Here is the second chapter of the Siegfried Arc. Once again you may find things in this chapter that are completely disturbing because of what Siegfried is capable of doing.
Last time, Frogadier went off on his own with Braixen following him to take a dip in the lake. They met Elekid, Magby, and Smoochum. When they return to camp, they see that Ash and Serena are gone and think they have deserted them. Little do they know; it was Shepard who actually dragged them out as he was now taking them to a nearby Pokémon Center for shelter.
After seeing them gone, Munchlax, Seel, and Ponyta joined them. The chapter ended with Frogadier and Braixen finally getting official confirmation that Siegfried was nearby along with a Pidgeot fleeing with her children.
Enjoy the second chapter of this arc, ONCE AGAIN, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK, and I don't own Pokémon in any way possible. If I did, Amourshipping would be canon.
In the forest with all the Pokémon
Fear ran through the souls of Frogadier and Braixen. They looked like they were ready to have a massive heart attack. That was their reaction of knowing Siegfried wasn't just in Kanto, he was in this area. Those nightmares they had were actually a foreshadowing of what was going to happen.
"Siegfried…Siegfried," Frogadier uttered as he was shaken with fear.
These two Pokémon had a feeling they were going to see him one day, but they didn't expect it to be so soon.
"I've take it they've heard of him before," Seel uttered.
Ash and Serena suddenly disappearing was one thing but disappearing when he was here was a whole different story. They promised they weren't going to leave their side, they promised they were going to help stop him together, but now here they were by themselves.
"Siegfried why is he here," Braixen uttered.
"I don't know, but I take it he is not someone to be friends with," Seel responded.
Munchlax turned and looked at Elekid, Magby, and Smoochum with a determined look. Those three Pokémon were his mission.
"Anyway, were out here because we came looking for you three," Munchlax told the three Pokémon.
"You're looking for us?" Elekid questioned.
"Your parents are worried about you. That Siegfried guy is out killing Pokémon while they're scared for your safety," Ponyta explained as her face cringed, "I can't even bare to remember what I saw him do."
Ponyta was on the verge of crying again after thinking about the scene caused by Siegfried. Just killing all of those Pokémon who were just trying to save themselves made her sick to her stomach.
"We got to get back home or else dad is going to freak out," Munchlax said as he then turned to Frogadier and Braixen who felt like their hearts were ripped out and then turn back to Seel, "Should we bring them with?"
"That depends, do you want them to come with us?" Seel asked.
"Seel, all of these Pokémon are in danger with this guy on the loose, and after knowing that their trainers are gone, they have nowhere to go so I say let's bring them with us so they can claim refuge as well," Munchlax explained as he then looked at Frogadier, "And besides, that Pokémon says his trainer is Ash Ketchum, and he might be connected to that Red guy."
Seel gave a glazed look in the eye. Munchlax would love to ask questions about Frogadier's trainer and if he was related to Red in any way, then again if he was then he was giving Red a bad name.
"If he is, it probably might not be in a good way if it's true that he left him behind like this," Seel stated as he then looked at the two Kalos Pokémon, "They can come if they want."
Munchlax nodded his head and then turned over to Frogadier and Braixen.
"Hey, you two," Munchlax called out which got Frogadier's and Braixen's attention, "We can help you with your problem, but for right now you can come with us."
The two Kalos starters looked at the group of Pokémon and then they looked into each other's eyes. Braixen wasn't sure on what they were going to do now, and judging by what Munchlax said, going with them would be their best bet.
"Let's go with them," Braixen told Frogadier.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Frogadier asked.
"Listen, Ash and Serena are gone. Maybe we'll run into them along the way, and besides, if that hunter is around, it would be best to take shelter and then plan our next course of action," Braixen explained.
Frogadier heard what Braixen said and she was right. It probably wouldn't be the best time to confront Siegfried, especially with six other Pokémon in their company right now. Frogadier looked at Braixen's eyes, he never realized how beautiful they were, but they also carried a sense of empathy. Right now, they needed to be safe.
Frogadier then looked over at Munchlax, Seel, and Ponyta. It was time to move forward.
"Lead the way," Frogadier told Munchlax.
"Will do," Munchlax responded giving a salute.
With that, all eight Pokémon left the campsite with Elekid, Magby, Smoochum, and Seel hopping onto Ponyta while Munchlax led the way. Frogadier and Braixen were right behind them as they were now heading for the grotto.
As the two Pokémon look back, they could only realize where Ash and Serena could've gone. While Frogadier and Braixen had to move forward, they just had this feeling deep down that maybe their trainers still cared about them a lot and were hoping they were alright.
The two don't know that this was a total misunderstanding.
Pokémon Center
There was a lone Pokémon Center out in the middle of the wilderness. Shepard was escorting Ash and Serena there on his jeep. As they arrived, Serena could only look back with tears wondering how they couldn't look for Braixen. Ash was gritting his teeth knowing that Frogadier was still out there too.
"You'll stay here until that bastard is out of the region," Shepard told the two.
With that, Ash and Serena hopped out of the jeep with Pikachu and Rotom Dex following them. They were not even in good spirits knowing that those two Pokémon were still out there with Siegfried on the loose.
They walked into the Pokémon Center with a worried looking Nurse Joy. She was even aware of the situation and was prepared for such a crisis.
"Nurse Joy, I found some trainers wondering around with Siegfried running aboard. They'll stay here until he's gone," Shepard told Nurse Joy, "I have my units on the watch for him."
"Most certainly," Nurse Joy said with a nod, "Do they have any Pokémon that may have been attacked by him."
Shepard looked at Ash and Serena with a glazed look in his eye.
"Did you find any Pokémon that were attacked by Siegfried?" Shepard questioned, "And if so, where did you find them?"
Ash walked up to Shepard gritting his teeth. He was upset that Shepard pulled them here without looking for their Pokémon, but he was more upset that he left Frogadier out there with that violent hunter roaming around.
"We didn't find any Pokémon that were attacked because you were too busy dragging us here that you didn't even bother to look," Ash answered with a growl, "Not to mention that we still have two Pokémon out there wondering where we are!"
"Don't talk to a high authority like that, you show some respect for the head ranger you just saved your life!" Shepard yelled, "Not to mention that I clearly told you that those two Pokémon are likely dead in the hands of Siegfried!"
Shepard looked at Ash with disgust. How dare he stick up to him like that, he was starting to remind him of Claude whom he recently dismissed.
"I can have you arrested if you continue to argue with me. Right now, you and that girlfriend of yours are going to stay put while our units continue to look for Siegfried," Shepard told Ash.
Ash had nothing to say. He turned around to see that Serena was crying. It was bad enough Braixen wasn't here, but now this guy was picking a fight with Ash after he pulled them out with even looking for her Pokémon. Shepard did have some high sense of authority judging by his uniform, so maybe he shouldn't argue with him or else things would become worse than they already are.
