The Ravanger's Prisoners / A Happy Family:

On the main ship, Yondu and Rocket were tied to chairs whilst Groot was locked in a cage. Meredith meanwhile was shacked on a chain-lead that Taserface kept a tight grip on. She also had metal bands locked around her paws like the ones that were used on her back at the Kyln to prevent her from changing size and so attempting to escape.

Taserface took the greatest pleasure in hauling her around like a naughty pet. But that was nothing compared to how all the Ravangers who had sized with Yondu was being throw out to space, to drift around in deadly coldness and a unbreathable vacuum. Over fifty of them were now floating and drifting out as lifeless bodies in cosmos for good. Every Ravanger who had sided with Taserface partied and cheered as they got rid of every single traitor. As they disposed of the last one, Taserface marched up to a beaten up Yondu, pulling Meredith along like a 'bad' dog.

"You're the one who killed those men by leading them down the wrong path because you're weak!" he punched the former captain in the face, raising a wave of cheering. "And stupid!" He punched Yondu again, causing his nose to bleed severely. "It's time for the Ravangers to rise once again to glory with a new captain: Taserface!"

"Yeah!" the Ravangers roared, eager to be victorious once again with a captain who they saw as 'stronger in leadership' compared to Taserface.

He was babbling for joy when he heard Hippocratic laughing behind him from Rocket.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, your name is, it's Taserface?"

"That's right."

"Do you shoot Tasers out of your face?" Rocket asked playfully, thinking the name was a play on a habit.

"It's metaphorical!" Taserface roared.

Rocket wasn't convinced. "For what?"

"For...It is a name what strikes fear into the hearts of anyone who hears it!"

His new crew hesitated though they didn't want to disappoint him.

"Yeah...Ok, whatever you say."

"You shut up! You're next!" Taserface pointed a curved knife at him. He turned his attention back to Yondu. "Udonta, I've waited a long time for this..." he heard snickering behind him again and realised Rocket couldn't contain his mocking. "What?"

"Sorry, I'm so sorry, I just keep imagining you waking up in the morning, looking in the mirror and in all seriousness to yourself saying 'You know what would be a really kick-ass name? Taserface!'. That's how I hear you in my head! What was your second choice? Scrotumhead?"

The Ravangers burst out into peals of laughter. Rocket's joke just too prone to laughter.

Taserface roared and pushed Rocket's chair back, leaning in closer so Rocket could see his fuming eyes of fury. "New plan! We're killing you first!"
"Well, dying is certainly better than living an entire life as a moronic shithead who thinks Taserface is a cool name." Rocket said. "Kill me if you want but let Groot and Meredith go,"

"No! I've waited a long time to have that pet on a leash again!" Taserface pulled on Meredith's chain so hard that she screeched out in pain as she felt was being strangled.

"Hey leave her alone!" Rocket bit at Taserface. Taserface managed to pull back his nose but this was the last straw. He attempted to stab his knife into Rocket who shrunk back in shock but was interrupted by a familiar female.

"That's enough killing for today!" Nebula ordered from the other side of the room.

The Ravangers and Taserface stared at her. She stalked forward at an easy pace. The crew of space-pirates murmured vulgar gossip amongst themselves. "She's the daughter of Thanos," one said.

Taserface started at her with a distrust look. She may had stunned Yondu but it didn't mean she trusted her. "Thought you were the biggest sadist in the galaxy."

"That was when Daddy was paying my bills. The Priestess wants to kill the fox herself. And he has bounties on his head in at least twelve Kree provinces. I assure you, I am not as easy a mark as an old man without his magic stick or a talking woodland beast. I want ten percent of the take, and a couple more things..." Nebula requested.

Rocket growled at her, vowing to get revenge on her for getting him, Meredith and Groot caught.

Nebula was given a red Ravanger Suit to replace her raggy purple suit. She also had a new better prosthetic arm with an actual fake hand added to her body as well.

Kraglin took her to the ship wing to give her one of their ships. "We got a whole box of hands if that one don't work out."

"It's fine."

"You think them Kree is gonna execute the Cap'n?" Kraglin sounded worried, feeling guilty for how his defiance against Yondu had killed all those Ravangers who were thrown out into space.

