Something is going to happen in this chapter which could turn you off, and I didn't like to write about this either, but trust me I know where I'm going with this. Also expect a little number from Dragon Ball Z as something similar to the anime will happen around the end of this chapter.

Well with that being said here is the fourth chapter of the Siegfried Arc where the hunter himself will finally go all out.

Once again read at your own risk, and I do not own Pokémon.

Ranger station

Shepard returned from his patrol with a couple of sacks of money stowed away in his jeep. He got out of his jeep and started to carry the sacks of money he received from Siegfried into his office. He had a closest where he could store the money.

Shepard just got five-hundred million Pokedollars from Siegfried for telling him where a whole lot of Pokémon were hiding.

"Oh baby, who knew Arceus just rewarded me for getting Team Rocket's little friend out of society," Shepard said to himself as he kissed some of the Pokedollars, "Claude said that I should not engage where that Munchlax is, but never did he say crazy sociopathic hunters like Siegfried."

Shepard just kept smiling and hugging his money. This was really the happiest he has been in a long time.

"See Claude, I kept my promise and I'm doing my job as well where that fugitive Pokémon will be executed. Unlike you, I'm actually do my job and now I'm getting rewarded," Shepard said to himself, "After Siegfried is gone I can finally declare my retirement."

Shepard was now wondering what he was going to do with his newly obtained fortune. Maybe a tropical vacation to Alola, or better he can live there with one of their luxurious houses. Maybe move to Kalos and get one of their well-designed houses, not to mention the gourmet food there is delicious. He could even more to Galar where he can watch the landscape from a luxurious mansion.

There's a whole lot that Shepard could do with that money. All he had to do was sell his soul to Giratina and endanger all the Pokémon in the big tree. For him, firing Claude was his best motive yet as he would just berated him or some shit.

Shepard realized that the other rangers might be wondering what is going on with him. Last time he contacted him Siegfried encounter him. The head ranger needed to let everyone know that he was alright. Shepard turned on his walkie.

"This is head ranger Shepard reporting to all rangers," Shepard announced on the walkie.

Shepard was hoping the rest of the fellow rangers in the area answer the call.

"Pedansky reporting, sir are you alright?" Pedansky asked in concern.

"I am, thanks for your concern," Shepard reported.

"Sir, we've heard that you came across Siegfried. Exactly what happen and how did you survive?" Pedansky asked.

Shepard needed to come up with something that would be believable. He doesn't want them to know that he was giving Siegfried a place to attack.

"Siegfried tried to attack me, but thanks to my wits I was able to escape before he could do anything," Shepard lied.

"That's good to hear," Pedansky responded on the other end, "Do you have any clue where he went?"

"Negative, when I got away I completely lost him. I don't know where he is right now," Shepard answered.

"Do you have any potential clues?" Pedansky asked.

"No, but I do want you to continue your patrols as scheduled. If Siegfried should turn up somewhere just let me know," Shepard responded.

"Copy that," Pedansky replied.

"Now get back to work, we may be searching for him all night," Shepard replied.

"Copy that, and if we find any more dead Pokémon, I'm sure we'll know where he could be," Pedansky replied on the other end, "Pedansky out!"

Pedansky cut himself off from the other end. There was no way Shepard could have hinted where Siegfried would've gone. As long as he got his money, that rogue Munchlax was dead, and he was out of here, everything would be fine for the head ranger.

Pokémon Center

Bedtime now came in the Pokémon Center. Ash was in his room as he was reflecting on what Rotom Dex was talking about. Ash took some time to think everything with Serena over. Ash wonders if Serena did help the cause with the trio and they would now be better off.

Come to think of it, Ash could think of all the kind things Serena did when they were in Pallet Town. The truth was that he was seeing Serena become almost like him, like his equal half. Rotom Dex was right about one thing, kind people even show mercy, even if it's their mortal enemy.

"Serena, I'm not happy about what you did," Ash said to himself as he was thinking about Serena, "But Rotom Dex was right, you were the better person."

Ash then stood up from his bed and walked out of his room. He had Rotom Dex shut off for the moment as he wanted to have a conversation with Serena. Ash went up and knocked on her door.

Serena has calmed down after talking with Rotom Dex as she heard knocking. She wonders who could be checking in on her.

"Who is it?" Serena weakly asked.

"It's Ash, can I come in?" Ash asked on the other end.

Serena was surprised to hear Ash talking to her, and he was talking to her calmly. Maybe Ash finally blew his steam out.

"You can come on in," Serena told Ash.

Ash opened the door and walked into the room. He saw Serena still in her regular attire as she wasn't in the mood to change. She just wanted to think and get any tears out of her system. Ash walked over to her bed, sat down, and looked over at Serena.

"Ash, I'm really sorry for what I did in Lavender Town," said Serena as she had a hard time looking at her, "It's just that I couldn't help but wonder what would happen."

Ash then grabbed her hands and Serena ended up looking at Ash. His eyes didn't show any hatred or hurt, but symphony. That look he was giving indicated we was willing to forgive her.

"Listen to me Serena, I should be the one apologizing," Ash told Serena, "I'm really sorry for how I acted towards you."

Serena was surprised to see that Ash was apologizing for his outburst at her. Why would he apologize after aiding Team Rocket?

"Serena, you're a great, kind, strong, and loving person. I've started to understand that you would never want to help a group like Team Rocket progress with their goals," Ash said, "I understand now that you wished you could both help Jessie, James, and Meowth without having to somehow help that organization."

"You're absolutely right, even though Team Rocket is our enemy and I never want them to succeed in their plot of terror, I also don't wish for them to suffer," Serena stated.

"That's what I love about you Serena is that you take time to find the good in people. I now have to understand that you were caught in a bad spot where you were forced not to do both," Ash explained, "Maybe my hatred for criminals overweighed taking the time to look for good inside them."

Ash then took a deep sigh and then gave Serena a hug. While he can't stand Team Rocket, Serena has shown that she can't stand them either. The truth was they've been through a lot in their journey from good to bad and that they were able to overcome them together.

"I'm glad you're understanding this Ash, and I just hope you can forgive me," Serena said.

"Serena, I love you. Of course, I have to forgive you," Ash told Serena, "If you love someone with all of your heart, then you have to forgive those you love no matter what they've done. I'm not going to be someone who holds a grudge."

"Oh Ash," Serena wept as she hugged Ash.

It brought joy to Serena that Ash forgave her. It feels like their shaky relationship has been repaired. The Pallet Town couple continued to embrace in the hug until they broke out and frowned as they can still remember something that has haunted their minds.

Frogadier and Braixen were still out there with Siegfried running rapid, and they were worried where they could be.

"I'm still worried about Braixen," Serena muttered.

"Me too Serena, and I feel the same way for Frogadier," Ash muttered.

Ash and Serena continued to hug each other for comfort. The only thing they wish for now were to find their Pokémon, but after a stressful day, it was best they called it a night.

"Well I'm going to bed, goodnight Serena," Ash responded as he got up.

"Goodnight Ash," Serena said in a low tone.

Ash was about to walk to the door until he turned back to Serena. Ash wanted to insure that he did love her. With that, he walked back to Serena and placed a kiss on her cheek. Serena felt a great amount of bliss from that kiss. After everything that happened today, getting a kiss from Ash after all hell broke loose with her confession about Team Rocket was the best thing that happened today.