Ash turned away from Shepard and approached Nurse Joy while unclipping his Pokeballs.
"We'll stay here if you agree to look after our Pokémon," Ash told Nurse Joy as he handed her his Pokeballs.
"Most certainly," Nurse Joy said, "And I'm sorry about your Pokémon."
"It's alright, and thank you," Ash said in a monotone voice.
Nurse Joy wanted to say something to Shepard about his attitude, but figure this would not be a good time with Siegfried running out there. Serena was shaking and crying as she unclipped her Pokeballs and placed them on the counter with Pikachu hopping on as well.
15 minutes later
Serena was sitting on the sofa with her eyes being bloodshot red. She hasn't stopped crying since they left the campsite. She was so scared for Braixen. She looked at the locket that she got on her birthday which showed Ash and Serena smiling holding Froakie and Fennekin right after they hatched.
Her heart was shattered that those Pokémon were missing. That scavenger hunt at Professor Oak's summer camp is what brought her and Ash together. Ash had the kind spirit to help her when she hurt her knee and told her never give up until the end. After she stood up, they would continue the scavenger hunt and win, and got the chance to hold eggs from the Kalos Region which ultimately would hatch in their hands.
Froakie and Fennekin were those two Pokémon that allowed them to get closer, and eventually they became their starters. Serena can recall the few times Fennekin was happy was when she saw or heard of her. While Serena has given herself a chance to create a great connection with all of her Pokémon, Braixen was the one that touched her heart the most.
While Serena considered all of her Pokémon to be her friends, she saw Braixen more than just her friend and her starter, she saw her as a little sister. Braixen held a special place in heart more than any of her other Pokémon put together. The fact that she was missing with Siegfried out there crushed her even more. Could Arceus be getting back her for helping members of Team Rocket when she was really trying to save their lives?
"Braixen," Serena cried as tears were still coming out of her now red eyes.
Ash was looking out the window as he was completely helpless. He didn't bother to watch TV or make a call to home. The only thing he could think about right now was where Frogadier was. While Serena was crying, Ash was technically crying on the inside.
He was so happy to have Serena as his girlfriend, but the reason they were able to get close was because of Frogadier and Braixen. Witnessing those Pokémon hatching was a special moment for them and allowed them to grow close, and it would be even better they actually got them as their starters. He considered Frogadier as a brother since he was an only child and didn't have and other siblings to look up to.
He and Serena worked together to help Frogadier and Braixen get out of their emotionally damaged shells and open up which made him and Serena so happy along with the rest of their Pokémon. Now the fact Frogadier was gone while the man who scarred them before hatching was, around crushed him. Ash wanted to be on Frogadier's side for that moment, but now that feels like it won't be the case.
The only thing he could do was sit and wait as he didn't want to cause any more problems. Ash turned to Serena who was still shaking and crying over what has happened.
"You should try and comfort her Ash," Rotom Dex suggested.
Ash turned around to see Rotom Dex and Pikachu. The floating Pokedex was right, he was her boyfriend and he needed to comfort her. Ash then got up and sat down next to Serena and put her hand on back.
"Serena," Ash said.
Serena looked at Ash who was still crying. Serena was wondering why Ash wasn't crying like she was.
"Listen, you shouldn't completely break down like this. I know it's scary, but we have to be strong," Ash told Serena.
"Why are you saying that and not feeling upset?! Do you even care about Frogadier!?" Serena angrily questioned.
"What, of course I do," Ash answered, "It's just that you've completely broken down feeling hopeless."
"Braixen isn't just one of my Pokémon, I see her as a little sister," Serena cried, "You're not feeling upset right now."
"Serena, I am upset and scared about Frogadier, but I'm doing what I can to stay strong. I'm actually crying on the inside though," Ash told Serena, "But I'm sure he is still alive."
"What if they're dead," Serena muttered.
Ash gave Serena a stern look in the eyes. How could Serena think that her own Pokémon were dead.
"That man said they're dead," Serena uttered
"Our Pokémon are dead once we see their dead bodies. Until then, I'm not giving up hope that they're alive, and you shouldn't either. Remember, never give up until the end," Ash told Serena.
Serena was feeling completely upset that she forgot about that motto. She shouldn't sit there helpless. She needed to believe that Braixen and Frogadier were alright.
"I just hope they're alive, because if they aren't, then this could be utter karma," Serena muttered until she let out a huge gasp.
The emotional toll for Serena was so high that she wasn't thinking straight. While scared for Braixen, she wasn't acting strong like Ash told her to and said something she should've never said.
Ash was looking confused when he was looking at Serena. What did she mean my utter karma?
"Utter karma?" Ash questioned, "What are you talking about?"
"It's nothing," Serena lied.
Things have taken a total extreme for Serena, now she mentioned something about karma. Ash suddenly caught that she was lying.
"Serena, did you do something that I don't know about?" Ash questioned, "I'm already freaking out about our Pokémon, but now I may have learned you did something that I'm not aware of."
Serena had more tears coming from her eyes. She didn't want Ash to know what she did back in Lavender Town.
"Serena, you can tell me," Ash said assuring Serena in a stern tone.
Serena was having a hard time looking at Ash. How was she going to explain this to him? She loves him and hearing this would be a sense of betrayal.
"I say that our Pokémon being out there without us when Siegfried is around is utter karma for what I did in Lavender Town," Serena said as she was about to confess her sin, "I technically was ambushed by Team Rocket, but they didn't take the Pokémon from me…I…I…ended up giving the ghost Pokémon to them."
Ash's eyes widened when he heard that. Maybe Serena felt like she was weak and surrendered the Pokémon without any opposition. Rotom Dex was looking on a bit confused, did she really help Team Rocket.
"Listen, I saw Jessie, James, and Meowth and they knew that their superiors were going to kill them because of their failures. I for one noticed during the times we were with them, most notably the S.S. Anne escape that there may be some good in them. While they were criminals, I didn't think they should die so I gave them the ghost Pokémon we were going to turn in on my own free will and have them take the credit so that maybe they could live," Serena explained.
Just as Serena expected, Ash was feeling a sense of betrayal. She gave those Pokémon that she was supposed to turn over to the police to Team Rocket, she just helped a terrorist organization in potentially furthering their goals.
"I said it was karma because I ended up helping people who worked for a criminal organization," Serena confessed.
Ash immediately backed away from Serena as he didn't want to be near her after hearing that. How could she help Team Rocket?!
"I don't believe it," Ash uttered in fear, "You helped our greatest enemies."
"Ash I'm sorry, I was feeling horrible for those three. I'd figure they would get killed if nothing was done," Serena cried.
"You could've had your Pokémon subdue them and bring them to the police, and you could've had the officers arrange them to go to a prison that consist none of the rockets!" Ash hollered.
"That's exactly what I was going to consider to them, but they feel the police will be faulty and end up sending them to a prison with an arrested rocket where they could kill them!" Serena cried.
