Six didn't say anything, focusing her efforts on chasing after Vasir. Scanning one of the main skylanes Liara was the first to spot Vasir's skycar, "There she is! Hang a right! No wait, left!"

"I have hundreds of hours of flying logged. She won't escape me." While Six's statement was true, and using Dot to help identify her out of the hundreds of skycars flying around this time of day, she was saying that to get Liara to calm down.

Shepard also tried to help calm the situation as well, "Don't worry, she won't escape us. Now just let Six focus on flying."

Vasir's lead did help her, but Six's training in the Sabre Program and her Spartan reflexes meant there was no chance for Vasir to lose them that easily. Turning a sharp corner, Liara was slightly horrified at where Vasir was heading, "We're not going into the construction site, are—oh, goddess."

At the speeds they were going it must have been a spectacle to any onlookers as Six managed to weave her way between two partially built pillars. Vasir was losing her distance so she made another sharp turn toward a tunnel. She was heading for the Hespras street, though it wasn't clear where Vasir was trying to go.

"Heads up Six, we've got more agents inbound. We'll do what we can to slow them down, but we aren't exactly armed."

"Understood. Don't do anything too reckless slowing them down."

"A little late on that with Garrus flying."

"I heard no one complain after I got it flying."

Six cut the channel so she could focus on her target as a pair of transports were closing a gap that nearly crushed Six's skycar. Rounding a building Vasir rejoined Illium's sky traffic going the wrong way.

"Traffic! Oncoming traffic!"

"Stay calm." Six's reflexes allowed her to avoid the oncoming traffic without failing to keep up with Vasir. Vasir took another path avoiding open traffic again when she started dropping floating mines.

"She's dropping proximity charges!"

"I don't need any commentary…" Six dove down to avoid the mine as Vasir took them around several transporters trying to unload their cargo.

Vasir turned back into traffic again as she flew toward a tunnel with a wanted poster of Jack plastered above it. Six might not have noticed the wanted post if not for the rockets that exploded across Jack's crossed arms from the agents behind them. "She's got reinforcements!"

"Saw them before they fired, now keep it down!" She couldn't do anything to them at the moment, or at least initially. Vasir gave her that opportunity when a transport went careening against the tunnel's floor and blocking much of the area with its broadside.

"Truck!" Six continued to ignore Liara's complaints, slowing down to match speeds with the Shadow Broker agent filled vehicle. Waiting for the right moment Six rammed the Shadow Broker's agents into the side of the transport while causing enough recoil to their vehicle to squeeze into the small at the nose of the tipped vehicle.

"Where do you think you're going!" Six glanced in the rearview for a second, trying to see any threats behind them as they exited the tunnel. "Samara, Jack, let 'em go now!" Another transport filled with Shadow Broker agents zoomed past them at speeds too fast for it to compensate for the sharp turn. It bounced against a building as its engine caught ablaze. Rounding the next corner, they pinballed against two more transporters as it was sent falling toward the planet's surface.

Continuing against the flow of traffic, Vasir weaved between the other vehicles before another cargo hauler flipped trying to avoid a collision. Vasir didn't get away from it fast enough, causing her to slow enough that Six finally was able to be next to her. Vasir tried ramming them into an oncoming skycar, but Six easily avoid them.

At this point this chase had caused too much collateral, this had to end. Vasir seemed to agree, ramming against them trying to get them to collide into an oncoming skycar. Six's training and reflexes easily allowed her to avoid the oncoming skycar, disappearing from Vasir's visual range. Vasir was a decent pilot but that just made things easier for Six to read the situation. Six started ramming Vasir's car from below catching her off guard when she hit and pulled away before Vasir could hit back. Six had maneuvered herself now to Vasir's right and continued to ram into her. When Vasir pushed back, however, Six let go of the controls and allowed her vehicle to be knocked back quite a bit.

Vasir thought she had won but as she looked at the Spartan who wasn't even paying her any mind, looking straight ahead. By the time Vasir caught on to what had happened, it was already too late. An approaching skycar hooked at her as it ground against the top of Vasir's causing her skycar to go out of control as she tried to steer herself toward the nearby building with multiple balconies.

From their height, the fire and smoke coming from the car was preventing them from any visual conformation on Vasir's status so they had to land. "We downed Vasir. Tagging her location."

"Confirmed. We have a visual of your carnage. We'll hang back to help dissuade as many agents from cashing your party."

Whatever this place was it appeared to be a rather popular destination given the density of skycars here on the landing area. On their approach, Shepard openly wondered, "How does the Broker have such a large force at his disposal?"

Six checked her weapons, "Shadow organizations have their ways of finding the outcasts and despots who revel in this kind of work. As for the army, I can't say for sure. Maybe recruiting orphaned humans, can't say anything about the salarian or asari numbers."

Liara chimed in, "I believe the Shadow Broker is cloning his main force. That's the only viable explanation for how so many salarians or asari are under his employment and no one has revealed his identity… until now."

Landing gave them a better view of where Vasir crashed, it looked bad but survivable given her gear and training. Before they could reach the building's main entrance, a truck full of Shadow Broker agents landed to block their path. The team moved to cover, "What happened to stopping their reinforcements?"

