AN1: I am so sorry that it has been so long since there has been an update. I am going to try to get back to all the stories I haven't updated in a while, and I'll see how I go. I'm also in my last year of Law School so it may not happen how I am imagining it, but for now I am going to attempt to alternate between updating this and updating To Make a Better World.

A little while after Melinda started to teach Daisy a few new things she has taught Daisy several things that she will remember and the two of them, Ward, Phil, Fitz and Simmons are all back in the command centre, discussing the plan for the mission.

"Daisy, with Hunter as her plus one, will walk in the front door," Phil explains, "The only external access point to Quinn's underground facility is from a beach cove," Phil explains, "A two-man extraction team could slip in there, but it's not easy," Phil explains and as he does Melinda knows what Phil is going to say, and she knows what she has to do, even though it is hard for her, "Fitz-Simmons," He says.

"The perimeter is surrounded by a twenty-foot-high neodymium laser grid. Touch it and your toast," Fitz explains.

"Dead toast," Phil corrects, "The only way to disable the grid is to crack the system and trigger a reboot," Phil explains, "This would give the team three seconds to cross," He says, "Of course, Quinn's too smart to allow any wireless access on his property," Phil explains.

"That's where I come in," Daisy realises.

"Yes, working compact, holds up under x-ray," Simmons explains, showing Daisy a compact mirror.

"Desert rose to match your complexion," Fitz says to Daisy.

"Huh, I didn't know I was desert rose," Daisy admits, and Melinda gives her daughter a look, "What?" she asks, and Melinda just shakes her head, and as she does Daisy has a closer look, thinking it's kind of cool.

"It's also a readout," Fitz explains, clearly talking about the compact. "Turns green if you're in close enough proximity to a computer to gain wireless access," Fitz explains.

"When it does you just drop this nearby and walk out. We'll do the rest, easy as pie," Simmons explains.

"Or it will be if you stick to the plan," Ward adds, and Daisy rolls her eyes.

"I've got it Ward, plan, green, drop walk, pie," Daisy explains, as her Mother and uncle walk away from the others. "Let me see that thing," Daisy requests, wanting to get a better look at the tech, as she has spent so long listening to her father and brother talk about various tech that she is a little interested, and Fitz and Simmons show it to her.

"Phil," Melinda says, walking towards him. "I will be on that two-person team," Melinda informs Phil, who is a little surprised, but he also completely understands Melinda's reasons.

"I thought you wanted to avoid combat?" Phil asks.

"I do, but if Daisy is going in then so I need to as well," Melinda explains.

"Okay," Phil says, with a nod. "You and Ward will be the two-man team," He says.

"We can't be. There needs to be someone on the plane who can pilot just in case," Melinda points out.

"Then it will be you and I," Phil says, resisting the urge to make a comment about the old days. "Ward will stay on the plane," He says, and that gets Ward's attention.

"Sir, do you really think that's a best idea, you're not a specialist," Ward points out.

"May's right, we need a pilot on the plane," Phil explains. "And I saw plenty of action with the Avengers," Phil says, before walking out of the command centre.

"And you died," Melinda mutters to herself, knowing she will do whatever she has to do to make sure that doesn't happen again, as if she was there then maybe it wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Realising something Daisy quickly leaves the command centre through the door closest to her,

"MOM," Daisy calls as she runs towards her mother, who turns around. "You don't want to do field work, you've made me clear, but you're doing this for me, aren't you?" Daisy asks, and her mother nods, "I… thank you," Daisy responds, before hugging her mother. "You don't have to do this for me. Uncle Phil and Ward can be the two person team," Daisy assures her mother, knowing that this is a big deal, as the two of them break apart.

"Actually, I do," Melinda says, as she plays with her daughters' hair and pushes it behind her shoulder. "If you're going to do this then I am too," Melinda assures her daughter. "But that's not on you Daisy, it's my choice," She explains, as she doesn't want Daisy to feel bad about her decision because knowing her daughter she likely will.

"Okay," Daisy says, "I love you Mom, so much."

"I love you too," Melinda says, hugging her daughter, and holding her close.

"I should go get ready, I guess we both need to," Daisy realises, as the two of them break apart.

"We do," Melinda confirms and Daisy heads to her bunk while Melinda goes to check to make sure they have all the supplies they need for the mission; while resisting the urge to call Tony back and tell him everything as she knows he would go to Quinn's party if he knew, even if he has to crash.