After the kiss, Ash smiled at Serena where she smiled back with some tears coming from her eyes. He finally walked out of the room leaving her alone. As Ash looked back at the door, he can remember everything that happened.

Serena was feeling miserable after losing Braixen and letting the word slip about how she helped Team Rocket. Ash was no longer angry in fact he was happy that Serena was smiling again. It almost looked like a weak smile to him. Ash wondered how he could get Serena to smile again, and then it hit him.

"I think I know how to get rid of all of your sorrows Serena, but for right now let's get some shut eye," Ash thought to himself as he thought of how to help Serena.

In the grotto

Everyone was now getting ready to turn over for the night. Pokémon like Snorlax, Kadabra, and Seel were on watch along with a few volunteer Pokémon. They needed to keep everyone on alert regarding Siegfried. Munchlax was sleeping next to his father, while Elekid, Magby, Smoochum, and Ponyta slept next to their respective parents.

Elsewhere Frogadier and Braixen were in a secluded area as they wanted to be alone for the night. It truly was the first time these two were by themselves in a while and it felt peaceful.

"So, what are we going to do?" Frogadier asked with a sigh.

"I don't know if we should go out looking for Serena and Ash. They could be long gone," Braixen sighed.

"We can do that, but let's wait until morning," Frogadier suggested.

"Okay," Braixen replied with a smile.

As the two began to get close with each other, the two Pokémon felt kind of warm. These two have really gotten closer since leaving Pallet Town, and now here they are spending the night in hiding from the hunter who killed their families.

"That was pretty brave of you Braixen trying to hold off Siegfried for us," Frogadier said.

"I didn't want you or anyone else to get hurt," Braixen stated.

"So, you knew what you were doing when Siegfried backed me in a corner," Frogadier responded.

"Yeah, despite the intense situation, I made sure to keep my head clear. Those young Pokémon don't know how to act in a situation like this," Braixen explained.

The Fox Pokémon looked down at the ground with tears coming from her eyes. Frogadier then placed his arm around Braixen and she looked at Frogadier teary eyed.

"I should've known you would never leave me behind like that," Frogadier bravely said.

"The truth is that I never want to leave you behind. In fact, I don't know what I do without you," Braixen cried, "I've known you my whole life, even more than Augustine, Sophie, and even Serena."

"I can say the same for you," Frogadier stated, "Braixen, you've grown to become a very strong independent Pokémon. You've proved it back there with how you defended Siegfried. You even were by my side when I felt like I was at my worst."

Braixen was touched by Frogadier's words. They were actually true, in fact if she never went to the lake to check on him when he was feeling tense, then he would've been all alone. Not to mention he and the other Pokémon would've been dead.

"That really means a lot to me Frogadier, not to mention that you've grown to become strong and thoughtful yourself," Braixen kindly said.

"What do you mean?" Frogadier questioned.

"Come on think about it, you really think about others like Ash does," Braixen told Frogadier as he looked at Munchlax, "Come on, think about it. Ash probably doesn't know what happened to his father, and we met a Pokémon who actually knew his father, you've taken the time to defend him more than Ash."

"Well to be honest you're right, he doesn't know the whole story about his father. And after we heard everything Snorlax was talking about involving his past, it makes Red seem to almost be like Ash in every single way," Frogadier explained, "I really would like Ash to start regaining some respect for his father, but maybe the first step would be to know what happened to him."

Braixen wrapped her arm around Frogadier and she smiled at the Bubble Frog Pokémon.

"That shows how much I care about you. You always do whatever you can to look out for Ash just like how he looks out for you," Braixen said.

"Not just Ash, but all of the other Pokémon," Frogadier confessed as he looked at Braixen in the eyes, "But mostly you."

"Me?" Braixen questioned.

"Like you said Braixen, I don't know what I would do without you in my life. Until Ash came around, you were the one thing that made me happy at times. I know I haven't shown it much back in the lab, but you really have. You're the reason I actually want to keep living," Frogadier said tearing up.

Braixen was touched by those heartfelt words of Frogadier. Like Braixen, Frogadier has no idea what he would do without her. One of the big reason he kept rejecting trainers was that he didn't want to be separated from her. Frogadier was happier with Ash not only because of the kind of person he was that he could seem to trust, but he unintentionally kept him with Braixen as Serena took her as her starter and they traveled together.

The truth was they should be thanking Ash and Serena for this opportunity to open up to them. While their trainers say that they were the reason they got closer, the two Pokémon recall that at the same time, their trainers were the reason they got closer.

Frogadier and Braixen continued to look into each other's eyes. There was nothing but love and thought in those pupils.

"Braixen…I…I…I love you," Frogadier confessed.

Braixen didn't know what to say. Frogadier just told her that he loves her. Braixen was now feeling tears of happiness.

"Frogadier, I love you too," Braixen choked and confessed.

The two Pokémon embraced in a hug crying. They were crying tears of happiness in a very dark time. While this was a dark moment for the two Pokémon, they were happy that they got to endure this moment together.

What the two Pokémon didn't know was that Snorlax bent down and gently hugged them too. He was showing affection to the union of Frogadier and Braixen.

"It warms my heart to see two Pokémon admit their love to each other," Snorlax quietly said, "This was how I felt when I met my mate."

Some of the Pokémon were looking at what was going on and every single Pokémon had a smile on their face. They were witnessing true love between two Pokémon. Munchlax even got a glance of it and couldn't help but smile.

"Do you think you two will make an egg?" Munchlax asked.

Frogadier and Braixen couldn't help but blush in embarrassment. They weren't thinking about that right now.

"I'm not thinking about children right now," Frogadier responded, "I'm just thinking about being here with Braixen."

"It's too soon to think about that right," Braixen told Munchlax, "For right now, I'm just glad to be here with Frogadier."

Though things were rough, Frogadier and Braixen couldn't help but feel as it everything is peaceful. It was just them, with a couple of other Pokémon, but they were together. The two Pokémon believed that they were going to get out of this alive, and they were.

But for right now, it was time for them to sleep.

The Next Day

Pokémon Center

It was dark outside not only because it was the crack of dawn, but there were storm clouds covering the area. It looked like a huge storm was approaching.

Ash slept through most of the night as he worked things out with Serena. However, there was still one thing on his mind. Frogadier and Braixen. Ash knew their Pokémon were still out there, and he was going to keep in his mind that they were alive. He didn't care what Shepard said.

When Ash was awake, he asked Nurse Joy for his and Serena's Pokémon along with Pikachu. She gave them his and her Pokémon and Pikachu jumped off the counter to give Ash an affectionate rub on the cheek.

"Pikachu," Pikachu cooed.

"Did you rest well buddy," Ash told Pikachu.

"Pikachu," Pikachu responded nodding a yes.

"That's great, now let's get Serena," Ash said as he went into his backpack, "But first thing is first."

Ash got Rotom Dex out of his backpack and switched it from sleep mode to active mode. The floating Pokedex began to float around and rubbed its eyes like it just woke up.

"Is it morning already?" Rotom Dex asked.

"Yeah, now were going to get Serena," Ash told Rotom Dex.

Pikachu and Rotom Dex were wondering what Ash was going to do. He already made peace with Serena with her involvement with Team Rocket. Ash opened Serena's door and entered her room.

There Ash could see Serena sleeping peacefully. This may be the most peaceful she's been since Frogadier's and Braixen's disappearance, but he knew deep down that Serena was not at peace.

