A/N: Hey everyone, I finally got this chapter down. I wrote it by hand first as it is easier for me to get my ideas out.
"Shujaa, what are you doing?", asked Simba as he padded up to his son who was staring at Kiara's grave.
"Something isn't adding up. A body just doesn't disappear like that", the young lion thought to himself. Then he spoke up.
"I don't think she's dead." The King quizzically cocked his brow. This is impossible! He had the unspeakable horror of witnessing his cub die. The red maned lion did not want to believe it, but the facts were all there. It had been years since the princess' death and her body remained unchanged.
"I think you're right. We have to find her! Who knows what pain she must be in.", Simba worriedly declared. They searched for hours, but to no avail.
In the small den not far from Pride Rock, Kiara awoke freshly energized for the day. She wanted so badly to see her family. Stretching, she jogged out of the cave, going in the direction of Pride Rock.
"Where could she have gone?!", a familiar voice growled in frustration.
"Maybe she's here.", a younger voice answered as they came closer to her. There, in the entrance of the royal den, she saw them. Simba's mane as well as his pelt had begun to lose it's shine and there were bags under his eye from all the stress he endured. The other eye, as she recalled, still had the leaf patch covering it. Shujaa, on the other paw, was young with his pelt not changing and a maroon Mohawk for the beginning of his mane. His purple eyes have slightly darkened, but the warmth in them has not faded. The cream-gold lioness had almost forgotten that the teen was blind in one eye, as his left turned outward. They all rushed to each other, nuzzling and embracing with tears in their eyes.
"We've missed you so much!", exclaimed Simba and Shujaa in unison.
"I've missed you all too!", Kiara looked around for Nala. "Where's Mom?" As if on cue, the queen walked into the den, nearly fainting when she saw her supposedly dead daughter.
"Kiara?!", she said with tears pouring down her face. The two lionesses nuzzled and embraced while telling each other how much each was missed.
"Thank you Great Queens and Kingsā¦" Kiara said to herself.