Six gunned down the first Shadow Broker agent with his DMR, "Just take them out."

Liara froze one in place, "We don't have time for this."

Six threw a grenade, forcing the agents to scatter. She rushed to the salarian of the group, breaking his neck her just her hand and tossing his body at an agent so she could gun them down with her Revenant.

Shepard tossed an Overload tech mine out, "We got another group inbound to our flank!" That temporally disabled their weapons and stripped the salarian of his shields. Liara used that to create a biotic singularity to send them into the air for them to gun down.

Another load of agents was about to land until something jerked the truck to a stop. "Say goodnight shitfaces!" It was then thrown into the doorway toward where Vasir had landed.

A skycar zoomed overhead as Cortez waved them off, "Get moving team. There's more heading this way."

With this opening, they rushed over toward the crash and started looking over Vasir's crash site. Inside the room though a group of destroyed security mechs was left behind and Six found two scarred patrons. Inside the room, they were huddled in was a looping video of a group of dancing asari in rather risqué outfits. Six spotted Liara, catching her eye by nudging her head toward the screen. "What sort of establishment implores this kind of 'entertainment'?"

Liara didn't need to see, already familiar with the place. "Azure. It's a luxury resort with an… exotic edge. 'Azure' is slang for a part of the asari body in some areas of Illium."

Shepard was glancing at the screen now, "Where?"

"Mostly the lower reaches, near the bottom."

Shepard smirked, "I meant, 'Where on the asari body?'."

Liara started moving toward the burning car, "So did I."

Seeing the crash up close now, it appears that Vasir didn't have any time to patch herself or take everything she had left in the vehicle. Liara ran her fingers across some purple blood, leading away from the crash, "A blood trail. Vasir got hurt in the crash."

"That should slow her down."

Six wasn't as confident about that idea. Following the trail along the walkway, the found more disabled security bots. Six stopped at a large pool of blood as Liara rushed ahead, "She's lost a lot of blood. We have to be getting close."

Shepard looked down at the blood too, "She's tough, I'll give her that much."

"She's a Spectre." Just as Liara pointed that out they heard a scream coming from the next room. They found more mechs and bodies left behind by Vasir. Vasir was dragging herself across the open patio while a couple was having some drinks and their server. "Vasir! It's over!" The team had their weapons on her, Shepard and Liara with pistols as Six kept her DMR steady.

Vasir turned back, hobbling toward them. "Hey! Hey, you." Vasir biotically warped herself behind the employee, taking the woman hostage, "Come here." With the woman secured and Vasir's pistol drawn, the patrons ran back inside. "What's your name?"

She was terrified, not even understanding why this standoff was even happening. "M-Mariana."

"Mariana, you want to live, don't you? Tell those people that you want to live."

"Please…"

Shepard tried to keep the hostage calm, "We'll get you out of here safely, Mariana."

Vasir seemed to have some practice with this kind of situation, holding Mariana tightly to her own body, "Well, that's good to hear. All you had to do was walk away. Now it gets ugly."

The moment Vasir pointed her pistol to Mariana's head, she started crying, "Please. I have a son."

"A son? I hope he gets to see you again. I've heard losing a parent is just horrific for children. Scars them for life."

That was an obvious jab against Liara, and she knew it, "I'm going to end you, Vasir."

Shepard stopped her, "It's okay, Liara. We'll handle it. The usual way."

"You want Mariana's little boy to grow up without a mommy, Shepard? Thermal clips on the ground, now. Power cells, too."

Shepard wasn't budging, glancing at Six, "Six, do you have a shot?"

Six moved forward slightly, her rifle keen on her target, "Potentially. I can shoot her trigger finger and get her to drop the weapon, or I can ignore saving the hostage and just shot through both of their necks. Alternatively, I could go through the head, but there'll be more resistance for the shot and the chance the bone could spiral the shot's trajectory during the exit vector. The guaranteed shot would be between the woman's third and fourth rib, and into Vasir herself using an armor piercer and ignoring resistance factors."

Six's rather calm delivery of her hypothetical shots had Vasir worrying, turning the weapon at them again, "You're bluffing." With Six's helmet, there was little for Vasir to read on her to call the bluff.

Shepard smirked, "Now, Liara." Six was covering Liara so she could use her biotics to throw one of the tables into Vasir, knocking her into a pool of water and free Mariana. Six quickly got Mariana to her feet, getting her to leave before Vasir recovered.

Vasir jumped out of the water, biotically warping herself to the other side of the veranda with her battle rifle at the ready. Vasir started firing at the team, warping around the area and keeping them following her movements. Or at least it would if she was fighting normal opponents. Six's Spartan enhancements and Dot tracking Vasir's gravitational anomalies, the fierce Spartan stared firing at where Vasir was going to appear.

This threw Vasir off her game, having an opponent who seemed to be predicting where she'd end up being. If it wasn't for her strong biotic barrier and tough armor she'd probably be down by now. Vasir took to cover, "Where is that damn support!"

As soon as Vasir started firing back, a transport arrived with Shadow Broker agents firing at the group. Shepard took to cover, "Garrus, we could use that crowd control."