"I've made up with Serena last night," Ash told Rotom Dex.

"You have?" Rotom Dex questioned.

"Yeah, I understood now that she was caught in the moment where she was forced to do something she would regret. Either give up the ghost Pokémon and possibly let them live or turn them into the police and potentially risk them of being killed by one of their own teammates and have her live with what could've been," Ash muttered.

"It was hard decision for her Ash, someone was going to get hurt no matter what," Rotom Dex sighed.

"Maybe it was the best decision, even though I hate Team Rocket," Ash uttered.

Rotom Dex looked at Ash and smiled. Though it was a floating Pokedex, Rotom Dex was still a Pokémon who had thoughts and feelings for itself. Rotom Dex wasn't just their Pokedex that they shared, it was also their best friends and Rotom Dex has grown with those two.

"I'm glad you've forgave Serena. I mean you two are traveling in a world with dangerous things such as angry Pokémon, a criminal organization, and a sociopathic killer," Rotom Dex explained, "And if anything happened to either or both of you, both you and Serena could regret it for the rest of your life. We never know when you could die, you could even die today."

Ash grimaced when he heard that, and Rotom Dex was right. There was no telling when the grim reaper will decide to come. The fact that he has forgiven Serena last night can give her peace at least, and maybe peace for himself as well. You never know when you're going to die as it come unexpected. That was already the case for the Pokémon here in the forest.

Ash began to shake Serena in her bed to wake her up. Serena then began to open her eyes to see Ash all dressed holding her Pokeballs and Pikachu and Rotom Dex were by his side. Serena was looking at Ash and he showed a complete determined look on his face.

"Ash," Serena whispered.

"Get dressed," Ash ordered.

"What?" Serena questioned.

Pikachu and Rotom Dex knew where Ash was going with this. While they do think he is crazy, they were going to go with it.

"I said get dressed," Ash ordered as he handed Serena her Pokeballs, "Were getting out of here."

"What for? That Shepard guy says we have to stay here until Siegfried is gone," Serena told Ash.

"We're sneaking out of here now. We're not sitting here doing nothing because some person who has high authority says so. We're going to look for our Pokémon," Ash declared.

Serena's eyes widened when she heard that. He was actually going to get out and look for Frogadier. Then she can recall Braixen was out there too and she was a wreck when she was separated from Braixen.

"You're going to look for Frogadier and Braixen?" Serena asked.

"No, we're going to look for them together. Remember, Braixen is your Pokémon and the only you want to have her back safe and sound," Ash told Serena.

Serena knew Ash was right. Sitting there crying and being scared for Braixen wasn't going to make her come back. Serena said to herself that Braixen was like a little sister to her. She loved Braixen as that Pokémon has a special place in her heart not only as her first Pokémon, but one of the two Pokémon that brought her and Ash together along with Frogadier.

Serena's face was filled with determination. She wasn't going to sit here and pray and hope for her safety, she was going to get out and look for her herself. If she found Braixen and she was in immediate danger with no way out, she could save her. She didn't care anymore if her career as a coordinator came to an end, she was going to make that sacrifice to make her Braixen was safe and sound.

"Let's go," Serena said with a brave tone.

Serena got her clothes out and started to switch out of her pajamas and into her travel attire. She usually would take a shower, but she was going to put that aside. Her Braixen was in danger and she was going to get her side. Ash told her that the end would only be there when they see their Pokémon dead in front of them.

"How are we going to get out?" Serena asked Ash.

"We'll sneak out the window," Ash answered pointing to the window.

Serena was looking out the window and there were some storm clouds approaching. Both Pokémon trainers didn't care about the weather, they only cared about their Pokémon.

Ash opened the window and was the first one out. It was an easy escape as they were on the first floor. Serena was the next one out and Ash helped her out. Rotom Dex and Pikachu were to follow as Ash shut the window from the outside.

They made sure to get their belongings as well since they might have something useful. Ash and Serena double checked to make sure all of their Pokeballs were clipped onto their belts, and the couple was set.

"Now let's go," Ash told Serena.

"Right," Serena confirmed.

"Frogadier, Braixen, we're coming for you," Ash uttered.

Ash and Serena began to make a run for it. They didn't even bother to look back. Right now, they needed to look for their Pokémon as the storm clouds got darker.

They didn't care as the love for their Pokémon completely overpowers bad weather.

Fuchsia City-Pokémon Center

Sherri stayed overnight at the Pokémon Center to keep an eye on Pidgeot while Nurse Joy was taking calls about wounded Pokémon coming her way once Siegfried was gone. Claude, Sycamore, and Sophie all agreed to take a room there for the night. They agreed that they were going to confront Siegfried, but not head on as the area was now considered a danger zone.

After a good night sleep, they all woke up and headed on over to the cafeteria where they all had breakfast along with coffee.

"So, anyone know how we're going to get through?" Sophie asked, "The police will not let anyone past the east entrance of the city."

"If I still had my job, they probably would let me pass, but that won't be an option thanks to my now former boss," Claude muttered.

"But how do we confront him, we don't have many Pokémon," Sycamore stated, "I have Garchomp, but he doesn't know many good long-range attack besides Hyper Beam which can take up a lot of energy and wear Garchomp out."

"Garchomp knows Flamethrower," Sophie said.

"Sophie, even though Flamethrower is a long-range attack, it's not something that can go a great distance as the flame tend to die out at around fifty-yards as we need to start out way back," Sycamore explained as he looked out the window, "And besides, if we're going out today that Flamethrower won't be as strong as it looks like a storm is coming.

It was a good point from Sycamore. There appears to be a major downpour on the way. This really made the atmosphere with Siegfried even more intense. Having his Garchomp going up close against the hunter is a potential danger as he can be an easier target for Siegfried. Hyper Beam would drain him of some energy not giving enough energy to fight or escape.

Sycamore then looked at his wrist and saw the Mega Band he wore. There was a rainbow stone on the band which consisted of a black swivel design with three horizontal lines running through the middle.

"I could Mega Evolve Garchomp and have him use Hyper Beam, but I'm not sure about the energy he could have," Sycamore sighed.

"I hate to say this, but it doesn't look like we got ourselves a good lineup of Pokémon who can try and hold the fort down. One Garchomp is not going to take down a powerful hunter like Siegfried," Claude explained, "We may have to actually bring some guns with us. It might be our best bet."

"So, you and your wife truly don't have any Pokémon?" Sycamore questioned.

"We don't, but I do have some skills in martial arts. That could be useful," Claude said, "But I don't know if all of this will be enough."

"And we still have no answer to the question how are we going to get past the police," Sophie stated.

Sherri then walked into the cafeteria as she finally got herself a break. She could see the others talking about how they're going to confront Siegfried. She could see the looks on their faces were not pleasant as they weren't coming up with anything good.

As soon as Sherri got her breakfast and coffee, she joined her husband and the Sycamores at the table to hear the discussion.

"Any plans on what we're going to do?" Sherri asked.

"We'll we were going to try using Garchomp, but it might not be enough," Sycamore said.

"Don't you have more Pokémon?" Sherri asked.

"No, I'm getting all my Pokémon checked out at the Pokémon Center in Lumisone City, and I don't know if they're going to get their checkups interrupted. Garchomp was the only Pokémon I brought with me," Sycamore explained.

"And not to mention none of you have Pokémon," Sophie stated.

"Chances are we're going to have to get some weapons, mostly long-range military snipers to take on Siegfried," Claude stated.

