A/n I know an update for this story. This Coronavirus and being stuck at home is driving me crazy. I am an essential employee buton the weekends I can't go anywhere so figured I'd dust off old stories and try and continue/finish them.

"Can you believe we've been married for a year and that Mary is now two?" Greg asked as he and Nick were enjoying dinner out to celebrate their anniversary.

"I know, I can't believe time has gone by so fast. I wonder how things are going with Lindsey and the baby?" Nick said.

"I'm sure she's fine, I know that Catherine gave her all the same rules we did before we left. Do you want to text and check in on her?" he asked. Nick shook his head and took another bite of his pasta.

"I'm sure you're right. It's just hard, you know?"

"You know I do. Who struggled to leave when we first brought her home and had to call every thirty minutes at first?" Greg argued back.

"That's true. I'm glad Warrick finally asked Cath to marry him. Hopefully the weather cooperates for them. June weddings can be unpredictable." They finished the rest of their dinner and headed back home to finish celebrating their anniversary.

"Thanks for watching her. How was she Linds?" Nick questioned.

"She was pretty good. She got a little mad at bedtime but I told her you'd both check on her when you got home," the teenager answered.

"Here's the money for tonight, see you at the cookout at your mom and Warrick's on Sunday," Greg said handing her the money. Lindsey nodded and began heading for the door.

"Is your mom or Rick here?" Nick asked.

"Mom is," Lindsay replied. Nodding Nick waved at Catherine through the window as Lindsey made her way to the car.

After Lindsey left the two of them went and looked in on their sleeping daughter. She was curled up in a ball in her crib clutching the bear Sara had given her shortly after they adopted her.

"She's so precious," Nick murmured.

"That she is," Greg agreed. "I'm not looking forward to when she's ready for a toddler bed," the lab rat turned CSI commented.

"I'm not either, but that will come before we're ready for it," Nick lamented.

"Yeah, I know," Greg murmured. He stood there deep in thought while they watched Mary sleep.

"You okay, G? You look like somethings on your mind," Nick commented.

"Well, that's because it is," Greg admitted.

"What is it?" Nick asked.

"Why don't we go talk in our room so we don't wake her up," Greg suggested.

"Good idea," Nick agreed as he reached for Greg's hand and led him to their bedroom. Settling on the bed Nick turned to give his husband his undivided attention.

"I think I want to start looking into adopting another child. I'm ready to expand our family," Greg said softly. A broad smile crossed Nick's face.

"Yes, I am to. I've been thinking about it for a couple of months now but was just waiting for the right time to talk to you about it."

"Well then, let's get started. I can call Terry and ask if she can help us or who she would recommend," Greg said.

"That sounds good," Nick replied with a yawn.

"How about we go to sleep for now and talk m as he pulled Nick closer.

"Okay, but we need to finish getting ready for bed first," Nick answered as he pulled himself from Greg's grasp and began getting ready for bed.
