he noted.
The look upon Wang's face was that of seriousness and determination. "Never would I allow such wickedness to flourish upon this earth. It does not deserve to bear more upon its shoulders" the elderly man said.
"No matter. Clearly you are as much of a hindrance to me as the Mishimas are. Therefore, I will have no choice but eradicate your pitiful existence" the cultist said.
Wang continued to face the cultist, but he couldn't help but to look past him. The reason for that was because he managed to get a glimpse of Yue, a former student at his dojo alongside Xiaoyu. He could see the two girls not far from each other. Soon, his eyes met Yue's.
"Yue. Listen closely" he spoke up loud enough for his former student to hear. "Whatever grudge you carry against me, put it aside for your own sake. We both know that this man's evil benefits no one. Not even you" Wang's voice reached out to Yue.
The Chinese girl listened to her former master. But anger and resentment soon took over her mind. "Screw you, old man! Your pathetic philosophy is what benefits no one! You can go to hell!" Yue spat at him.
Xiaoyu was in disbelief of what she heard. "Don't you ever talk to him like that!" she berated Yue.
"Shut up, Xiaoyu!" her former best friend hit back.
For some reason, Wang had his eyes closed. Apparently, he was thinking back to the days when both Xiaoyu and Yue trained at his dojo. But those were many years ago. It was before Xiaoyu even left China to study and Japan and pursue her dreams of opening an amusement park.
"I really wish thing did not have to come to this" he thought, only to hear Revenant's sadistic chuckle coming at him.
"How sad. To be rejected by your own student. I can't imagine how the pain feels like" Revenant spoke up. He then proceeded to unleash his dark energies. "That being said, I think it's time that we quit this chit-chat and start taking this seriously. I know your motives for attempting to stop me! You are doing this at the request of that filthy witch Kazumi. I will make sure that all of your efforts will be in vain. You will meet her on the other side soon enough" the cultist continued, not even holding back his sorcery.
Despite seeing this power, Wang was now backing down. As a matter of fact, he stood his ground, already being prepared to fight this deadly foe. He even took off his vest and it revealed a more muscular torso that contrasted greatly with his usual frail appearance.
"Very well. Then I will respond in kind. With all the strength that I have saved for this very battle, I will fight you to the very end! It is time that you faced the wrath of a true warrior" Wang declared, his golden powers now returning to surround him.
From what everyone could tell, Wang was putting his life on the line for the sake of ending Revenant. But could he succeed? A titanic battle was about to commence.
Down in the crater of Puʻu ʻŌʻō, Hawaiian Islands
While all things happened above the surface, the battle between father and son continued in this hellish and volatile environment. Kazuya had unleashed the true extent of his Devil Gene, as he was determined to finish off his father for good. But in return, Heihachi had released the full extent of his own ascended power and strength. Needless to say, each Mishima had started taking their duel seriously. It was a fight to the death, after all.
"I will crush you!" Kazuya yelled as he fired beam from the eye on his chest.
But Heihachi ducked and managed to avoid it. Still, Kazuya was faster in his Devil form. He grabbed the old man by his throat and carried him in the air, only to shove Heihachi onto the solid ground.
Heihachi responded by delivering a powerful uppercut to Kazuya's chin. It was powerful, yet the demonic man was hardly injured. As Kazuya stood on another location, the Mishima Patriarch charged straight towards him. However, Kazuya seemed to have a plan in motion.
"Feel the wrath…." Kazuya said while his demonic wings gathered around him. He then proceeded to unleash a shockwave with his wings. "OF THE DEVIL HIMSELF!" the roar and it's aftershock was enough to send Heihachi flying.
Heihachi landed on the ground, feeling irritated to have been reduced to such state. That's why he decided to get more serious. "I'm not done yet!" he yelled while lightning enveloped all over his body. Heihachi then slammed his fist onto the ground.
This caused the ground to shake and Kazuya managed to actually lose his balance. Heihachi saw an opportunity there. He charged straight towards his son and delivered a powerful blow to his stomach.
Grinning, the old man continued fighting. "I will never stop fighting!" he taunted Kazuya. "No matter how many times you try, you will never be rid of me!" he then added.