"But then we have to go through a background check and waiting period of about five days," Sherri stated.

"I know, we can't wait that long. Who knows how many more Pokémon will fall victim to that bastard!" Claude exclaimed as he slammed his fists on the table.

It didn't draw a whole lot of attention, but a few people looked over and then quickly went back to doing their thing. Right now, Claude should change the topic.

"How's Pidgeot and the Pidgey doing?" Claude asked.

"They're doing fine, do you want to see them?" Sherri asked.

Claude's frustrations then faded away into a warm smile. Nothing would lift his spirits than seeing a Pokémon feeling much better.

"I actually would love too. Just to ease my mind," Claude answered with a smile.

Pidgeot's room

Nurse Joy gave the three adults permission to enter Pidgeot's room. As they walked inside, they could see Pidgeot laying on a hospital bed while another group of Pidgey were laying down on baby like beds. They all smiled as they could see that they were peacefully sleeping.

Claude walked on over to Pidgeot and bent down. The mother bird began to open her eyes. As they opened, she could see the same man she saw yesterday. It brought joy to her face to see him again.

"Good morning Pidgeot, how are you feeling?" Claude asked.

"Pidgeotto," Pidgeot cooed.

"I'm glad you're getting your strength back," Claude said as he looked at the bed with Pidgey, "And I can see your babies are doing fine."

Pidgeot gave Claude a warm smile. It lifted her spirits to see Claude be by her side again and knowing that her children were going to be fine. They were just exhausted.

"You know the woman who was sitting in your room with you and your babies all night was my wife," Claude told Pidgeot, "Just like me, she deeply cares about Pokémon just like I do."

Pidgeot cooed in appreciation once again, but then she noticed that Claude's face became serious. What was he up to? Was there something that was bothering him?

"Pidgeot, I need to ask you something. I have a theory of why you were here," Claude told Pidgeot.

The Bird Pokémon tilted her head in confusion. Did Claude really know what was going on? He just met her for the first time in years and he has a theory on why she came to Fuchsia City. Sherri, Sycamore, and Sophie all gathered around as Claude was going to talk to her.

"Pidgeot, when you and your babies came to Fuchsia City, we're you coming from that direction fleeing from a big bald human with sunglasses killing Pokémon?" Claude asked as he pointed his finger to the direction of east.

Pidgeot's eyes widened in terror. She can remember when she was getting her children out of their home to get away from Siegfried. She can remember the horrifying image of him killing her mate and the Pidgeys father. It was the most terrifying thing she ever witnessed, even more than Shepard's confrontation with Claude.

"Pidgeotto," Pidgeot responded with her starting to take rapid shallow breaths.

"So, you were really attacked by him?" Sherri asked in worry.

"Pidgeotto," Pidgeot responded again.

All of them grimaced when they heard that. So, she did come face to face with the hunter. They don't know the whole story yet.

"Pidgeot, that man you came across is a violent evil human being named Siegfried," Sycamore said, "You did nothing wrong he just loves to kill Pokémon for no reason."

Pidgeot hung her head down after hearing that. Sure, Siegfried just loved to kill Pokémon, but she wasn't strong enough for the fight. The only thing she could do was run away, which was the best option since she needed to protect her children.

"Don't feel bad Pidgeot, you did the right thing getting away," Claude said reassuring Pidgeot.

"Plus making sure your children are okay is more important," Sherri told Pidgeot.

As Sherri was comforting Pidgeot, she noticed something. The Pidgeot was those Pidgey's mother, so that meant she had a father.

"I just realized something Pidgeot," Sherri stated as she glanced at the Pidgey, "Their father, where is he?"

Pidgeot had tears coming from her eyes when Sherri asked her that. The last thing she can remember was that her mate was trying to fend off Siegfried while she was getting the four Pidgey out of harm's way. Then she can recall seeing Siegfried throw a ninja star right at the male Pidgeot's neck. He crashed down like a boulder and croaked on the ground until he died.

Everybody looked at Pidgeot's upset look. Claude could see tears coming from her eyes after his wife asked about her mate. It made sense now what happened.

"Oh Pidgeot, I'm so sorry," Claude said as he bent down to Pidgeot's level, "It's must've been hard for you."

The older man gave Pidgeot a gentle hug, nothing too big which could lead to a crushing pain. Pidgeot accepted the hug with a few more tears.

"So Pidgeot's mate is gone," Sycamore solemnly said.

"It's likely that hunter killed him," Claude muttered.

Claude looked at Pidgeot and the four Pidgey. It was amazing to see that she grew up, found a mate, and started a family, only to have Siegfried take her mate away. It just hurt him that those Pidgey were going to grow up without a father.

Then Claude remembered what he was talking about with Sycamore and Sophie in the cafeteria that they were going to find a way to go after Siegfried. Claude can recall that if Pidgeot was not able to fight back against Siegfried and couldn't remain in their home, then maybe she can get another chance.

Claude then remembered that Sycamore's Garchomp was their best and possibly their only line of offense. He then could picture himself and his wife on Pidgeot flying over the police and into the wilderness. Claude wasn't sure how strong this Pidgeot was, but maybe she could be a valuable asset and lend a hand in taking down Siegfried. Claude was going to ask Pidgeot a difficult question.

"Pidgeot listen, me and my wife along with these two nice people are thinking about going after the crazy guy who killed your mate," Claude told Pidgeot.

Pidgeot's eyes widened again in disbelief. Claude was really going to go after that maniac. She understood that he helped her in the past, but this was suicide.

"Now I was wondering that since the four of us are going after him, we were wondering if you want to go after him with us?" Claude asked.

"Pidgeot!" Pidgeot whimpered.

"Don't worry, I will not force you. It's up to you if you want to come with us," Claude told Pidgeot, "If you do come, your babies will stay here and if worse comes to worse, Nurse Joy will take care of your children."

Pidgeot lost his scared look and now stood there looking serious. Pidgeot was really thinking.

"Remember Pidgeot you can decide to come with us and bring justice to your lost loved one and their father, or you can stay here and continue to raise these Pidgey," Sherri said as she continued, "Just remember, your children will be in good hands and they will get the best care. We won't be upset if you stay."

Pidgeot was going into deep thought. She didn't want to leave her children behind to fight a maniac because then they wouldn't have a parent figure. Though her babies will stay at the Pokémon Center, the Pidgey already lost one parent and she didn't want them to lose another and have them become orphans. This could take an emotional toll on them.

But then Pidgeot has to recall bringing justice for their father's death and if she comes back alive, then her babies will have a mother they can really look up to. Then there was the time Claude helped her reunite with her parents when she was a Pidgey. If it weren't for Claude, then she probably wouldn't be here today, she wouldn't have ever met her mate, and her four children would never have been born.

Pidgeot then had a determined look on her face. While it was a small kind act from Claude, it was a big impact on her life. He saved her all those years ago, and now she an opportunity to return the favor. The man she has known is still the same person he was, one who was willing to help out Pokémon in need.

Pidgeot nodded her head yes.

"You're going to help us," Claude stuttered.

"Pidgeotto," Pidgeot confirmed.

"Are you sure you want to come with? There is the possibility of being killed," Sophie stated.

Pidgeot nodded her head yet again. Her mind was set. She was going to return the favor to Claude.

"Well if you really are committed to doing this, I won't stop you," Claude told Pidgeot, "We were just worried for your children."