"It doesn't matter, when you commit a crime you should go to jail and pay your debts to society! No prisoner should be getting their way in jail because they're getting punished!" Ash shouted.
Serena was now crying even more. She wanted to run up to Ash and hug her and tell her so much she was sorry, but Ash wasn't going to let her.
"Stay away from me," Ash told Serena.
This was the angriest Ash has ever been in his life. He has been angry with Team Rocket when it came to their crimes and nearly murdering his mom, he has been angry with Gary with how he treated him over the years, he has been angry with how Shepard was handling the situation with their Pokémon presuming they were dead, but this was where Ash's heart was ripped out.
He was beyond angry that his girlfriend, the girl he loved, assisted Team Rocket.
"This has been the worst day of my life! First this ranger drags us to the Pokémon Center forcing me to leave Frogadier behind, then I learn that the hunter who scarred him is running around here, then I'm told to stay here and do nothing while that ranger considers my Pokémon dead, now I have heard that you, my girlfriend, helped Team Rocket in Lavender Town where you rather feeling sorry for those criminals than bring justice to them!" Ash yelled.
Serena was now extremely hurt. She really did betray Ash. It was hard, but now Serena truly regretted what she just did. Rotom Dex was looking at Serena with disappointment in its eyes, or on its screen.
"I'm going to my room, I'm not talking to you right now," Ash growled.
Ash walked away, opened the door to his room, walked in and closed it. He was now out of sight. Serena closed her locket and laid face first on the sofa with her hat falling off. She not only lost Braixen, she may have lost Ash too. Rotom Dex floated over towards Serena with a concerned look on its face.
"Serena," Rotom Dex calmly said.
"Ash hates me," Serena cried with a muffled voice.
"Don't say that, deep down I'm sure she doesn't hate you. Just give him some time," Rotom Dex told Serena as it rubbed its arm on her cheek.
Serena knew she did wrong, and like she said, karma came at her in the form of her Braixen being left out in the wilderness with Siegfried running around.
She did hope maybe Ash would come through.
Out in the forest
The rangers were out on the scene of what has just happened. There were tons of Pokémon carnage on the ground from things such as blown off heads, decapitated limbs, and carnage that had bite marks meaning they were probably being eaten.
Pedansky was disgusted with what he saw. How could one person be capable of doing something so evil. These were just innocent creatures and they died for no reason.
"I don't who the hell his parents were, but they need to be locked up for raising him to be someone like this," Pedansky said in disgust.
"Pedansky, we found three more," one of the rangers called out as he pointed to three more dead Pokémon.
"And that makes 34 dead Pokémon so far," Pedansky responded.
Pedansky could see how all of the rangers could only get out body bags for these Pokémon. There barely were any Pokémon who were still alive. If Claude were still here, he would take his time to get all the Pokémon to a safe place, even if it wasn't his assigned area.
As they continued to investigate, a large orange Pokémon with a cream belly and a big snout descended down. It was a Dragonite, one of the rarest Pokémon in the world. The rangers looked up and were completely horrified. What was a rare Pokémon like that doing here with Siegfried present!? If he saw that Pokémon, he would find joy in killing that Pokémon too.
However, the horrified looks went away when they saw a man on the Dragonite. He jumped off and revealed himself to have spiky red hair and wore a dark blue uniform with orange lining, a black belt, black boots, and a red and black cape. This was Lance of the Kanto Elite Four.
"Is that…Lance?" a ranger questioned.
"Who called the Elite Four over here?" Pedansky questioned.
Lance was looking at the scene. His serious look went away as soon as he all the dead bodies. Lance balled his hands up into fists and was about to cry.
"What kind of human being would do this," Lance cried in a whisper.
Pedansky was watching Lance as he cried. Everyone knew that Lance loved Pokémon, especially dragon types which he specializes in. Seeing something like this really ripped his heart into pieces. Dragonite was feeling no better as he was shaking violently and was ready to vomit and cry at the same time.
Pedansky wasn't sure what he should do. He carried a high honor within the Pokémon League, but should he speak to him in the state he is in right now? The only way he could know was to approach the Elite Four member himself.
"Excuse me, are you Lance of the Elite Four?" Pedansky questioned.
Lance turned around to see Pedansky looking at him. He wiped his tears and started to act professional as possible.
"Sorry about that," Lance muffled as he dried his eyes, "Yes, I am."
"Lance, it's an honor to meet you," Pedansky responded as he took off his hat and gave a bow, "Sorry about that, I know this isn't the proper place and time."
"It's okay. I was just…upset with what I saw," said Lance.
"You mean these dead Pokémon," Pedansky said.
"Yeah, you see while I'm a member of the Kanto Elite Four, I also serve as a high ranked member of the Pokémon G-men," Lance explained.
"Pokémon G-men?" Pedansky questioned.
"Yes, a government operation that goes throughout the world trying to help troubled Pokémon or anyone committing foul play with Pokémon or on Pokémon," Lance explained, "I was called for an assignment here regarding the barbarian hunter Siegfried saying that he just came from Sinnoh and was likely heading this way."
"Well guess what, his sorry ass is here," Pedansky stated.
What Lance said was true. He was called about Siegfried from a group of rangers in the Sinnoh Region warning him that he may be coming their way. He took time to make sure Fuchsia City was well protected in case Siegfried were to make his way into the city. Not to mention the Safari Zone was there as well.
"I can't believe that someone like this has been around for so many years and nobody did anything to him," Lance uttered, "It just makes me so angry."
"Well it's great that we have a member of the G-men here," Pedansky responded as he remembered something, "You know there was someone who used to work for us, but he recently got fired for going against our boss's orders. But I know if he were to meet you, he be thrilled not only because you're an Elite Four member, but also the way you help Pokémon."
Pedansky of course was talking about Claude. Lance was figuring out why someone who might be like him could go against their boss. Wait, this wasn't the time, there would be plenty of opportunities to help. Right now, their number one priority is tracking down Siegfried.
"Maybe I'll have a chance to see him sometime," Lance said as he got down to business, "But right now, we need to know where Siegfried could be right now."
"Well we don't know, but if hear any Pokémon screams, then we may know where he is," Pedansky told Lance.
Lance nodded his head. He didn't anymore Pokémon to be killed, but that was unlikely as more would be killed during this time. The only he and the rangers can do is prevent that death count from going up.
"Alright, let's go," Lance ordered.
"Great, with your help we can cover more ground," Pedansky said with great confidence, "Oh and one more thing, try not to be high up with Dragonite because if Siegfried finds a big Pokémon like Dragonite in the sky, he will waste no time shooting it down."
Pedansky made a good point. Lance would need to look on Dragonite, but he did not want to put himself and Dragonite in danger of Siegfried firing a round from his machine gun at him.
"Smart thinking…I never got your name," Lance replied.
"Pedansky," Pedansky responded giving a salute.