The devilish rage on Kazuya's expression continued to consume him. For too long, he had allowed his father to ridicule and mock his dignity as a fighter. He felt that it was time for him to get real and eliminate his father once and for all.
Laughing out loud, Heihachi felt that he now had the upper hand in this fight. But he couldn't be more wrong.
"It's time we finish this!" he declared before running straight towards his son. "I WILL END THIS NIGHTMARE AND BURN ALL MEMORIES OF THE PAST! NO LONGER WILL I BE HAUNTED!" he screamed.
But Kazuya had concentrated all his efforts on attacking one spot on Heihachi: his stomach. He did not fly to take on his father head on. Rather, he waited for the right opportunity. Once he could feel Heihachi nearing him, Kazuya decided to act.
"THIS PLACE WILL BECOME YOUR BURIAL GROUND!" Kazuya yelled before delivering a powerful punch onto Heihachi's stomach.
The old man's mouth streamed with blood and it forced him to stop completely. But Kazuya was not finished just yet. As his opponent was paralyzed by the attack, the demonic man delivered a powerful uppercut that sent his father flying in the air.
Kazuya looked up, smirking as he watched his hated enemy struggling to even move. His time had finally come.
"Your life is at end here!" he noted before flying towards Heihachi's body.
He flew up and knocked Heihachi so that he fell down towards the ground. The old man was still unable to mount a defense. But for Kazuya, who had wings, the odds worked in his favor. He dived towards the falling Heihachi, eventually landing a punch upon him. Heihachi was forced down to the ground and the impact the landing created managed to crack the ground beneath them.
Grabbing onto his father's motionless body, Kazuya threw Heihachi away, only to prepare another attack. The giant eye on his chest began gathering evil energy that was ready to fire. It was the same beam that was usually fired from his Evil Eye. But this time, the attack would be much more powerful. Kazuya looked at his unconscious foe, the feeling of vengeance having never felt so sweet.
"IT'S OVER, HEIHACHI!" Kazuya snapped, before stretching out his two wings. The eye on the chest, together with three eyes on each wing, fired beams that headed straight towards Heihachi. "NOW DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Kazuya yelled as he unleashed those hellish beams.
Heihachi, already unconscious, was unable to make a move. That's why he was hit with every single beam coming from Kazuya. The firing continued until an explosion was made. It managed to affect the landscape.
Once he was finished, Kazuya felt his body tire immensely. He had used a lot of energy when releasing this blast. But in Kazuya's mind, it was worth it. He could only watch the bleeding and lifeless body of Heihachi lying amongst the rubbles.
The very sight of this pleased Kazuya to the fullest. He even approached his father's body. "Finally. After everything you have put me through, I can finally end it. I will end this chapter of pain and suffering" Kazuya said, his eyes focused upon Heihachi.
But as he walked towards the old man, Kazuya could notice a few sparks all around Heihachi's body. And not only that, he heard noises coming from Heihachi's fingers.
"WHAT!?" Kazuya wondered as he stopped.
Heihachi's hands began moving, and his fingers managed to even land a few cracks on the solid ground. With lightning still enveloping all around him, the old man slowly rose up to his feet.
"You can't be serious…." Kazuya was speechless as he saw his father still standing on his feet. Demonic rage consumed his mind. "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST STAY DEAD!?" he demanded from his father.
While panting deeply, Heihachi took his time to smirk at his son. The expression signified that of defiance, indicating how he was not giving up on this battle.
"Foolish son…..you thought that this was enough to get rid of me…" Heihachi uttered out those words. His muscles tightened themselves, and lighting continued to spark all around him. "KAZUYAAAAA!" he yelled while releasing another burst of his ascended power.
Kazuya's rage consumed him. To see his father still standing after that powerful attack he just pulled only made him more determined to kill him.
"Just shut up…..YOU PATHETIC FOOL!" Kazuya roared back at him.
With that said, Heihachi and Kazuya resumed their deadly fight. Kazuya would still release his powerful beams, as well as his outbursts. But Heihachi was not giving up. The Mishima Patriarch realized that despite his current status, he had only been holding back his strength. He had to inflict much more damage to Kazuya if he could ever hope to injure him. Kazuya's Devil form did offer him a protective skin after all.