Pidgeot was glad that Claude understood her own needs, but she has decided to take a chance and help Claude out. It was the least she can do.

"If you're going to come with us, at least say goodbye and tell them you love them," Sherri told Pidgeot.

Pidgeot looked at her babies. They were all starting to wake up and flapping their wings. She smiled that they had a good night sleep. The mother bird loved her children so much and wanted the best for them. Pidgeot can tell that these four humans do value her needs. Sycamore even snapped the Pokeball after getting her to the Pokémon Center so she wouldn't be under his possession.

Pidgeot got up and stretched her wings out. She went on over to her children. All four Pidgey were looking at their mother who had a serious look. All four humans looked over as Pidgeot spoke to her kids.

"Mommy," one of the Pidgey replied.

Pidgeot gave a sigh. What she was going to tell them was difficult.

"Kids, I want you to listen to me. I don't know how to say this, but daddy is gone and is never coming back. That scary monster killed him," Pidgeot sniffled, "He did try to fight him, but he lost."

The Pidgey didn't even know what to make of this. Their father was dead.

"I know you all don't understand this, but he's gone forever because of him," Pidgeot cried.

All of the Pidgey started to cry as they now knew they lost their dad. Pidgeot knew this was going to be tough and was going to get a lot tougher.

"What do you mean he's gone forever," one of the Pidgey cried.

"Listen, it's hard for you to understand and you shouldn't even be dealing with something like this at your age," Pidgeot stated, "But this is the truth."

All of the Pidgey were completely sad. They don't have their daddy anymore because of that monster. Now Pidgeot was going to tell them the hard part.

"I don't want to scare you, but I was thinking about it and I want to be here for you," Pidgeot told her children, "But I also want the best for you and to make sure that you're alright."

"Mommy, what are you talking about?" one of the Pidgey asked.

Pidgeot had tears coming from her eyes. She now had urges of backing out, but she just had to do it. Her babies might not know this human, but he is a big reason why they they're around.

"I'm going to fight for your father. I'm going with these humans to go up against the one who took your father away and get rid of him," Pidgeot told her children, "I didn't want to leave you and possibly end up like your father, but that human over there is the reason why we became a family."

Pidgeot was pointing her talon at Claude. The four Pidgey were looking at Claude and their sad looks were replaced with confusion. They didn't know who this guy was.

"I know this is isn't right of me, but," Pidgeot cried.

"Mommy," one of her children said.

Pidgeot turned to look at one of her four children. She loved them all equally and all of them gave what may look like brave faces.

"Go ahead mommy, it's okay," Pidgey sniffled.

"Really?" Pidgeot questioned.

"That bad monster took daddy away, I want him to go away," Pidgey cried.

"But he could take me away too, and I don't want you to lose another parent," Pidgeot cried.

There were tears coming from her eyes. Her children might be too young, but they support her.

"We were happy until that thing showed up," another one of her children said, "Daddy tried to get rid of him, but the thing got rid of him."

"Hurt him so we can have daddy back!" one of the Pidgey cried.

"I told you, daddy isn't coming back," Pidgeot reassured her child as she hugged him, "But I'll make sure that monster isn't coming back."

Pidgeot got all of her children around and gathered for a hug. It felt like a heartbreaking moment as they all watched the family gather around like this. This Pidgeot was like a soldier who was being deployed to serve the army.

"Now I want you all to stay here, and if I don't come back I just want you to know," Pidgeot paused and then continued, "I love you all so much and I want the best for you."

The family continued to hug for another full minute until Pidgeot finally breaks the hug. She wanted to come back to her children. She wanted to watch them grow up. She wanted them to have closure for their father.

Pidgeot turns to Claude, Sherri, Sycamore, and Sophie. Pidgeot confirms that she is ready to take on Siegfried.

"It must be hard for you isn't it?" Sycamore asked.

"Pidgeotto," Pidgeot responded.

"Saying goodbye to your children is the toughest thing you can ever do because me and my wife dealt with that with our kids," Claude stated, "So you're really going through with this?"

"Pidgeotto," Pidgeotto confirmed.

"Since you put your mind to it, let's go," Claude announces as he gives a clap.

Sherri went to let Nurse Joy know that she needed to look after the Pidgey as she told them Pidgeot had some business to take care off. Pidgeot was discharged and all four stepped outside.

The clouds were getting darker as they all stepped outside. Sycamore brought out his Garchomp while Claude and Sherri hopped on Pidgeot as she was going to give them a ride. Sycamore and Sophie got on Garchomp as he was going to give them a ride.

Both Pokémon took off from the Pokémon Center. They went east out of Fuchsia City limits and embarked for the wilderness.

In the forest

Ash and Serena were running through the forest searching for Frogadier and Braixen. Pikachu was using his scent while Ash had Pidgeotto out looking in the air. So far neither were coming up with anything. Better than finding dead bodies of their Pokémon.

"Did you find them Pidgeotto?" Ash asked.

"Pidgeot," Pidgeotto answered confirming no.

"Ash, maybe it's not such a great idea to have Pidgeotto out looking for them. If Siegfried sees Pidgeotto, there will be a high probability that he'll kill her upon impact," Rotom Dex conserved.

"Rotom Dex does make a point, we don't want to become potential targets," Serena said, "It might have been a good call that I had Beedrill stay at the lab."

They made a point, Frogadier and Braixen were already in danger. They didn't need to put more Pokémon in harm's way.

"You're right," Ash said pulling out Pidgeotto's Pokeball, "Pidgeotto you did your best helping us find them. Return."

Ash returned the Bird Pokémon and clipped the Pokeball back on his belt. They were trying to figure out what to do next until they heard something. It sounded like an engine.

"Do you all hear that?" Rotom Dex asked in fear.

"We do," Serena mumbled.

They looked in the direction of where the sound was coming from and there they could make out something. They weren't sure what it was. Maybe it was another ranger or that cold ranger who was going to scold them and drag them back to the Pokémon Center.

"Rotom Dex, can you zoom in on what we're seeing?" Serena asked.

"Most certainly," Rotom Dex answered.

The floating Pokedex went into his screen capture mode when he began to zoom in. They were seeing a jeep with a bald man wearing sunglass driving the vehicle. Ash, Serena, and Pikachu all gasped when they saw who it was.

Siegfried.

Their faces were lit with horror. There he was driving right in front of them. Ash was wondering did he give away where they were with Pidgeotto and put them in danger? That wasn't the time to think about this. Right now, they needed to act.

"It's Siegfried!" Rotom Dex cried.

Ash and Serena were flinching with fear. They weren't sure about Frogadier and Braixen now, but they knew their Pokémon were in grave danger.

"I'm not going to let him kill my Pokémon," Serena muttered as she unclips her belt, "Ash give Rotom Dex your Pokémon."

"That might be a good idea Serena, we can't risk the Pokémon being in danger without a proper attack plan right now," Ash cried as he unclipped his belt.

Pikachu watched in horror as Ash and Serena tossed their Pokeballs over to Rotom Dex. The two trainers held hands tightly unsure of what was going to happen. But they were going to put their Pokémon's safety first.

"Pikachu, Rotom Dex, listen carefully. Run far away as you can and take our Pokémon with," Ash ordered.

"Pikachu," Pikachu cried.

"You want us to what!" Rotom Dex exclaimed.

"We can't put you guys in danger," Serena cried.

"I could activate a Roto Lotto for one of your Pokémon," Rotom Dex reasoned.