A while after Daisy and Melinda's conversation Daisy has changed into a pink dress and is sitting at a café in Malta drinking an iced coffee and waiting for Hunter,

"Hey Trouble," A very familiar voice says and Daisy turns to see Hunter walking towards her wearing a suit, though no tie.

"Lance," Daisy says, happily running towards him and hugging him. "I've missed you soo much."

"I've missed you too, Daze," Hunter says, as her returns the hug of the person who will always be a sister to him, no matter what his relationship with Bobbi is, as the two of them break apart. Once they do they both walk back over to Daisy's table and sits down. "So, you want to explain how the hell you got involved in something like this?" he asks curious, as he can't imagine how this would have happened.

"Mom went back into the field. I snuck onto the plane and got Mom and Dad to agree to let me stay for six weeks. I help out where I can," Daisy explains, having first checked to make sure no one is around.

"Really?" Hunter asks, having head enough from Bobbi to know that that is a very big deal.

"Really," Daisy confirms. "It's been fun."

"Does…" Hunter starts to ask, before trailing off, but Daisy realises exactly what he is asking.

"Bobbi knows," Daisy reveals. "Last time I talked to her she seemed good, busy, but good," Daisy explains, knowing that Hunter will likely want to know that but won't want to ask.

"Oh good," Hunter responds, and Daisy isn't overly sure if he means that.

"Have you guys talked lately?" Daisy asks curious, doing so hesitantly.

"We've crossed paths," Hunter answers, doing so because Daisy is Bobbi's sister, and that is the only thing that stops him from talking the way he usually would.

"Right, vague answer means I don't want to know the truth," Daisy realises.

"You really don't," Hunter assures her. "So, what's the mission?" he asks as all he needed to hear from Daisy before he agreed is that she needed his help in Malta.

"Someone has been taken by Ian Quinn. I've got an invitation with a plus one to his party," Daisy explains. "We're gonna go in, use a readout to get wireless access to Quinn's system to disable his security so Mom and Uncle Phil can get….."

"Did you just say Uncle Phil?" Hunter asks, looking shocked.

"Yeah," Daisy confirms. "He's alive, Fury lied to everyone." Daisy explains. "He's good," Daisy explains, with a grin, it being clear that she is glad about that fact.

"Bloody hell," Hunter says, looking shocked. "Bob didn't tell me," He reveals. Honestly, considering he was there for Bobbi after Phil died, after the Battle of New York, he would have expected her to tell him something like that.

"She probably didn't know yet when you two 'crossed paths'," Daisy admits. "Once Mom and Uncle Phil have gotten in they're going to rescue the person who's been abducted and get us out," She explains.

"Okay, sounds like a simple plan," Hunter admits. "But you do realise plans often turn to rubbish, right?" he asks.

"Yeah, the stories I've heard tell me that much," Daisy reveals.

"Good," Hunter says, with a grin. "We should get going, we've got a party to crash," Hunter says, looking excited.

"Pretty sure it's not crashing when we have an invitation," Daisy comments, as she stands up.

"Pretty sure it is," Hunter responds, as he too stands up and the two of them start to walk. Hunter knowing he will do whatever he has to do to keep Daisy safe, while Daisy knows that she doesn't want to need Hunter's help, she wants to prove that she can do this.

A little while after Daisy and Hunter left the café the two of them have gotten into Quinn's party without a problem.

"Um, what do we do?" Daisy asks Hunter in a whisper, realising that she didn't ask that.

"Mingle," Hunter says, taking two glasses of champagne and handing one to Daisy, who gives him a look. "You're seventeen, that's close enough," he reveals, with a shrug.

"No, it's not," Ward says, through the coms, having realised what is going on. "Don't even think about it, Daisy," He says, in a warning voice. "Just because your Mom isn't on coms right now doesn't mean you can get away with drinking," He says, it being more than clear that he will tell Melinda if Daisy drinks.

"Drinking age in Malta is sixteen Ward," Daisy informs him, through the coms. "But I better not chance it," Daisy says, putting the full glass back on the tray, as she is pretty sure that her mother wouldn't take that as an excuse once Ward tells her, though she suspects that her father will either be amused or furious, and considering his history with alcohol she honestly isn't sure which is the most likely reaction.

"Then you should at least eat to blend in," Hunter says, handing Daisy a hors d'oeuvre.

"I'll happily eat free food," Daisy says, before taking a bite.

"Same," Hunter admits, and the two of them exchange amused looks, and once he takes and swallows the bite of food he had, Hunter realises something. "Daisy, there's the big guy, that's who you're looking for, right?"