"Pedansky right," Lance confirmed, "Me and Dragonite will not go too high up."
"Thank you," Pedanksy responded.
With that, the rangers, Pedansky, and Lance were off to look for Siegfried.
Up in the air
About an hour ago, a Pidgeot and her babies escaped from Siegfried and now they were taking the skies figuring out where to go. He took away their home and killed anyone who was nearby. The worst part however, this flock lost a mate and a father.
"Mommy, where are we going?" one of the babies asked worried.
All Pidgeot could do was look forward. While the pain of losing her mate was still there, she needed to get far away from that place as possible. Then Pidgeot could spot civilization just out in the distance. There were plenty of buildings that had a Japanese theme to them, and a big open field with many exotic Pokémon. This was Fuchsia City.
"I know it isn't like our home, but maybe we can stay there until I figure out what we'll do," Pidgeot told her babies.
Pidgeot knew that she and the other Pidgey were getting tired, so touching down in Fuchsia City was their best bet.
Back with the rest of the Pokémon
With Munchlax, Seel, and Ponyta leading the way, all of the Pokémon were making their way to the grotto. Frogadier remained in front of Elekid, Magby, and Smoochum while Braixen remained behind them in case of an ambush. Despite what just happened, Frogadier and Braixen had to step up and make sure everyone was safe. Right now, it was a fight for their survival.
"How much further?" Frogadier asked.
"We should be coming up to a ledge where there will be a log that can take us up," Seel answered as he turned back towards the three baby Pokémon, "Those three Pokémon helped us find it one day when a ranger was after us."
"A ranger was after you?" Braixen questioned.
Munchlax grimaced as Seel brought that up. While all of the other Pokémon knew about it, maybe it was proper to share it with the two Kalos starters. After all they might actually be stronger due to the fact they were the only evolved Pokémon with them.
"Yeah, a ranger in this area found me and tried to kill me because he thought I was part of that group called Team Rocket," Munchlax explained.
"You mean the group of criminals who commit dastardly crimes throughout the Kanto Region for their own needs?" Frogadier questioned.
All three Pokémon looked at Frogadier with shock. He knew of Team Rocket.
"You've heard of Team Rocket?" Munchlax asked in shock.
"Not only have we heard of them, we've encountered and went up against them," Frogadier answered.
Munchlax was surprised to hear what Frogadier said. It was one thing knowing that he a Pokémon that belonged to Red's son, but the fact that we danced with Team Rocket and lived was a whole another thing.
"And not just once, I say about nine times," Braixen stated.
"Really," Seel said.
"What was it like?" Munchlax asked.
Frogadier and Braixen could see that all of the Pokémon were looking them. They learned that they actually had experience with Team Rocket. Frogadier and Braixen thought they could tell their stories about them.
20 minutes later
They were nearing the ledge and so far there was no signs of Siegfried or and other signs of danger. As they were walking Frogadier and Braixen told them about their encounters with Team Rocket from when they attacked the Viridian City Pokémon Center, getting ambushed at Mt. Moon and on the S.S. Anne, how they raided their casino and how their trainers protected their mothers which also lead to both of them evolving, their encounter with them in Lavender Town, and most recently the Kanto Power Plant, but they left out the part where they met Zapdos.
The one tale of Team Rocket that caught Munchlax's and Seel's attention the most was Lavender Town as they murdered a Pokémon.
"Wow, you guys really help pack a punch against Team Rocket, especially since they're an infamous organization," Seel said.
"Well, what they do is horrible. We fought them so they get punished for what they're doing, and honestly it helps us both," Braixen stated.
"Yeah, and what made these battles even better is when we have Ash and Serena on our side," Frogadier told them, "After what they've done for us and taking the time to help us open up, the least we could do is help them fight for what's right."
Frogadier then reflected on those words. He and Ash really were a great team when they fought together. Ash even risked his life to raid Team Rocket's casino and rescue him and Braixen back when they were Froakie and Fennekin. Froakie was so grateful of Ash's actions and how much he cared about him that he returned the favor that night by evolving into the Frogadier he was today and help take down Archer's Crobat after Ash went down from Crobat's Cross Poison.
Braixen even started to think the same thing as Serena was even there to save her. And when Serena and her moms were in a complete loss with the rockets and their guns, she ended up using a powerful psychic attack to destroy the guns causing the rockets to use to attack with their Pokémon instead. Once Braixen back as Fennekin could see that her and the other Pokémon were being completely outnumbered and somewhat outclassed, she evolved into Braixen and helped take down the rest of the rockets Pokémon.
Frogadier and Braixen were now thinking to themselves, after all of those sacrifices that Ash and Serena have made for them and their Pokémon, did they really think they would just leave them here in the wilderness with Siegfried around. No, maybe it's coming to their senses that something may have happened.
"You guys really come through for your trainers," said Munchlax.
"Yeah," Braixen responded, "And really tend to beat ourselves down if we don't."
"We really care about them after they helped build us up," Frogadier said as he paused for a moment, "And I have a feeling they really care for us despite these circumstances."
Munchlax smiled at what Frogadier and Braixen were talking about. His dad told him that if he should ever be with a Pokémon trainer, he hopes he as good a of a person as Red. Hearing about this Ash and how Red was his father, he was amazed that he took after his father.
"You guys are lucky that not only you have a great trainer in this Ash guy, but also the fact that they've taken on Team Rocket," Munchlax said, "Especially with what my dad told me on how Team Rocket affected our lives."
"Wait, you dealt with Team Rocket before?" Braixen questioned.
"No, but his dad has," Seel confirmed, "You see his father and his mother conceived an egg which contained the Munchlax you see here, but then his parents had a bad run in with Team Rocket."
"Tell me what happened," Braixen responded as she was curious.
"Well his father and mother were wondering around the mountains when all of a sudden they get confronted by two of these two rockets. They actually wanted to capture them for their own needs, and they even spotted the egg," Seel explained.
Munchlax was beginning to frown. He remembers his father telling him the story about his encounter with Team Rocket before he hatched.
"Munchlax's father tried to fight the rockets while his mother was trying to protect the egg. However his father began to struggle and when he was weakened, his mother jumped in to take his place with his dad taking the egg and running," Seel explained as he then had a grim look on his face, "And then as Munchlax's dad looks back, he ended up seeing his mother being slayed to death by those horrible rockets."
Frogadier, Braixen, Elekid, Magby, and Smoochum were all starting to feel heartbroken. So, these horrible Team Rocket took away Munchlax's mother because they wouldn't cooperate with a group like Team Rocket.
"After that day, Snorlax vowed to do what he can to be the best father he can be for Munchlax," Seel explained as he looked at Munchlax, "He even opened his heart out to let other Pokémon in need to live with him so he can have more a reason to be strong. That's why we always look up to Munchlax's dad."
Munchlax's frown turned into a smile and then he looked at
"You can thank that Red Ketchum because if it weren't for him, by dad wouldn't be alive today," Munchlax said.