"Just leave now! At least we'll know you're safe!" Ash ordered.

Pikachu had tears coming from his eyes and Rotom Dex had tears put on its screen. They really did care for their Pokémon. They put themselves in harm's way searching for their Pokémon, and now they're making them run away with their Pokémon to protect them.

"Pikachu," Pikachu muttered confirming yes.

Rotom Dex didn't say a word as they went into a set of bushes and ran away with their Pokeballs. It hurts for Ash and Serena that they've lost all of their Pokémon. At least now they know they'll be alright.

Siegfried was now getting closer. He smirked as Ash and Serena began to look away. If this was the end, they were thankful they made up last night. Rotom Dex was right, they could regret it for the rest of their lives if something were to happen to either of them. The two trainers looked onward with brave faces knowing what was coming next.

It felt like their lives were flashing before their eyes. The day they were born, the day they met at Professor Oak's summer camp, the beginning of their Pokémon journey, the badges and ribbons they won. Now for Ash Ketchum and Serena Gabena, the end was coming, and Siegfried got out his gun.

Ash and Serena looked over as he was getting closer. Was he going to run them over or shoot them? They were about to find out as they got ready for what was coming to them.

In the grotto

All of the Pokémon were still asleep with a few Pokémon on guard. Then the next thing that happened…

BANG! BANG!

All of the Pokémon woke up in alarm. That sounded like gunshots. Frogadier and Braixen awoke feeling terrified as they embraced each other. All of the Pokémon were looking around with confusion.

"Does anybody know what that was?" Kadabra asked as he was alarmed.

A huge chill ran up the Pokémon's spine. It sounded like he was close by. Electabuzz hugged her son, Elekid, very hard as if she didn't want anyone taking him away. Magmar embraced Magby like a stuffed Teddiursa, and Jynx had Smoochum hug her while crying on her stomach.

Munchlax was looking at his father who stood up. His father would know what to do, he was his hero.

"Everybody listen up!" Snorlax called out.

Everyone turned their attention to Snorlax who got their attention. While Frogadier and Braixen were just along for the ride, they thought it would be best to listen to him.

"Alright everyone, I need you all to keep quiet," Snorlax ordered everyone, "If that's him, then we can't make any noise where we would draw his attention."

All of the Pokémon looked around and heard what Snorlax said. Most of the younger Pokémon were scared for their lives while the older Pokémon agreed with Snorlax. If any noise were to be made, then they would be discovered.

"If worse comes to worst, we will attack," Snorlax stated as he looked at Frogadier and Braixen, "May I ask you two a favor."

"Yeah, what is it?" Braixen asked.

Snorlax had a serious look on his face as he looked at all of the Pokémon. He then looked at Munchlax and gave a heart wrenching sigh. He loved his son and wants the best for him, so he needed to be safe as well. Snorlax then turned back to the two Kalos Pokémon.

"You and the one called Frogadier are considered strong Pokémon with the help of your trainers, am I correct?" Snorlax questioned.

"That is correct," Frogadier confirmed.

"Then I need you two to do something for me," Snorlax told them, "If this hunter does indeed get in here, it's guaranteed that Pokémon will be killed in here. So, I need you to take my son and all of the kids and lead them out of here."

All of the young Pokémon were a bit terrified. They were going to be separated from their parents. The parent Pokémon didn't even protest as they knew Snorlax was making the right choice.

"In fact, I want all of the young Pokémon to go over to Frogadier and Braixen so you can get a head start if needed," Snorlax stated as he looked over at Munchlax, "You too Munchlax."

"What?" Munchlax questioned in worry.

"A parent's ultimate wish is for their child to be alright and live their lives to the fullest," Snorlax stated, "I want you to live that life."

Munchlax was now feeling like he was suffering a broken heart. His father was now going to send him out.

"Daddy, I…" Munchlax uttered as his father hugged him.

"I love you son, and I'm proud of what you become," Snorlax told Munchlax, "But we never know what could happen in life. You never know when you can die."

Munchlax was about ready to cry, but his father had a point. He almost died out there on his day of adventuring with Seel, so he should take his father's words and enjoy his life. Not to mention he would be with Ash's Frogadier.

"If you want us to lead those to safety, we won't object," Braixen stated.

"I greatly thank you," Snorlax praised.

All of the parents were hugging their children very hard before heading on over to the two Kalos Pokémon. Frogadier and Braixen were surprised by the number of Pokémon who were showing up to their side.

"No go on over to those two Pokémon in case something happens," Electabuzz told her son, "I love you son."

"I love you too mom," Elekid cried as he hugged her child.

"I know you would be in good hands with those Pokémon since they already saved you once," Magmar told her son.

"Braixen was terrified of Siegfried, but she was very brave when needed," Magby said as he hugged his mom, "I love you mom."

"I love you too son," Magmar told Magby as she hugged him.

"I hope this blows by, but in case something happens, Smoochum, I love you," Jynx told her daughter.

"I love you too mom," Smoochum responded as she was hugging her mom with some tears.

"We'll be brave through this dear," Rapidash told Ponyta.

"I know we will mom, I love you," Ponyta told her mom.

"I love you too sweetie," Rapidash told her daughter.

The two Pokémon nuzzled heads as a way of hugging each other and showing how they loved each other as mother and daughter.

Ponyta joined the trio of kid Pokémon as they made their way towards Frogadier and Braixen. Frogadier agreed to be in back this time with Braixen being in the front because of Frogadier's speed. If Frogadier went as fast as he could, the Pokémon would lose sight of him quickly so Braixen was the best bet.

Then all of the Pokémon became uneasy when they heard something. It sounded like an engine out in the distance, and it appeared to be coming closer.

"Everybody get ready," Snorlax told everyone.

All the Pokémon took stand as they prepared for what could come their way. Snorlax got up on his feet, other Pokémon were now getting their contraptions ready courtesy of Seel, and Seel looked at all the Pokémon gathered around the two Kalos Pokémon, most notably Munchlax.

"Alright, if it comes in I need you all to make a run for it," Seel told everyone.

"But what about you, and dad?" Munchlax asked in worry.

"Don't worry about us Munchlax, as your friend and one of the most loyal Pokémon to your father, I wish for you to be safe," Seel told Munchlax.

Munchlax was starting to have tears in his eyes. The first time was because of the pain he went through with Shepard, but his father and the other Pokémon helped him now. Now it was because he was about to be separated from his father and the Pokémon he considered his friends.

Sure. he had Elekid, Magby, Smoochum, Ponyta, and the Pokémon belonging to Red's son along with a Pokémon belonging to Red's son's girlfriend, but these were the Pokémon he grew up with. This was his home and they told him to flee. Time was running though as the engine got louder.

"I…I don't want to leave you," Munchlax said with tears falling out.

"Listen Munchlax, you've shown to be a strong Munchlax, but you're not ready for something so dangerous," Seel told Munchlax.

"He's right, me and your mother dealt with Team Rocket and your mother didn't make it. I fulfilled her needs to keep you safe, and now I'm doing the same thing," Snorlax told Munchlax.

Munchlax was looking at his dad. He really did want to see what his father would be capable of, just like he did with Seel. He looked up to him and wanted to be like him. However, for Munchlax, they start to see that he isn't ready for that stuff yet. He's too young.

Then the sound of the engine goes away, but it goes away so close to the grotto. It only meant one thing, he was close, and he was ready to kill Pokémon.