"The Kree consider themselves merciful. It will be painless." Nebula simply answered.

"Well, there it is, best ship we got," Kraglin showed her a giant red one that looked brank new. "The location of Ego's planet's in the nav. We'll wire you the ten percent when we's paid. What you gonna do with your share?"

Nebula held a dark look at his face, revenge was hidden behind those dark eyes. "As a child my father would have Gamora and me battle one another in 'training.' Every time my sister prevailed my father would replace a piece of me with machinery, claiming he wanted me to be her equal. But she won, again and again and again. Never once refraining. She and my father did this to me. So after I murder my sister, I will buy a warship with every conceivable instrument of death. I will hunt my father like a dog and I will tear him apart slowly, piece by piece, until he knows some semblance of the profound and unceasing pain I know every single day!"

Kraglin was shocked by her speech of revenge. "Yeah... I was talking about, like, a pretty necklace. Or a nice hat. Something that'll make the other girls go 'oooooo, that's nice,"

Nebula glared at him. Was he stupid? Why would she want a necklace or hate. "Anyway, uh, happy trails." Kraglin awkwardly patted Nebula on the back and walked away.

Nebula boared her ship and turned on the energy, setting a course for Ego's planet. She would not rest until her sister was dead, until she had paid for all the pain she had caused Thanos to do to her. She didn't care whether they were children at that time or not; it was Gamora's constant winning that led to all her tortue.

Back on his planet, Ego had taken his children privately to one of his private gardens to a large fountain where a tall statue of Meredith towered over them in the centre.

"Our mother told everyone that our father was from the stars. She had cancer so everyone thought she was delusional."

"Peter...Tina," Ego wanted to speak them again, to try and calm them down.

"Look, we would love to believe this, I really would but you left the most wonderful woman ever. To die! Alone!" Tina shouted.

"I didn't want to leave your mother, guys! If I don't return regularly to my planet and the light within it, this form will wither and perish."

"So why didn't you come back? Why did you send Yondu and his brother, criminals of all people, to come and fetch us?" Peter demanded as they faced him again.

"I loved your mother, guys! I couldn't stand to set foot on an earth where she wasn't living, you can't imagine what that's like!"

"We know exactly what that feels like! We had to watch her die!" Peter shouted.

"We had to spent twenty-six years raised by selfish pirates whilst grieving for her, unable to move on, unable to lift that awful image out our heads…unable to even think about her…where were you when that happened?" Tina sounded hurt as tears spilled out.

Ego took a moment for them to calm down before he continued. "...Over the millions and millions of years of my existence, I have made many mistakes, Peter. But you are not one of them. Please give me the chance to be the father that she would have wanted me to be. There is so much that I need to teach you both about this planet and the light within. They are part of you two."

The twins didn't retort at him a moment a longer. Instead they remained calm, and became curious about what their other half of their heritage meant

"What do you mean?"

"Give me your hands. Here, hold them like that," he carefully placed each pair of hands together. "Now, close your eyes and concentrate. Think of the brain in the centre of this planet,"

Peter and Tina closed their eyes together, and did exactly what their father instructed. They thought carefully of their father's brain in the centre of this planet, they suddenly a great power beyond anything they imagined flowing from their cores to the tips of their fingers.

Blast

"YES! YES!" Ego cheered for them.

"Whoa!" both gasped as they caught a glimpse of white cosmic energy burst out of their fingertips.

"What was that?" Peter gasped.

"What just happened?" Tina freaked out.

"It's alright you tow, just relax and concentrate, bring it back, yes!"

Peter and Tina did it again.

"Now shape it, feel that energy.

The twins each formed balls in their ends.

"Yes, your home."

Peter got an idea of what they could do with their balls of energy. He tossed it to Ego who caught it. Tina passed her ball to Peter. Ego tossed Peter's ball to Tina. It was turned into a ball game. The three spread away from each other and they laughed and cheered as they played all together; they were happy at last; they were a reunited family.

For the first time ever, Peter and Tina felt like they had finally found a family and a happy home. It seemed they had finally found what they were looking for.