Frogadier was a little caught off right there. Did this Munchlax know Ash's father?
"Red Ketchum?" Frogadier questioned.
"Yeah, my dad even told me a story that my dad's dad, my grandpa, who was also a Snorlax, had a man named Red Ketchum as his trainer. He told us how big of a heart Red has and how much he loved and cared for Pokémon; he even helped my grandpa meet my grandma. They fell in love, created an egg that would consist of my dad and then my grandparents and Red even agreed that when he grew up, they would let him go and eventually he would meet my mother," Munchlax explained trying his best to tell the story about his father's existence.
Frogadier took the time to think that through. Was it true this Munchlax and his dad existed because of Ash's father? Frogadier could remember all the bad things Ash said about his dad and even to the point saying he hated him. Maybe he only said that because he wasn't around the past couple of years.
The chatter would stop once they heard something. Everyone paused and wondered what it could be. They listened and heard that it was screaming.
"What is that?" Magby asked.
"I don't know," Seel uttered as he looked to the left, "I think it's coming from this direction."
Everybody stayed in their place as Seel hopped over to the bushes to investigate where that screaming was coming from. What Seel saw caused his eyes to water in complete horror.
It was Siegfried with a Doduo. Siegfried used a knife to behead one of the Doduo's head and then proceeded to beat the other Doduo head to death with the head he just cut off.
Seel looked around and saw that there were more Pokémon lying motionless on the ground with blood and guts coming out of them. Seel then turned around with horror and looked at everyone with a nervous expression.
"Everyone, I see Siegfried," Seel nervously said.
Frogadier and Braixen started to harden up as soon as they heard that. Munchlax and Ponyta stood there in total shock to know that he was there. Smoochum and Magby looked confused while Elekid went into the direction of Seel and headed for the bushes.
"Elekid no," Seel said with fear.
Elekid peeked through the bushes and saw Siegfried. He finished beating the Doduo to death and started twirling the severed Doduo head around like some sort of rally towel and booging.
"Is this Siegfried guy the big bald man with sunglasses?" Elekid asked.
"Yes, now get back," Seel said panicking.
Siegfried stopped the twirling when he heard rustling sounds. He looked over and saw Elekid peeking through the bushes. Siegfried smirked and chuckled menacingly while pounding his fists. All of the Pokémon gasped when they noticed Siegfried saw Elekid. Frogadier and Braixen looked like they were ready to have another panic attack.
"Time for you to die," Siegfried uttered.
"Run everyone!" Seel cried.
Seel started to get into his belt and whipped out a rope. He grappled it at a tree branch while Munchlax got Magby and Smoochum onto Ponyta. Elekid stood there completely frozen in fear. Without looking back, Ponyta galloped off while with everyone while Seel swung through the trees like crazy.
Siegfried was approaching his jeep and pulling out what appeared to be an AK-47 assault rifle. He walked up to the terrified Elekid holding the weapon in his hands. Siegfried would want to shoot him up right away, but he wanted his parents to watch.
"Want to know what Pokémon hell is like, I'll give you a closer look," Siegfried said.
Elekid backed off and pointed the gun at the Electric Pokémon. Frogadier and Braixen were standing there sweating and ready to scream bloody murder. Before Siegfried could pull the trigger, he laid eyes on what was behind him.
Siegfried saw Frogadier and Braixen standing there ready to freak out. Siegfried smirked at the two Pokémon and appeared ready to kill them.
"He coming for us," Frogadier said shakingly.
The two Kalos Pokémon were looking at him. They had images of him killing them in nightmares, they saw his picture, now here he was. The thing that killed their mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters. It was their first time ever seeing the hunter in person.
"This is a treat, I get to kill foreign Pokémon," said Siegfried as he now held his gun horizontally making it act like a club.
Just as they expected, Siegfried was coming for them. Both of the Pokémon just stood there frozen as this guy was as frightening in real life as he was in their nightmares. They looked around and saw Elekid sitting there in fear as he was going to die. Everybody went off forward and Siegfried wasn't looking.
Then their heads suddenly clicked.
This was not the time to be scared. He was finally here, and now that they he's here, there can't be anything worse. They're looking at Elekid as he was all alone as his friends ran away without him. If anything happened to him, there would be no way he could defend himself.
"This is not the time to be scared," Braixen uttered.
In the blink of an eye, Braixen shot off a Psybeam right at Siegfried's arm. Siegfried was caught by surprise as he grimaced. He was a very strong and powerful man and that didn't inflict on him, but it did catch him off guard.
"Fuck!" Siegfried shrieked.
"Frogadier use your Smokescreen so we can run!" Braixen retorted.
Hearing Braixen's voice made him realize that they need to get away and protect Elekid. Frogadier unleashed a Smokescreen attack to cover up the spot. Siegfried was caught in the smoke, but thanks to his sunglasses, he was not covering his eyes and he could potentially see through.
The Bubble Frog Pokémon dashed off and grabbed Elekid. He and Braixen ran off leaving Siegfried behind.
Siegfried growled with anger and recklessly shot forward in hopes of hitting one of the Pokémon. While Frogadier was a fast Pokémon, he was acceptingly slower due to carrying Elekid.
"Thanks for saving me," Elekid said gratefully.
"Trust me, we're scared as much as you, but we don't have time to be scared. We just need to make sure you're safe," Frogadier told Elekid.
They could still hear the sounds of gunfire. Braixen looked back and saw Siegfried marching closer like he was some sort of empire soldier.
"Guys keep going," Braixen called out, "I'll see if I can get rid of that gun."
Frogadier kept running with Elekid and Braixen was in a battle stance as she started to concentrate her mind.
"What are you doing, committing suicide?" Siegfried questioned as he got his gun ready.
Braixen was using her mind to try and duplicate what she did in the casino when she, Serena, Grace, and Jade were surrounded by the rockets. Braixen's eyes glowed blue and she concentrated on the guns, but something was going on.
The gun wouldn't budge.
"Hahaha, you can't get this gun out of my hands," Siegfried snickered, "Before I started killing Pokémon, I made every part of my body super fucking strong by constantly working out ad injecting myself with a lot of steroids for energy. I busted my body to become stronger than a Rhydon made of the hardest diamonds known to man. I can even break out of cuffs so if the police force arrest me, I can break free and continue to do whatever the hell I want."
What! This man is inhuman, not only does he murder Pokémon, but he prepared himself to become super strong and not end up behind bars. Braixen's psychic attacks were not working, was she weak?
"Tell you what, before I waste you, I'll give you once chance to hit me with everything you got. I mean everything, not a fraction, not a bunch, everything," Siegfried ordered.
Braixen stood there looking confused now. Did Siegfried really want Braixen to attack him? He must have some retaliation attack coming her way. Either way, Braixen was going to be on her guard.