Frogadier and Braixen were looking ahead as they were shown the escape route they had to take the kids through. The tension grew higher and higher and the atmosphere became more intense every second. Then to everyone's horror, a grenade drops into the hole.

"What is that?" one of the Pokémon asked as not many Pokémon knew what it was.

The next thing that happened, the grenade exploded, and many Pokémon were caught in the explosion. Snorlax turned over to the young Pokémon with Frogadier and Braixen and thank Arceus they weren't near there.

"Go now!" Snorlax shouted.

"But dad!" Munchlax cried.

"GOOOOO!" Snorlax angrily yelled.

The place was now filling with smoke and a whole lot of Pokémon were greatly injured. Munchlax was frozen in place as Braixen ordered all of the Pokémon to follow her. Then Frogadier used Bubble on Munchlax to draw his attention.

"Munchlax we have to get moving!" Frogadier yelled.

Munchlax could see that most of the Pokémon were running in a line trying to evacuate the grotto. There was nothing Munchlax can do to reason with his father or anyone else. He had no choice but to follow the flock of Pokémon fleeing.

The smoke cleared and it was now revealed that a huge hole appeared at the place where all the Pokémon would come in through. There were many Pokémon laying on the ground who were now dead or missing limbs. Snorlax couldn't take the fact of many Pokémon crying in agony as they were dead or dying.

It was nothing compared to the figure that appeared from the smoke. A bald man with sunglasses holding a mace with a giant spike ball.

"So, it was true, there were Pokémon here for me to kill," Siegfried smirked.

All of the Pokémon looked in terror as the menacing Siegfried stood before them. He twirled his giant spike ball around to imitate everyone and then slammed it on the ground. He was just warming up for the gut smashing he was about to do.

Snorlax was now in a battle stance glaring at the evil hunter. He really was now having flashbacks of Team Rocket now.

"Get out," Snorlax uttered.

"I don't know what the hell you just said, but whatever it was fuck you," Siegfried said.

"Attack everyone!" Snorlax commanded.

With that all of the Pokémon began unleashing their attacks. Some Pokémon were unleashing their own attacks while other Pokémon were firing the weapons made by Seel such as slingshots, catapults with grapefruit, and pollen shooters made by small logs.

Siegfried endured all of the attacks as they were nothing. The only thing he did was walk forward and swinging his spike ball around where he got it to slam on the ground crushing a Raticate. He pulled it up with a screaming Raticate attacked and then twirled it around so hard it flew into a wall and died on impact.

He continued to smash Pokémon until Snorlax had enough. He charged at the evil man like a running back. Siegfried was able to use his own muscles to hold Snorlax to where he was. This hunter was ridiculously strong.

"I'm not going to let you hurt anymore Pokémon!" Snorlax yelled.

Siegfried dropped the spike ball and reached into his pocket. He let one hand free leaving the other to continue holding off Snorlax. Siegfried pulled out a knife.

"Hey fat ass, it's time for you to die!" Siegfried yelled as his jammed the knife into Snorlax.

The Sleeping Pokémon grunted in pain as he felt the jab from Siegfried's knife. Seel's eyes widened when he saw what Siegfried did to him.

"Snorlax!" Seel cried.

"I have him in place, attack him while you can!" Snorlax yelled while cringing in pain.

Tears were coming from Snorlax's eyes as the pain was excruciating. Snorlax wasn't sure if he was going to make it. The only thing that mattered to him was that his son was alright.

Back out in the forest

The clouds were getting thicker as Braixen was leading the way with all the Pokémon. They were all scared that they weren't going to see their parents ever again. Munchlax knew his father was strong, he knew that he would beat that maniac. There was no way he could lose.

Frogadier was in the back as was keeping watch. The Bubble Frog Pokémon could hear many screams and battle cries going on in there. This was the second time that Siegfried spotted them in less than twenty-four hours.

"Braixen, where are we going?" Smoochum asked as she kept running.

"To be honest, I don't know," Braixen answered, "Just away from here. Away from Siegfried."

As Braixen was running, she couldn't help but know how these Pokémon were feeling. They've lost their sanctuary, and they probably were going to lose their parents. Their lives were never going to be the same.

"I can't help but feel so powerless. I wish I could be stronger so that these Pokémon wouldn't suffer," Braixen thought to herself.

Frogadier was looking at the Pokémon who were scared and crying. Siegfried was just too powerful for him and Braixen to handle, and his deceased family was not able to do anything about it.

"Siegfried ruined our lives and now he's ruining these Pokémon's lives. And all I've done is be scared for my life. If I could become stronger, I would've made a difference," Frogadier thought to himself.

Braixen hit the brakes as she saw two figures out in the distance. Those figures looked familiar to the Fox Pokémon.

"What is it Braixen?" Elekid questioned.

"I wonder," Braixen said as she looked behind, "Frogadier come over here."

Frogadier heard Braixen and leaped on over to her side. He looked back to make sure no one was around, and it was an all-clear.

"You might want to get a closer look," Braixen told Frogadier.

Frogadier adjusted his eyes to try and make out the two figures running around. They were starting to hear sounds as if they were scared. The two figures were now looing visible as one of them was a yellow mouse and the other looked like a floating Pokedex.

Wait a minute!

"Pikachu and Rotom," Frogadier uttered.

"What?" Braixen questioned.

"What did he just say?" Magby questioned.

"Pikachu and Rotom Dex," Frogadier answered, "PIKACHU, ROTOM!"

Pikachu had tears coming from his eyes after having to flee from Ash and Serena, and while Rotom Dex couldn't cry, it was feeling sad while carrying their Pokeballs. Then they paused as they heard something.

"Do you hear that Pikachu?" Rotom Dex asked.

"I do, it sounds like…" Pikachu replied until he was cut off by Frogadier again.

"Pikachu, Rotom Dex!" Frogadier yelled.

The two looked to see Frogadier and Braixen standing with Frogadier waving his arms. Both smiled when they saw those two Pokémon. They found them.

"Frogadier, Braixen!" Pikachu cried.

Both the Pikachu and the Pokedex made a mad dash towards the two Kalos Pokémon.

"You know them?" Ponyta asked.

"Yeah, they travel with us," Braixen answered, "And more importantly, they're our friends."

Pikachu and Rotom Dex had looks of worry when they found them. Then they looked around to see all of the other Pokémon around them.

"We've been looking all over for you," Pikachu cried.

"Yeah, Ash and Serena have been worried sick about you two," Rotom Dex told them, "Especially since we've heard that horrible Siegfried guy is here."

The two Pokémon can now come to terms that their hearts were right Ash and Serena did care for them and they weren't going to leave them behind. At least they were aware that Siegfried was here.

"So, who are all these Pokémon?" Rotom Dex asked, "Are they friends of yours?"

"I actually have three questions. One, where is Ash and Serena? Two, what happened to them yesterday that made them disappear? And three, why are you holding their Pokeballs?" Frogadier asked.

Pikachu and Rotom Dex both looked incredibly worried. Ash and Serena had them run off with their Pokémon once they encountered Siegfried and they weren't sure what happened. But judging by their faces, they look grave.

"We'll explain everything," Pikachu uttered in a dark tone, "Right now we need to find Ash and Serena."

The way they heard Pikachu say that didn't sound promising. It sounded like the situation became grave. Frogadier and Braixen felt their souls tremble.