"Right." Daisy confirms.

"Do you want to talk to him, or do you want me to?" Hunter asks, knowing it's Daisy's call, but he is completely willing to help.

"I've got this," Daisy answers.

"Okay, I won't be far away," Hunter assures her.

"Thanks," Daisy says, looking relieved, before walking over to Quinn who is talking to other guests. "Ian Quinn, I'm your last-minute party crasher, Skye," Daisy explains, sticking out her hand to shake, and using her hacking name as that's who got the invitation.

"Oh, wow. Great to meet you," Quinn says, looking surprised. "Um, this is Skye, a member of the Rising Tide," He explains, not knowing that that is a lie as Daisy made a cover making it seem like that's what she is. "They're a group of hackers. They've gotten some pretty big secrets out to the public," Quinn comments.

''I prefer 'hacktivist," Daisy says, as she really does think that's a better term, and she is pretty sure her Dad could help with getting a better one. "I'm glad you've heard of our site," Daisy says, as it helped her a lot as while she suspected that Quinn was a fan of the Rising Tide she knew there was a chance that she was wrong.

"I read it," Quinn reveals. "We think very much alike, more freedom of information, less government infringing on everyone's right, I'm a fan," Quinn says.

"That explains the invite, this is a tough party to get into," Daisy admits.

"Not as hard to get into as the encrypted back channel you contacted us through to request the invite," Quinn says, and Daisy laughs.

"That's sort of where I live," Daisy admits, smiling slightly.

"You've got to show me how you did that," Quinn says. "I mean, if you sign on," Quinn explains.

"Sign what, now?" Daisy asks, looking confused, as she can't imagine what Quinn is talking about.

"I've been known to turn a few black hats into white hats, not just for vulnerability analysis, but for very creative thinking," Quinn says.

"A…are you offering me a job?" Daisy asks, looking shocked, not being able to imagine a world where she would accept that offer, as if she would want the kind of job Quinn is offering then she would just go her Dad and Pepper, and ask for a job at Stark.

"Well, I didn't invite you here for your adorable face. I didn't know you had an adorable face," Quinn says, and Daisy has to fight to pull a face. "Yes, I want to hire you before someone else snatches you up," Quinn says, before walking away, leaving Daisy standing in surprise as she wasn't expecting that.

"Did that go well?" Hunter asks, walking up to Daisy.

"I'm not sure," Daisy admits.

"Want me to kick his ass?" Hunter asks curious, being able to tell that Daisy is bothered by something.

"That would screw with the mission, and we can't have that," Daisy responds.

"You sound just like your sister," Hunter comments.

"I'm gonna take that as a compliment, even if you didn't mean it as one," Daisy admits, as both she and Hunter start to listen to Quinn's speech,

"…. This country where we are allowed to pursue progress and profit without the stranglehold of regulations that are now choking our world. The United States government, the E.U., the DRTC, S.H.I.E.L.D. ..." Quinn starts to say.

"This is the best chance we're gonna get. Go, I'll make sure you're not followed," Hunter whispers to Daisy.

"Okay," Daisy says, and she carefully disappears through the crowed and heads into the building, and as she does Hunter watches carefully to make sure she's not followed.

While Hunter and Daisy are inside Quinn's property Melinda and Phil are just reaching the beach cove.

"You and me, together again, like the old days," Phil says, and Melinda gives him a look, one that he is very familiar with the meaning off, "When we get in I'll talk to Hall."

"That would be best," Melinda says, and the two of them continue to walk in silence.

Not long after she left Hunter Daisy has made her way to Quinn's office, but has found a complication,

"Um, we've got a problem. It's locked, but there's no lock," Daisy explains, wishing she could talk to JARVIS right now as he could tell her exactly how to get in.

"Check for a keypad," Fitz tells her and Daisy looks.

"Nothing," Daisy comments. "Could you hack a keypad?" she asks, curious.

"No, not over the phone," Fitz admits.

"Is there a reception desk?" Ward asks, and Daisy looks around.

"Okay, yeah," Daisy says, hurrying over. "What do I do?" Daisy asks.

"What are you trying to do?" a voice asks, and Daisy turns to see Quinn who managed to get passed Hunter.