Braixen raised her stick and unleashed the most powerful Flamethrower she could muster. Siegfried stood his ground and took the Flamethrower. Why wasn't he moving. As soon as Braixen stopped, she saw something that horrified her. Siegfried was still standing with that menacing smirk on his face. This guy was truly not human.
"What did I tell you about making myself strong. Not even that sad excuse of a Flamethrower will bring me down," Siegfried uttered as he adjusted his gun, "So what will be, leg, arm, eye, or head!"
With little time to react, Braixen unleashed a Fire Spin at Siegfried. If that attack wasn't going to hurt him, it would at least slow him down to give Braixen enough time to escape. Siegfried was growling as he was caught in the vortex. Even though he wasn't getting hurt, it still was annoying and Braixen was able to get away.
1 minute later
Ponyta was still galloping as Seel was still swinging. They finally made it to the ridge with and located the log that would help ascend them up. Before they began going up. all of the Pokémon finally turned around and to their horror, they saw that Elekid and the two Kalos Pokémon were nowhere to be found.
"Do you think that hunter got them?" Munchlax asked in worry.
"I think so," Ponyta answered with fear.
"Elekid, no" Smoochum muttered.
Magby and Smoochum couldn't help but feel heartbroken. That Elekid was their best friend and a vital member of their trio. Without him, they feel incomplete.
The sadness didn't last long when they saw two figures approaching them. It was Frogadier carrying Elekid in his arms running as fast as he could. Frogadier looked forward in amazement as he saw the other Pokémon.
"Looks like we caught up with everyone," Frogadier said.
As soon as the two Pokémon got close to the group, Frogadier used his strength to throw Elekid onto Ponyta. It was a perfect landing as Elekid was able to join the other three Pokémon.
"Elekid, you're okay!" Smoochum cried as she hugged him.
"We were worried about you!" Magby cried as he hugged him too.
While the two Pokémon were relieved that their friend was alright, there still was a troubling sense. Braixen was not with them while Frogadier stood there trying to catch his breath as he used up so much energy carrying Elekid and throwing him onto Ponyta.
"Where's the other Pokémon?" Seel asked as he was hanging from a tree on his rope.
Frogadier looked down in despair. Braixen was left behind so she could hold off Siegfried. Chances are she was killed in the confrontation. Now Frogadier was all alone. He didn't have Ash and now he didn't even have Braixen.
"She was trying to hold off Siegfried," Frogadier muttered.
All of the Pokémon looked heartbroken. Was it true that Braixen died over there?
"Is she…" Magby trailed until they heard something.
There were more gunshots coming, and they were coming closer. That sounded like Siegfried was close. As they looked forward, everyone saw Braixen running towards them.
"Braixen," Frogadier uttered.
Braixen has a mortified look on her face. She tried fighting Siegfried herself, and everything she did was futile. It was like Siegfried was some sort of superhuman.
"I don't know what this thing eats or takes or what it's made of, but he's so strong that my psychic attacks couldn't budge the gun out of his hands or dissolve it into dust," Braixen muttered, "This guy is horribly powerful."
"How did you get away?" Frogadier asked.
"I used a Fire Spin on him to at least block his view for a little while, just enough time for me to escape," Braixen answered.
Then the gunshot roared back. They could look out into the distance that Siegfried was marching over just shooting randomly over hoping to either hit Braixen or just get lucky and kill more Pokémon.
Everyone looked ahead and saw Siegfried was coming closer. There was no time to waste. Ponyta immediately ascended up the log with Braixen and Frogadier waiting. Seel was able to grapple himself up and all of the Pokémon made a run for it. Frogadier was about to move, but he was too exhausted from running. This was a bad sign.
"Now how should I kill you," Siegfried said with a whole lot of venom in his voice.
As Ponyta continued to gallop, all of the Pokémon looked back to see that neither Kalos starter were to be in sight yet again.
"Do you think they'll be alright?" Munchlax asked worried.
"We don't have time, right now we have to get back," Seel told everyone, "And besides, we can't risk him finding our grotto…so maybe those two Pokémon being left behind to distract him may be a good thing."
What Seel said was pretty grim. While they hate for those Pokémon to be killed, they can consider it a sacrifice in order for everyone to return safely and be safe.
Frogadier and Braixen were now completely frozen in place. There was no way both of them could save themselves. This may be it for the two Pokémon, but at least they would go out together.
However, Braixen was trying to keep a clear head. She knew that she couldn't do anything to Siegfried, but maybe there was a way to help them both. She looked over at the log that the Pokémon just went up and then back at Siegfried. Braixen then grabbed Frogadier and looked at him in the eyes.
"Stay here," Braixen told Frogadier.
"But…why," Frogadier uttered until Braixen interrupted him.
"I said stay here," Braixen ordered.
As soon as Siegfried was ready to attack, Braixen fired a Flamethrower right at Siegfried's face. As soon as the attack was finished, Braixen made a dash up the log leaving Frogadier behind. Frogadier looked completely frightened as he saw Braixen run away without him. However, Braixen got a bit of a distance away from the edge but was right behind Frogadier. As expected, Siegfried wasn't fazed by the attack. It completely shocks her that he wasn't burned in any way, but at least he lost sight of them for a moment. Then as Siegfried got a view again, he noticed Braixen's absence and got furious once more.
Frogadier wasn't sure what Braixen was even thinking leaving him behind like this ready to be killed by this psychopath. Frogadier always liked Braixen since they hatched, and he could tell Braixen fells the same way for him. But why would she leave him there to be killed.
Right before Siegfried pulled the trigger, Braixen engulfed Frogadier into a blue aura and sent him flying into the air, above Braixen, and then land about fifteen yards behind Braixen. Siegfried fired the gun and he blasted at nothing. The psychopathic hunter gritted his teeth as he saw the Pokémon just disappear in front of him.
"What the hell," Siegfried responded.
Siegfried was angry that someone intervened with him killing a Pokémon. Well it was about damn time somebody did that to him. Braixen turned around and saw Frogadier, she immediately dashed over to his side.
"Braixen," Frogadier said in belief.
"I was not going to leave you behind," Braixen told Frogadier as she gave him a hug, "Since my psychic attacks couldn't hurt Siegfried, I'd figure I use them on you to get you away from him. I needed to get a safe distance so we can both escape."
Frogadier heard what Braixen said. The Fox Pokémon really cared about him all along. They always had each other's backs since they hatched. Frogadier just felt touched that not only she saved his life once, but twice from that evil man.
"Thanks, Braixen," Frogadier said as he was at a loss of words, "I…"
Siegfried was stomping and cursing as he was angry for their escape.
"We need to get going," Braixen told Frogadier.
"Right," Frogadier responded.
Braixen helped Frogadier up, and then held his hand as she pulled him down through the thicket of trees. They were able to lose Siegfried for now. They don't know what their next plan of action was, but right now they needed to just catch up with those Pokémon.