"Sorry we've got our hands full here but I'll see what can be done about both of our problems shortly."

With Garrus' roguish streak lately, Shepard was understandably worried about what was coming. But that could wait given their latest situation, "Liara, we're keeping those agents off of Six while she deals with Vasir."

Liara wanted to finish Vasir herself, but she could at least rely on Six preventing her from escaping. "Try not to kill her too quickly. And try not to damage the data chit!"

Six knew what she needed to do, the only real factor out of her control would be how quickly Vasir would alter her tactics. She quickly split off from Shepard and Liara, firing at Vasir to cut her from the Shadow Broker reinforcements. Vasir took the bait, seeing Six as the biggest threat on the field and separating from the others was too good for the Spectre to ignore.

Vasir jumped away, firing to try and keep the Spartan back. But despite Six's size and bulky looking armor, she managed to find enough cover to keep up with Vasir. Shepard and Liara were having a relatively easier time taking on the Shadow Broker agents before they could get any meaningful ground. It also helped when the others arrived to draw away some of the Broker's forces away or Jack and Samara outright destroying them with their biotics.

In truth, Six saw an opportunity to hinder her opponent even further, she just needed to create the opening to do so. "Dot, get the Armor Lock ready to activate while standing."

"Noble Six, protocol dictates…"

"Override and acknowledge."

"Confirmed. On standby."

Six now had to wait for the right moment when Vasir would use her biotics to charge at her. It took a bit of baiting, but after some exchange of bullets and a few biotic attacks, Vasir was finally going to rush her. Six got up, pulling out her blade, "Armor Lock, now!"

Vasir felt like she just rammed into a brick wall, then she felt a sharp pain piercing her side. She looked down and saw a knife plunged into her. Vasir saw that Six wasn't moving so to capitalize on this opening she saw and opened fire on the Spartan's head. The shots did not affect her as they bounced off of her overcharged shield.

Vasir quickly retreated from this futile assault to attempt to mend her injury. Six wouldn't let her, using her speed to chase her and put pressure on Vasir while going after her armor's open areas with her knife and getting what shots she could get on Vasir's armor. With each slash and shot Six was getting at Vasir weakening her bit by bit as she bleeds out even more.

Six's last slash would be at her Achilles, tripping the asari as she tried to drag herself away, "Ugh. Damn it! Damn it." Even down like this Six spared no precaution as she keeps her pistol trained on Vasir's head, removing her weaponry and retrieving the data chit. Just short of going for her spine, Six's slashes were meant to cause as much pain on Vasir as possible so she couldn't focus enough to utilize her biotic abilities.

Good timing just the same as Shepard, Liara and the others finished the newest group of Shadow Broker agents that tried to reinforce Vasir. Six handed the data to Liara, keeping her pistol at the ready.

Liara quickly scanned to confirm it was the right one, "Sekat's personal datapad. This has what we need to find the Shadow Broker."

Liara walked away from the dying Spectre, examining the data. Vasir crawled herself to the wall, looking up to Shepard and Six, "You're dead. The Shadow Broker has been in power for decades. He's stronger than anything you've ever faced!"

Shepard knelt to Vasir, "Is that why you sold out the Council to work for him?"

"You think I betrayed the Council? Like Saren?" Vasir spat blood at Shepard's chestplate, "Go to hell! The Broker's given me damn good intel over the years. Intel that saved lives and kept the Citadel safe! So if the Broker needs a few people to disappear, I'll pay that price without hesitation!"

Shepard always hated thinking of Spectres as just high-class government hitmen, "Spectres don't blow up buildings filled with innocent people!"

"Sure we do. We get our hands dirty so the Council doesn't have to. The councilors might complain about our methods to soothe their consciences, but they never look too closely. Besides, you're with Cerberus. You have any idea what your terrorist friends have done?"

Six had been working with Cerberus since her arrival to this alternate universe, and at first, it all just felt like working for ONI again. The covert nature of the missions, all of it just felt so familiar that she hardly questioned the methodology for a time. That was until they took a step back to really understand what Cerberus was up to.

Six's focus snapped back when she heard Shepard counter Vasir, "I know who they are and what they've done. It doesn't matter."

"I think it does. You want to judge me? Look in the mirror. Kidnapping kids for biotic death camps! Killing Alliance admirals who ask questions! And you're with them. Don't you dare judge me! Don't you…" With her last breath, Vasir finally expired, collapsing onto the ground.

Six checked her vitals to be certain, turning back and looking around at the carnage left behind. Shepard moved to join Liara who had entered the hotel to review Sekat's data. "Cortez, get ready to move. I doubt Liara will want to sit ideal while her lead is hot."

"Thinking it'll be a full-on assault?"

"That'll depend on the base…" Six wasn't sure if what they were doing was any better than her previous works, though eliminating a future problem might be necessary before they're all caught up fighting against the Reapers.

She turned toward the building Shepard and Liara were in. If she wanted, she could ask Dot to tap Shepard's comms to listen to what they were talking about, knowing that this was all just about some petty revenge plot against the Broker, though that also felt wrong to do seeing what they were potentially going to do.