"Looking for a pen," Daisy says, trying to cover and it is the first thing she can think off. "Here we go," Daisy says, finding a pen and picking up. "Got to write down all those good ideas, you know what I mean?" Daisy asks, realising that she is starting to ramble but not sure what else to do. "Of course, you know what I mean. Probably have like ten pens for all your ideas," Daisy says, as she quickly tries to wrack her brain for a plan, as she wonders where the hell Hunter is.

"What are you really doing?" Quinn asks, and as he does Daisy gets an idea, the question is whether she can pull it off.

"All right. I'm busted. I was trying to get a glimpse behind your office doors, see how things really operate," Daisy covers.

"I invite you hear as a guest, and you treat me like another corrupt institution, looking for trade secrets to leak online," Quinn says, as he raises his phone to his mouth, Security…" he starts to say, and Daisy reaches over and puts her arm on his,

"No, no, wait," Daisy says, trying to keep the panic out of her voice. "It's just, with all these la-di-da people you have to be so guarded, so careful," Daisy says, turning and starting to write on a piece of paper. "What you say, what secrets you reveal," Daisy says, as she continues to write. "And I was hoping that you and I could be honest with one another. If you know what I mean," Daisy says, showing Quinn a piece of paper that has 'S.H.I.E.L.D Is listening' on it as honestly it is the only way she can think of that will enable her to still pull of her mission.

Seeing what is on the paper Quinn nods and leads Daisy into the office, "Wow, a view of the ocean and the pool," Daisy comments.

"Not a bad place to do business," Quinn responds, as Daisy takes out her ear piece and drops it in champagne, knowing her mother and Uncle Phil are likely going to worry, but it's the best way to do what she has to do.

"Much better. Haven't felt that 'someone's watching my every move' feeling since I failed my drivers test," Daisy comments, drawing on every single one of the stories that members of her family have told and realising that telling 'half-truths' is the best option at the moment.

"You want to tell me what the hell's going on?" Quinn asks. "S.H.I.E.L.D got to you?" Quinn asks, and Daisy has to stop herself from reacting to the irony in that comment.

"They picked me up in LA, I helped them, and now they want to recruit me," Daisy explains, continuing to go with her half-truths in hopes she can stall long enough for her to either be able to pull of her mission or for Hunter to show up.

"Of course, they did," Quinn says, not looking all surprised.

"So, I played along, talk about inside info, I have a bunk on their plane," Daisy explains, being pretty sure that thanks to the way she grew up she knows more intel than most lower level S.H.I.E.L.D agents. "I've been biding my time until I could become useful. I thought this qualified," Daisy admits.

"Why would they trust you with a covert operation like this?" Quinn asks, finding things suspicious, and once more Daisy has to stop herself from reacting the way her instincts are telling her to.

"Something about S.H.I.E.L.D not breaking international laws. They had no other option, whereas I like to keep mine open," Daisy explains, sitting down on the couch.

While Daisy is inside Quinn's office Melinda and Phil, to their horror, have found out that Daisy is offline and both of them are extremely worried about that, especially because they know they are Daisy, and Hunter's, way out.

Inside Quinn's office he has explained to her what he suspects is the reason why Daisy was 'recruited' by S.H.I.E.L.D, and Daisy knows that while he made a couple of good points he is completely wrong.

"You stay with us, there's no secrets, no lies, and no agender. You're free to do what you do without big brother watching over you," Quinn explains. "But first, you have to tell me exactly what agenda S.H.I.E.L.D sent you in here with," He explains, and as he does Daisy realises that this may be the opportunity she has been waiting for.

"Well, they wanted me to do whatever it takes to get in here," Daisy says, opening the compact, making it look like she is just checking her reflection.

"Get in here and…." Quinn starts to say.

"But my eyes, get you talking," Daisy says, once the read out turns green she closes it and puts it on the table.

"No, you can't be the only angle, S.H.I.E.L.D's thorough enough to know about me and my exploits." Quinn says. "It takes more than a pretty face to disarm me," He says.

"Sir, we have a security breach," A man says, running into the room.

"Oh, the timing on that was perfect," Daisy says, with a laugh, before Quinn grabs a gun from one of his men and points it at Daisy, who quickly gets to her feet, as Quinn moves closer to her.

"Don't you get it? S.H.I.E.L.D's against everything you stand for, they're big brother," Quinn says, and as he does the door to the room opens and Daisy sees Hunter, which automatically makes her feel better.

"No, S.H.I.E.L.D's family, and family always has each other's back," Daisy says, not realising the huge clue she gave away, before using what her grandmother taught her so that she can get the gun of Quinn.