"I know what must be done. And if it leads to me becoming nothing but a pile of ash, then so be it!" Heihachi thought, already planning out his attack.
This time, he wanted Kazuya to charge at him. His son was more than happy to oblige. In a dash, Kazuya flew towards Heihachi, determined to finish him off once and for all.
Meanwhile, Heihachi stood still, gathering all his strength in order to prepare for what would probably be the most powerful attack he had ever pulled. It was even more powerful than the one he had done on previous opponents.
"I WILL NOT LOSE THIS TIME!" Kazuya roared, preparing to strike his father. "YOU'RE FINISHED!" he then yelled.
It as at this moment, Heihachi's reflexes told him to act. "DIE, KAZUYAAAA!" he yelled while delivering a powerful punch into Kazuya's face. This punch was so powerful that it even made his son's face bleed.
While already paralyzed by the pain all over his face, Heihachi proceeded to punch Kazuya on this chest, then to his stomach. Each of these punches were powerful enough to crack bones. Even Kazuya in his Devil-form was unable to withstand their effects. With his opponent still paralyzed, Heihachi proceeded to deliver a powerful headbutt upon Kazuya, making him bounce off the ground. Right now, Heihachi was using every strength he had to land this blow upon his son.
Moving his arms, Heihachi generated a wind arura all around him. He was waiting for the right opportunity to strike Kazuya, who was still in the air paralyzed and unable to move.
"Your delusions of grandeur…." Heihachi shouted while defying the strain it put on his body. "ENDS HEREEEEEEEEEE!" he delivered his Demon Breath move upon Kazuya's stomach. This attack proved powerful, and Kazuya was sent flying towards a pile of boulders.
Having just completed this attack, Heihachi immediacy fell down to one knee. He could feel how much his body just wanted to stop. It only made matters worse when he coughed out a pool of blood from his mouth.
"Damnit!" Heihachi cursed. He felt his entire body strain itself. "I've used too much of my energy now! My body can't take much more of this!" the old man continued to struggle breathing.
Looking up, he could see that the dust before him had begun to settle. As it was gone, Kazuya stood there. He was alive, of course. But no longer was he in the form of the Devil. He was back to normal, while at the same time gravely injured. To put it in another way, Kazuya was still alive, yet lacked enough energy to put on a fight like before.
Heihachi smirked. He had succeeded in besting Kazuya in his Devil-form. Still, a part of him felt displeased with how his son wasn't dead yet. For Kazuya, his Devil-form had been the one to guarantee his survival. Had he been his normal self when Heihachi performed his recent attack, would've not survived.
"Heh" Heihachi grunted as he slowly got up to his feet. "You're still alive? I must say that I'm impressed how far you've made it" the old man said while slowly walking towards his opponent.
Kazuya, already bleeding, withstood the pain inside his body and moved towards his father. "Damn you, Heihachi. Killing you keeps slipping away from my grasp…..." he lamented the fact that Heihachi was still alive.
Both Mishimas defied strains and injuries to approach one another. The area around them had settled down for some reason. No longer were the signs of volcanic activity. Furthermore, a soft breeze blew above them, thus only adding to the silent atmosphere.
After walking step by step, Heihachi and Kazuya stood about one foot apart from each other. They were so close that they could land punches on the other. But for some reason, neither Mishima made any move. They stood and glared at one another amidst the air of silence. Obviously, they did that to catch their breaths, as well as prepare for the next round of their duel. Kazuya and Heihachi had no intention of backing down yet, despite their critical conditions.
On the other hand, the moment of silence enabled the two men to hear the voice of the women they each cared about. Hearing their voices helped ease the pain they felt all over their bodies.
"Heihachi…" the voice of Kazumi haunted Heihachi's mind.
"Kazuya…" the voice of Jun invaded Kazuya's mind.
Once they felt they had gathered enough strength and energy, both father and son resumed their deadly duel. It began with a punch to each face, sending blood and salvia out of their lips.
Their punches were powerful that it made Kazuya and Heihachi move two feet away from the other. However, they continued fighting, unable to give up so easily.
The two Mishimas kept taking turns in punching each other, wanting to last this endurance test. Whatever the outcome would be, this was the final part. There could only be one winner…..and one survivor.
To be continued…