3 minutes later
All of the Pokémon arrived at the big tree safely. There was no sign of Siegfried or Frogadier and Braixen. Munchlax, Elekid, Magby, and Smoochum all hopped off of Ponyta. Seel landed on the ground safely. Everybody looked back and sighed, but they didn't have time to possibly grieve. Before anybody could go in, they noticed something out in the distance.
"Hey, is that," Munchlax said with a hint of joy.
Braixen was running and dragging Frogadier. They smiled as they saw that they caught up to the Pokémon.
"They made it," Ponyta happily said.
Munchlax and Seel were very thankful. The two of them and Ponyta were out looking for Elekid, Magby, and Smoochum. They found them and brought them back to safety with two other Pokémon as well. They all could hang in the grotto until Siegfried was gone.
"We were worried that you weren't going to make it," Munchlax said.
"Well you can thank Braixen, she used that head of hers to help us get away," Frogadier said complementing Braixen.
"Now's not the time to be happy, we have to get in quickly," Seel ordered.
With that being said, the three kid Pokémon and Munchlax went in first, then it was Ponyta, followed by Frogadier, and then Braixen. Once everyone was inside, Seel took a quick look around to see if anyone was around. Thank Arceus no one was here. He went inside and camouflaged the entrance.
Inside the grotto
All of the Pokémon heard something. It sounded like someone coming in. This definitely drew Snorlax's attention.
"Who's there?" Snorlax questioned.
Snorlax feared that whatever danger was around made its way inside. Kadabra was able to see who it was, and it surprised him that it was Munchlax and Seel with a group of Pokémon.
"It seems to be your son and Seel, along with an Elekid, Magby, Smoochum, Ponyta, and whatever those two Pokémon are," Kadabra answered.
Snorlax was surprised to hear his son Munchlax was coming inside. But why were him and Seel out of the grotto when everyone was told to stay inside. His answers came when the Pokémon came into view.
Munchlax and Seel came forward with the three kid Pokémon and the two-middle stage Kalos Pokémon. Rapidash was in total shock to see her daughter was outside. However, three other Pokémon, an Electabuzz, Magmar, and Jynx all recognized those Pokémon and felt tears of joy.
"My baby!" Electabuzz cried.
Electabuzz along with Magmar and Jynx all ran over to their kids with Rapidash right behind them. Munchlax, Seel, and Ponyta got out of the way so their parents could reunite with their kids. Electabuzz gave Elekid the biggest hug possible while crying tears of joy.
"I'm so glad you're okay!" Magmar cried as she hugged Magby.
"You got me worried!" Jynx cried as she hugged Smoochum.
Ponyta then saw that her mother Rapidash was walking over towards Ponyta. The mother gave her a rub on the head to indicate a hug and then gave a stern look.
"What were you doing out of here when we were told to stay inside," Rapidash questioned as she was trying to fight tears.
"I'm sorry mom," Ponyta muttered as she looked over to the kids, "It's just."
Munchlax then interrupted her as he made his way towards Ponyta and Rapidash. Snorlax was completely surprised as he didn't even notice Munchlax was out of the grotto. He had some explaining to do along with Seel.
"Allow me to explain," Munchlax announced as he looked at the Pokémon.
"You better have an explanation, because I didn't even know you were gone," said Snorlax.
Munchlax took a deep breath and look over at the Pokémon and then back at his dad.
"You see when I saw those Pokémon crying because of their children not being in here, I just couldn't stand seeing them in their broken states. I decided to actually take my chances outside to look for them," Munchlax explained.
"That's right, and me and Ponyta came over to accompany them so he wouldn't be alone," Seel stated.
While Snorlax wasn't happy about his son sneaking out with a potential crisis, he was somewhat pleased that he did take after him in some way.
"And it was when we were out there where we met these two Pokémon," Munchlax stated as he gestured to Frogadier and Braixen, "Frogadier, Braixen, this is my dad Snorlax. He looks out after all the Pokémon here in the grotto."
Everybody was now looking at Frogadier and Braixen as they approached Snorlax. The two looked pretty nervous when approaching the Sleeping Pokémon. A Snorlax was intended to be a big sleeper, but this one clearly wasn't a huge sleeper.
"Frogadier and Braixen came to our aid and helped protect us against Siegfried," Seel told Snorlax.
"Siegfried?" Snorlax questioned.
"That's the name of the person who's out there terrorizing and killing Pokémon," Munchlax stated.
So now everyone has heard the name of the person who is out killing Pokémon. Snorlax could only wonder what they were thinking when someone like that was out there.
"So, Siegfried is the evil being who I sense has come to our home grounds," Kadabra muttered.
"He is, he ended up killing lots of Pokémon in ways I don't even want to mention," Munchlax uttered.
All of those Pokémon can remember seeing him in how he shot, beat up, and decapitated those poor Pokémon to death. Seel then turned over to Frogadier and Braixen once more.
"Snorlax if it weren't for these two Pokémon, none of us would have back here alive," Seel addressed, "They were able to ward off Siegfried for the time being just so we can escape."
"It's true," Braixen addressed as she came forward, "I was able to fend off Siegfried giving us the opportunity to get away and Frogadier was able to help carry Elekid to safety."
Snorlax looked down at the two Pokémon and can't help but be thankful. So, his son and those other Pokémon were still alive because of them. Snorlax then spoke and smiled at the two Pokémon.
"I thank you both for having my son come back safely from that awful man," Siegfried praised.
"Thing, I'm not calling it a man," Frogadier addressed.
"Understood," Snorlax replied, "Now, I don't know what you two were doing at the time, but I would advise you both stay here for the time being."
Frogadier and Braixen looked up at Snorlax. He was insisting that they stay with all of these Pokémon. Well it would be the best bet to stay safe, and once this is over, they can possibly look for Ash and Serena. Despite suddenly disappearing, the two Pokémon have a gut feeling that they do care for their safety. If they do find them, they hope to get answers from them.
As the two Kalos Pokémon looked around, they could see that all of these Pokémon were peaceful and loving. They almost looked like a huge family. Kind of what they had with Ash, Serena, Pikachu, Rotom Dex, and the rest of their Pokémon. Not to mention that since they have been trained Pokémon, they could try and help protect the Pokémon if Siegfried were to ever find this place.
"We would be honored," Frogadier honorably said, "Especially after we got separated from our trainers."
"And if trouble erupts here, we will aid you as we have proven to be strong Pokémon," Braixen stated.
"I'm very grateful for that, we need all the help we can get if the worst-case scenario would to occur," Snorlax said, "And hopefully when it becomes safe, you can go out looking for your trainers."
Munchlax then ran over to Frogadier and grabbed his hand. He wanted to hear so much more about this Ash Ketchum and the adventures he had with him.
"Hey if don't mind, we like to hear all of your adventures," Munchlax announced.
"What?" Frogadier questioned.