Before Quinn can even react to the fact that Daisy has the gun Hunter is pulling Quinn back from Daisy and punches him, knocking him to the ground.

"Where the hell were you?" Daisy asks, looking at her former brother in law with an annoyed look on her face.

"Ran into someone who I may own money to," Hunter admits.

"Of course, you did," Daisy says, as she hands the gun over to Hunter knowing it is the better choice.

"Let's get out of here," Hunter says, taking Daisy's hand as more security hurry into the room, and knowing it is the best way out Daisy and Hunter run out into the balcony, over it and they both land in the pool.

Seconds after they landed in the pool both Daisy and Hunter make it back to the surface.

"Are you okay?" Hunter akas concerned.

"Yeah," Daisy says, with a nod. "Mom and Uncle Phil should be here by now," Daisy realises.

"Then let's go meet them," Hunter says, as he swims over the edge, making sure Daisy is right besides him.

"Stay close, okay," Hunter tells Daisy as he throws the gun back into the pool, realising that it would be no use right now.

"Okay," Daisy says, and the two of them hear gunshots and so Hunter once more grabs Daisy's hand and the two of them start running, Hunter knowing he is going to do whatever he can to protect his little sister.

Over the next minute or so Daisy and Hunter run until they find themselves surrounded by Men and knowing what he has to do Hunter pushes Daisy behind him, doing what he can to protect her, but before he can start to take them down several of the men get taken down by Melinda and so Hunter takes down the last one.

"Mom," Daisy says, looking relieved, as she runs towards her mother and hugs her.

"Are you hurt?" Melinda asks her daughter worried.

"No, I'm fine," Daisy assures her mother.

"Then just stay with me. I'll get us out of here," Melinda assures her daughter. "Let's move we've got to meet up with Uncle Phil," Melinda says, looking between Daisy and Hunter, and ladder of whom nods.

Over the next ten or so minutes Melinda, Daisy, and Hunter meet up with Phil who was with Doctor Hall, and once it becomes clear that Doctor Hall isn't going to reverse what he did, something which had the potential to sink the entire compound, Phil is forced to shoot out the floor below Doctor Hall, causing him to fall into the Gravitonium.

After failing to save Hall Phil, Melinda, Hunter, and Daisy make it back to the beach cove, where they are all getting ready to leave.

"It was good seeing you again, Daze," Hunter says, as he hugs Daisy.

"You too," Daisy says, as she and Hunter break apart. "Do you need a lift anywhere, we've got a pretty cool plan, and I'm sure we can take you where you need to go," Daisy says, looking between her mother and Phil.

"Of course, we can. Thank you for your help today, Hunter," Phil says.

"I was happy to help," Hunter admits, "And thanks for the offer, but I already have my next job not far from here," He reveals, and then deciding to try his luck he quickly gives Melinda a hug too, "Mum," Hunter says, as Melinda pushes him a way, in a joking way, not being as annoyed as she seems to be. "Coulson, I'm glad you're okay, Mate," Hunter says, sticking out his hand.

"I am too," Phil admits, even though he is pretty sure he is feeling a little rusty, as he and Hunter shake hands.

"I'm sure I'll see you soon," Hunter says, before going in one direction while Melinda, Daisy, and Phil go in another.

A while later Daisy, Phil, and Melinda are back on the bus, and Daisy is lying on her bed in her bunk. After a few moments of hesitation Dais pulls out her phone and calls her father.

"Daze? What's wrong? It's the middle of the night," Tony says, sounding worried.

"Sorry, I didn't realise it was that late, I'll go," Daisy says.

"Daze wait!" Tony exclaims. "What's going on, Tiny Toni?" he asks concerned.

"You're right about Ian Quinn, he's not just a dick, but evil," Daisy comments.

"Daisy, what happened?" Tony asks, feeling more worried the more his daughter said.

"Quinn is a bad guy. We found out. He had a party earlier. I managed to get invitation, for me and Hunter, we went undercover," Daisy explains.

"What happened?" Tony asks worried, knowing that his daughter wouldn't be sounding freaked if nothing happened. "Daze, talk to me."

"Quinn, he found out I was spying, pointed a gun at me. I did what Grandma taught me and got it off him, pointed it at him, and thankfully before I had to make a decision Hunter punched the guy, but I don't know if I could have pulled the Trigger," Daisy admits.

"Daze that's okay," Tony tells his daughter. "What did your Aunt Nat tell you when she taught you to use a gun?" he asks, having heard all about what happened.