10 minutes later

Everyone was now marching through the woods as the storm could got darker. It was going to rain any second now. Frogadier and Braixen explained how they met the Pokémon who was with them, their encounter with Siegfried, their night in the grotto, and how Siegfried found out and Snorlax ordering them to leave with the younger Pokémon.

Pikachu and Rotom Dex explained about the ranger who yanked them out of the woods and forced them to stay in the Pokémon Center the whole night for their safety explaining why they weren't around when they came back from the lake, but Rotom Dex kept out the part about the rift that took place between Ash and Serena involving Team Rocket. Then came the hard part when they were out here and had to run off with their Pokémon because Siegfried was coming.

Frogadier and Braixen can now fully come to terms that they never wanted to leave, and that they actually risked their lives looking for them. Frogadier wasn't going to talk about Munchlax's relation that his father had to his father's Snorlax yet, but he was going to speak about it sometime.

"Do you remember where they were?" Braixen asked.

"I don't know, the last place we saw them was…" Rotom Dex stopped with horror on its face.

Pikachu's heart broke when he saw what laid on the ground. Frogadier and Braixen took a closer look and it wasn't pretty. All of the Pokémon took a look out to see what terrified the Pokémon. It wasn't a site to behold.

For the first time in their lives, Frogadier and Braixen were completely engulfed in what could be eternal sadness as their hearts broke with the site of what was in front of them.

They found Ash and Serena…but they weren't moving.

"No, it can't be," Pikachu choked.

Ash sprawled out on the ground with what appeared to be a fresh gunshot wound to the chest, and Serena was sprawled out the same way as she had a look of shock on her face. This was exactly what Pikachu and Rotom Dex feared when they told them to get away when Siegfried was coming their way.

"Ash," Frogadier choked up.

"Serena," Braixen choked up.

Both of the Kalos Pokémon walked gingerly towards their trainers feeling hurt. Pikachu and Rotom Dex had tears coming from their eyes while Munchlax, Elekid, Magby, Smoochum, and Ponyta all watched with tears from their eyes. While it didn't look like a complete war scene, it did touch the heart.

Frogadier was rapidly breathing as he saw Ash's lifeless body lying on the ground. The fact that he was shot, and he wasn't there to protect him. He wanted to do everything to protect him, and he failed.

Braixen remained on the verge crying as she struggled to hold back her tears. Serena was completely motionless as she picked her up. She tried to shake her, but there was no response. She wanted to be there for her, and she wasn't when she needed to be.

"No..." Frogadier muttered.

"Please, please tell me this is a nightmare," Braixen uttered.

They wished it was some sort of nightmare, but it wasn't. They were awake and the worst thing they've ever witnessed was right in front of them.

.

.

.

Ash Ketchum and Serena Gabena were dead.

"They're gone, they're gone," Pikachu choked up.

Thunder began to rumble all around, and the rain began to fall.

All of the Pokémon couldn't bear to see the scene. Two dead humans that those Pokémon were close to were taken away by Siegfried. Rotom Dex wasn't sure if the Pokémon in the Pokeballs knew yet, but it wasn't sure how to break the news. Munchlax who was already hurt leaving his home was now even more hurt to see that this inhuman being could just take away their friends like that.

"I'm so sorry," Munchlax said to Pikachu.

"It's not your fault," Rotom Dex sadly said, "It's Siegfried's fault."

They all look out to see Frogadier and Braixen crying and now hugging their deceased trainers. Being separated yesterday was one thing, but now knowing that was the last time they would see them alive. It was just to, hard to process.

"I also should blame that Shepard guy because if it weren't for him, none of this would've happened," Rotom Dex angrily said.

"So, you're saying that cold ranger was responsible for having Siegfried coming here killing everyone, and possibly killing our families at what may no longer be my home?" Munchlax cried.

"No, Siegfried coming here couldn't have been prevented by anyone," Rotom Dex said.

Everyone watched on as Frogadier and Braixen continue to cry. Many thoughts were running through Frogadier's and Braixen's heads.

Frogadier was recalling everything he had done with Ash. The day they first met, fighting off the Spearow, their gym battles together, their encounters with Team Rocket, and of course the day he evolved to fight off Archer's Crobat.

Braixen was reflecting on her time with Serena. There was the day they met, the Spearow flock, Team Rocket, all of their contests, and not to forget how she evolved to protect her and her moms from Team Rocket's men.

They went through everything with them, and they were still there when they were at their worst. Now, Siegfried has taken them away from them. The same hunter who took away their families has now taken away their trainers. We're these two Pokémon ever going to get happiness.

"That son of a bitch just wants to take everything from us," Frogadier choked up.

"Anytime we have a chance to smile, he always comes and takes it away from us," Braixen cried.

Frogadier and Braixen just couldn't take this anymore. They lose their family to him and gain another one, only to have him take it away from them too. The two Pokémon were starting to feel their calmness slip away. Frogadier and Braixen dropped Ash and Serena and began to tremble. As another sound of thunder came down, the two Pokémon snapped.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Frogadier and Braixen both screamed.

They screamed at the top of their lungs and there was only one thing in those screams, anger. As the rain poured harder, all of the Pokémon who were watching the two Pokémon could tell how much pain they were in. Then the next that happened as another thunderbolt struck…

Frogadier and Braixen both unleashed a blinding white light explosion.

All of the Pokémon cover their eyes as the light was so bright it nearly covered the entire area. Rotom Dex didn't cover its eyes since it was a Pokedex, however it wasn't able to see what was going on.

After a minute has passed, the white light finally dies down. With the rain still pouring and no one even bothered by the weather, everybody looks onward where Frogadier and Braixen were. Only those two Pokémon were gone.

Two different Pokémon took their place. The Pokémon that stood near Ash's body was a dark blue humanoid frog with a cream yellow belly, glazed eyes with pink pupils, a pink tongue like scarf, and he seemed to represent a ninja. The Pokémon that stood near Serena's body resembled a fox and a sorcerer, and she had a dark red lower body with a yellow tail, a yellow upper body with dark red hair coming out of her ears, red arms and she was holding a stick.

"Frogadier, Braixen?" Rotom Dex questioned.

The two Pokémon stood there, and their faces showed only one emotion. Pure rage. They turned around and all of the Pokémon were imitated by the way they looked. Their eyes showed pure hostility as they were aimed towards one person.

Siegfried.

"He must die," the new Pokémon said.

"Let's kill him," the other new Pokémon said.

Both of the Pokémon were no longer scared, or traumatized. They were angry and on a mission to kill Siegfried. He has killed too many Pokémon and ruined their lives. Frogadier and Braixen were not going to take it anymore as they were going to work together to get Siegfried out of their lives and make him suffer.

There was only one thing, they were no longer Frogadier and Braixen…they were now known as…Greninja and Delphox.

So yeah, Ash and Serena have been killed. I know you guys may be heartbroken to see that, but I know where I'm going with this. Just give it a couple of chapters and you'll see what's going to happen.

On a related note, their deaths triggered Frogadier and Braixen and they have evolved into Greninja and Delphox. I told you it was similar to something from Dragon Ball Z, which happened to be like the time Gohan went Super Saiyan two, with the Day of Fate theme.

Coming up next, the final showdown with Siegfried. Greninja and Delphox are pissed and are ready to kill him. As for our heroes Pokémon, they will appear in the fight eventually. They better hurry because Snorlax doesn't seem like he's going to last much longer.