"Oh sorry, I didn't break the ice yet," Munchlax said excitedly as he looked at his dad, "Dad, this Frogadier's trainer is none other than the son of Red Ketchum, whose name I heard is Ash."
Snorlax smiled when he heard that. So, this Frogadier belonged to Red's son Ash. What were the odds that he would be meeting a Pokémon whose trainer belonged to his grandfather's trainer's son? He hopes this Ash is just like Red.
"I like to hear your tales," Snorlax said.
"Better, why don't we tell you the story about all of our adventures," Braixen suggested.
With that all of the Pokémon gathered around as Frogadier and Braixen were ready to tell the story about their adventures with Ash and Serena.
Fuchsia City
Professor Sycamore and Sophie were walking through the city as they were advised not to go much further due to Siegfried. They were trying to find the Pokémon Center and see if they could get in contact with Professor Oak to let him know that he was here and what is going on.
The only thing running through their minds right now was complete dread. Ash and Serena were on their way to Fuchsia City and they were going to be running into Siegfried along the way. Who knows what could be going through Frogadier's and Braixen's head when they see that evil man?
"I just hope that they're alright and Ash and Serena don't cross paths with him," Sophie uttered.
Professor Sycamore gripped her hand and looked back with complete hurt and anger.
"I hope so too," Sycamore responded, "I just know that a lot of Pokémon are going to get hurt or killed with him around."
Professor Sycamore truly hated Siegfried with every single fiber of his being. He kills Pokémon just for the fun of it and tends to kill them in the most drastic ways possible. He also unknowingly did severe emotional damage Froakie and Fennekin before they hatched. They never wanted to leave the lab and barely ever interacted with anyone except each other. When they get given to a new trainer, they run right back as they want to stay at the lab, and they barely even budge to him and Sophie.
All of that started to change when they met Ash and Serena. Those two just saw something in them that made them feel comfortable. The two started to grow up and evolve, but the emotional toll still lies within them and as Ash and Serena stated, this time they have not been able to reach out to them. Siegfried's actions took a bigger blow on them than expected.
As they continued walking, Sophie notices something up in the sky. It looks like a small dot with a bunch of other small dots. As it comes closer, Sophie could see that a Pidgeot was coming in for a landing.
"A Pidgeot?" Sophie questioned.
Sycamore saw the Pidgeot as it came in landing like an airplane hitting the tarmac. The Pidgeot collapsed in exhaustion while the Pidgey gathered around her were gaining a little strength. They saw their mother fall to the ground.
"It's a Pidgeot alright," Sycamore said as he looked down, "And it looks like its tired."
Sycamore and Sophie rush towards the Pidgeot. They see all of the Pidgey gathering around their mother as Pidgeot was still breathing. She wasn't dying, she just used a lot of energy trying to get herself and her babies away from Siegfried.
"Poor thing, it must be tired," Sophie said.
"Let's find the Pokémon Center and bring her and these other Pidgeys there," Sycamore suggested.
"That's a good idea," Sophie replied.
With that, Professor Sycamore pulled out a spare Pokeball to catch Pidgeot. He had four Pokémon on him with two open spots, so it was a good thing he didn't have six.
"This will only be temporary," Sycamore told Pidgeot and the other Pidgey as he tapped the Pokeball on Pidgeot sucking her in, "I will release you once you're healed."
Pidgeot was sucked inside and the ball wiggled three times before it dinged. He only Pidgeot in there for better transport. Sophie and Sycamore carefully picked up the baby Pidgey.
"Don't worry little ones, everything will be okay," Sycamore told the Pidgey.
Sycamore and Sophie were able to find an officer and explained what just happened. He gladly would give them a ride to the Pokémon Center in his car, so they don't have to keep looking around.
Fuchsia City-Pokémon Center
Inside Fuchsia City, there was a Japanese themed building with a red roof. That was the Fuchsia City Pokémon Center. Inside the Pokémon Center, there was a Nurse Joy taking care of a Venomoth. Behind her however was a woman with short brown hair and hazel eyes.
She wore blue scrubs as she actually was actually watching Nurse Joy taking care of the Venomoth. This woman took an interest into becoming a Pokémon doctor after an accident from her previous profession where she accidently snipped off a Furfrou's ear. This woman went by the name Sherri, and she was shadowing Nurse Joy at the local Pokémon Center for the time being.
Behind her on the other side of the glass was her husband who had short black hair and wore a light blue sweater, green pants, and black shoes. This was her husband Claude. After being let go from his previous job, Claude was not sure what to do so for the time being he joined his wife at the Pokémon Center watching her work.
"Sherri, it's nice for me to see you living your dream while I can't live mine anymore," Claude thought to himself, "I just hope you have better fortunes than I did."
Sherri watches Nurse joy give Venomoth the proper medicine along with a few Super Potions. She has learned when minor health issues come in then just give the Pokémon Potions and Revives if they faint, but if it's major, then they have to go through advanced medicine. While technology has improved for Pokémon to heal faster, it was still vital that Sherri knew these things just in case.
Then a ding was heard at the front door. Claude and everyone else sees who just rushed in. Sycamore and Sophie hurried on over to the front desk with a Pokeball and a couple of Pidgey. Sycamore rang the bell.
"Excuse me!" Sycamore called out.
Nurse Joy told Sherri to keep an eye on Venomoth as she hurried to the front desk. Sycamore and Sophie place the Pidgey down and then the professor opens the Pokeball to reveal Pidgeot. Nurse Joy looked at all of the Pokémon and gasped.
"Good heavens, what happened?" Nurse Joy asked in shock.
"This Pidgeot just came from the sky and crashed into the ground," Sycamore answered, "I think it might be tired."
"And I believe these Pidgey might be her babies," Sophie stated gesturing to the Pidgey.
"Not to worry, I'll get a stretcher for the Pidgeot and the Pidgey immediately," Nurse Joy declared.
With that, Nurse Joy called Chansey over to bring a stretcher. Chansey placed the Pidgeot gently onto the stretcher and then the professor, his wife, and the nurse carefully place the Pidgey next to their mother. Claude was to the side watching. Seeing them help those Pidgey and their parent reminded him of the Pidgey he helped reunite with her parents.
If he only knew.
Frogadier and Braixen have now joined Munchlax and the rest of the Pokémon at the grotto with Snorlax. Despite Ash and Serena not being there, they do have a feeling deep down that they still care for them, and they do.
Speaking of Ash and Serena, the emotional toll on Serena caused her to slip out what she did at Lavender Town, and Ash isn't on good terms with her. Serena is really down right now with Braixen missing and Ash probably hating. What will happen to their relationship?
Professor Sycamore and Sophie have crossed paths with Claude and his wife, Sherri thanks to a fallen Pidgeot. That Pidgeot might seem familiar to a certain someone.
Stay tuned as the next chapter involves one single human being making the situation with Siegfried a hell of a lot worse which will set the stage for the final confrontation with the evil hunter.
Chapter 47: Marks of a Traitor