"That not pulling the trigger is okay, but Dad I was on a mission, a mission I talked Mom and Uncle Phil into letting me do," Daisy explains.

"And doesn't change anything," Tony tells his daughter. "You have an amazing heart Tiny Toni, you have since the day you were born, and so it's okay if you can't pull the trigger of a gun," Tony tells his daughter. "Hurting someone, even if it's to protect yourself or someone else should be hard, it means you're human," Tony assures his daughter.

"Have you ever hesitated?" Daisy asks curious.

"Yeah, I have," Tony assures his daughter. "And you know what everyone, me, your Mom, Bobbi, Antoine, Sharon, your Uncles and Aunts, have all hesitated at some point. It's normal," Tony assures his daughter.

"Yeah?" Daisy asks.

"Yeah," Tony confirms.

"I love you, Dad. I should let you get back to sleep," Daisy tells her father.

"We can keep talking I you want," Tony tells his daughter.

"Nah, it's okay. Night Dad," Daisy says, before hanging up before her father can object further.

While her daughter is on the phone Tony Melinda is walking into Phil's office where she finds her friend attempting to take a gun apart but failing to do so.

"Used to have this down. Should be just muscle memory," Phil comments to himself.

"You're making a habit of it, Phil," Melinda comments, from the doorway.

"Trying," Phil answers. "Guess I'm a little rusty."

"Of these close calls I mean," Melinda answers, as she walks towards Phil. "I don't like not being there to watch your back, nor do I like watching Daisy in danger."

"You want off the plane?" Phil asks, knowing it will be hard for him to say goodbye to her. "Go ahead."

"No," Melinda answers. "Reporting for combat next, and every, time it's up," Melinda reveals.

"You committed to the cause or just watching my back?" Phil asks curious.

"Same thing, and you are a little rusty," Melinda says, before heading out of Phil's office, and as she walks out of the office her phone rings and seeing Tony on the caller ID Melinda goes into her Bunk.

"Hey," Melinda says, as she walks into her bunk and closes the door. "It's late, what are you doing up?"

"Daze called me," Tony explains, "She told me what happened, Mel, she doesn't seem okay."

"Damn it," Melinda says, with a sigh. "I tried to talk her out of this mission, but she's stubborn, wouldn't say no, and with her was the only way we could do the mission."

"She's just like you," Tony comments.

"Sometimes, I'm not sure that's a good thing," Melinda admits.

"I am," Tony comments, and Melinda smiles slightly. "So…. Ian Quinn's a bad guy."

"I know, I know. You can say I told you so," Melinda comments, looking amused.

"Nah, I'm bigger than that," Tony jokes. "How'd Hunter get involved on the mission?"

"Daisy called him," Melinda explains. "And honestly, I'm glad he was here."

"Huh, guess he can be useful," Tony comments, and the two of them drift into silence.

"Tony, I volunteered for combat, next time it's up," Melinda tells her husband. "I can't just run back end while Daisy and Phil are doing missions."

"I know. I figured it would only be a matter of time," Tony admits. "How you feeling about it?"

"Scared," Melinda admits, knowing that if it was anyone other than Tony then she probably wouldn't admit that. "But I know this is what I have to do," She reveals. "How's Peter?" Melinda asks, clearly changing the subject.

"Good," Tony admits, with a smile that Melinda can hear in his voice, and he starts to explain everything that's been going on with their son and Melinda explains what's been going on with their daughter.

Well over an hour later Melinda and Tony only just finished talking, the two of them ending up talking about everything about their children. After hanging up with Tony, Melinda who is about to go to sleep heads to Daisy's bunk to check on her.

Walking into her daughter's bunk Melinda sees that Daisy is lying in her bed, but she has clearly been tossing and turning and so her blanket has fallen on the floor.

Seeing that Melinda walks over and picks up the blanket, which she uses to one more cover Daisy up,

"Sweet dreams, Sweetheart, I love you," Melinda says, kissing her daughters head as she tucks her in.

"Mommy, don't go," Daisy says as Melinda goes to walk away, opening her eyes. "I mean…can you stay?" Daisy asks, looking slightly embarrassed.

"Of course, I can," Melinda says, moving and lying in bed next to her daughter, as even though it has been a while this is clearly what Daisy needs right now. "Go back to sleep, Daisy, I'm right here, I'm not going to leave," Melinda assures her daughter, who snuggles into her side and before long Daisy is fast asleep feeling safe next to her mother, even after the day she just had.
